Can someone with valid proof please explain how this is a ponzi scheme? Do we need to look up the definition of ponzi scheme here? I've been getting paid daily, I've had no issues, I've had zero problems.  I guess getting paid daily is a problem.  Most of the haters are probably people who don't have money to invest. Where else can you make 140% ROI? Plus you get your initial investment back.  You want to buy coins and sit around daily waiting on the next big news to move your coin, go ahead.  Time is money, bitconnect pays daily.  Reinvest or buy more crypto daily from the profits generated.  It's really simple.  Better yet, transfer your earnings to a bitpay card and live off bitconnect.  Its actually a pretty nice life really!

I pity and emphasize for you, and for your sake I hope you don't get burned. When i first got into crypto i was really delusional about a lot of things too. (nothing personal) but i understand how exciting and emotional it can get when you start making money so easily.

Yes you have been getting paid daily and have no problems yet, but im telling you MT.GOX, CRYTSY, MINTPAL.....the days leading up everyone felt the same way you did...then WAM...no withdraws, no support money basically gone. You cant understand that because it hasn't happened to you yet!!

Ask yourself this, if bitconnect is really sooo good and the investment opportunity of a lifetime then why aren't the real bitcoin whales and gurus talking about it and investing in it??
1143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BCC] Bitconnect Coin - Decentralized Cryptocurrency on: October 20, 2017, 08:43:56 PM
I check up on this coin from time to time since i had family members ask my opinion about it months ago. I got into bitcoin and trading altcoins in 2013.

I went through the ringer of scam coins and exchange hacks over the years like mintpal, mt gox, cryptsy, bter ect....i had to learn the hard way that its never a good idea to keep your coins/money on a centralized and unregulated provider.

All the people that are lending are holding their trust and money with a centralized unregulated provider just like mt.gox or cryptsy.

My BIGGEST concern with bitconnect is that MOST of the investors are new to crypto and do not fully understand the risk of this.

I hope for my family's sake it last for many years and they get their money out when they are ahead.

Not trying to be a pessimist but I seriously doubt we would be able to get listed on major exchanges like bitstamp/kraken/bitfinex..they aren't really exchanges geared towards altcoins anyways.

I think cryptopia would be a great fit, do you guys think they will charge us the 4btc even though we were previously listed there??

Also i I think poloniex would be amazing but also another long shot, like some other people said bittrex is fine but we do need a backup.

1145  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ¤ DMD Diamond 3.0 | Scarce ¤ Valuable ¤ Secure | PoS 3.0 | Masternodes 65% on: October 18, 2017, 08:14:58 PM
sry...I know that coins are going up and down but I just don't understand what is happening right now. I am not panicking or the like, but I would just like to understand what is going on. Why the sudden drop? There must be a reason that I don't see as I am probably not deep enough in the crypto space. But I have been a dmd supporter since 2014. Maybe someone can clarify? Thanks.

If i had to guess I would say it's because people are selling off DMD for BTC for the coming fork of bitcoin gold in order to get that free coin. It makes sense because so many other altcoins have had the same price movement.

What concerns me is that the number of masternodes are growing not increasing, so that may mean that the only people who sold off their DMD were stakers. It couple be more profitable for someone with 10k dmd to just stake now insteadt of run a masternode.

One thing thats important to remember is that dmd is up like 300% this year vs btc, i think it started 2017 at around 15-20ksats. So even at 126k sats its still WAY up.

Some other things to note is that DMD is only really traded on one exchange, if we get more exchanges then more investors could flow in. Another thing is that the market cap is only 16mil, compare that maybe to PIVX which is like 200mil?? Alot of room to grow

does anyone know the requirements to get added to cryptopia?

hopefully price will bottom out soon, with almost half of all DMD locked away in masternodes i thought this would really help sustain the price....i guess there were alot more speculators around the 3.0 release than i thought

$10/dmd was really nice when it lasted...

I had to restart my wallet about 2 hours ago.
Restarted masternode and wallet unlocked.

MN shows in list of all but, active time shows at 0
even thoughit has been 2 hours. How can I tell if it
is really working if active time is not increasing.

if u restart ur control wallet u dont have to restart the remote masternode!

only if the remote masternode is restarted u need to start him again with control wallet

just try send the start-alias masternode again and wait 1 hour

if it doesnt help u need to restart remote node and then start again the masternode after give himn a proper time to sync up

so in theory all someone really needs to keep running is the remote masternode? and they would still be receiving rewards to the controller wallet even if its closed?

Does anybody have news about when Bittrex is going to re-open DMD for deposits?

hopefully today, they told dev in a couple hours

Hey guys. Got a question. At the moment I'm staking with my desktop PC. For long term I want to switch it to my Raspberry. Is the Raspberry wallet with a GUI or not? Is using a raspberry recommended? The setup guide is a little bit outdatet and I dont want to waste my time in setting my raspberry up if there is no use for it. Thank you.

