841  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cock Fight on: July 02, 2020, 06:37:31 AM
I think it's illegal in most countries that's why it is not that popular in other countries. But in the Philippines, I think it remains legal because it's already popular for decades, and I think it also becomes a part of the tradition. In addition to that is that the government is also earning from it.

I think most Filipinos have at least one person they personally know that is into cockfighting. And the fact that gamblers would still arrange a cockfighting event in the middle of the pandemic even if it's not allowed, it just shows how popular it is in our country that gamblers would risk their lives for it.
842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Vietnam bursts an illegal casino who used to handle bets worth $3 billions on: July 01, 2020, 03:25:52 PM
More reason why gamblers must be careful about the platform they gamble, doing a little research will definitely help not to give out your hard earned money to fraudsters. Believe me, many have been victim of this gambling casino before the police bursted them. For any gambling casino to think of ways in which they can extort gamblers means they are not reputable. Good that the police bursted them, probably for them to register the casino.
Aside from that, since the casino was operating illegally, whether gamblers know it or not, they are still liable for gambling in that casino. And I doubt that all those who gamble in that casino had no idea that they were operating illegally, so probably they knew it yet still keep on gambling. So I can't say that all of their customers were just a victim since they are still responsible for what they are doing. Perhaps they knew that it is being protected by higher officials that they are also not afraid that the online casino will get busted.
843  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Good News! Binance Support Philippines Peso (PHP) for P2P Trading on: July 01, 2020, 01:52:48 PM

844  Economy / Economics / Re: How in the world we going to restart the world economy ? on: July 01, 2020, 12:32:35 PM
Most countries are now at the beginning phase of recovering from what we have lost during the months of lockdown. They can't let the economy stopped working for a long time because it will just affect everyone living in that area. As I have noticed from other countries, businesses are starting to operate again with strict protocols implementing to protect everyone. I guess that's how we can recover from the losses. It may not be for the long term solution because it can cause more positive cases, but there's no other solution while we are still waiting for the vaccine.

I'd be honest, as long as there's still no vaccine for this virus, then the economy would still have a hard time recovering considering that people could still get infected and ruin people's business. Though it seems that things are getting controlled now.

I don't know much about the other countries but here in the Philippines, the government is still planning to extend the quarantine as there are people who are still getting infected at a high rate which would greatly affect the countries economy in the long run. Nevertheless, every country would still find a way to separate the infected ones and treat them.

Give the world time, economy would be blooming again soon once this pandemic end.
I think in the Philippines, we have not controlled this pandemic since it keeps on increasing, it's just that we are slowly getting used to the fact that there is a virus and we can't do anything but to keep living.
845  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best altcoins for 2020? on: July 01, 2020, 10:11:33 AM
BNB is very surprising, I prefer coins that grow quickly. bnb has a large community with the largest trade today. Binance is a new reference in the crypto trade.
but don't trust the exchange too much, nor does the bnb, maybe one day you will lose your funds.

Every coin have some risks Asyakashi! Binance have a great exchange, but they have DEX as well. Now BNB is not just
an exchange token, it's a platform for new apps. And like other platforms they will try to have many apps, with their marketing
and possibilities I believe they will attract many developers. I think we can believe in BNB in long-term, I do and I invested
already. Probably I will add more money over time in BNB.
That's great if you going to add more money in Binance coin and in fact, I'm also a holder of BNB and I'm adding it little by little. We can really say that Binance exchange is one of the best exchanges in the crypto world and aside from that, you can also see a lot of great features on their trading platform. I can say that Binance is also good for long term investment just like bitcoin so, there's no doubt in the next coming years you will see more improvement in its price and also on their exchange as well. Of course, we can't really trust all exchange that's why we should not leave any funds in an exchange because there's a possibility that it can be lost or can be hacked.

But for me, the best altcoins so far are Ethereum, Binance coin, Elrond.
846  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Warning: SEC issued a warning against FORSAGE! on: July 01, 2020, 07:25:35 AM

You can start investing on Forsage for a minimum amount of P600.00 up to P600,000.00 and ang profit mo dipende sa kung anong level ng investment mo.

Code:
https://forsage.io/

Kitang-kita naman kung gaano kalaking Ethereum ang kinikita ng iba dyan and not sure kung totoo ito pero kung ganito ang ipapakita sa mga naiinvite or iniinvite nila paniguradong agad-agad silang sasali.
847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UK rules will hit loot boxes games hard - as they’re turning kids into gamblers. on: June 30, 2020, 04:44:26 PM
Grin games you win without cashing out isn't a gambling platform and should be hit with more rules, they deserve this. Those games were my liken from childhood because I used to play with these games on phones. Buying virtual coins to game with real fiats money looks bad, this can  also lead many kids to early gambling addiction. The car race was my favourite among these categories of games, some of my gambling zeas (minor addiction) today came from here, and am still strongly with them.

