701  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if, we advertise bitcoin on T.V.? on: March 15, 2018, 04:42:04 PM
During the 2018 superbowl, the biggest televised event of the year in the USA (aside from maybe the state of the union) there was a TD ameritrade commercial that quoted at the end "now listing bitcoin futures" it was some sort of 1 sentence like that....but it included bitcoin.

I think bitcoin has hit a point of mass awareness in the USA, 4 years ago if you asked someone on the street most people would not of heard of it.....ask now in 2018 i think most people will say they have heard about it in some kind of way through news or past nefarious events....but those people still wont be using it.
702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]★CryptoBridge★BCO★🔹Decentralized EXchange 📈RELEASED NOW BETA🔹 on: March 15, 2018, 04:36:44 PM
Who know when be next payout for staking? One week before i got first staking commision after first week staking. Then buy more bco and put to stake. In website writed that payouts are weekly. 7 days gone from last payouts.

bi-weekly, twice a month or every 15 days.
You can see in your account when you got the last rewards. 15 days from it. The payout is independent from your staking position. If you stake only three days before the next payout, you receive a proportional payout.

thanks for this information
didn't know about the proportional payment for lpositions started after the cut
where did you find it?

hey i was susing the staaking option for cryptobridge but i got my payouts in nearly 1000 alts. How do you guys sell your staking reward coins fast ?I got a lot of small amount of coins in my wallet but it would take ages to serach every single coin (without serach bar option ) and sell ?

1000 alts?
it's like 20-50 máx
afaik there's no way to sell all at once, you'd have to go through each pair.

Ya know what you mean, its like 100-500sats worth of every alt everytime they do a payout for staking. It's probably not even worth the time to go through each one at current prices, I am thinking just wait until all my staking periods are over with then i may go through and sell each off....hopefully by that time they are each worth something more substantial.
703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: March 15, 2018, 02:22:35 PM

Yup, I think that's kind of a big deal, currently they have listed BTC, BCH, ETH, ETC and LTC.

Maybe someone will want to jump in and correct me hear but it seems to me like Circle is trying to position itself to be a direct competitor to coinbase, and out of all those coins ETC is the only one not listed on coinbase. So if I was coinbase I would want to make sure I had the same options available as my competitors.

That's one reason why I think coinbase may list ETC next.

Another reason could be that there are people who never withdrew their ETC before the december 2016 deadline. Anyone have experience with this? I feel like they have an obligation to honor those ETC to ETH holders, how long can they just hold those coins hostage ya know? This could be another reason why they would list it I think.

They kept saying "no we aren't listing BCH"...then out of the blue they just listed it...same could happen with ETC. We will see
704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAG] X11 POS/POW+Masternodes MAGNET / magnetwork.io on: March 14, 2018, 09:43:44 PM
I agree, the project is underestimated.... But will it be possible to change the situation over time?

yes

since late last year magnet has been exploited by big miners who institute their own parameters and block masternode payments, if your running a masternode right now the rewards are decreased dramatically because of this...the developers/community have been searching for a fix

but it shows that their are miners out there with big wallets who are interested in this coin and are willing to expend alot of resources to get alot of MAG.....alot of people on discord have been praising this but on the contrary it could be bad for the market in the future..

overall Mag is still a good masternode coin with committed development and long term holders, the price action really represents an overall bear trend in masternode coins in general plus the constant exploit of these miners.

in price relative to bitcoin i think and hope 1300-1500 sats is the floor

You see it depend. If some miners decide to stop mining it because it seems not really profitable, difficulty and global hashrate will drop meaning it will be more profitable to those big wallet miners who will jump in again and dump again. The price will drop further if you smaller miners decide to stop and move on to another coin.

Yup good point, we will have to see how it pans out, its been a shared frustration between all the masternode operators yet total masternode count seems to be increasing, but at this point it almost makes more sense to stake if you have multiple masternodes.

I think everyone should just relax and wait for the mainnet to be release.
And if you want to speculate on the future price, because some shady exchange added the coin, well it's at your own risk.

I see no reason to give high hopes on this coin. It seems to me that this project will not be successful. People have already lost interest in the technological side of this project. They are only interested in selling coins.

First POS consensus mechanism even in cold storage....thats reason enough to have high hopes, just because people selling their coins doesnt mean the project won't be successful...

laugh all you want but i really think ETC has a real shot to get listed on coinbase

Isn't DPOS algorithm of coins like ARK allowing it from a long time? When you choose a delegate, you could keep your coins in a cold storage and POS.
But I need to claim few hundred CLO anyway and will test it.