I am also interested in setting up my wallet on a raspberry pi, i have a pi2

Hey Guys,

a question about the upcoming snapshot:

method 1 and 2 / am I able to do the same now (12 of sept)? Because it's wrote up the 10th

Need I just to secure the Wallet.dat, and swap it to the new chain?

We need 10k DMD to make a MN, right?

Thanks

I suggest you have your private key as well, method 1, just in case. Later on you can import it to the new wallet which will be available on the 15th.
You can export your privatekey today if you want as well.

Yes, 10k per masternode, if less you can go for standard PoS.

I think that in theory you could do method one at anytime, even months from now just dumping and importing your pivatekey. But what I wonder is if you needed to consolidate some change addresses to one? Would he/she still be able to do that even if 2.0 is over with?

OK has really proven to be a coin worth investing in for the future, I wouldnt be so surprised if in 2 years from now I wake up and found OK at 300 usd per coin, this is why am gonna keep investing in OK cash as am getting money
I joined the rush Smiley

Do you believe it will be 10USD/750M MC by the end of the year?

And where are we on Polo?

these last two post are great examples of over exuberant shilling during a pump, the coin has had a nice run and is up over 3300% since May!!!

the first post seems to think that in 2 years it will go up another 43,300%

and the second is asking if it will go up another 1349%

both highly unlikely, if your a newcomer realize that now is not a good time to buy despite the coin being a good one, wait for the price to correct first

huge congrats to the long term holders and developer of this coin!! always liked it as a staking coin and the pi distribution is great! i had sold back in 2016 for a nice gain

I noticed there are coupon codes on the sign up page for the conference. How would one perhaps attain one of those? Wink

Was just reading the Gunbot thread and the author says in a recent post the average profit is 1% daily...  that seems to coincide with bitconnect's claim. Or is Gunbot not really profitable despite everyone claiming it to be?

(just noticed bitconnect changed their login so that people can't bypass the reCaptcha any more when logging in - they used to allow logging in on the top right of their pages without it)

i think that institutional bots even have a hard time yielding the type of returns bcc is offering, after keeping up on this topic off and on im starting to think they may not even have a bot at all.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ob_tNKuhIQ

this could end badly for a lot of people, to anyone thinking about "lending"...just buy BCC itself and stake it. atleast then your in control of your money

The gunbot you have in quotes is real and it makes 1 or 2% daily, of course sometimes you have a loss, sometimes you have bigger profit, but on average they make about 1-2%. You can read their thread it is here on the forum also.

Institutional bots on crypto are not there yet as institutions are not investing massively into it... So if they have a bot that is close to gunbot they can easily achieve 1% on average daily... The only company or institution I see is trying to create a bot is Rialto (they also have a thread here). And they are focusing on arbitrage, so plenty of room in crypto for bots and institutions...

I know what the gunbot is and i use a bot regularly to trade....and its not like some magic program where you hit a button and all the sudden you have 1-2% trickling in everyday. You have to program it and know exactly how to set the parameters.

My point is that big money institutions with some of the best financial minds have a tough time programming a bot that yields the same returns BCC is offering, so to invest with confidence your going to have to believe that this company bitconnect has the most amazing bot in the world.

lol its so irresponsible to try and refer people to this, i cant believe people encourage it so much! do people seriously have no clue about the risk?! mt gox, mintpal, bitfinex, bter...the list goes on and on. and these were just 3rd party exchanges (which bitconnect is)...not to mention the supposed pyramid scheme....how would you guys feel if you referred your family and friends and then they lost a bunch of money?
1160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [HYP] HyperStake | Generous Reward Staking | Advanced Staking Controls & Wallet on: September 05, 2017, 08:59:18 PM

Hello! I am new to Hyperstake!

I have a question:

What is the minimum balance I must have before I can even hope minting new coins?  I ask this because in many proof of stake coins you never stake anything if you have less than several million coins...

Thanks for any help!

It's all personal opinions.  I would say 200K divided into 10K blocks.   My guess is you would see 1-2 stakes per week.  I could be totally off.

I always kept the block size large when I didn't have many coins, So I would insure they would stake, and as I got more and more coins I would decrease the size, so more of the luck factor comes into play.

1-2 stakes per week...how much is that in coins?

Every stake is 1000 hyper, no little, no more. So at current prices 2000 hyper per week is equal to ~$3.5 per week. You can expect around %70 annual interest rate but it is subject to fluctuate. If you want higher quantity of stake simply buy more hyper.

You might confuse some users as hyper is a different coin from hyperstake (HYP).

Ya my bad there, to anyone new please dont confuse HyperStake with the coin HYPER, both are listed on coinmarket cap
