1641  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long the high transaction fees will last? on: May 12, 2023, 07:02:59 AM
Real scaling? That would mean finding a way to make data that has to be processed by each node smaller and smaller, and therefore making what the network requires from full nodes lower and lower.
Seems impossible but we dont knownin the future if someone can able to configure such tech for this to work. But I doubt the scenario wouldnt slow down for months as Social media keeps getting attention on these ordinals. The more people expose to this then many more would be interested to waste high gas fees just to earn a fraction of potential profits from high floor prices on dapps supporting the ordinals. More pain for bitcoin users small or big people.
1642  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How long the high transaction fees will last? on: May 11, 2023, 09:25:22 AM
High fees might also be a blessing. It forces people with paper-hands to HODL while demand for Bitcoin goes higher.
Thats a positive perspective. However its like being force to hold due to the fees, but bitcoin circulation have been halt for people who dont want to spenf some fees too. Yes it could boost price since many wouldnt not spend for high fees and instead wait for it to decrease. Also a smart move but this will categorize people as holder or investors. Bitcoin is nice to be used if possible in transacting peer to peer like remittance can send easily.

Some people are calling it an "attack"? Thank the "attackers" for making Bitcoin more valuable from an economic perspective.
Im curious if this is really an attack like to fud on bitcoin but rather than an additional application of bitcoin through ordinals which is found by someone. However the utlity of those ordinals somehow vague and only for trading through their dapps. Unless someone could step up and make it more useful instead of an expensive jpeg. Well still early maybe some satoshi like genius could fix the high rate fees and include those ordinals on bitcoin chain without affecting. I believe someone will solve this if not now maybe for quite sometime.
1643  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What are the do's and dont's of signature on: May 11, 2023, 09:15:22 AM
Everything you do on the forum does not have to be inspired by the signature out promote. It is good to be a regular forum person.
Thats right. But sometime we cant argue to this as some are really posting for the sake of their requirements. Finding topics you are into are also hard so if you somehow engage in unfamiliar one, then adapt and read and maybe youll learn something beneficial to the topic. Apparently, people are barking even they doesnt even understand what they are explaining. Youll noticed that when you see them how to engage in certain boards.
1644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Venom Token Potential Reward For Early TestNet Users - Guide on: May 11, 2023, 05:30:53 AM
One way or another, you will have to join the Discord, since there you need to publish a report on the work done in the test network. It is possible that the airdrop distribution will take into account the date when you joined the Discord, since this was previously implemented by SUI. Therefore, it is better to do it now, when the load on the network is minimal.
Yeah damn right. But I think its important as well the transaction done, but I feel it need some more requirement to limit the sybil for this airdrop if ever. Since the wallets have been created are already massive and we surely have some farmers from them. SUI was poorly give credits to their early community as the only requirement is joining discord to be allowlist.
1645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Venom Token Potential Reward For Early TestNet Users - Guide on: May 10, 2023, 10:45:30 AM
Now the test network really works fast and, accordingly, you can complete all tasks quickly and without problems. It is obvious that the number of participants who were in a hurry to complete tasks in the first days after the announcement has already greatly decreased.
Im not yet doing some additional task for venom like joining their discord and some, you think I should claim it now while the network is fast so that when the new tasks appeared Im already ready? It seems that the wallets are highly sybil. That 350k accounts are a lot for a few weeks launch projects. I do hope this will screened carefully as many farmers will definitely try to farm this with multiple accounts.
1646  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Civil War on: May 10, 2023, 09:24:48 AM
Funny how everyone including the news is trying to make it as "Luke Dashjr vs. the world" and conveniently ignore that I and other members of this community also stand against them.
Its because thats on social media and thats more visible to a lot of audience. Kinda read the convos on that thread. Almost all are CTs and blue tagged people, whom have different opinion about it. Based on the thread they way more favor or bullish on whats happening on the ordinals but some also dont agreed since its affecting the majority. Its just that those guys have a deep pocketed purse that they can make this more longer. Until they are satisfied with the gains they would leave bitcoin nfts behind. Some retailers are takign action as the number of ordinals wallet are increasing.
1647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Ordinals on the edge of getting canceled on: May 10, 2023, 08:10:27 AM
I doubt it would be easy but Id definitely vote for it if ever but could they really make a consensus on a number 1 decentralized platform? Id love the ordinals to slow down a bit but its probably impossible now its getting a lot of eyes on different field.