Games with cashing out or not should be definitely regulated more if they are for kids. Just because they don't require actual money and work with virtual currencies, or skins/mounts for games, doesn't mean they can't be addictive for kids.
The thing with casinos is the games are somehow standardized, everyone knows the chance to win. But with these loot boxes, no one knows their chances of winning something big. It could be all a big scam in the end. For youngsters under 18 there definitely needs to be  more regulation.
It's the downside of letting kids be addicted to gadgets at a young age. It may not involve monetary rewards like in real gambling, kids can still be addicted to games that they can bring once they grow up.

But one thing is that, even if the game is not intended for minors, once it gets popular, minors will still play it since it's accessible. So it's already outside of the hand of the developer nor the government. The regulation should be implemented by their parents. Also, kids won't be able to spend money on loot boxes if their parents didn't allow them in the first place. Kids still find it hard to control their emotions so once they start spending money on certain entertainment, it will be hard for them to resist doing it again.

848  Economy / Economics / Re: Is the US economy suddenly recovering? on: June 30, 2020, 03:25:18 PM
Just a few days ago, the U.S. reached it's highest daily recorded cases of COVID with over 40,000 cases so we cannot say that they are suddenly recovering since they are still in the middle of fighting against the virus. The graph is more likely showing that businesses and the economy are starting to reopen again to recover what they have lost in the economy during the lockdown. So basically, it's like that they are still at the starting point.

But looking at the graph you provided, well, I guess it's a good sign for recovering. But if they failed to protect the people and handle the virus since they are already reopening businesses, I don't think their recovery phase will last longer. A lot of workers are still suffering from unexpected job losses due to the pandemic, and if it continues to increase, it may get worse.

850  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I have a plan of teaching college students in my neighborhood Bitcoin on: June 30, 2020, 12:41:13 PM
That's a nice initiative OP. Teaching them about bitcoin is just like the same with how teachers teach them with the lesson. Obviously, starting from the introduction, the basics, and slowly moving into the technical part. Also, don't forget about the application of bitcoin and crypto in real life.

But I think you don't have to worry about the topics you will discuss that much, as long as they can understand the lesson because they are already graduating students and for sure, they already have a better understanding. And if they are really interested, they can make their own research. Btw, I also want to know what will happen to your discussion, so please update us.
851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Alert] Scam attempt in the name of gambling house and moderator on: June 30, 2020, 11:26:23 AM
Scammers really use this kind of trick to lure people to play on their websites. I have seen similar stories and approaches like this here in the forum, so you will already notice if the message is suspicious or not. A moderator himself, asking random people to deposit and play, promising to make them win and then asking half of the jackpot. That's already suspicious. People shouldn't fall for this "easy money" because you will just end up losing everything. It's better to report and ignore random messages from a stranger, especially like what OP received.

Btw, thanks for informing us here since we never know if someone would actually fall for those scammers. There's already a lot of messages like this in Telegram so I just ignore them.
852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chess on Sports/eSports betting on: June 29, 2020, 03:48:31 PM
I like playing chess, but watching it is quite boring. One match can take several hours and sometimes it can take up to 1 hour before a player makes a move.
I know some betting platform where you can bet on chess (but they do not accept cryptos).
I kinda agree that only a few people will enjoy watching a chess game since it takes a lot of time before a player decided to make a move. It's not that I don't find it entertaining, but in my place, there's a nearby park where some people are playing chess. But looking at their age range, older people tend to appreciate chess more than younger people. But since I think that younger people are more into online gambling compared to older people, they prefer more entertaining games and sports.

However, it's good to know that chess is starting to gain interest among players. Maybe in the future, we will be able to see a lot of sports betting platforms that will accept chess.

I think the same way too! Its entertaining only for those who plays it and to the audience who knows how to play it. But for me, its kind of boring and silence makes me not entertained. I watch esports that I didn't even know how to play but I still enjoyed it. Its hard just like other esports game but I think the problem is how it appears to other people. And yep, they will still have their audience but I'm not sure it will be as big as other games.
Chess still gets audiences but even the audiences remain quiet and just looking and waiting for the next move of the players. While in e-sports, even the audience can feel the excitement of the players, so there's really a big difference.

