921  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top coins to have in my portfolio? on: June 15, 2020, 07:29:21 AM
I always consider putting the strong cryptocurrencies in my portfolio and probably, not only I consider it in their portfolio and I guess most of the people who invested in cryptocurrencies always prioritize Bitcoin or the other strong ones because we already know they have full potential in the future. And so far, I'm now planning to add new coins in my portfolio which I found in the market and they are Elrond, Cartesi, and Chromia (I'm not promoting these coins). Plus, if you have a plan to add more coins in your portfolio always choose the coin that brings you an income and for better income try to allot more investment in Bitcoin just like I do even though it's too volatile.

If you are looking a good and reasonable Project in 2020 i advise you to have a look on Trexcoin https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5240080

Maybe, it's better not to spam your project because if they found it as a good coin probably they will come on it.
922  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19 effect on your country's economy!!! on: June 15, 2020, 06:45:31 AM
The Philippines is a third world country and obviously, my country is not ready nor prepared for this pandemic that suddenly arises from nowhere. When it was just starting, the government did not see that this will harm thousands and millions of people across the world that is why they did not ban travel flights immediately which made positive cases in the country increase rapidly.

For the past months of quarantine, the government is giving financial aid using different sectors of the government but it still not enough to feed all starving families that were affected by the sudden lockdown. What I can say is that our government is continuously borrowing money and this will put our country in great debt. Schools are suspended, while the Department of Education is still debating whether to freeze school year while there is no vaccine or to resume classes by August. Online classes won't be effective for everyone since not everyone has access to the internet.

While employees are starting to go back to work with the implemented new normal protocols, but it is still a struggle for everyone to travel because of the lack of transportation. There is also a lot of political issues and problems we are facing even in the middle of the pandemic, even protests outside. Overall, it's not like the government has not done anything, it's just that it's not enough for everyone and there are still lacking when it comes to finding a solution for this pandemic and the economy
923  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Home Court advantage = Not an advantage now because of no-live audience? on: June 15, 2020, 05:52:38 AM
What do you think, does this home-court advantage, still an advantage now? Do you think Moneyline odds will now be different from now on especially if both teams are equal in strength?

Home court advantage still exist.

1.  They are familiar with the place.
2.  They don't have to have a long trip for the match so they are kinda not stressed out due to the effect of long trip.
3.  There is no feeling of awkwardness or uneasy because as said, they are familiar with every corner of the court.  Feeling of awkwardness because of having no audience of course is an exemption.

Good point(s). I think, just by being in your own court gives you the edge. You usually practice there so you know where your good spot is. You know the place very well, that is familiarity.

Well, let's admit that the audience plays a huge factor in one's gameplay. But for the safety of everyone, the players should get used to play without a huge crowd. Besides, there's social media so they can still feel their fans' support before, during, and after the game.
It's not only the audience that gives them a home-court advantage because there is still a lot of factors in that advantage. Now that making crowd is still not allowed, they should practice getting used to that vibe when playing with less cheer and noise from fans. It may be new for the players but that does not mean that they lost fans, fans will still be there supporting them but not just physically because of the pandemic.

As long as everyone is safe, that's what matters the most because the virus is a big threat to the health of everyone. There is still a home-court advantage, it's just that the advantage decreases because of the lack of fans. But players can still play well if they are in proper and good condition.
924  Economy / Economics / Re: If you have agricultural land would you sell it or hold it ? on: June 14, 2020, 02:31:07 PM
Of course, I won't sell that land because it's a great asset to have. Besides its value that does not depreciate, like what they said, agricultural land is very important especially for those farmers who depend their lives on it. Not only because of the pandemic but even without it, I won't even think of selling it because I can gain more income from it.

Its value will even increase in the coming years so you will gain more profit if you'll sell it in the future. And even without selling it yet, you can still earn income from it because of the products and crops it produces. Since it produces an essential product, it will always be in demand in the market and you can even earn more, than selling the land immediately, and at the same time, you are helping hundreds of farmers to make a living.
925  Economy / Economics / Re: US economy wouldn't be shut down again despite the rising case count on: June 14, 2020, 01:29:48 PM
The U.S. government needs a concrete plan on how they will be handling the next two quarters or even the following year because there is no assurance that this pandemic will end this year. They need a plan on how they should handle those increasing COVID cases and what they need to do to help their people, especially those who lost their jobs during the pandemic.

America is a developed country, and they are more likely to be able to fight against the pandemic. What I mean is that looking at how other countries like Korea and China manage to flatten their curves, America can also do that. They just need to make a better plan that will benefit everyone without risking their economy.

926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PAGCOR waiting for the approval to reopen land-based casinos. on: June 14, 2020, 12:13:00 PM

I think they should ease the restriction and let other businesses open as the government can't feed all its people. Not all people can avail of their govt benefits and so they will starve to death if they will not find a way how to earn their own money. And if everyone will wait for the govt's aid, I don't think they will see the light at the end of the tunnel.

