1781  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who holds the most bitcoins? on: December 21, 2019, 03:00:59 PM
it is amazing. those people have already surpassed the wealth that everyone expects. I don't think they need to work anymore, and just need to reinvest their bitcoin ...
In the real world, even the rich person keeps on doing their work and they keep on earning money. I don't have any idea for the person who has a lot of bitcoin in their wallet or account but based on what I read in here in the forum they think that the founder of bitcoin is Satoshi Nakamoto have millions of bitcoin. But, whoever the person who has the biggest amount of bitcoin he/she is very amazing because we all know everybody wants to have bitcoin.

1784  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Crypto - New Year's Resolution - Win some Bitcoin! on: December 18, 2019, 03:31:40 PM
Hindi ako mahilig magplano ng new year's resolution kasi kadalasan hindi nasusunod hahaha pero syempre iba naman yung sa real life atsaka pag usapang crypto. Ang aking mga new year's resolution for 2020 ay ito:
1. Enhancing my skills and knowledge like how to run and set up nodes
2. Iwas sa pag gastos para sa mga bagay na hindi naman ganun kailangan. Mas kailangan ko mag ipon. (Applicable sya sa crypto and outside din)
3. Don't spend much on gambling and only set limits
4. Be more willing to accept new tasks, jobs, and experience on cryptocurrency
5. And lastly but the most important thing I need to do here in crypto, is to be more active and hard working.

1787  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is the fate of Scammers if bitcoin later becomes a traceable Currency. on: December 14, 2019, 11:04:24 AM
Bitcoin as a currency that is decentralized, they is no Headquarters for Bitcoin and it has no Central office where they distribute information concerning Bitcoin, Like illicit transactions that money was lost but recovered after some investigations through the distributed information.

like someone said on my previous thread that more people will be comfortable using bitcoin if these features comes into place.

Share your thoughts.

Some said that the Bitcoins is traceable now that is new knowledge for me. In my perspective even the source of income is traceable, scammers may have an alternative move to avoid detection because scammers is scammers. But I don't know if that happens or more implemented it can become a feature to avoid future problems.
1788  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Moving on to Other Things on: December 14, 2019, 09:10:50 AM
In the book "Digital Gold: Bitcoin and the Inside Story of the Misfits and Millionaires Trying to Reinvent Money", its author (Nathaniel Popper) quotes a couple of emails sent by Satoshi to other members of the early Bitcoin community. This was apparently right before his disappearance from the forum. Here is the excerpt:

Quote
The author of the Bitcoin software hadn’t posted to the forums since December, but he had continued to e-mail with a select number of developers, including Gavin, Martti, and Mike Hearn, a Google programmer in Switzerland, who got drawn into the project after the WikiLeaks blockade. In late April Hearn politely asked how involved Satoshi intended to be moving forward.

“Are you planning on rejoining the community at some point (e.g. for code reviews), or is your plan to permanently step back from the limelight?” he asked.

I’ve moved on to other things,” Satoshi wrote back. “It’s in good hands with Gavin and everyone.”
[...]
Satoshi’s final e-mails went to Martti, whom Satoshi asked to take full ownership of the Bitcoin.org website.

I’ve moved on to other things and probably won’t be around in the future,” Satoshi wrote to Martti, in early May, before transferring the site to Martti and disappearing into the ether.
[emphasis mine]

I couldn't help noticing that Satoshi announced that "he had moved on to other things" on two different occasions.

What do you think these other things could be? From the context, it sounds these things are unrelated to Bitcoin. Maybe he was working on other projects where programming skills were needed.
This can also be interpreted as Satoshi being more or less satisfied with the development of Bitcoin and confident in its intended future.

I know that this is very speculative and impossible to know with certainty, but I would like to hear your opinion.

