2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Hidden Gems on: January 27, 2021, 02:13:24 PM
Among the three you have mentioned, I am only familiar with NOIA. We have different opinions, for others, they would consider them as hidden gems but for others, they don't. Not to promote the project but personally, I can see potential with NOIA as I am somehow interested and I've been monitoring it for some time already. The word hidden gem for me is too much to consider NOIA as one, but I can still see that they are a promising one. But of course, it's always a must to do prior research before investing in any token and not just rely on others' opinions.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple is dying on: January 25, 2021, 04:50:28 PM
It is uncertain as it can be clearly distinguished that it is continuously operating in the market in spite of the SEC issue. Furthermore, people seem to find hope as there is slight progress with the price. Nonetheless, there are endless possibilities and Ripple may figure some solutions to settle the case, considering that it established a strong influence on the investment decisions of investors. Personally, it is difficult to predict any potential output and believe any speculation. An investor can still invest their money with it, but they should be aware of the risk involved.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Thailand government seeks measures to tackle the problems of illegal gambling. on: January 25, 2021, 03:47:15 PM
If they are violating the rules, then it's reasonable for the government to shut down their casino businesses knowing that the safety of the people there will be at risk. The government of Thailand is actually doing great with how they take action towards the pandemic since they have low covid cases compared to other countries and they are probably just preventing another wave. Aside from their aim to prevent the spreading of the virus, illegal gambling won't do any benefits to the government that's why they are being strict with it. From what I have searched, there's only a limited legal form of gambling in Thailand and maybe that causes people to operate illegally. Their government can work on legalizing gambling/casinos in their country since they can benefit from it but I don't think it's the right time to focus on it right now since it can stimulate public gatherings.

6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People die from heart attack when they hit the jackpot. on: January 25, 2021, 03:03:57 PM
Other people really can't control their feelings especially when things like winning the jackpot prize happen since it's a rare experience. Probably most of the gamblers who had a heart attack have a history of heart disease that is why they are more prone to it. It's indeed unfortunate since winning a jackpot is unusual for us to experience yet they cannot celebrate their winning because they died due to extreme emotion. But we can't do anything about it, that's how life works.

8  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there subject to study Cryptocurrency ? on: January 24, 2021, 12:34:41 PM
Others already gave you links/ideas where you can learn about cryptocurrency and other related topics for beginners, you need to check them out. Sad to say that there are not many universities that offer courses specifically for this field. Even here in my country, I'm not sure if there is a specific course that teaches about blockchain and crypto. But even without going abroad, you can still acquire a lot of knowledge in this field through the internet because a lot of us here just learned through searching and exploring online especially here in the forum.
9  Economy / Economics / Re: In 2021 to 2022 you decide your life and wealth on: January 22, 2021, 02:29:38 PM
It's easy to decide, who would not want to be rich right? But again, it does not just stop there, actions must be done in other to achieve it. Regardless of the year, we can start working hard to aim for it but opportunities don't come to every one of us at the same time. 2021 and 2022 is the year for us to start recovering again from the crisis we experienced individually or economically. But I believe there is no deadline in deciding and working for our goal. As long as we are alive, we can work to become rich if we want to.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Toronto women win jackpot lottery on: January 21, 2021, 04:16:15 PM
Betting on the same number combinations is difficult for me unless you have the same patience as them to bet for 20 years consecutively. Also, combining all of the money they spend for 20 years, that's a lot of expense nevertheless, it's worth it since they've won $60M. But obviously, this luck won't seem to work with everyone, and this strategy might even take more than 20 years for others.  Personally, I'm not a fan of the lottery, and even for other games, I don't stick with the same thing for a long period. But I'm just amazed at their persistence and how they manage to win such a huge amount of prize with it.

Proper assessment should be implemented when receiving an email from an unknown address. Kindly note that any email may contain malicious software that can be a threat to the privacy of our accounts and computer. Furthermore, it can associate with fraudulent activities, like the Ponzi scheme. Thus, it should be reported as spam to flag the user and dispose of the email. Moreover, we should sporadically validate and check our received emails. Regardless, we should stay vigilant in responding and believing such messages.
12  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Bitcoin Help The Poor on: January 21, 2021, 01:18:09 PM
I somehow agree especially with what you enumerated but at some point, we can't generalize bitcoin to help the poor. It may be difficult for the lower class to have access to the bank but at the same time, they are the ones who also struggle with electricity and technological advancement so even access to bitcoin is still a hard task for them due to lack of means. As someone from the Philippines, bitcoin can indeed help people seeking opportunities like us. But as I have noticed, it's mostly the middle classes who can adopt and benefit from it since it's still difficult for the lower class to adopt and learn about bitcoin.

In conclusion, bitcoin can help the poor with its advantages but only selected people can take it.

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All of a sudden they want to join crypto. on: January 19, 2021, 02:49:52 PM
Hahahaha I have been getting quite alot of engagement lately... and pretty sure I'm not the only one  it's crazy seeing dm's  from doctors, lawyers, engineers, astronauts & Olympians.  Parents wanted me to be any of the above and now they're in my dm's trying to learn about crypto and how I make 6 figures from holding/staking altcoins like $BET $LINK $ ADA. Hmmmmmmmmm life.
Expect that more people will be interested in crypto as it gets more attention and exposure these days especially that we're in a bull market. It's good in a way that you were able to attract these people to engage in crypto but based on how I perceive your post, it looks like you have no interest in teaching or introducing it to them further since for me it sounds like you are boasting. But regardless of someone's profession, there's nothing wrong with getting interested in crypto. Even if you are already successful, if you want to know something then you are willing to learn. I hope those people on your dms will eventually learn and stay in crypto not just because they know how much you earn but also because they realize what crypto can do.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Discussion on: January 19, 2021, 01:37:02 PM
Instead of focusing on the assurance just to convince them to invest in bitcoin, tell them the risk factors of it and why it's worthy of taking a risk. There is nothing to be afraid of when they ask you about the questions related to the crashing of the price because that's normal and could happen in bitcoin. If they are really interested in bitcoin, this kind of factor won't discourage them easily. In fact, it will help them to be more careful and critical in investing in Bitcoin. Nothing is a 100% guarantee or assurance in investment, so why panic when it is natural in the field of investing.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has been targetted once again? on: January 18, 2021, 03:21:40 PM
News like this about bitcoin is not new at all, now that we are at the bull season, and for those who easily believe in what the media feed them without taking a deeper look, bitcoin is still not for them. If newcomers withdraw just because of the fud they heard from the media, it's their loss and not for bitcoin. The media can be manipulated by powerful people out there especially the government, and it can affect people's mindset towards it but in the end, we can still see the growth of bitcoin adoption from the public. So for me, the negative speculations usually just last for a short period, then people will again realize bitcoin's capabilities.
17  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Coinless 2025 on: January 18, 2021, 08:03:32 AM

19  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Lyka App on: January 17, 2021, 12:28:32 PM

20  Economy / Economics / Re: Vaccination Started in India | Impact over Indian Economy & World? on: January 16, 2021, 02:15:00 PM
I don't really know how fast the Indian government is vaccinating its people but I believe that other countries already started preparing and giving vaccines. Since India has a bigger population, it's understandable for their government to make fast action and start with mass vaccination. But I can't really say if they will have economic advantages since other countries are also working on it. This is not a race where the first country to finish providing vaccines for everyone will have an economic advantage. But obviously, if things work smoothly, not only in India without any problem with the vaccine, we will soon be back to our normal lives.