Although the curve is not yet flattening they have opened some industries to operate, some restaurants, malls, and works are now opened only the transportation is not like bus and jeepneys which are the popular mode of transportation, people now will have to use a bicycle or walk to get into their work, Pagcor I believe can reopen they have slots there it can be reopened but with card games, they must follow strict protocols and rearrange the table arrangement so they can follow the right protoocols.
That's one of the major problems most workers are facing, even if they want to go back to work, not all employers are providing them transportation services. And I can see how hard it is for the majority of workers to travel back and forth because mist of them don't have private cars, and bikes are not accessible for those who work far from their homes. Only limited public transportations are available, and they are also limiting passengers so it's difficult for them to go back to work.

As for land-based casinos, they can reopen with strict protocol but the thing is if cases would remain increasing, there's a chance that we'll go back to ECQ, and casinos won't be able to reopen. Let's just hope that new positive cases would decrease so we can start going back living in (new) normal lives.
927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Physical Gambling Casino Simulation through GTA V on: June 14, 2020, 11:39:40 AM
That's interesting since you can also gamble in a game with high visual quality, but I don't think gamblers would choose to download this game just to gamble when they can do it in an actual gambling game. Those who have this game already or can download it can have the opportunity to try this out, but if your purpose is to gamble online, there's a lot of online casinos that they can try.

Just like what they have said, even with the quality graphics, since they can't win real money, there is still a missing vibe unlike in real casinos. I have already downloaded that game before but was not able to try looking or playing in the casino. But overall, the game was nice and I really liked the graphics.

929  Economy / Economics / Re: What can you buy with 0.01 cents (1 penny) ? on: June 13, 2020, 11:44:50 AM
Well due to inflation, I don't think you can buy anything with cents, maybe in other countries but in my country, you can rarely buy anything.  If I convert 0.01 USD in our own currency which is PHP, the only thing that comes to mind is a single piece of street food that can usually be bought with 1php per 2 pieces.

In the old days, you can buy things with that value but right now, I don't know. Things are getting expensive day by day so I doubt that there is any, especially in my country. But if you will use the highest currency in the world which is KWD (I just searched it in google), and converts 0.01 in my country's currency, I will be able to buy candy with it.
930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Most trusted projects ruined me !! on: June 13, 2020, 10:20:24 AM
Can you tell the coins and tokens you hold before?

Actually your statement is true, most of altcoins is not profitable if we hold it for long-term. I can said, altcoins is good for short-term and mid-term only, it's too risky for long-term. I would suggest to choose Bitcoin if you want to hold for long-terms. Also, on 2017 is the "altcoin season" many altcoins reach ATH while on that year. This is one of reason why your coins/tokens become worthless now.
Definitely agree with this, bitcoin is very suitable for long term investment unlike with other cryptocurrencies in the market. I have also seen some thread here about the coins that they bought way back 2018 and 2019 which they did not earn any profit from it. Probably, you will now never earn any profit to the coin that you have bought on that year but you can still earn all your losses if you can now find decent projects.

And, maybe you have now already learned that never ever hold altcoin for the long term unless it was bitcoin and never buy any coin that has no potential in hitting good price in the market.
932  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why it’s important to avoid telling everyone about your crypto holdings on: June 12, 2020, 04:09:57 PM
I think it's just the same with fiat, you don't just tell or brag the amount of money you have. Things like this, especially money should remain private because sharing it with everyone can attract people even those opportunists. It's more prone to scammers and opportunists sharing private information on social media, so we should really be careful sharing information with others.

There's nothing wrong with sharing your knowledge about crypto and bitcoin, but of course, there's also a limitation because you can't just share every information. Know who to trust and can be trusted before sharing such information. My friends are also into crypto and bitcoin so it's okay for us to talk about crypto, but not to the point we tell each other the amount of bitcoin we have.
933  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are your recommended ways of gambling. on: June 12, 2020, 02:14:01 PM
Choose the type of gamble you know, the type of gamble you have a passion for, even if you lose it you know you enjoy it. If you want to use a mindset or a strategy for playing, then choose card games like poker. But my favorite of all gambling games was bingo even when I was young, I had fun. I just really love this game. Although we say that winning depends on luck, it still depends on how you mark your card and how attentive you are to Bingo.
Spending your money to a game you enjoy with is like playing for fun and not after money, its a good point for me. If you want to gamble for long period then you have to think of games that you most enjoy and you have knowledge how to maximize your chances to win. Plus you need to set a capital that is not meant for important needs, learn to control and have discipline about the money you will use for gambling.
There's no point in gambling if you're not having fun so it's also one of the factors you need to look for in (online) casinos, find a game that will entertain you so you can enjoy it. There's a lot of games being offered in casinos, you only need to look for a game that suits your taste.

But enjoyment also depends on how well you are doing in the game because even if you really like the game, you'll still get pissed or mad if you keep on losing. So it's not only about the game you choose, but it's also about the situation you have so if you know you're losing, better stop and take a break. Gambling is fun as long as it's not affecting your personal life, so self-control is also a must.
934  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CoCa Cola now Accept bitcoin on Australia and New Zealand. on: June 12, 2020, 11:16:00 AM
I see this as a good adaption especially from a big company, it's a good way to promote bitcoin in the public. However, I don't think a lot of users will actually pay using bitcoin for one drink. If you're just planning to buy a small drink, I think it's more efficient to use a bill or coin than bitcoin.