Seeing Binance posted about it will make it more wide to more users.

I noticed that starting today, the "Earn more VENOM" bonus offers have become available again. But even by completing daily quests, I managed to accumulate a sufficient number of test coins, which I think will be enough for me to complete the second round of the test program.
Yes I saw it cause I didnt do the venom testnet while everyone doing it and when I did it last night it seems that it was very easy unlike many are doing it, they said its lag and quite slow. Ive seen also the additional venom so I'll probbaly get that venom and save for the next task. This is a larger and organized testnet which is quite good. Hope we can get a good amount of drops considering the participants joined.
1649  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The severity of the Ordinals Attack is increasing on: May 09, 2023, 03:54:28 PM
Yup, wishful thinking. Maybe it won't technically "last", but it could easily take years until they run out of funds to spam, and that's all they need...
I doubt these ordinals geeks who loves nft (now BRC-20) that earned them good money would stop as long as they keep earning from the trend of it. So maybe we are talking about a long time problem here for the bitcoin community as these high fees wouldnt regress for a while. It will go down but some folks are now spamming on socials on how good profits are being drawn on brc20. Ive saw some airdrops being posted on twitters with dozens of feed and comments. Crazy it is!
1650  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lawyer for insurance claim for devaluation of staked USDC on: May 09, 2023, 03:43:38 PM
Are the platform operators obliged to send me the worthless wrapped UST?
Probably they wont entertain the tickets especially if dozens of people are probably engage in the same scenario. They are gonna be tired of handling this when all the things already been fail. But I think they are obliged which should be on the platform TOS as mentioned by Tytanowy.

Im sorry to hear this kind of things. Hopefully you get your funds. They should compensate you with something at least since you also have an insurance for that.
1651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is anyone planning to take part in the Open Campus (EDU) Binance Launchpad? on: May 08, 2023, 10:28:17 AM
Whales do not participate in public rounds. There are always separate rounds for whales and big players.
Those getting 15k allocation arent those whales? Surely the amount of bnb they hold to join is massive and considered whales. There is no other round on Binance aside from launchpad. If big players joining a round which is cheaper than this then its between the project and them not necessary commisioned on binance IEO. Ive been joining IEO on binance and there are no options for whales there. Only for ALL.

Nowhere did I state that it was necessary in the launchpool.
This one. Correction Sui didnt do launchpad and no need to buy on launchpool. Its different from launchpad. If you hold bnb already just staked it and its considered free tokens coming your purse. Various bots? Its just a stake and plug mode, and I doubt bot is necessary. Its not lottery.

For example, the recent IEO SUI attracted a huge number of farmers and various bots, who bought up in huge quantities verified exchange accounts to participate in IEO and get the opportunity to buy as many tokens as possible.

1652  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The severity of the Ordinals Attack is increasing on: May 08, 2023, 08:28:57 AM
What do you mean by illegal?
I mean something shouldnt have done at all. But we all know bitcoin is decentralized and if the protocol or thing he created (ordinals) have something wont put him in jail then theres nothing wrong though it really affect the whole network.

But some people do have an interest in it: imagine you own a BTC mining pool, which does not pay transaction fees to its miners.
Imagine the profit you make when the fees are 1.5 BTC or more per block?!
Exactly and we cant stop it right? Only we wait for this to die down or should we say if they already grabbed a lot of profits. Adoption can be good if many can use bitcoin but I doubt some are gonna use it when the fees are really high like this.
1653  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WARNING] Stay away from BRC-20 tokens - there are far better options on: May 08, 2023, 07:19:57 AM
BRC-20 tokens aren't NFT because there's no uniqueness of one to another, so it's just like altcoins created in Bitcoin network. It seems all the BRC-20 tokens has a limit supply, since it's already minted 100% and many people join this hype, this make the price of the token skyrocketed.
Oh alright, Ive been able to understand more so indeed its happening on bitcoin network.

