Multipools giving us some love? Difficulty 66.01801461 with a net hash of 3500 MH/s which is 6 times the average rate.
And once again DigiShield performs marvelously and deters the hash jumpers right away! Sure does, all back to normal now so that's why the difficulty always jumps like crazy. that is some weird stuff.. Yes it does, it does exactly what it is supposed to do. In fact in works so well we are talking with the Dogecoin devs to potentially help them implement something similar. Would Dogecoin implementing Digishield benefit the Digibyte community? If so, how? Digishield getting credit for warding of the multipools off dogecoin would be a huge PR boost. When other coins look at dogecoin and sees the succesful anti-multipool system, they will be tempted to implement the same. All leading to Digibyte getting recognition. +1 Absolutely. Plus the Dogecoin devs do not get paid, and why not help each other out? The reason we got into crypto currency is because we believe it will help enrich the lives of everyone on the planet. Crypto currencies are the first technology in the history of the world to potentially solve the money problem and truly empower the common man or woman to actually take control of their financial future without corrupt politicians, central bankers and governments getting in the way. Crypto technology is the single biggest revolution in finance since the Bank of England started printing paper money in 1694. Sure, many people are purely motivated by greed and profit in the crypto world right now. But we believe even more people, including ourselves, know deep down that this technology will result in the betterment of all humanity. well, mining like this ain't fun. i've been watching it the last few days and i see is a big increase in hashrate of ~0.7 ghash every few minutes. means as soon as the diff is ~6 a big pool comes online, pumps the diff up to 27 and then leaves only to return when things are quieting down.. how am i supposed to calculate my earnings, what numbers to expect? You should be analyzing past daily performance, not trying to extrapolate what daily will be from hourly. What you don't see happening on DGB like other coins that use KGW, is difficulty takes a couple rounds to really meet up the hashrate - so behind the scenes, while you're oblivious to it, large hash farms like multipools are able to mine disproportionately more coins for the hashrate, then leave when that opportunity fades. They're doing the same thing here, but DigiShield is a bit more responsive than KGW. It offers a smaller window for big farms to do that, resulting in a more equitable mining experience for the whole. This doesn't somehow make the mining worse - it's just a new behavior you haven't seen before, because DGB is the first one to innovate and use this system. Excellent explanation. We could not of said it better ourselves! It is a new experience that is much more fair to everyone. But this is exactly why we have been working with the Dogecoin team the past few hours to help them implement and test a DigiShield implementation with Dogecoin. |