For the holder's side, I think not everyone will personally be spending bitcoin for a can of coke but on the other side, it's a good opportunity for crypto and bitcoin itself to get recognized by the public. But maybe other bitcoin holders might try this if it's available in a lot of places since it's still nice to have this first-hand experience like using bitcoin because like this is not always available in some countries.
935  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My Bitcointalk on: June 11, 2020, 12:24:47 PM
Of course, the longer you stayed here in the forum, the more improvement or changes you will notice if you will look back to your previous self. First is definitely my grammar, although it's not my first language, reading threads here feels like I kinda improved with my English. Second, is the knowledge I learned about crypto and blockchain because of continuously reading and researching about it. There's a lot of things I have learned because of bitcointalk, even my way of thinking in handling my finances.

Perhaps these changes, you won't notice it during the process but when you try to look back, you will l realize how you changed for the better. And I think criticism is part of the process cause you won't improve if no one will tell you what you need to improve.
936  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why lots of people got scam easily on: June 11, 2020, 07:44:08 AM
At present time everybody is looking to scam one another. In cryptocurrencies the project that getting us scam we don't understand the project very well. If anybody don't research any new ico or ico and put money into that definitely going to be scam , might loss big amount . Any field in this world where we going to put our hard earned money should do a well reaserch that this project is what all about otherwise we don't find any thing from that position.
It's a probably big problem if you started investing in a new project without properly researching it. Just like what you have said, it might end up in being scam projects and that's true and sometimes there are great projects out there that turn on out to a scam. But, doing simple research is totally help us to lessen the risk of getting scam but in reality, some of the people are so tired of doing it and sometimes they easily fall on the sweet words or promising of the projects that's why they give all their trust and even their money.

At this time, I still don't have any experience of getting scam with crypto projects and I always stick on the strong cryptocurrencies in the market. Op also tells that being greed can also cause of getting scam which is totally true because you intend to able to earn good profits so you will put all your money in new projects that you found knowing there's no assurance that it will get success and we should also value the doing simple research because it can save your money from getting scam.
937  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: June 10, 2020, 03:26:19 PM
I think this might show us something.

Do gamblers actually care about their health or they don't as long as they can gamble. They might follow some precautions when it comes to the virus like social distancing but it is still risky since there will be a lot of people in a casino and might leave a virus anywhere there in the casino. I don't know what they are thinking that but all I know is that it is true people needed jobs right now but it is still risky.
A gambler with good self-control will probably know how to take care of their own self. But gamblers who are addicted to it would definitely still continue gambling even in the middle of the pandemic because they were not able to take care of their mental health in gambling, what more for physical health.

The risk is really high, especially the number of positive cases in the US, so even with following the protocol, there is still a high risk. Even when just going outside, I don't feel 100% safe and secure anymore, what more staying in a public place where you will hold a thing that a lot of gamblers will also hold. You don't even know if the person who holds it before you were already a carrier or not, so it's a big risk for everyone.
938  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Choice To Stay Longer Online Or Casinos on: June 10, 2020, 01:05:25 PM
If there is an existing topic or similar topic I will lock this thread please let me know.
Casinos have many perks like free drinks, foods and sometimes room and accommodation and they also offer loan to their old clients
This is the advantage of playing in casino houses, and also the Beautiful Girls that serving us players another attraction to consider and to lure more gamblers in their own benefits.
Putting attractive girls is their way to make gamblers spend more time inside the casino. It's for their own benefit, and I guess it's part of their marketing strategy to earn more revenue, customers, and for you to keep on coming back to their casino.

I play longer in Live casino mate, because i have some friends with me whenever i play in real casino, and of course there are some flirting sometimes things that you cannot do at home .
So are you staying longer in the physical casino because you are gambling or just flirting with girls or doing it at the same time?

I guess there is really more excitement in a physical casino than online because of the different environment compared to playing at home. It's understandable why you take a long time in physical casinos than online because there are also other businesses there hahaha.
939  Local / Pilipinas / Re: The Anti-Terrorism Act and Why Non-Custodial Wallets Will Be Important on: June 10, 2020, 12:17:20 PM

940  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: E-gambling on: June 10, 2020, 11:15:24 AM
Some people might not know these sites but I think you don't need to post this since a lot of gamblers here already know where to go. Another thing is that there are a lot of signature campaigns here on gambling sites, people could just click on it.
But I think that it is just fine to have these options to have a breakdown,

As for me, I prefer to have to look in this kind of list to have recommendations from another user. This way, I can have more options for a better website to choose from. Also, many users here might prefer the same.
There's nothing wrong recommending some gambling sites that one thinks are trustworthy. At the end of it, you are still the one who will choose if you will try other sites that someone had recommended. Indeed some gamblers prefer to look for more opinions and reviews by others before trusting and trying a gambling site to make sure that it has a good reputation.

Even though I don't easily believe with recommendations, it's still good to have more options when picking the best online gambling. Although I usually stick with the one I know and have tried before, there are people who are looking for recommendations, especially new online gamblers.
