Casascius made a gold coin loaded with 1000 BTC. I think there were only around five though and it's a tad out of reach for most. The Titan is the prettier coin for me anyway.

Do you know anyone the sells a Titan? Please can someone post here if they are selling.
they are for sale on their website. I don't see any reason why you would not buy directly from them at this point.

You can also find them on eBay, where you may be able to negotiate a better price.

Do Titan coins come loaded?
1662  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Obama to ban bullets by executive action, threatens top-selling AR-15 rifle on: March 12, 2015, 05:28:07 PM
If you don't like this you should organize a protest, peaceful of course, but make it known that you're unhappy. Gather as many people as possible and protest as much as you can. A sit in or general "occupy" style movement will help you get the most attention to your concerns. You can also have people contact their congress reps to relay your discontent.
1663  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Holy shit this is creepy. 9/11. Steven Emerson Adviser for the FBI on: March 12, 2015, 05:17:51 PM

Actually this is not just "some" evidence that is here. There were way too many coincidences that happened that day or the days prior to 9/11. Mathematically it is impossible. If you think about it, this 'terrorist fight' hasn't yielded any results so far, but with it, they have justification for spying on the population.

Very true. Actually, the Patriot Act as a whole was a huge hit (not in a good way) on our civil liberties and basic freedoms. Most people are just too oblivious to it as long as they get the constant "feel good" stream of crap from the media and are totally absorbed in the latest from the music and gaming industries to the point of not knowing or not caring what is actually going on in the world around them. Seems people these days are more interested in the latest app, Facebook post or Tweet to really care about important things.

I don't think people are oblivious to it. It's a very broad piece of legislation, therefore simple to understand. Additionally, it works both ways. Government can demand information from the people (almost at will) but so can the People, through the media. And the media has done it several times, gone to court to demand release of the information and WON!

There's a level of political apathy in the US that's unfortunate. People don't care enough about politics, don't think they can effect change (even though the People have the vote), or they're just too consumed in their own life - yes part of that is shitty cable TV (i.e., American Idol) but part of it is also making ends meet.

The social media apps do a great service to spreading current events to people that don't watch or read the news regularly (e.g., the SAE Fraternity racist chant video when viral on social media before the traditional media reported on it, the issue in Ferguson, the GOP's letter to Iran, etc.).

How do you propose we bring the value of the vote and politics and involvement back to the American people?
1664  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Canada? Police Can Force You to Show Them Everything You Have on Your Phone on: March 12, 2015, 05:11:14 PM
Why did they ask to see his phone? What suspicion did they have? What "probable cause"?

I've never heard of a border agent asking to look in someone's phone so I'm assuming that this guy had or did something that led border agents to believe they needed to see the phone.

If this guy was just a victim of a random search I hope he wins his case and sparks a privacy rights movement in Canada.
1665  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New Development On Mt. Gox Scam on: March 12, 2015, 05:05:58 PM
Ross is a US citizen, Mark is not. So the US is not going to be able to prosecute Mark for anything...Mt Gox wasn't operated in the US!
1666  Economy / Economics / Re: What if the necessity of use outweighs the desire of gold? on: March 12, 2015, 06:39:12 AM
Spend, spend, spend!

Spend like Bernanke if you want cause the almighty BTC has controls in place to keep the spend from getting to Fed like craziness.

Mining wouldn't halt at all, there will always be an operation that can make a profit mining, it's all about scale.
1667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Maybe a Japanese looted Mt. Gox on: March 12, 2015, 06:32:59 AM
Can you share the leaked list of accounts so we can see what you're talking about?

Have a link?
1668  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 🌟 TRADE Your Physical Cryptos HERE 🌟 on: March 12, 2015, 06:29:36 AM
What's your favorite physical crypto coin?

Any that are taking off alongside Casascius?
1669  Economy / Collectibles / Re: WTS Casascius Coins 2013 on: March 12, 2015, 06:28:37 AM
What are you asking? Any minimum levels or are all offers considered?
1670  Economy / Goods / Re: Girl Scout Cookies! on: March 12, 2015, 06:25:21 AM
Might be interested if prices were quoted in BTC...I don't understand that weird "S" symbol before your numbers.

