1721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I use Bitcoin ??? on: April 22, 2016, 01:06:19 AM
Hyperinflation and hyperdeflation. Bitcoin is based on gold, and it's steady and decreasing supply. But even gold jumps when miners find there's alot less gold to find. Bitcoin has a steady decreasing stream.
1722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tell me why Satoshi Nakamoto didn't spend a Satoshi from his 1 Mio BTC on: April 22, 2016, 01:02:58 AM
Can't we do a full blockchain analysis of bitcoin wallets that total to 100k+ BTC that haven't moved in the last 7+ years? How do we even how satoshi has 1 million BTC?
1723  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin reaches 20-month high as classic-coup dies on: April 22, 2016, 12:58:24 AM
Honestly doesn't feel like 19 months. It feels like just yesterday bitcoin fell from $600..

Screw XT. Core is love, Core is life.
1724  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin debit card (0% loading fee) + Giveaway on: April 21, 2016, 12:46:34 PM
Still giving free virtual debit cards.

can i get one ?

confirmed i just received the voucher code

thanks
you are welcome

I have a doubt.
The virtual card will be accepted into paypal?
Yes. I have used mine to verify my PayPal account and to make purchases on steam. It has made spending with bitcoin so much easier.
1725  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [Automated] [No ID] xBTC.co - Buying and Selling Bitcoins via Paypal on: April 21, 2016, 12:33:58 PM
I doubt that this actually can work since paypal can have chargebacks from date of transaction to 180 days from then.
If the above member actually did this he has the risk of losing his money from paypal if the other party of the exchange initiates a chargeback.

I hope that this won't happen. It's a great service.

There's a high chance that this will happen. What are your "algorithms"? Is that another word for "We-block-you-if-youre-not-verified"?

PayPal dislikes bitcoin, and so they will probably side with the scammer.
1726  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Which wallet are you using? on: April 18, 2016, 05:19:27 AM
I use a Ledger wallet. It opens through a chrome app which is super fast and can be downloaded on a jiffy if you don't have it already. The wallet itself is like a Trezor, air-gapped, which is the best convenient alternative to a cold wallet.
1727  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I'm looking to make a competition for the design of my steam avatar. on: April 18, 2016, 04:10:50 AM
If you can consider some rules from below.Just my two cents .

• Any member above Jr Member rank can participate (losers make multiple entries with newbie accounts, maybe you can only allow Member+)

•Since its a small bounty, keep only 1 winner for 0.05 or split it among the best two, one gets 0.03 ,other gets 0.02.

•Allow only original designs ,not ripping media from anywhere on the internet.

•Allow only 2-3 maximum entries by each member so they can bring the best out in less time.

•All entries from particular member must be included in a single post.Keeps the thread organised.

•Escrow the payment.

Thanks. Do you think my pay of 0.05 BTC is sufficient, or should I increase it? Or even if it's too high, should I decrease it?

How long should a competition like this last?
1728  Economy / Services / MOVED: I'm looking to make a competition for the design of my steam avatar. on: April 17, 2016, 11:02:34 AM
Hey guys, I've ordered many avatars for my Steam account around the forum, but I'm still not happy with those that I've gotten. I'm thinking of making a competition for my avatar, so what should my prizes be? I have a budget of a maximum (I really don't want to go all the way up here) 0.05BTC. What would be the most cost-efficient setup for me, but also a good incentive for the entrants?

Things I need discussed:

  • Prize amount
  • Prizes (1 winner, 3 winners. etc)
  • Anything else that will contribute towards a better competition and outcome for me

Thanks in advance for all your help guys. Smiley

Jeesus. Could you make me an avatar with the same style of yours? I like that cartoony look. Please PM me if you can do this. I don't know if you're still doing this, with all the arguments above.
1731  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do we need ebay like site to promote bitcoin on: April 17, 2016, 03:55:54 AM
Openbazaar boiiiis!

*That moment when eBay goes bankrupt because of the inevitable success of bitcoin and OpenBazaar*

Told you so.
1732  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin Exchange script on: April 17, 2016, 03:46:32 AM
Do people actually set these up once a day and feel safe leaving it or do you need to keep a closer eye on things?