I hope everything is okay in his part because of him Bitcoin was invented. I think he is saving more energy in the future because this is a big battle between him and the governments in the terms of money and economy.
1789  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why are the world’s governments not using cryptocurrencies? on: December 14, 2019, 08:29:23 AM
I’ve recently learned the many advantages of cryptocurrencies and how they can revolutionize the way we use money around the world, so why are the world’s governments not adopting them to be used as a form of currency?

There are many advantages of cryptocurrencies that surpass fiat currencies that we used on a day to day basis such as better security due to blockchain technology, cryptocurrencies not really being affected by global financial events as it is a decentralized currency

Why are the governments not adopting cryptocurrencies? Is it a world-wide conspiracy by the elite in order to keep in power? Or is it that the people in charge are rather ignorant of the advantages of cryptocurrencies in order to keep the current system of power?

Because of decentralization of crypto currency. This will make the crypto more private and cannot be controlled by anyone. The taxes and laws that manipulate the income is not welcome here so I think governments are afraid in this type of stuffs.
1790  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why hasn't any altcoin replaced bitcoin? on: December 14, 2019, 05:10:47 AM
I think bitcoin has been one of the biggest innovations of the human in the past years. Many altcoins have been created after bitcoin. But none of  them have been successful as bitcoin is. Why is that?
Why no altcoin can replace bticoin?
Every new thing and every technology is usually replaced by a newer one as the world is always developing.

The first television built was mechanical, then electronic television were invented, then colour televisions, digital, 3D, ....
The first automobiles invented were steam-powered wheeled vehicles, then electric automobiles appeared. Now we have autonomous cars. Now we have Tesla model S. Now we have Lamborghini.
All of us know about the developments made in mobile phones.

Every thing is being developed. Every device is finally replaced by a newer one. Why no altcoin has replaced bitcoin till now? Do you think it will happen in future?
I personally think people will trust what Satoshi has created more than altcoins till many years later.
Altcoins are created to make the developers rich. But bitcoin is different. Bitcoin was created in favor of us. So, no altcoin can be trusted as bitcoin.

What do you think?

I guess this is happen because Bitcoin is more popular to the public because for me this is old and have more security than the others Altcoins. Bitcoins also is trustworthy because of it's number of users so I cannot blame Btc to have this impact in the public
1791  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypt is now legal in Ukraine on: December 14, 2019, 04:17:04 AM
So, guys, I think it's a small but a win. A win of our crypto community! I hope there will be more such examples of accepting crypto in 2020. We will start with small countries and then go to global powers. What do you think?

There's the news https://bitcoinist.com/crypto-payments-now-legal-in-ukraine/

If that is the case then it's the perfect time to accept the crypto currency in the First and Second World to establish the protection for the users. I hope also because of advancement the essence of crypto currency will still exist.
1792  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would it be realistic for the world to run on cryptocurrencies? on: December 13, 2019, 03:02:52 PM
I am just wondering would it be possible in the future for the world to run solely on cryptocurrency? Considering that right now there are many people from different walks of life who are using cryptocurrencies in their day to day life. I think right now one of the main limiting factors for world-wide cryptocurrency usage is the world’s governments who make restrictions on cryptocurrency usage. Moreover, I also think another factor in limiting cryptocurrency usage is a lot of people’s lack of understanding of cryptocurrencies as it is a rather new technology to most people.

I think that we can solve most of these problems by educating people about cryptocurrencies and debunking what the mainstream media have done to slander cryptocurrencies.
I honestly think that if these issues a solved then we will probably have more people to use cryptocurrencies worldwide.

What would do you guys think, I’m just speaking (posting) my thoughts over here. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong. I’ just rather optimistic about the future of cryptocurrency usage in the future.

Yes its possible that we use crypto currency as an alternative for fiat system because this is less hassle and more secured in the terms of transaction but the problem is the people who don't want change because of the comfort zone and government.
1793  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Best ways of bringing Bitcoin to non-crypto users on: December 13, 2019, 02:36:24 AM
I just ordered the Wirex card and hope to get it soon. The idea is to receive crypto (Bitcoin) by doing stuff that I would be doing anyway.

