961  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The best device for online gambling. on: June 05, 2020, 11:33:36 AM
I guess it varies on what medium you have, and the number of options you also have. Personally, I often gamble using my computer because of the fact that I'm on my computer at all times when I'm at home. Probably I'm in front of my PC maximum of 8 hours a day, so every time I feel like gambling, it's easier to do it with my PC.

But when I'm outside or somewhere else and I feel like gambling, I would go for my cellphone since that's the only option I have. I can't deny that I find it more convenient when I'm using my PC because I like the interface better, and I can feel and enjoy the game more. But I'm still fine using any of the two, especially if only one is available. However, if I'm quite feeling lazy, I sometimes use my phone even when I'm at home.
962  Economy / Economics / Re: India's new financial package is a national laughing stock - what do you think? on: June 05, 2020, 07:08:48 AM
I don't know anything about how the government in India is handling the current situation, but there are two sides to it. Since employees don't make loans, they are not obliged to pay it, which is good because they have no income as of the moment. But I think it will also be hard for the part of the entities knowing that they also have no operation and revenue, but they will have to make a loan for their employees.

It's fine than having no help at all, but it would be better if the government can provide better assistance, not just loans. India may not be a rich country like others but I think they can still provide some help for their citizens who lost their jobs due to the pandemic. Maybe they also helped in other ways, their citizen can judge their government's performance since they are the one who knows it very well. But personally, I don't think a loan is a good help because it might help you with the current situation but you will have to bring it in the future and pay for it.
963  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Things I have learned from this forum. on: June 04, 2020, 12:54:28 PM
Congrats about that, always remember that small achievement is still an achievement. Since it's already a good start for you, continue doing it while making an improvement. Seriously, I don't have much advice to say because you already learned some lessons by just being here in bitcointalk for almost a month. And if you are still looking for tips or a lesson, there is a lot of thread here. It will be a big help, especially for beginners.

You have already said it, be patient so you don't need to rush things, even earning merits. It will come, you just need to make sure that you are learning, it's what really matters. Aside from efforts, you also need dedication if you really want to learn more about crypto, like investing and trading. And I think you are adapting very well maybe because you already have experience in another forum, so just continue doing your best to contribute here.
964  Economy / Economics / Re: How can the corona virus end Faster and economy reopen on: June 04, 2020, 10:13:31 AM
Obviously, it's the vaccine that we need in order to stop this pandemic. But right now, we still have no vaccine, and as far as I know, different countries are participating in finding the cure for COVID. While every one of us is waiting for the vaccine, it's best to keep yourself safe.

Governments also have a big role in order to handle the pandemic, even without the vaccine, other countries were able to fight the virus and flatten their curves. Look at how countries like China, Japan, and Korea were able to lower their daily cases of COVID. If other countries would follow what they are doing, they can also decrease new cases. And with that, they can reopen businesses without worrying that their economy might crash.
965  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My 1000th post on this forum! Things I have learnt :) on: June 04, 2020, 08:28:37 AM
Just recently within this week, I have also realized that I reached my 1000th post here in the forum. It's still quite amazing for me to reach 1000 posts and made even a small contribution here. And I think most of us also have this moment when we are shy and quite afraid of posting especially when we are still newbie, but it only takes time before we realize that we already have the confidence and be comfortable here.

Giving respect to people even if you don't know them personally depends on our own. There's nothing wrong showing respect to strangers and for me, you don't just show respect because they are so-called seniors because everyone deserves to be respected, and just being polite and nice to people is also a way of showing respect. I also believe that you need respect here in the forum if you want a smooth and less drama journey in Bitcointalk.
966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PAGCOR waiting for the approval to reopen land-based casinos. on: June 04, 2020, 07:55:48 AM
This is just mad.

