941  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PAGCOR waiting for the approval to reopen land-based casinos. on: June 09, 2020, 11:45:56 AM
PAGCOR wants to reopen casinos later within this month or either next month to generate business revenue and employees can go back to work. For almost three months of the closure of land-based casinos, companies had no choice but to lay off 7,600 employees. Even Okada Casino will lay off 1,000 employees because of revenue losses.

Now to prevent more layoffs,  PAGCOR, and most business operators are preparing for the reopening, they will ensure that they will strictly implement the government's protocol to keep social distancing and the safety of employees and customers.

It may be a problem for other people because it will be risky to open casinos during the pandemic but it is said that 132,000 employees will benefit once they reopen casino operations. Let's just hope that once they will finally open, it won't cause more positive cases in the country.

942  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 21 Best Cryptocurrency to buy in 2020 on: June 09, 2020, 11:04:45 AM
Actually, we only need to choose the top coins in the coin market and of course with the top altcoin we can hold for a long time so we need to worry about the risk of being shitcoin so I prefer the top 10 coins.

Of course Bitcoin will be my grip for the future.
Just like you, bitcoin is also my priority in investing here in crypto and there's no doubt that this coin will be more valuable in the next coming years. There are plenty of shitcoins in the market and we need to avoid that kind of coin because they won't bring any income to us. And about the list OP provided, it seems that I only have 1 coin there which is the Ethereum, the rest of the list is new to me. I also don't see Binance coin which is also a good coin with a promising future in the market for me. But I know that we have a different perspective when it comes to our cryptocurrency investment but never forget bitcoin in your portfolio.

I am not interested in investing in altcoin, except ETH and BNB, both tokens are tokens that are quite popular and worth investing, but if I calculate the amount of funds, I spend 70% of my funds to invest in BTC, there aren't many benefits that I get , but a little risk that I will get.
not to invest in altcoins is a very stupid strategy. if you will learn how to trade altcoins and do project analysis correctly, then you can earn 10-20-30 percent profit per day.
Not all of us are a good trader and not even good at analyzing projects that's why some are only sticking with the top altcoins like Binance and Ethereum or they are already tired of doing it because of scam projects out there. But, if you are really good at it, there's no doubt that you can really make a good profit per day
943  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Stay away from YouTube Giveaways on: June 09, 2020, 07:24:48 AM
Scammers and fraudsters will use a popular platform to scam more people, and it's nothing new. It's just disappointing that a lot of people fall for these scams, and no one is even telling them or advising them to be careful about giveaways. This is not just about being greedy because who wouldn not want to win something right? But newbies are more prone to this kind of scam because they still lack knowledge.

That's why I don't really believe with YouTube giveaways or even other giveaways that easily without checking if it's a legit one or not. But just like what they said, we cannot inform everyone or tell them one by one to be careful about it so it's better to report suspicious giveaways than doing nothing.
944  Economy / Economics / Re: Even More Evidence of Coronavirus as Financial Reset on: June 09, 2020, 06:16:56 AM
But according to this article that it is not really the main solution or vaccine for the virus.

Quote
More than 11,000 patients with Covid-19 are taking part, with 1,542 patients given hydroxychloroquine.

Due to mounting controversy about the drug, the UK's drug regulator last night asked the Oxford researchers to review their data.

The results showed 25.7% of people taking hydroxychloroquine had died after 28 days. This compared with 23.5% who were given standard hospital treatment.

There is no assurance that this medicine will treat COVID patients. If this medicine worked with other patients, there are also patients who tested this drug but didn't work out. So they can't just let everyone use this as a treatment because it will put all patients at risk with no 100% assurance that they will get treated when they intake this drug.

HCQ is being used even before to treat other illnesses but COVID-19 is new so they can't just let the patients use it without further study on how this will help to stop the pandemic.
945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UK rules will hit loot boxes games hard - as they’re turning kids into gamblers. on: June 08, 2020, 02:43:59 PM
I don't consider this as gambling because the players or the kids don't earn any money as a reward whenever they will spend money on that game. Because for me, gambling is risking something valuable in exchange for getting something valuable. But since they reward they will get will only be useful in that game, I don't think it's gambling. I mean a lot of games also offer rewards if you will spend money on that game.

But if this game is mostly for kids and minors, I don't think they should also require such offers like that because where do kids get the money? However, I also understand that the government is just trying to protect the kids in any future harm if this game is really addicting. Parents also play an important role and they should be the first ones to guide and monitor their children when using gadgets.
946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good time to buy some alt? on: June 08, 2020, 01:48:27 PM
This is not a very good time to enter the market. Cause market already pumped a bit. Many altcoins give already huge amount of profit. If you have enough knowledge about the market activities then it's fine. You can make profit from market cause alt season is running. But if you don't know whhich coin or where to invest stay with high cap coin or bitcoin. And watch the market carefully. And whatever you do, do some research on your own first.
Basically, it's a good strategy to stick with top-performing altcoins or in bitcoin, especially if you're still a newbie. During the time I started in the crypto world, I stick with bitcoin then also started to invest in other cryptocurrencies in the market. Today is still a good opportunity to buy altcoins especially those who have established good performance in the market. It is always advisable to conduct further research whenever we are planning to invest in any cryptocurrencies. Unlike in the past quarter where bitcoin reaches 4000$, we are now seeing a rapid growth of the market that is why I think it's the proper time to buy more altcoins because, in the next few quarters, I believe that the market will grow even more.