What other ways do you know to receive / earn Bitcoin for everyday stuff outside of the crypto world that could bring Bitcoin and other crypto directly to users for them to spend?

In my case, the concept of Bitcoins was received by my friends using simple tutorial about its basics and after that their movement was based by their own knowledge on how this crypto currency behaves so as a new user I explore more and share all of my thoughts in non-crypto users to encourage them to try this new platform.
1794  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Experience of A Bitcoin User on: December 12, 2019, 03:41:03 PM
This is not really a new scam but not many users are aware of it. On Reddit, it was discussed extensively, please be enlightened  and secure your BTC. https://www.cryptoinfowatch.com/hackers-are-using-clipper-malware-to-steal-bitcoin-from-users/

I hope the new users in this platform especially who involves in Bitcoins must know the fundamentals of crypto currency and how to avoid this kind of scam. This scam is avoidable if the user have a basic knowledge and this knowledge must apply in reality.
1795  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The fight against Bitcoin is coming. Are we ready?! on: December 12, 2019, 07:18:19 AM
Recently Brett Sherman was nominated to chair of Investor Protection, Entrepreneurship and Capital Markets. He will surely have the power to influence bills that can get introduced into Congress. He has been incredibly anti-bitcoin and will surely try to pass bills that will stifle the growth of the industry. Also recently BIS head has been advocating Central Banks begin to use digital currencies for themselves. This will surely play out as a way to out-compete crypto.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2019-12-05/bis-wants-central-banks-at-center-of-digital-cash-revolution

Discussion: How can they community rally together for what is to come? Are we ready for when governments restrict / sanction any capital flow into exchanges? How prepared are we for these things?

I think governments and authorities have no rights to stop the existence of crypto currency because of its users. Many companies and First World Country use the bitcoins and crypto coin to make a transaction so the result governments have a hard time to stop its existence especially in the near future because we are in the digital age now.
1796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: France to launch their own cryptocurrency on: December 12, 2019, 02:30:41 AM
well, it seems like France will also launch their own cryptocurrency next year. it's funny that just year ago they despise cryptocurrency(article about it) and now they are launching their own cryptocurrency
and even teaching high school students about cryptocurrency(article about it) and preparing them for it. how things have changed in just a year Cheesy Cheesy

Yes because of influence of Bitcoins many country and companies take a chance to experience its beauty. All in all Bitcoins and other crypto currency is good for the economy why they decline to do that. Just relax and in the future crypto currency will be more accessible to the public.
1797  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's the most complicated thing about Bitcoin? on: December 12, 2019, 01:41:13 AM
Yes, you are correct. UI is sometimes make the crypto currency more complicated because of technical terms. Developer must know how this terms make simple to avoid confusion and misunderstanding. As an IT student when I have a time, I hope I can make a way to simplify the process inside crypto currency.
1798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DID I MAKE A MISTAKE INVESTING IN BITCOIN? on: December 11, 2019, 03:20:49 PM
Just relax and keep calm, Bitcoin investment is not easy as piece of cake all factors must be checked while investing a coin especially its value and its season to have an accurate data and to know if this is the perfect time in investing a Bitcoin.
1799  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 10 Reasons Why Bitcoin Is Strong Today And Will Continue To Grow on: December 11, 2019, 02:29:49 PM
I agree especially in number 10 because Bitcoin is an old crypto currency that evolves because of many users. Its users know its limitations so the result the Bitcoin itself make a way to change its limitations and make it a full functional in the next decade or years but I am truly sure that this crypto coin will still exists because of its trust it make for many users.
1800  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can do Governements against Satoshi ? on: December 11, 2019, 01:26:42 PM
Governments have no rights to take him to their side because for me Satoshi make this coin or crypto coin called Bitcoin to established decentralization. So the result Satoshi will be still a mysterious man or group of people that help the world to stop centralized currency and to begin the freedom in the terms of crypto currency.