Buying 100 boxes from your relative is amazing, good work!
1671  Economy / Goods / Re: Girl Scout Cookies @ www.eatyummythings.com - limited time on: March 12, 2015, 06:24:21 AM
You have some competition from aacoin and his prices are cheaper...$3.50 per box.

By the way, why aren't your prices quoted in Bitcoin? This isn't Fiat Forum!
1672  Economy / Goods / Re: Bitcoin eBay auctions on: March 12, 2015, 06:14:07 AM
Anyone listing bitcoins on ebay? Let me know I would like to buy.

Dude, you should go to eBay and see what's listed!
1673  Economy / Goods / Re: Bitcoin eBay auctions on: March 12, 2015, 06:13:23 AM
There's a boat load of hard coins, some tokens, some loaded on eBay.

http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2050601.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.A0.H0.Xcasascius+coin.TRS1&_nkw=casascius+coin&ghostText=&_sacat=0

Most of the coins (i.e., Lealana's, Titan's, etc.) include "Casascius Coin" in the description, for obvious reasons. It's been rare in the last few months to find a loaded Casascius coin at a fair value. There are 1 or 2 2011 versions with buy-it-now prices of $2000 or greater, insane.
1674  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is It Possible to Insure Bitcoin Technology? on: March 12, 2015, 06:05:44 AM
Technically yes, but it leaves a lot of risk with the insurance company. I think it's possible in a bank style insurance. Coinbase could provide insurance against hacks on their system or fraud against you because they'd be able to track the access to your account.

If you made a claim, lost or stolen, the insurance company could see if you re-routed the coins on your own or not by analyzing your online activity. But if you conducted the fraud from a library or hotel computer they'd have nearly zero way of really researching the issue.

1675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So we did stop calling it an experiment, did we not? on: March 12, 2015, 05:59:14 AM
An Experiment is a test under controlled conditions that is done to demonstrate a known truth.

We're certainly beyond the "test under controlled conditions" part. Maybe we've enter the "Project" phase. It implies that provides a fix or solution to a problem and keeps the fact that it could end as a possibility.

The Technology Adoption Lifecycle (how do I insert a picture) has the following phases: Innovators, Early Adopters, Early Majority, Late Majority, Laggards. I'd say we're nearing the end of the Early Adopters phase, which would indicate that experiment was successful.

Here's one final idea...is it too soon to call it a revolution?

1676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Starting an Australian BTC party. on: March 12, 2015, 05:48:40 AM
The platform would be way too narrow.

What would the BTC Party's take be on healthcare, environmental issues, foreign affairs and diplomacy, land management, etc?

1677  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin movies? on: March 12, 2015, 05:46:55 AM
I guess we need to add the upcoming documentary on the Silk Road to the list.

Got this link from another thread: http://bitforum.info/t/silk-road-documentary-deep-web-trailer-is-now-available/320

Note how Bitforum calls Ross "Dead Pirate Roberts" instead of "Dread..."
1678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin movies? on: March 12, 2015, 05:45:51 AM
Lol at Bit coin to not officially say Bitcoin.

Officially? It's not like Bitcoin is a brand. I guess it was actually an error.

Yeah, don't automatically default to CONSPIRACY! Subtitle technology just spells out the words, it's not smart enough to know that "bitcoin" is a thing...it just knows the words "bit" and "coin" and that they were said one after another.
1679  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: whats the most creative way of keeping bitcoins in cold storage on: March 12, 2015, 05:41:58 AM
Store it in a freezer, obviously...

But is that creative? How about in etched in metal and then frozen in the ice rink i've made in my backyard? I'm good for another month or so, then I'm fucked until December...
1680  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: whats the most creative way of keeping bitcoins in cold storage on: March 12, 2015, 05:40:36 AM
Etched in iron (or what ever metal has a higher melt threshhold), stored in a fire proof, immovable safe.

This would be protected against theft, fire, flood, death....
I am afraid nothing can protect you from death itself. I do not know what is the most creative way of keeping bitcoin in cold storage but I am sure that the best way it to keep it in the most inconspicuous way. As some old papers or book maybe. That way nobody would even notice it.

Not to protect me from death, but to protect my family from never being able to access my bitcoins when I die. That would be the worst, that they end up lost forever.
