I am also very eager, as is everyone else...now that the arguing and bickering has finally subsided I feel like I can finally talk... Cheesy

I tried out the Chroma Wallet today for Colored Coins and it's fairly intuitive and simple--not bloated like Mastercoin. I was able to create monikers for assets and put up bids and asks for them with bitcoins from testnet!  Honestly, I believe that Colored Coins has serious potential positive ramifications for the finance industry.  My only longterm con with it is its speed (TPS)...yes I know that bitcoin's transactions per second will eventually be upped when the network is stronger, but I am unsure if the speed of Colored Coins will ever be able to match something like the NASDAQ in speed, while also supporting inevitable future network growth.

I'm not sure how I feel about Crypto-Trade.com...I know I'm not going to trade my shares away, but I may consider buying some more.  I don't like the idea of a centralized trading platform just because of what's been happening this year with all the shutdowns, but it is a good solution for the meantime and it's definitely better than just waiting for Colored Coins.  Honestly, though...I'm foaming at the mouth for Colored Coins--it's genius IMO.

I assume the coloured coins can be loaded onto a central exchange like bitcoin can be and then traded much faster. Of course they could be loaded onto an exchange like Bitcoin is so no action is ever required by the issuer.

It's now Sunday, and our shares are still worthless because we are not on an exchange.
The inability to trade our shares means that we have no access to the Bitcoins they represent, which in turns means we have been defrauded.

If the ability does not exist to get our shares verified, then I doubt the ability exists to make anything else successful.

I really want to trade my shares. I don't understand why it has taken so long. This has been over 2 weeks now.

Ken can you just manually start adding us?
1703  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: December 22, 2013, 04:17:44 AM
you mean we arent actually going to hit 0.04?  i had so much faith in StuarkUK's speculation math...

Disregarding the point about ActiveMining being worth $1,000,000,000 all securities prices are a combination of math and speculation. This applies to every company on the Earth.

Even if a company has a solid fundamental reason for being worth what it is, the marketplace at large, (people) will move the price based on factors such as emotion, faith, wishful thinking and this can counter even the most solid math to price a share.

Shares are a combination of faith based and evidence based pricing models.

It's really hard for me to stay positive about ActM with the idiots in here.  They make me want to troll.

Well what do you expect? With no information there isn't much to post about so most of us are watching this thread only. Sometimes I respond to bad arguments being made but apart from that I am content with my knowledge thread.

Hint: The people still posting are going to have poor arguments because they must be making up drivel due to the fact that no new information has entered the system.

VE, all the non-idiot posters have mostly stopped posting.

1.  I am not "saving newbies," i'm saving my bitcoin from getting shat up by scam and failure like Active Mining.

If you believe that Active Mining can take down Bitcoin then why are you invested in Bitcoin in the first place.?

I can't imagine using a currency that one company can bring to its knees it would have no stability of long term purpose. If you really believe Active Mining can take down Bitcoin you should probably sell your coins.

Dude, this single pest couldn't take down my bitcoin, but let it go unchecked -- the filthy bugger would find a mate, breed and multiply!  Think of Active Mining as a tick and my bitcoin as a giant moose.  What harm could one tick do?  Well bro, check this out:

Now you are being stupid. Bitcoin is a force that can survive governments, colossal corporate empires and the mainstream media. Only a complete and utter fool would think even a thousand Bitcoin scams could slow Bitcoin down one bit. During this price rise we have had thousands of Bitcoin stolen from a dozen sites, an assassination site has formed and Bitcoin still continues on.

Crumbs; if you really think ActiveMining and a million others like it can change the course of Bitcoin you are the stupidest idiot here. Please don't admit that is why you continue to troll this thread, what a waste of time.

Drawingthesun:
While lecturing me on bitcoin, keep in mind that i have it, while you gave yours away to an American alcoholic.
While calling me stupid, it pays to remember that it was you who gambled away your retirement fund, not i.
Minor details like that are important Smiley

Again why are you here? This has nothing to do with saving Bitcoin.