They know that the cases are still increasing, they implemented GCQ, a lot of testings are having a problem, they are submitting the anti-terror bill that just makes them like crybabies being scared and afraid of being told by media and social accounts. They have the nerve on focussing on this bill rather than focussing on the pandemic, and since they can't stop the increasing cases, they will just turn a blind eye to it and return to normal. And when they are asked about it, they will say that the people wanted it, so they went with it. In the end, their ego is more important than their people.
This why I think people would burst their anger even more if they allowed the reopening of casinos. The government has been busy with other issues and disregarding the most important issue we are facing. They should focus on dealing with the pandemic, but they are doing other businesses. The public might think that reopening casinos may be unnecessary because only those who have the privilege can gamble. But my concern is for the casino employees who also need their jobs.

~snip
The mall is far different from casinos. Even though they can make a crowd, not all establishment in malls is open. Mostly are for essentials like groceries, food business, hardware, and such. But business like the cinema is still closed as it is not necessary.

As for the reopening of a land-based casino, it's not that I am against this because I do understand that casino workers also need to go back to work. But what I'm concerned is when they reopen it, would not other gamblers find it unfair since they will only allow big casinos but gambling in small places is not allowed? A lot of Filipino gamblers can't afford to go to casinos, they just make small gatherings to gamble, mostly card games or cockfighting. So if they allowed casinos, there is also a high possibility that some gamblers would gamble illegally because they allowed gambling in casinos but not for small gambling places.
967  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Panahon Na Nga Ba Maging "Cashless Society" ang Pilipinas? on: June 03, 2020, 02:28:32 PM

968  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: June 03, 2020, 07:56:47 AM

969  Economy / Gambling discussion / PAGCOR waiting for the approval to reopen land-based casinos. on: June 03, 2020, 05:34:24 AM
After 2 months of strict quarantine in the Philippines, PAGCOR (Philippines Amusement and Gaming Corporation) submitted an approval to resume land-based gaming to IATF (Inter-Agency Task Force). Last month they submitted the request including the proposed safety guidelines to follow by the operators.

Last March when the Philippines started its ECQ (Enhanced Community Quarantine) where most businesses have closed, and only essential businesses remain. While the start of June, they lifted the lockdown to GCQ (General Community Quarantine) were workers and employees can go back to work and the opening of some businesses. For the whole 2 months of ECQ, most businesses have no income, same with casinos. Until now, casinos are closed and gambling is still banned in the country to avoid crowded places.

Now, PAGCOR revealed that they submitted a request to resume the operations of land-based casinos. They included safety protocols such as;
-wearing of face masks
-strict compliance of social distancing
-limiting the capacity of not more than 50% to both table games and EGMs
-preventing standing bettors or loitering in the gaming areas.

Quote
The possible date for re-opening is June 16 when GCQ restrictions come under further review.

Some land-based casinos have already shown their preparations for the possible reopening of casinos. Safety measures include regular disinfecting of equipment, thermal scanning, sanitation mats, and more. Big casinos are being monitored, waiting if they are planning to re-open soon.

This is good news for gamblers who badly want to gamble if they allowed the reopening of casinos. But knowing the correct situation, our country has already almost 19,000 positive cases, they might reject this request. And if ever they will reopen land-based casinos, perhaps only high-class people can gamble because lower-class gamblers don't gamble in a big casino. Personally, I don't know if they will approve this request or not because unlike the gamblers, the public will probably don't want to reopen casinos.

Do you think it's safe to reopen land-based gaming knowing that the cases are still increasing by hundreds every day?

970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Home Court advantage = Not an advantage now because of no-live audience? on: June 03, 2020, 04:27:00 AM
Even if there's a home-court advantage, it does not give an assurance that the home team will the game. The outcome still depends on the performance of the players. But even though there's no live audience in the coming games, I think that they still have the advantage because of the environment. Home-court advantage is not just about the number of fans, there are also other factors and one of that is the environment. Since they are familiar and comfortable with the place, they won't have to make adjustments.

