My dear fillippone, as promised, I delivered Smiley Again, I am sorry for the big delay.
Just saw you translated version of @fillippone's post of securing seed washers and it seems impressive to me although i don't understand the language but from the visual perspective it looks you have done a great job as this one was quite detailed one thread and that's why it might have delayed you but as the original author quoted:

long to translate, we are not in a rush. I do prefer quality of the translation, rather than quickness!
Take your time, do everything properly!

Have once done freelance job of translating one or two articles outside the forum and know it takes time and efforts to do the proper translation. So keep it up and you might get new topic soon from our bitcoin geek @fillippone Grin

1763  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: May 16, 2022, 12:07:02 PM

Marketing indeed plays a big role in the success of the gambling business and  Roobet also know this as they always come up with different competition and contest in the best interest of the company and the gamblers. Roobet is leading the way in marketing and other casino can also follow them.

Many casino put in a lot of effort and money to market their website but they all have their own focus. Roobet does marketing in the form of art contests on this forum (and other competitions on the site), while other casino do more marketing on Twitter with giveaways, ... I need to admit that I miss that the competitions that Roobet was doing on this forum in the form of "guess the correct slot" or "guess the right wager".
I also miss these contests (guess the slot and guess the total wagers), its fun and easy to join. I wonder why they stop it, I hope they resume these contests because it is one of those I always follow. Anyway, Roobet is really good when it comes to marketing, thats why the result is undeniably positive for their casino.
Yeah have not seen from long time as guessing the total wagers in 24 hours was fun to participate with some small yet good rewards to the winners and boosted win if you have guessed it very close or exact. But still enjoying the current round of promotions from the team and hope they come back with it again.
1764  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Another signal why to avoid CEX.... on: May 16, 2022, 11:52:19 AM
So far Binance is the main CEX that I trusted because of their capabilities like reserve funds, etc. Plus, I have enabled multiple layers of securing my account in which the hacker will find it impossible to compromise my account. Back then, someone did tried to attempt in accessing my Binance account, so I just enabled a very strong password, 2FA and Google Authenticator. Recently, they've also added biometric feature.
What security will you expect if the Binance is hacked or they start more conventional way of KYC and ask for further documentation from your side restricting you of withdrawal? The funds on CEX are not safe at all and the only thing is big exchange like Binance has huge customer base and you can expect some legitimacy from them but there's no guarantee and you can check for hacks to have an idea about the same.So your wish but avoid keeping coins over these exchanges.

So basically "Oops, you weren't supposed to notice this, but now that you have, we'll definitely update our terms cause otherwise we might get sued. Pinky promise we won't do that again!"

Also, he says he "believes" funds will be safe, while then immediately admitting that this has never been tested in court. I wonder which of these two things I should base my financial decisions on? Mandatory SEC requirement establishing the literal law, or a tweet saying "wE tHiNk It'S fInE lOl!"

Man, fuck Coinbase.
They have been into privacy breaches from a long time and restricting funds withdrawal without providing any strong basis so what else we can expect from them.

They are doing this for their personal benefits and using people funds as defence sheild in any case they go bankrupt but how is this even the requirements of SEC as if we see in one way those all are creditors not equity holders of the coinbase whose funds can be used as hedge against paying off the debts but if we go the other way they are actual owners of the funds with keys so they will directly deny you of any funds.

Right they are not going to publicise it but when things started to reveal they have one common pharse that it's fine and just a formality for the proper functioning of the company but in reality they are government puppets doing everything on their will providing them with database of customer keeping track over them and denying them of their own funds.