Also I invested in a venture that I thought was a good buy, it may be a mistake but who knows. It was worth a lot less before the Bitcoin price rise.

And this is a learning experience for me, if it works and gives me a retirement all the best but if not I shall continue on and figure out other ways to make money.

I'll give you a plus 1 for effort Crumbs, don't you have family to be with for christmas instead of spending every waking hour on this thread "saving the newbies"/"gloating"?

I peak at this thread several times day to see if CT is live, but most the time the last post is by you.

Drawingthesun:

Yes, i have seen your post, but ignored it because it was answered too many times already.  Making allowances for your poor memory and retention, but you're becoming a bother.  Please try to remember:

1.  I am not "saving newbies," i'm saving my bitcoin from getting shat up by scam and failure like Active Mining.
2.  This takes no effort at all, telling the truth is pleasant and easy.  I have fun while cleaning up my bitcoin.
3.  If you gave as much thought to your investings as you do to my personal life, you wouldn't be broke now, would you?

I would like to thank all the Active Miners for contributing to this an cerebral debate.

1 - You have no Bitcoin invested here, so how exactly are you saving your bitcoin? My friend has never heard of ActiveMining but does not feel the need to post here to save his coin.
2 - Dude you are on this thread a lot, more so than most of the investors who actually have money on the line. This is a lot of effort to save bitcoin that has already been saved.....
3 - I wrote one sentence about your personal life, that's not a large amount of thought, at least not for me.

I was under the impression an Executive has to give 48 hours notice before making a trade. So Ken's only mistake was trading in secret, as it's not outright illegal.

Ken is selling unregistered securities to US persons -- a far graver transgression than insider trading.

We're all taking a risk and so that is even more motivation to succeed.
Go draw portals.

Just remember Crumbs probably wants us to fail just so he can gloat and laugh at us.
1711  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: December 20, 2013, 01:32:27 PM
lol, no. ^ even if this were registered securities where did the hell do you get this stuff

I just had a quick look through some legal documents and you seem to be right, I remember having a solid reference for this last time the discussion came up but I can't find it.

Anyway stslimited, Ken bought in at 0.004, not really indicative of insider trading is it?

...
why did he even admit to trading his own stock, was that a serious lack in judgement ?...

Alcoholism.

Well good thing all the exchanges he did it on have shut down. Prosecutors wouldn't be able to get proof of it

This forum is an amazing paper trail.  If this never gets prosecuted, it's not for lack of evidence.

Remember folks, if you hold shares in ActM and Ken gets prosecuted, we have 0.

Of course Crumbs wants Ken to fail, because then we all fail and he would have been right.
1713  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: December 20, 2013, 01:12:09 PM
If Ken is smart he won't release the news until trading is live.  He has been known for insider trading.  He will buy up shares first (probably with avalon refunds) and then release the news/pictures and dump back his shares after he pumps the shit out of them  So this is another reason why we need to get trading.

why did he even admit to trading his own stock, was that a serious lack in judgement ? I remember reading that, it did not surprise me but it surprised me that he said that

he is in the USA for pete's sake! practically the only country that prosecutes insider trading, and gives the longest sentences known to man for it!

I was under the impression an Executive has to give 48 hours notice before making a trade. So Ken's only mistake was trading in secret, as it's not outright illegal.
1714  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: December 15, 2013, 03:37:32 AM
The real kicker?  If Ken wants to maintain a certain percentage, he's going to literally need to double ACTM's hash rate every month at the current increase rate.

The time it takes to turn mined bitcoin into eASIC chips is very important here, but we have no idea about this one so nothing can be determined. The next important variable is the Bitcoin price. If the price keeps increasing it might be easier for Ken to order more chips, increase the amount of employee's building those chips etc...

But again those two most important variables are unknown to us and Ken only knows one of them, so the math really becomes a bitch fest because nothing solid can be determined. That is why I made my thread, it's small and light because we do not have much to go on, and this thread is constant rubbish.