At the end of it, even if the other team has the advantage, the opposite team can still win if they played better than the other. Even if there is no audience, players can still boost their energy if they are in good condition. And knowing that there are fans supporting them even though they can't be inside the game.
971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online casino searches at "all time high" during lockdown on: June 02, 2020, 09:16:15 AM
That's what most likely gamblers do if they are already bored, they will find alternative ways to gamble since they can't go to a casino. Probably there are gamblers who are not used to online gambling but end up looking for one because they really want to gamble. I hope those gamblers can find a trusted casino site because if online casinos are being popular these days, scammers will use the opportunity to deceive other people.

Obviously, crypto casinos can benefit from it, and if they want to get attention, they should promote their sites. They can also use this opportunity now that people are looking for online casinos to promote their casinos so people can actually learn about crypto casinos.
972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Life soundtrack for Gamblers? on: June 02, 2020, 08:00:13 AM
Since they already gave some links, I won't add any more, you can just google it and a lot of lists will show up. You can just listen to them, and choose what's the best for the theme or concept you will be doing. But since you will be doing a promotion video, for me, it's better to use an instrumental especially if someone is speaking in the video.

Since we don't know the concept and your plan for the video, it's hard to give suggestions that will fit your taste. In the end, you are still the one to choose what music to use. But if you guys have enough time to work on it, you can come up with your own music. You can use it in other promotions and such, not just on Youtube because that's your own music.
973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Pump is starting now..! (Target 30 satoshi!) 30X on: June 02, 2020, 06:38:08 AM
Seriously? How sure you are that it will gonna pump and I don't know if you can really earn 30x there because I don't see any buy order at all. This another shitcoin and probably, this is another coin created by YOBIT that promising you will earn a huge amount of profit once you invested. It seems in the next few days the volume of that coin will become 0 and it sad because you can see there are plenty of people who buy this shitcoin. Don't ever fall to this kind of coin because it just a waste of money and also stay away from this exchange. IMO, this coin will not really go up to 30 sats.

volume is increasing..
Let's see if the volume will really increase and btw the volume of that coin is still 0.03 BTC.

“The economic models are very difficult to predict the situation, since this has nothing to do with normal economic factors, this has to do with a closing of the economy and an opening of the economy,” Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said earlier this month.

Because of the pandemic, it's really hard to forecast the future situation of their economy because it's a sudden crisis that no one is expecting. I am not from the US, but I think even in other countries, it will be hard to predict what will happen next, especially that this pandemic is still isn't over.

COVID-19 hit the US hard and due to lockdown, business owners also have to save their business by reducing employees. I think we should not worry or make such speculations why they won't be releasing an economic projection, what the government should do, is to take action towards 40 million unemployed citizens. Even without the economic projection, for sure everyone is aware that the economy is not doing well because of the pandemic.

Mga kabayan! may nakapanood ba ng video dito sa facebook about don sa coins.ph account na unti-unti nauubos yung funds nya I mean kusang nagsesend yung funds into another wallet and nagsesend yung mga funds nya without 2fa.

976  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: As a Beginner in this Forum on: June 01, 2020, 07:47:19 AM
Everyone is welcome here in the forum, and I believe there's no such thing as "late" when it comes to crypto, and even here in the forum. Even though you are new, you can still make contributions, even the simplest one. What I can advise you is to start learning and reading more about cryptocurrency and blockchain if you are also new to it. About the forum, since you have already read the rules, then you can explore here in the forum and be familiarize. You can also learn a lot here by reading informative threads about a certain topic that you don't understand.

I cannot really give you good advice since I'm still also learning. But you can start from the basics, there's a lot of resources online to read, and other members have already made their recommendations on what you can read as a beginner.

977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Vietnam bursts an illegal casino who used to handle bets worth $3 billions on: June 01, 2020, 06:56:59 AM
As they said, gambling is not legal in Vietnam, that's probably the reason why they run that online gambling site illegally because even if they want to, they can't get licensed for it. Who would even run a gambling business without a license if it's legal in their country, especially if your business is earning a lot?

