that leaves 5 unpaid.

john is, as i've said, going to submit the order immediately upon getting the info from friedcat. we are all set to go.

i've also picked up another hub so i can test 21 of these at a time. better then the 5 i was at... and of course, when i say test, i mean plug it in, run it for 1 share, then pack it.

In that case you might also want to look at the speculation and alt-currency boards.

Thanks, I might do so!

BTW, why do you have a photo of me as your avatar?

Lol, do we look alike? Because that's me.
(or maybe is this some sort of joke? mmmh...)

No, that was my cousin's wedding in 2009.

well this isn't creepy at all.
1723  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 11, 2013, 02:30:29 PM
come on man. pay up or cancel.

give me an hour )

yay!
1724  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 11, 2013, 02:21:38 PM
6 guys i've not heard word 1 from. Sad

rant2112, chanberg and blacklilac have been in touch and should be paying.

john is ready to send it to friedcat asap. friedcat has said it's ok to add extra orders before shipping, so we'll place the order and if we get further payment, so be it. but, aside from those who've spoken up, i doubt it'll happen. ...sucks to be them?

tl;dr: submitting the order at john's first opportunity. we're a go.

and apparently yareg.com too...

Guys, don't you think the device looks suspicious? Why heat dissipator is attached to the other side, not to a chip? Make me believe this is no a scam )

oh for fucks sake. ASICMINER uses QFN packages for their chips. there's a metal plate on the bottom of them, and they dissipate heat into the pcb and through openings in it to the other side. avalon is the same way. and, as explained in the AM thread, they run fine WITHOUT the heatsink, but there's risk of burning your fingers.

come on man. pay up or cancel.
1725  Economy / Auctions / Re: ASICMINER Fixed-Price Auction: 50 Block Erupter Blades on: May 11, 2013, 08:07:55 AM
*snip*

I don't have 50BTC ... I don't even have 10BTC Tongue
Though, according to DHL I should have an asicminer USB some time soon - it made it to Hong Kong on Friday.

oooo. i look forward to a review. ...you'll do one right? ...at least tell us how to run the thing? please? *not begging*
1726  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: May 11, 2013, 06:51:53 AM
Reward halving is still quite a way off but miners will have to be ready for it. I expect transaction fees will be much more significant then, but it's really crystal ball gazing at the moment. They'd have to pick up a lot to compensate from where they are today (about 1% of the reward).

Surely Bitcoin will either be dust (unlikely) or ready for prime-time by 2017? Tx fees at 16x seems too modest, that's only 100% annual growth.

2016 you mean. ...isn't it?

Finally, ChartBuddy, it's just you and me. It's not too often we can get together like this and just catch up. I've been meaning to ask, are those new glasses?

oh do shut up. (i kid, i kid. Cheesy)

so, you guys are of course familiar with the whole gyft thing?

yea, i tried to download the android app - but it wouldn't let me. my phone (galaxy s 1. yes. one.) isn't compatible. ARGH.
1728  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 11, 2013, 04:39:22 AM
Any word yet from friedcat about getting this order submitted ?

I didnt realize I had to sign my address in the email. How do I do that? I only use blockchain.info.

you're fine, don't worry about it.
1732  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 11, 2013, 02:07:29 AM
...ow.
1733  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 11, 2013, 02:00:17 AM
was harder to instantly get BTC than I thought.  took longer than I had expected.

i know that feel... my brother wants to get 1000 avalon chips/boards... when i tried to think what'd it'd take to get the fist converted to btc effciently, my heart dropped into my stomach.

Ya,  I've been to CVS with $503.95 2 days in a row now.  Stupid limits.

Lesson learned.  Do not spend 100% of your BTC.

i know that feel. last summer? i hadn't spent any. had like 22 btc saved up. 150 USD worth or something like that. mined all of it. then due to life circumstances (jobloss) and being an addict, i spent em on games and food and things. now? oh god. so... much... money... *cries*

as to being a bot: all your base are belong to us.
1734  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 11, 2013, 01:56:22 AM
one more straggler just paid.  me.
What?? How'd that happen? lol.
There's only 12 people that haven't been marked paid on the spreadsheet yet.  Must be one of them right?

i had marked him as paid before he posted that by about five minutes or so. Cheesy

one more straggler just paid.  me.

yup. gotcha.

of those remaining, i've heard from two of them. i expect both to pay tonight or in the AM at the latest. the other i doubt i'll hear from. Sad oh well. makes my life easier at this point, eh? Cheesy
1737  Economy / Securities / Re: ASICMINER: Entering the Future of ASIC Mining by Inventing It on: May 11, 2013, 01:29:52 AM

Hi guys, just wondering how the dividends pay out works. Do we get an email when it happens and does it just land in our trade account address? (I'm with BTC TC)

just drops in the account i believe.
1738  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 10, 2013, 11:22:50 PM
I hear you.  But if someone doesn't pay up.. I'd be happy to take their spot (for 2). Smiley

M

If somebody doesn't pay up, their spot disappears.  We already have the minimum in escrow.  Canary will be VERY happy to include you in the other group buy.

Cutoff for payment is less than 7 days now right?  We down to what?  Six?  Do we have a counter or something?  I like counters.

Timer removed. End time: 2013-05-13+00:00:00
there ya go, timer for midnight.  Get those monies in!

i dont really know when the deadline is but just everyone hurry up lol

Is this timer correct for when the order will be placed?

Naelr

oh, uh, no. totally not my timer at all. though it WILL be daytime in china then, so who knows. if john and i hear from friedcat and go ahead, i will probably send out one last ditch effort ot contact people, giving them 6 hours to reply and then cancel any unpaid orders.
1739  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 10, 2013, 10:58:14 PM
Is there any way I can still get in on this order??

as i said in PM, nope. sorry.
1740  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: ASICMiner Block Erupter USB group buy (US/Canada) on: May 10, 2013, 10:53:54 PM
correct, we are just waiting to hear. but while we wait, i'll not cut off anyone. no point. 14 people i've not heard from. Sad

Thx for the update.  Seem fair and will hurt no-one.  Particularly if you try to ship in rough order of those who put their money on the table.

I would vote that when you get a chance to make the deal with ~friedcat, you just take the existing pot and lock things.  Those who were asleep at the wheel...or just flakey...will just have to suck on it.

hey, i've pm'd em twice. if they haven't even REPLIED... i mean, yea. hard to feel bad.

as to who's paid and such: the spreadsheet remains up to date.