All the math is shit too because everyone here is making so many fracking assumptions and everyone comes up with a share prices of either 0.000001 or 0.1 bitcoin/amc. This place is tiring because all of you simply argue back and forth with the same little information and giant bunch of wild assumptions.

I feel stupid reading this thread.
1715  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: December 15, 2013, 02:43:01 AM
By the way I think actm share price will hit 0.01 within a week of us going live. And it will climb steadily until March where it will level off around 0.04
I think you are dreaming. The share price will likely stay below .0025 until we have some proof of miners shipping, or an announcement that we're adding 24.576TH/s of hash power with BTCGuild showing as much. Even then I think we will only get to about .005 and maybe .01 by March.

Catch me up, please.  How many millions of shares are the dividends divided over now?

How many satoshis a week would each share get with 24 Th/s of mining capacity?

This is all easily obtained publicly available information.

Since it's so easy, why don't you go ahead and answer the questions?

Since nobody bothered to answer I will.

If the network hash rate was at a constant 10 Ph/s and ActM had a constant 24 Th/s, it would have 0.24% of the network hash rate, mining 120.96 BTC per round. The round would last 14 days, since the hash rates were constant, giving 8.64 BTC per day. This would be distributed to 10 million shares until 0.0025 BTC per share had been paid, after which the number of shares would increase to 25 million.

According to the genesis block, the network hash rate is increasing by about 78% every 30 days, which is an increase of about 2.5% each day.

So, if the network hash rate was at 10 Ph/s and ActM brought 24 Th/s online, 8.64 BTC / 10 million shares gives 86 Satoshis per share per day, which would fall by 2.5% each day!  Cry

Thank you.

Math is a bitch sometimes.

Why is the network increasing at 78% and we are stuck at 24TH?

If we get to 24TH doesn't that mean we are able to continue to scale?
1716  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread [Self-Moderated] on: December 12, 2013, 04:08:17 PM
VMC - discussion: on.

Guys, should ken open a amazon store?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=bitcoin%20miner&sprefix=bitcoin+%2Caps&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3Abitcoin%20miner

BFL is selling there, so is ASICMiner eruptors.

This sure would bring more traffic to virtualminingcorp.com and make VMC more legitimate.

Not to sound negative, but if we set up a store and don't actually ship any product they will come down hard. Amazon is a monster in business, very good but also they will crush people that take the piss.

Wait until we can claim our eASIC product has been shipped and then open the store and allow for orders.

1718  Economy / Securities / Re: Come February 1, 2014 we will all be rich on: December 10, 2013, 02:11:05 PM
Come February 1, 2014, surely there will be a viable exchange up an running, and ActM stock will be traded freely and the price per share will be at a healthy 0.007.

I really expect being able to trade my shares within a few days, not months.

0.007? I sure hope so!

And, on Febraru 1, 2014, ActM will be mining zillions of Terra-berra-hashes on its own mining hardware and the dividends will be flowing like mixed drinks at a Wall Street investment firm's holiday party in the 1980s.

Therefore, on February 1, 2014, anyone who owns just a measly minnow's share of 10,000 shares of ActM will be able to sell their shares for $70,000

Do you own just 10K shares of ActM? Then on February 1, of 2014 you will be worth $70,000 USD more than you are worth now.

Imagine you have 50,000 shares of ActM.  on February 1, 2014 you will be worth $350,000 US.  WHAT could you do with THAT much money? Just imagine the frenzy, the fun, the relief fro the stress of credit card debt, nagging bills, and all that financial distress, come February 1, 2014.

I would advise creating a bitbet to prove your confidence and inspire us all...

Create a bitbet of 0.007 by february 1st, I am interested in the feel for that price and if you're right you would make even more money.

Also Green? really?

Any news on the CryptoTrade front?

No news yet - Ken implied it would take him at least until the end of the week coding the share transfer authorisation feature/site

Cheers, it would be nice to get an update about how the system is going.
