1761  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Skrill Mastercard on: April 20, 2015, 05:09:07 AM
Charge backs with skrill are possible, its harder than paypal but its possible. Verify your account before starting the heavy trades.
To receive funds, people just send to your email and you have to accept them via skrill website.

Yeah, just read this on their help page:

So I guess a scammer just send skrill funds and then go claims that his account was compromised andthe funds were sent by a hacker or something and receives it back?

Guess I just have to keep on looking until I find a safe payment processor with no charge-back policy.

Skrill is kinda like PayPal in this regard though chargebacks are harder to do and less common. If you use skrill often especially on here you probably get burnt by someone eventually unfortunately.

Yeah this is what I am afraid of but I'll try it with people who have had successful trades and see how it goes.

Are you wanting it to sell your bitcoins for skrill money? If so there are bitcoin debit cards where you can top them up directly with your coins and then get the cash out or spend on the card. Bit-x has just released one where you can spend your funds kept on the exchange and if you join their signature campaign apparently you get a free card and the can spend your own signature earnings.

I know there are some people on the board who offer debit cards which can be re-filled using BTC but I can't get myself to trust them. Will look into Bit-x cards but I heard one has to verify his phone number to make an account at Bit-x and I don't want to give away my anonymity.

1762  Other / Meta / Re: Spams are high in "Beginners & Help" sub-board! Please resolve. on: April 19, 2015, 11:38:34 AM
I think these 'rules' may be implemented now, why should we wait for the upcoming signature campaigns?

I think one day (maybe also in this year) all the signature campaign will be banned, I think this is the unique way to stop those users (because if they are not paid for do that , then I am sure they will stop to open those useless thread).

Actually you're right, these should be implemented immediately, let's see then how many people really wanna discuss the world affairs or forum when they're not getting paid for it.

Posts in the 'Meta' board do not count. (Seriously, no company would prefer to advertise in Meta Board)

Posts in the 'Politics & Society' board do not count. (This has turned into another off-topic board, a news on any topic is posted which is not related to Bitcoin at all and people just keep arguing trying to prove their views)

1763  Other / Meta / Re: Spams are high in "Beginners & Help" sub-board! Please resolve. on: April 19, 2015, 11:18:44 AM
For upcoming signature campaign, I think will be :

Qualifying Posts:
Must be made with the appropriate signature.
Must be constructive to the topic.
Investor-based games sub-board does not count.
Non-English posts will not count.
Posts in this thread does not count.
Posts in the off-topic board do not count.
Posts in Beginners & Help do not count.  Undecided
Posts in other signature campaigns do not count.

That's not a bad idea actually, I think a few more should be added to that list.

1764  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Skrill Mastercard on: April 19, 2015, 08:37:52 AM
I use it for a long time and had no problems, ever. Recommendations.

I did set up an account, I'll try it with small amounts to see how it goes. So far they haven't asked me for any verifications but I think they will if and when I try to withdraw the money from there.

Has anyone ordered their Mastercard? Does it work?
1765  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Your account is temporarily blocked - OKPAY on: April 19, 2015, 08:33:18 AM
isn't better to store your balance in your bank account/debit card? or keep them in bitcoin, so you don't have to handle  all these hassles

i don't trust anymore all those paypal clone, like okpay/payza ecc....

That's correct, I looked into many of them recently and when you read their help pages and FAQs you'll see there are loop-holes which can be abused to take advantage of user's funds. And they can close an account if they suspect that it is being used to launder money and freeze the funds which is what I think happened with OP's account.
1766  Economy / Services / Re: DaDice Social Media Campaign on: April 19, 2015, 08:03:54 AM
@Campaign Manager: If you're having trouble counting tweets from the Hashtag on twitter, take a look at this : https://tweetdeck.twitter.com/ I think it will make your job a lot easier.  Cheesy

I have already started tweeting for this week, I hope you're able to complete the counting for past weeks and finish the payment today and get on to counting this week's tweets.  Smiley

1768  Other / Meta / Re: Report Post Accuracy? on: April 18, 2015, 06:57:45 PM

I am just speculating but here's what I think will happen. If you report too many posts which didn't had anything wrong with them, then after sometime mods won't pay attention to your reports.

AFAIU they don't ignore reports like you are speculating.

Well maybe not at first but if you keep reporting posts which don't need to be reported at all and/or if they suspect that one is simply trolling then they might stop paying attention to them or simply ban them or take away their reporting rights (if there is such a thing).

That would be bad moderation imo. Reporting posts that are doesn't need to be reported will likely lessen your accuracy on reporting. Also, I don't see how "trolling" could actually help the discussion in any way; you can report those troll posts if you think that it is an off-topic reply or doesn't have something to do with the OP or any posts within that thread. And afaik in this forum, there is no such thing as removing the report privilege everyone has because it is one way of helping the mods on removing insubstantial posts and/or replies.

No I didn't say anything about reporting troll posts, I would leave that for the moderator's discretion unless someone is really off-topic, I was talking about Report Post Trolling and I meant if someone is reporting just for the sake of trolling then they might get banned or have their reporting privileges taken away.

Well maybe not at first but if you keep reporting posts which don't need to be reported at all and/or if they suspect that one is simply trolling then they might stop paying attention to them or simply ban them or take away their reporting rights (if there is such a thing).

A reply from the MOD:

Also, what if half the number of my reports are "BAD", will the MODs start disregarding my future reports?