I think we need to start correcting people when they say "Oh, I store my bitcoin on an exchange." Based on the above, the correct response is "You do not own any bitcoin".
You gift them your coins on trust basis and now it's depending on them how they handle it or even return you the favour so be sure before keeping them on CEX and them expecting you own funds is wrong assumption.
1765  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 💜 — XXXtreme Lightning Roulette Tournament 🏆 200 mBTC prize pool on: May 16, 2022, 11:30:55 AM
I am glad you got clarification on that from our support team. We will be having new promos and tournaments, so you'll definitely find something that is not restricted for you Smiley

And of course, you can all share your thoughts and wishes on what kind of tournaments you like or would like to have on Bitcasino. I will forward these to the relevant people and we will make them happen Wink
That's fine as the rule of tournament says if you are not eligible to participate you should not loose hope as look at the positive side also that they are planning to add on new events and tournaments for the people on restricted area.

So share some ideas with them for the same and bitcoin prices at this time has made prediction contest too tough and don't know what to speculate at these times  Grin
1766  Other / Meta / Re: Application to be a Merit source for Bangladesh Thread on: May 16, 2022, 11:19:45 AM
It's been half a year since this application has been pending. I don't think this application will be approved since BitcoinDream Himself is not active enough.
Yeah he is not active much himself as you see it's been 23 days since he was last active on the forum and have not send any merit in past 120 days also while receiving only 2 merits so I think he would not be appointed as merit source by @theymos as there are some additional application also being pending along with him for different boards.

His last post on 22ndApril also tells that Bangladeshi users is seeing downfall in number over the self-moderated thread so he might be getting acquainted with some other works.

You may ask then why I am bumping this thread?
I was going to report some unmerited good posts from my local thread because I believe those posts deserve more merits. But, I realized that merit sources could not read our local posts, so it would be hard to judge posts' quality. I understand if they cannot read, how will they evaluate the posts? Even though LoyceV was looking for some good posts, he could not evaluate them because he could not read them.
Yeah this is the reason why many merit sources are unable to give out merits in local board as they don't understand the native language and can't evaluate the post with this barrier and need for local merit source is present who can help them to rank up with good post.If you think you are good for it you can also apply in Meta with your application but don't know if @theymos plans to add more merit sources at this time or not.

Nice observation and I observed same. But I think there is no problem with that, I said this because I have read where theymos said something about this. I will not quote him because I may not provide exactly his lines but he is of the opinion that it is better to dump 50merits on one quality post than to split the merits to non quality posts for the purpose of fairness or circulation of merits.
Therefore, it could be possible that Review Master made majority of quality posts in the board as merit is supposed to be giving based on post quality not on individuals .
Yeah the merits should be given to deserving members only who has made up some quality posts and you see there are members who give out the full limit of 50 merits at single post only because they find it useful but giving out it to some non-quality shit posters is wrong.
1767  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A question bordering me and need opinions as a newbie on: May 16, 2022, 10:53:01 AM
The two are not mutually exclusive. In other words if you consider bitcoin a currency that doesn't prevent you from seeing it also as an investment. That only thing that is always there is the currency part because without bitcoin being a currency that other utilities it provides don't make much sense anymore.
If you also look at fiat, it also acts as an asset and a currency at the same time.
Exactly this is what we need to understand that you can use it any context but it won't dilute it's originality like you could save it and spend it as currency at the same time like fiat but there is much difference in both of them as it's decentralised and deflationary while the fiat is totally opposite to it.

To explain further like you have $100 with you in legal cash how would you treat it? There are some possible explanations for it like you could spend it on buying stuff and anything you like and for example say you spend $40 on it now this is payment part of fiat for which you use it.

Now you saved $60 in bank account or invested it somewhere on stock market or anywhere you wish to do so for long term this will be your investment usage of the fiat.So you used same $100 for two purpose but it can be used for single one of them also or jointly so they have both the purpose.

Same is the case with bitcoin also like you could spend it as payment with merchant accepting it or through third party software that pays them in fiat directly or you could accumulate bitcoin for long term but the underlying concept of payment processing is main idea for bitcoin but due to high returns many prefer to hold it over the years.
1768  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Digital currency , cashless Society and the place of Religion part 2 on: May 16, 2022, 10:40:43 AM
What are you actually trying to prove with all this by linking up religious matters with bitcoin? This is community where we are discussing some updates and general conversation about the bitcoin and crypto market as whole but what's there with linking up with any religion?