Quote
Gambling is illegal in Vietnam in most cases, though foreigners are allowed to gamble at local casinos.

Last year, Vietnam said it would allow some local citizens to gamble at selected casinos on a trial basis.
This is from an article last year where Vietnam arrested 380 Chinese nationals for operating illegal gambling.

Source:
Code:
https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2019/07/vietnam-detains-400-chinese-online-gambling-bust-190729063159314.html

I think the issue here is not about gambling without knowing if the site is authorized to do so. Because if you are a local citizen from Vietnam, you would know that it's illegal, but still they choose to gamble anyway. But if you are in a country where gambling and online casinos are legal, that's the time you should choose wisely where to gamble and to make sure that they are trustworthy.
978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What do you know about TBC2 coin? on: June 01, 2020, 06:05:22 AM
I saw it was allowed to trade on https://mercuriex.com/
 Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed Embarrassed
Never heard of that exchange.
Look to the volume, majority is 0 and I don't believe that you just saw it. Do you own that website?
Me too! I have never heard of this coin! It seems that the cryptocurrency market does not mention TCB2. I don't see anyone trading and trading them on the market. Can someone tell me more information about them.

so do i, never know about TBC2 coin and the exchange above
seems a very risky if the OP drop his money in this project, hope he will think again and better to drop the money to a well known altcoin project
Probably, none of us know nor heard about this token TBC2, but we already know that there is an existing token called TBC (The Billion Coin) which is a total scam. Besides, you can see a lot of threads about TBC thread which explain how it becomes a scam. It is also my first time hearing the name of the exchange that OP mentioned. It's always risky wherever you invest your money but, investing in this kind of project is a pure waste of money because you will never earn profit from it. OP, I want to ask if you already invested in this coin? and do you have any relatives or friends that also invested in it? If yes, it's better to pull out your money and invest it in good projects and I'm hoping you did not put a lot of money.

For me, it's better to stay away from this project, and if you ever heard the TBC or TBC2 or whatever it is, just stay away and never ever risk your money.
979  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you donate in a casino? on: June 01, 2020, 05:10:43 AM

I think one of the best ways is donating your funds to the people on the poorest of the poor instead of the religion I'm not against on any religion infect there are one of the next highest market earners because the number of their supporters and people believes on them.

That depends on the person donating, people who donated money through religious institution are also donating in other ways or directly to the people they like to help, they just have enough funds so they are looking for difference channels to distribute the donation.
I think in cases like this pandemic, those religious institutions who are asking for donations, they also use it to help less fortunate people. I bet the money isn't directly for them, they are just being a medium for people who wants to donate. For example churches, also help people in need with the money they received from donations so basically, it's just like other organizations. But if you don't trust all religious institutions because they might just scam people, there are well-known and trusted institutions you can choose to ensure that your money is really being used to help other people.

And if you lack connections, it's hard to find people personally, who really need help. Maybe that's the reason why most donators are looking for an institution that can give those funds for those who need it, rather than directly giving it person by person.
980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is the main purpose in gambling, always to make more money? on: May 31, 2020, 03:27:19 PM
~snip

Very well said. It is frustrating to see some people claiming that they gamble only for fun and entertainment and money, profits don't matter to them and they do it for fun and to kill time and they have no other intentions. It's flat out lie.
Even though some gamblers are looking for fun and entertainment, we can't hide that there is also a desire to earn money. If they are only looking for entertainment, there's a lot of things to do that can surely entertain them even without risking money. Even though I say that gambling is for entertainment, I also know that it's not the only reason why I gamble.

Perhaps they just want others to think that they are not into money that is why they gamble but thinking about it, there's no way they don't want to win money. Every gambler aims to win, regardless of what other reasons they have, winning money is always there.