Its true that older people enjoyed playing chess since it is relaxing and stimulates your brain to analyze, but to be honest it is not really that popular when it comes to betting or gambling since it is a slow paced game and needs quiet a lot of time to make a move. I have been also wondering before if there are existing gambling sites intended for chess but now i've seen some.
That's why we don't usually see chess in betting sites because it's not that exciting compared to others. You won't find the excitement of watching a game especially when you don't know how to play it. Unlike in other e-sports, even with no knowledge about it, you will still kinda understand the game. It's more thrilling because it has more action compared to chess, and chess requires a lot of thinking about the next move you'll do while in other e-sports, you just keep on moving.

854  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you doing now? on: June 29, 2020, 01:45:33 PM
How do you survive in the current market situation?
If the bounty project is no longer profitable, what do you do now?
Basically, I survive by just investing in the top coins which are profitable for me and there's plenty of ways to survive on this current situation of the market. You just need to be good at investing and never ever invest in sh*t/scam projects so you can still earn profit even though there's a bloody market. For me, the bounty project is still somehow profitable because until now you can still find a legit project out there but we all know that there are more failed/scam projects than the legit ones. You can also see that many bounty hunters still participate in bounty projects so it means they are still earning profit from it, but I guess it's not totally a big profit compared to the amount of time and effort they exert to do the tasks.

And as of now, I'm participating in a signature campaign that pays me in bitcoin and this thing also helps me to survive in this current situation of the market and it can help me to add little capital to my investment.
855  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think eSport gambling will become more popular than normal Sport betting? on: June 29, 2020, 12:00:27 PM
It depends because although e-sports are starting to gain more attention, traditional sports events remain popular. A lot of people are already into e-sports that's why e-sport gambling is also becoming in demand but I doubt that everyone will shift from sports betting to e-sports. The two will remain popular because gamblers can be a fan of both. It's just that, we cannot have the usual sports event we had before because of the pandemic that's why a lot of gamblers are moving in e-sports. But once everything comes back to normal, they will still receive the same attention they used to have.

Let's expect that e-sports events and betting will be really popular because of technology. But since it has a different excitement with traditional sports events, I don't think we have to worry about who will gain more attention from gamblers because both of them will.
856  Economy / Economics / Re: China economy and how they handle Covid-19. on: June 28, 2020, 06:30:42 PM
I think the main factor in how they were able to handle the situation is because of the strict regulations and how fast they take action towards the problem. Remember when the number of cases in China was increasing rapidly, especially in Wuhan, they immediately implemented a hard lockdown and they were able to build a facility within days for the patients. Cooperation of their people also helped, but I think the government and medical staff really gave their all in fighting the virus.

The money and power also play a role since they are a rich country, they can easily build a big facility for COVID patients and can manufacture equipment they will need. Unfortunately, not all country has that kind of power to do what China did. In my country, the fund is not enough to help everyone affected by the virus, what more in building facilities and providing tools and equipment. Also, my country is increasing its debt just to the so-called "fighting against the virus" yet nothing is going well, daily cases are still increasing. Aside from the financial capability of a country to fight this pandemic, not all government is as competent like in China.

Some update on COVID-19...

https://newsinfo.inquirer.net/1295807/confidence-complacency-led-to-spike-in-covid-19-cases-in-cebu

https://newsinfo.inquirer.net/1295783/duterte-orders-cimatu-to-oversee-covid-19-response-in-cebu-city

858  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A lot of Americans still don't know what Bitcoin is on: June 28, 2020, 11:29:46 AM
Actually, it's not that surprising. I don't expect that majority of them already know about Bitcoin. Even if Bitcoin is starting to gain attention in some Americans, it doesn't mean that most people you will encounter already have an idea of what it is. The percentage of the recognition of Bitcoin is still lesser compared to the whole population in America.

We should not expect much nor rush things when it comes to bitcoin and crypto adoption because we are still at the beginning of it. If that already surprised you, what more in other countries? But I think, asking them for crypto payments can be a contribution since they might consider looking about bitcoin and ethereum.
859  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Filipino scammers on: June 28, 2020, 07:37:02 AM

860  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Blockchain a Good Career? on: June 28, 2020, 07:10:52 AM
Of course, it will be in demand especially in the future. Blockchain requires deep knowledge and skills about it, so when the time comes that blockchain adoption becomes more popular, blockchain-related courses and professions will be more popular and could possibly one of the high-earning jobs.

That's why I also believe that blockchain technology should be widely taught in the Academy because it can be the future. As I've noticed in my country, there is still a lack of blockchain courses and lessons in schools, and I strongly believe that knowledge about blockchain should be strengthened because sooner, more entities will start adopting blockchain.