See i won't go further details about what you are trying to convince member here with your content but will say if you understand bitcoin you won't come up with baseless talks of your as this is the only decentralised currency which is not restricted by any border or differentiate on basis of religion.

<snip>
Have you checked out your Robeet account balance? The winning amount is generally credited fast after the winners are announced but still if you haven't received asked others who were on the list like @Masu0728 or you can wait as @Hhampuz might be busy somewhere but one thing is for sure you will receive it.
I checked my account few hours ago. I confirm that I got the reward for the place that I got on the contest.
And, no, it was not credited on the day when winners have been announced. I just asked about it, I have no issues, I know they are very busy people.

Thank you again Roobet and Hhampuz!
Good to know that your rewards have been credited to your account and yes there could be slight delay sometimes in giving out the prizes to the winners but there is surety of getting it as i have said earlier also.So now you must be happy on receiving it.
1771  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: May 14, 2022, 11:51:50 AM
Im not sure why you guys are discussing Luna and ust in a gambling thread but in case you guys didnt know yet, Rollbit has launched the NFT Jackpot/ lottery

In short, its pretty much the same as lottery and winner takes all. Here is the main catch, you can pool in either raw cash or NFT of your own choice and the winner takes it all. This lottery runs every 50 eth blocks and Rollbit will take up to 5% rake depending on the size of the pool
That's interesting way to try our luck and as you could hit that lottery after 50 eth blocks or say around 12-13 minutes time span. The pool amount at that time will be the reward for the person but the fact i like about this one is that you can put your money in and the NFT also so try out this one to see if you are lucky or not  Wink
1772  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Warning! on: May 14, 2022, 11:40:15 AM
There have been substantial rise in these scams where users are promoted with such adds and when they click on it malwares are installed on your system draining out your funds from metamask extension on your device or will ask you to connect the device but you should be extra careful in such cases.

PC wallets my foot 👎, we need to find a way to run crypto wallets offline, this is the only solution I can think of right now, online is making crypto wallet security looks stupid.
Online is risky but you see there are some security protocols that you need to follow in order to remain unaffected. You can't connect to other nodes if you are offline and you need internet to pop up the transaction on the blockchain so how until offline facility is available across the globe what do you plan to do?

Like in the above case you will have to connect your metamask wallet to claim free NFT and all the funds and NFT in your wallet will be gone before you could do anything but you see there is mistake on the user's end like he wanted to have that free NFT showing greed and then also giving access to wallet so what do you expect then?

In case of offline wallet if someone ask you to show your device to them will you do it? So why do we don't accept our mistakes?
1773  Other / Meta / Re: Wall of fame / shame. Shit posts so bad that they are actually funny on: May 14, 2022, 11:24:30 AM
The post seems to have been deleted already, probably not due to its content, but because it was unimportant, off-topic, low-value, and whatnot. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't suggesting he should be banned. He shouldn't be here because of his mental problems that need to be professionally treated. He is obviously triggered by everything and everyone and a community with lenient rules where everyone can say whatever they want to certainly doesn't help him recover.
Yeah the post has been deleted now but you are not wrong as have gone through his post history recently and have found that he is linking everything with some religious sentiments and spreading hate for religion like Indians and assume bitcoin is federal reserve creation like CDBC and link it with jews also so you will see lot of such posts from him which clearly tells how free speech is being used by him :

no, its a goddam fucking tool for the federalreserve to fuck with people. why on earth would it crash thousands of times over the last 5 years unless it was a scam?

bitcon vs the federal reserve is a false dichotomy like catholics vs jews, they are all run by jews to worship jews and take your money.

well bitcoin and the fed are shit, just like all the other false dichotomy fake choices they present you. the only answer is total extermination of all false dichotomy and for good to rule absolute

the federal reserve has total control of bicoin. bitcoin is a cbdc dumbass. they rob people with it and use it as a tool to inflate and deflate right along with stocks. it has become just another tool for the fed to make or destroy money at will. fuck bitcoin it is just a piece of shit kike tool for misery and suffering and taking even more control of earth. until the jews are eliminated from earth there can be no freedom for anyone or anything

He has nothing to do with what's the topic being discussed and he is just giving out his religious biased opinions about which nobody cares at all. This is why we should have demerit implementation also.