I don't think anyone needs to be a delegate to receive staking rewards, one of the ploys of ETC is a store of value so it goes along with this...your right we will have to wait and test

707  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 14, 2018, 07:15:40 PM
I bought my first coins back in 2013, and I am a permabull / maximalist. HOWEVER, it looks like we're entering a multi-year bear market.
https://youtu.be/vX1BjDHhuVk?t=54m58s
The question is now when to buy back... We could approach 2k with enough fud. My orders will be spread between 2k and 6k.
Oh yeah, and Bitcoin is doomed, it's a pyramid scheme and a scam  Grin.

cummmonn dude dont say that...i dont want to hear it... Undecided

been around since late 2013 and i lived through that 2 year bear market and it sucked, this is what i have been afraid of since december..

I want to believe that a 2 year bear market wont hold because of way more interest and on ramps (exchanges) for buyers...maybe you are right though...

of course one stroke of political/economic instability could change that right?
708  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BCC] Bitconnect Coin - Decentralized Cryptocurrency on: March 14, 2018, 07:05:16 PM
The reason for the failure of Bitconnect is not only because it is a Ponzi scheme, but more importantly, it has lost the centering test.

what is the centering test ?

its probably nothing, just some random crap made up and pulled from his ass, i see sooo many of these post its ridiculous, post that are just a sentence long and make literally zero sense in regards to the topic of convo at hand.

just people running bots to boast their post count to exploit signature campaigns, extremely annoying and another way all these ICO dollars are going to waste

710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ICON - Interchain Blockchain Network / Hyperconnect the World! on: March 14, 2018, 06:31:05 PM
Korea plans to allow ICO which should be bullish for ICON. Is there a central place where all ICOs on ICON are listed? I found a list here: http://icosnitch.com/icon/

There are 5 ICO listed:
Tink
Silkroad
Sentinel Protocol
Blue Whale
AD4th

In my opinion after watching the videos of all of these the only one that seems interesting and unique is sentinel, the others seem just like so many other ICOs out there, remember most ICOs from 2017 have already failed, most will continue to fail...but icon the platform itself will live on undoubtedly
711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS - Asynchronous Smart Contract Platform - (Dan Larimer of Bitshares/Steem) on: March 13, 2018, 09:03:18 PM
EOS can only be used a hedge against ethereum, should ethereum fails in scaliabily or something else goes wrong. Otherwise I do not see it going much far. It will have it’s market share but nowhere near to ethereum or neo. When cardano enters the sphere that will also have an impact on all platforms.

How NEO somehow gets lumped in the same category as Ethereum is beyond me....its literally no better than waves...every crypto newbie in 2017 is bagholding NEO.
712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmark on: March 13, 2018, 08:36:01 PM
Classic pump & dump shit. Shooting up from 0.90 yesterday to almost $6 in less than 24 hrs. Fuckin' shit man. Asshole whales getting rich again.

So you sort CMC by 24 hour % price increase then spam whatever forum that has the biggest increase and call it a pump and dump by assholes huh?  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Cheesy Cheesy

someone probably bought the book all the way up by mistake

any chance marking will still be available since circle bought polo?

old unique project, fair launch no premine, had its day before, probably will again

PS: crypto bridge is a really good DEX that is reliable and is built off of gateways from bitshares network, yall should look into that, i dont know anything about trade by trade

713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: March 13, 2018, 07:45:07 PM

This is interesting, I may get slammed for this but I really think that the next most likely coin to be added to coinbase is ETC, to alot of people it wouldnt make sense but I think from a coinbase perspective it makes perfect sense.....they literally had it enabled back in 2016..

714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES | Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform | SMART CONTRACTS COMING! on: March 13, 2018, 07:26:36 PM
Anyone else here expecting top 10 by market cap for Waves within the next couple months?

That definitely seems like a possibility. Everything I see makes me believe Waves is still very undervalued.

And also, an additional note, if you can check the chart of Waves in the past year, its bull run started at this same timeframe. So yeah, I'm also seeying Waves in the top 10 group  by market cap in cryptocurrencies in the coming months. They are continuously giving updates and doing improvements in their platform without being affected by the price of it right now. The devs just focus on making this coin a better one compared to the other coins. I'm currently stacking up Waves at these prices. Think about it, Waves' ATH is in 250k sats and now, we are at 62k sats. Too much room to grow.  Wink

I'm glad to see others feel the same way about Waves as I do. I can see nothing but more success ahead. Especially with smart contracts coming up and such dedication of the team.