Ive been able to understand more upon reading this article from coingecko.

https://www.coingecko.com/learn/bitcoin-ordinals-nft

It seems that domo created a way to fully launch nft or called ordinals in btc network. This could really affect regular btc users as transaction fees are too high, it seems this hype is for web3 peeps and people who are into nft collections and of course money grabbers, and flip takers.
1654  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The severity of the Ordinals Attack is increasing on: May 08, 2023, 06:53:59 AM
I wonder how much more should we wait to stop this attack? The fees are ridiculous, 100sat/vbyte is a reality already now (if you want reasonable transaction times). I'm waiting for the core devs to respond to this hostile action against Bitcoin. Taproot bug must be fixed.
I think we should only wait for the hype to die down. Degen peoples are increasing the trading of those so called ordinals. Its true this will affect regular business or merchants that use of bitcoin for transaction. But does this action by the creatoe who established this new tech of ordinals is illegal? I mean does core devs can somehow fix this? Since the creator choose to use a decentralized platform for this idea.
1655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WARNING] Stay away from BRC-20 tokens - there are far better options on: May 08, 2023, 06:30:06 AM
I think when the BRC-20 hype trend is over, this happen when the token price isn't increase higher than the fees they've spend, so the project will consider to use the other alternative chain like counter party, OMNI and RGB you mentioned above. But AFAIK those chain is really underrated, not many people use it, so it's not liquid.
Can you explain whats happening out there. Ive seen a lot of social influ posting about it and its like people are grabbing some attention with this. Ive seen some nft with prices skyrocketed. So this domo on twitter the creator created a very contorversial tech?
1656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [WARNING] Stay away from BRC-20 tokens - there are far better options on: May 08, 2023, 05:55:07 AM
Ive seen it on Twitter and even major platform like icodrops show the topic about BRC-20. This will be another hype. Of course for degen users this is a possible money printing but for bitcoin maxi this is bullshit project. I think this will be hyped but not will sustain its long term plan like they wanted. Experimental could be good but also dangerous.

Bitcoin has its reputation of being decentralized and this idea will not boost it more. Its still like an altcoin which being related to bitcoin. Even Saylor wouldnt mind this.

Google Authenticator can be said to be the most popular and used 2FA application. It's safe to use so far, but their only problem is collecting users' data without our permission.
Was this the reason for Binance announcement regarding the use of 2fa and disabling it. Ive read it somewhere their announcement maybe on Twitter but that means there something Google arent doing well here. So far I am only using Google 2fa but will look into other choices.

Thanks OP for showing the list might be helpful.
1658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I'm getting tired of the high fees for gwei on: May 07, 2023, 07:25:44 AM
The high fees of gwei in Ethereum transactions are due to the supply and demand dynamics of the network. When the network is congested, users need to pay higher fees to prioritize their transactions. The popularity of DeFi and NFTs has increased demand for Ethereum transactions, leading to higher fees.
Thats because od heavy usage happening now on some memecoin the eth network. Even sending tokens to exchange has needed tons of fees. Ive even spend $39 for a token just to send it on Binance hence if I used it on uniswap Id be spending more fees due to possible frontrun. But tou muat wait for it to cool down or used other network for now.
1659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Seeking help with PEPE on coinbase wallet on: May 06, 2023, 01:52:16 PM
wow you are really lucky mate, that amount you bought, is worth so much money by now, I believe you have taken profit already and looking for the next one  Grin, Please can you inbox me the actually tool you are using for the scanning, I want to catch the next upcoming memecoin
You just need to find a good meme token with a high security parameters.

Sure will share here:
https://de.fi/scanner

Just search the project token and youll see all important details that you need to see and tske into consideration. I believe memecoins are tend to rug based on the hype their get. A success like pepe would definitely abort dumping since its become a good one even listed on top exchanges.

Its like 1/100 chance so be careful with these memecoins.
1660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Seeking help with PEPE on coinbase wallet on: May 06, 2023, 03:21:16 AM
You can invest if you really have information or competent analytics that will help you make money.
Theres no need to check the quality of these memecoins or shitcoin except some important parameters like if their smart contract is clean, secured or dont have minting function or honeypot options.

Regarding content I guess all memecoin have baseless ideals and really depend on community hype. Ive bought pepe last 2weeks ago but only small amount only since its a memecoin and got a good community. Well I expect nothing from it either its a loss or not thats how risky memecoin.

Im using defi scanner a product of a very good project a tool for checking some of these shitcoins. Only a guide but its still up to some. Rules on shitcoins dont go big if you cant take it. Youll just get burn.