It's really funny an user really need to earn merit for doing anything while he can easily buy copper membership to allow him attach an images.
These users are not here to promote any business but only want to earn through some signature campaign accepting some junior members which is why they focus on earning merits and think they can buy it also but end up getting banned on the forum. There are many such examples for them.
1774  Other / Beginners & Help / Another signal why to avoid CEX.... on: May 13, 2022, 12:39:56 PM
This has been said many times and advice given to newbies and other members that never ever keep your funds on Centralised exchange as they have the custody of your funds or in simple words say they have keys to your funds and can easily spend them if they wish to do so or in any other case they turn out to be scam.

Not your keys not your funds is common phrase you might have heard of but still we see huge volumes over these exchanges and people trusting them like they will never cheat them or funds are safe but they have no idea about it.Keeping your funds on exchange have some other problems also which are not unnoticed but still some prefer to keep them over exchanges :

1) Privacy : You should not except any privacy when dealing with CEX at all as your personal information is always at stake and they can always trace you with additional requirements of KYC documentation to withdraw your funds with different levels

2) Freeze your account : They act just like banking system who can restrict you from withdrawing your own funds if sufficient proofs are not submitted and they found something suspicious in it

3) Using third party software for storing information and then it's used as phising scams against user who loose their funds in these scams.

There are many other things which acts as sign that you must take out your funds from these exchange and they are government puppet who will act according to their will giving out then full information and trace their users or providing them information about you.

Re: Coinbase the most anti-Bitcoin organisation. Make #DeleteCoinbase great again

Binance selling data to Russian authorities

But this thread is also created with the same intention of warning you all that you should stay away from these CEX for safety of your funds

Coinbase can take your cryptos in case of bankruptcy

They have their policy that in case of bankruptcy they will take your funds as they are deemed to be your property so how safe you assume yourself? Or being too optimists that this will never happen and your funds are safe there forever?

I don't how many more signals people want to take out their funds from these CEX and have store them on non custodial wallets or HW with backup of their seeds and passphrase on offline places with security.

There are lot of threads explaining these matters on the forum like this one from @o_e_l_e_o explain it in best way :

Why beginners should pay attention to their privacy

If you still are keeping them on these exchanges then regretting afterwards will not have any impact or safeguard your from these problems because you are not taking any responsibility of your funds and privacy so seeking advice later on will not have any impact

Your funds your responsibility so be sure how you keep them Wink
1775  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: May 13, 2022, 12:07:54 PM
Following the trend is great and now the NFT trend is in dump. It is affected by bad design of Terra UST and its algorithm-based stablecoin. It is affected seriously by the successful Soros-style attack. NFT ecosystem will have to wait for the general market to rally together. Bear market is helpful to get rid of scam projects that are too many and abundant in NFT ecosystem.
UST has distributed the whole market with it's faulty algorithm and you see the whole market suffered it's consequences and many people lost money. The exchanges have now delisted LUNA as it has lost it's full value despite being so called stable coin. The NFT market was also hit with 60% downfall and as you said many zero utility projects will be abandoned after this bearish mode and only sound and that have some purpose will survive the heat.
1776  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: May 13, 2022, 11:53:38 AM
All these marketing, which includes bonuses, promotions, contests, and others are essential thing to a running business like Roobet which have unique and really rewarding promotions.
Without marketing you would loose customer base and will never be able to scale up your business so this is essential part for every business. You see Robeet spending huge on bonus and giveaways and the art contest just as an extra reward to the community from which they are earning as by incentivising the motivation increase and more new players are attracted to the casino.