Considering how other projects have 2-5x the market cap of Waves but dont even have their own chain yet should say something....

I think that what drives these markets is not tech and updates, more hype than anything

I could see a scenario where projects like EOS, Tron, ADA and ICON loose portions of market cap overtime after they launch their main nets and projects like Waves mature in market cap.
Remember that an ath of 250k sats now would put waves at around 20$, only 4x in USD what it is now, so the prices of these altcoins in USD is heavily dependent on bitcoin.
715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Invest in EOS on: March 13, 2018, 03:53:33 PM
Well considering that John Oliver talked about EOS on his segment on comedy central and basically made it look bad it may not be the best time to invest...

Yes the developer of EOS has a lot of experience but also know that there are several other projects that are looking to also be the "next ethereum"

may be best to spread that 5k among several alts...good luck
716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: March 13, 2018, 03:46:34 PM
If anyone missed the crypto currency segment by John Oliver I highly recommend watching it, I think overall he paints a somewhat accurate picture of crypto currency while getting some laughs as well.

An interesting side note is that their people contacted CEO Paul Snow of factom to get more information on blockchain.

Find the segment and the link to the tweet by @factom
https://www.reddit.com/r/factom/comments/83yvyf/paul_snow_contributed_to_john_olivers/

I find it incredibly ironic that in the segment John talks about how EOS has raised 1.5 billion and literally have no product yet.....meanwhile they have to contact factom to get information about the industry while factom's market cap sits at 1/5th that of EOS's.......think about that for a minute...
717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS - Asynchronous Smart Contract Platform - (Dan Larimer of Bitshares/Steem) on: March 12, 2018, 08:21:11 PM
Dang John Oliver just shredded you guys in front of millions of viewers....

Shredded ‘us’ or made a fool of himself?

1. Time will tell.
2. One thing is clear: he did not investigate the merits of each project. So it seems.

And DeepOnion mentioned, isn’t that great too?

Ya deeponion! I was surprised at the list he came up with when talking about all the other alt coins, wax, insanecoin, deeponion haha

Thats good for all those coins I guess, I just think he was really harsh on EOS for some reason, very true he could have been harsh on others too, but your right time will tell
718  Economy / Economics / Re: BITCOIN PRICE IN 2050 - ACCORDING TO VITALIK BUTERIN! on: March 12, 2018, 03:50:53 PM
singularity....tech will move so fast in the next 30 years the world could be night and day to what it is now, bitcoin could still have its place but it could be completely different...

who knows, but i honestly dont think the crazy predictions are that outlandish when you look at the current fiat system

i still think one of the biggest driving factors of crypto currency adoption is global financial instability, people forget about cryphrus in 2013, if that happens on a bigger scale in europe...bitcoin price will rip so hard and so fast it will be insane
719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ¤ DMD Diamond 3.0 | Scarce ¤ Valuable ¤ Secure | PoS 3.0 | Masternodes 65% on: March 12, 2018, 03:15:38 PM
I think Diamond has held up well in the last 2 months with the current bear market we are experiencing. DMD has come down in price but not as much as most other cryptocurrencies out there and also it was good to see masternodes increase which tells us that there is support for the coin even though the market is bearish at the moment. Good signs going forward!

We have tested these levels around 100k sats before late last year only to hold and pop back up to above 200k for a while, so I am confident (hopefully) that history will repeat itself, dmd has always done fairly well holding price in btc regardless of market conditions. good masternode coin
720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS - Asynchronous Smart Contract Platform - (Dan Larimer of Bitshares/Steem) on: March 12, 2018, 03:02:28 PM
Dang John Oliver just shredded you guys in front of millions of viewers....

What's yalls thoughts on this? It really does shed some light on the over exuberance of investing in blockchain..

Not trolling, I just want some thoughts on this because it was the most negative part of his segment aside from bitconnect....so the avg person watching comedy central now probably lumps EOS in the same category as bitconnect....that isn't good.

I will say that I am excited to see what block.one does with EOS and I think that graphene is one of the most interesting consensus mechanism out there....thats what EOS will be built on right??  Cheesy

Lastly I always see people claiming cryptos are way over valued in market cap, but these are global markets ya know? whats 1 billion dollars spread around the world, also CMC has a funny way of calc market cap i think.