What do you mean "set these up once a day"?

These scripts are usually "set and forget", until a problem arises with a transaction, your hosting provider or a complaint.
1733  Economy / Digital goods / Re: ~~~~~ [WTB] X-COM 2 STEAM (MUST BE TRUSTED/TRADABLE) ~~~~~ on: April 16, 2016, 11:39:50 AM
Quartx, consider those two posts a free quarter for you.

I'm closing this thread. I have found that G2A has sellers for XCOM for $33 USD. I might as well buy from there.
1734  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] Steam Keys for Bitcoin on: April 16, 2016, 11:29:12 AM
Are you interested in selling a copy of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive? If you could beat the regular bitcointalk retail price of $6, that would probably make you one of the most favourable steam sellers Smiley
1735  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS] CSGO GIFT - 5$ on: April 16, 2016, 09:58:32 AM
I can buy it. Please add me at the steam profile I PMed you with. Please tell me when you purchased it though. That will be a great help to all of us.
1736  Economy / Digital goods / Re: SELL Counter-Strike Complete Steam Gift (12$ BITCOIN) on: April 16, 2016, 09:57:10 AM
You can easily get copies of these for about $10. How can we trust you? Is the steam game tradable (30 days old)?

I can do this for $9 if you want, please PM me.
1737  Economy / Digital goods / Re: [WTS][Vouched] Steam games with discount - 1 positive feedback on: April 16, 2016, 09:55:17 AM
How much for X-COM 2? I can buy it if you're willing to buy it and wait 30 days for it to be tradable. I know that your negative rep isn't for scamming, but either way I want to be careful. State your price, anyhow.

I can sell you the X-COM 2 for 36€,it will be global cd-key.
Steam price 49.99€ or ~55$

Pm me or reply here if you are interested.

Sorry, a bit too overpriced for me. I can get a copy from a trusted seller at G2A.com for about $33 USD. Thanks for your time mate, though.

1739  Economy / Digital goods / Re: ~~~~~ [WTB] X-COM 2 STEAM (MUST BE TRUSTED/TRADABLE) ~~~~~ on: April 16, 2016, 08:23:33 AM
Hey guys, i'd like to buy X-COM 2 for a friend/relative of mine. I'm looking for a price of somewhere between $25-35, because it's easily $40-50 during a sale and bitcoin is almost always called higher than virtual cash that cannot be 100% liquefied.

I will only trade you if you fulfill at least one of these criteria:
- You are trusted on this forum
- Your game copy is tradable
- Your in-game inventory is worth alot (More than mine, $500)
- If you are trusted on SteamRep
- If you have a Steam level which costed more than what the game I want costs (I think it's around level 50 if I'm correct)

PM for my steam profile.

-You are trusted on this forum

Trust no one, always use escrow

- Your in-game inventory is worth alot (More than mine, $500)

In game inventory worth is not a good counter of trustworthiness
(Get 100 games worth $1000 from bundles, actual paid less than $100)

- If you have a Steam level which costed more than what the game I want costs (I think it's around level 50 if I'm correct)
Steam level is just another epeen, no use to see levels

As you are dealing with trades outside of the steam inbuild trade system, your requirements linked to steam are all pretty much useless even if fulfilled.

Steam games like XCOM2 may be region locked, it would be helpful to name your region.

Lowest xcom 2 has been in NA region steam is $40+-

I do not think you would find anyone offering lower than USD$32, unless it is a russian copy (which you might not be able to add to your game list as region lock), finally, find someone to escrow

- In game inventory worth is not a good counter of trustworthiness
(Get 100 games worth $1000 from bundles, actual paid less than $100)

Inventory, not games. As in, CSGO skins, knives, TF2 unusuals, DOTA items?

- Steam level is just another epeen, no use to see levels

If you paid to get those levels, you can get -ved on steamrep, totally nulling any value of your account and getting rid of all the money you spent into levelling up

- Trust no one, always use escrow

Did I base my trust on DT? If I trust someone, I will act accordingly

Please stop flaming my thread. I want to look for the best offer, I don't care if the price isn't within my stated range.