No. It might effect your chances of ever becoming a mod if your accuracy isn't very good though (if that is something you would be interested in).

But may be if a person does report 100-1000 posts which are all BAD, their reports may be excluded although I don't feel the MOD will do that as it's their job to check reports. Also, I don't think anyone would waste their time reporting so many posts which are unnecessary. It's an extreme case.

Trolls have all the time in the world but that's not what I meant. I meant if one is abusing the report post feature with nonsense then their reports might not get handled and in the end they might get banned.
1769  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How is BitMixer.io? Successful service or no go poll! | Stats for us all on: April 18, 2015, 06:44:39 PM
The thing about Coin Mixers in general is, you're sending coins to an unknown third party and you can never truly know whether you'll get your coins back or not. All the exchanges which were hacked or pretended to be hacked and stole coins were once 'trusted'.

You can't but if something like this was happening, you would have many scam accusations thread already on it. In that respect, I have never heard anything negative about bitmixer

I never said that I heard or saw anything negative about them. And SO FAR they have proven to be a very legit service but you really can't predict when something would go wrong which is why I advised OP to Mix his coins in small quantities.

When it comes to Bitcoin one should always practice safety and don't go blind trusting anyone.

I have used Bitmixer.io twice and one time the coins were a little late in coming to my address and it almost gave me an heart attack but they did appear in my address shortly. I think they are safe but just be cautious and don't mix too many coins at once (do it in small quantities).

Can somebody tell me that will something happened if my Report accuracy decreases to ZERO. Because I reported 8 posts and my accuracy is at 80% 7 are right, and 1 is wrong?

1773  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I want to share on: April 18, 2015, 06:38:46 AM
Is it not curable? If you have so much money just cash all those coins out and do whatever you can. Hope you get well soon. TC
1774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do we assume that Satoshi cashing out his coins would be noticeable? on: April 18, 2015, 06:34:34 AM
Satoshi can cash out his lesser known addresses without us noticing. As long as he doesn't cash out all his coins in a short period of time, then it's ok by me. They are his money, he has every right to do that.

So you think that he has other addresses that he mined coins to that we/others don't know about? Is that possible, if it is then you might be right.
1775  Other / Off-topic / Re: Why are so many people mean here?! lol on: April 18, 2015, 06:26:59 AM
People who knows too much dont like people who are just goofing around so whenever they see some "WEAK" post they jump on it and make you look bad. But that doesn't mean that they are jerking you around, it means you should keep learning your stuff... Cheesy

True. But there are people on this forum who are WISE and they're helpful and kind and they try to help the person who is not too knowledgeable in a nice way.

Than there are people who are WISE ASS and they're just too proud of their knowledge and feel everybody else is inferior to them.

But then again there also some trolls who just make stupid posts for no reason and they deserved to get bashed in the head.

@OP: If you find someone who is mean to you, just use the "Ignore" feature and his posts won't be visible to you.

Any relations of your site with AllCrypt.com ?

Sorry if it isn't, I just saw your thread in the lobby and it kinda reminded me of that.  Cheesy

From a distance they do sometimes look like a smiley. But if you zoom in you'll see that they're just gold coins.
1778  Other / Meta / Re: Report Post Accuracy? on: April 18, 2015, 05:47:25 AM
Accuracry is calculated in percentages, and if you have a lot of posts reported, its possible that percentage wont increase enough for it to be visible.
From what i see, post report can also be neutral, when there is somewhat valid report, but not enough to have it removed.
It is possible that mod didnt feel like your reported post is bad enough to have it removed, but later on has received another report from others, so he in the end removed it anyways.
imho, i dont think you should trouble yourself with percentages, you should report whatever you feel is wrong, and if staff doesnt feel the same way, well boo-hoo, atleast you tried and gave your opinion.

cheers

That's a good advice right there. Thanks

Thanks to others for trying to make it clear to me how it is calculated. I think I have an idea now but I am gonna follow the above advice and not be too concerned about it. If I see something which I find to be wrong or illegal or against the forum rules, I'll continue reporting it, if my percentage increases, great! If it doesn't, no worries! Smiley
1779  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Can the President Kill Americans? on: April 18, 2015, 05:36:29 AM

It's easy for us to sit safely in our secluded homes and judge but when you face similar situations you'll then know that keeping a nation safe is difficult and harsh decisions have to be taken and sacrifices has to be made.

Shit sociopaths say

Thank you.

La-Z-Boy recliners are sure comfy.

The president isn't doing it for personal gain. True. And things like this didn't start with him or recently. But the Americans killed weren't an immediate danger to the country. And neither were any of the others killed. They weren't even near a war zone. So safety of the country wasn't why they were killed. Why not just capture them and bring them to trial instead? Were they afraid to lose the cases?

There are things that you and I don't know but governments do. Not talking any sides, not saying that killing innocent* people is justified but sometimes Nations are required to take actions which are necessary to keep others safe.
1780  Other / Meta / Report Post Accuracy? on: April 17, 2015, 06:55:08 AM
If I reported a post which was against the forum rules and it gets removed, I should get an increase in my Report post accuracy, should I not?

But I don't see it happening every-time. I report a post and check whether it was removed or not and when it does, I check my accuracy but it does not gets increased every-time? Huh

It happened just now, reported a post, it got removed, no increase in accuracy?