Regarding these things, for the last Roobet Art Contest, am I the only one that has not yet been credited for the winning place?
Have you checked out your Robeet account balance? The winning amount is generally credited fast after the winners are announced but still if you haven't received asked others who were on the list like @Masu0728 or you can wait as @Hhampuz might be busy somewhere but one thing is for sure you will receive it.
1777  Other / Meta / Re: [TOP-200] The most generous users giving merits on: May 13, 2022, 11:36:49 AM
It’s nice to top the chart for once! Also I think that’s a record number (for now)
Thank you Coin-1 for this very well crafted work!
So you are on top list here also so congratulations to you man for being generous and giving out merits at this pace and you will be found on this list most of the time in top 5 according to me.

Don’t worry, he’s loading like a spring and he’ll be back!
Yeah once he's back he will help lot of members to reach the next closet rank with his merits capacity and back on the list..
1778  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: May 12, 2022, 12:56:24 PM
There are promotions/bonuses that give the player an edge for a fact (winz.io is regularly giving them and if you do the maths, you get en edge on the house).
As I said, the goal behind these promotions is to hook new players that will then lose money on the long run.
Right the marketing part is mainly due to attract new players to the casino and retail the current players with lucrative offers and bonuses to them as users always want some rewards for playing and this way of spending is best and good way to approach the gambling industry. The house will take profits because all are not winning and many loose daily with their bets which is why they are surviving in the market.

some people in marketing say that it's cheaper to have a bigger revenue with someone who's already an user than to attract a new user, but since profitability of online casinos is probably quite high better for them to keep focusing on both

expansion and making people come back
You can't always make big profits with the existing players only and you need to attract more and more players from the market which is why they have huge marketing and promotion budget set aside to retain the existing one's and join new players with bonus, giveaways and other things and all casinos do this. They make profits and also do promotion from user's pocket only but at first they have their own way to make name in crypto casinos.
1779  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: May 12, 2022, 12:44:24 PM
I like a casino like this that is very flexible and coping on what's new in the industry such as the NFT and the web 3.0 they are constantly improving and upgrading their gambling site and not only you can place bet but you can also invest through the NFT, the users above me are also right balancing things could be a hard task but if they managed to handle it well they can reach most of the gamblers and investors.
This is growing market and they have to make moves according to the trends like the latest one is for NFT so they jumped into it with providing utility to gamblers and profits with it so they were successful. With time they have created their name in gambling casinos and have done lot of things and will do the same in future also with balancing gambling aspects but if you see leaderboard then whales and small gambler's are wagering good amounts enjoying their bets.
1780  Other / Meta / Re: Is this allowed?? on: May 12, 2022, 12:30:41 PM
While "achow" may not be so much uncommon, I would not expect it so much in.. Bangladesh.
But the 10 after it makes me rule out a coincidence, since neither achow, nor achow1 seem to be taken.
There are enough evidence supporting that he has done it intentionally choosing the name matching to moderator @achow101 to portray himself in reputed way but he has 60 posts of bounty submission which the real one will never do  Grin. They try to involve in such cheap tactics which later made them ban and red flags on the forum at the end.

Uh yeah, no.  There have been cases I've seen where someone's made a username too close to either a reputable senior member or staff, and IIRC those accounts got shut down.  It's been a while since the last time I've seen it happen, but I'm 99.99% sure there's not nothing we or the mods can do, even if the member hasn't scammed anyone.

That name is way too similar to achow101 to be allowed to exist, assuming it's not an alt of his, which it sounds like it isn't.

I'll give the ol' boy a slap of the forum paint myself in a sec.
Yeah there are such cases where these imposters try to cheat but forget they have to participate in bounty campaign only and others will also get with simple usernames also but still they try to be oversmart getting the reward like he has.

I think forum has some restriction where you cannot choose the username from certain keywords like @satoshi as they have been blocked by @theymos to stop any kind of scam on the forum but you see there is probability where you can have matching name with little changes but they are caught so no fun of doing this. Moreover he is cheating in bounty campaign also with alts another violation of rules.