Probably, the majority of us are still buying strong performing altcoins such as Ethereum and Binance coin, as well as searching for new altcoins with a good future in the market. But the best thing to do is to learn how to become a good trader and analyze the market since it will help you to determine what coins have the chance to pump or get dumped in the future.
947  Economy / Economics / Re: What opportunity costs will governments take. on: June 08, 2020, 11:46:36 AM
But the question is, what options does the government have to fix or even handle this pandemic? How many options do they have, and what is the best one among the others? For me, it's really hard to speak about the best alternative since this pandemic is a big issue and it's not easy to handle. Even the government is having a hard fine to evaluate and make decisions because it includes the whole citizen of a country that may suffer from the option they choose.

Most government is now trying to slowly reopen businesses to avoid further economic recession, but they should have also given time for health care to ensure that these people going back to work will be safe and get treated in case they will get infected.
948  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Beware of Gcash Scammers on: June 08, 2020, 10:20:02 AM

949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling operations begin in Latvia on June 9, & in UK it’ll begin on July 4th. on: June 08, 2020, 09:45:07 AM
For me, it's okay for countries with a low number of COVID cases to reopen businesses such as land-based casinos cause I believe they can handle it when they reopen. Though I understand that countries can't stop everything for months because of the economy, but those who countries who are facing so much struggle with the pandemic, it will be such a big risk to reopen non-essential businesses.

If casinos really need to open their business and employees need to go to work, it's up to the gamblers if they want to risk their health just to gamble or not. Once they open casinos, no one will force them to gamble or not, so if it's okay for them to go to a land-based casino, they just need to be extra careful with the environment and people around them.
950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A day to celebrate and pay tribute to casinos? on: June 07, 2020, 01:47:11 PM
I don't think they really cared for every customer they have since what is important for them is money. There's nothing to be thankful or give some empathy towards them because that's just how it works. Rather than them, I think we are the ones who give benefits to casinos because they are gaining income because of gamblers, not us. Curses and criticism are normal especially when gamblers are getting pissed from continuously losing. Why is it needed to give empathy? Do they give empathy to their customers? I mean, do they care if their customers become addicted to gambling?

Business and customer relationship is purely giving what each other's need to satisfy them. You give them money, they give you entertainment and a small prize. They can celebrate from achieving something or being a successful business, but not that we are the ones who should make a celebration for them.
951  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The next 10x altcoins ?..... on: June 07, 2020, 10:57:20 AM
You guys keep spamming topics with this subject.

I was just curious to know the views...I am not spamming nor buying any more crypto at least for now...whatever I have was bought 2 yrs back in bear market....So chill Grin
There’s a lot of topic like this, and many keeps on asking the same question all over again so if you really want to know the answer do your research here.
This kind of question will never end because they will keep on asking it until they get the answer they really want. You really got the point @samcrypto, the only answer to this question is doing deep research about a certain cryptocurrency. I know for the fact that some of us are lazy in doing research that's why there are people who end up encountering scam projects. In addition, there are plenty of altcoins in the market that somehow have the potential to grow x10 in the next bull but most of the time the top altcoins have the biggest chances to get it. OP, I want to ask what coin did you buy 2 years ago?

We never know what coin will pump up to 10x because of this volatile market, but for me, I will go with the strong altcoin on the market.
952  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Vlogs on how to earn in Bitcointalk on: June 07, 2020, 09:58:53 AM

I will add him once na naging active na ulit dito sa forum at sa local kahit based sa post history nya 2019 pa last post nya.
953  Economy / Economics / Re: COVID-19 Impact on the Indian Economy on: June 07, 2020, 09:14:29 AM
Almost all countries are affected by this virus, what more in India since it has the most number of cases of COVID-19 in Asia, and it's really affecting the country's economy.  Most countries with high cases are also struggling with unemployment due to the lockdown and closing of businesses. But as far as I have seen, even when most businesses are closed, cases are still increasing so it means that it's not enough to deal with the pandemic.

After months of lockdown, some businesses are now starting to reopen to get back what they have lost which is we are still not sure if it will be a good idea or not. They are reopening businesses since the longer most businesses are not functioning, the economy might crash. But there is still a risk that once most businesses are opened, cases might increase more. We also have to adapt to the new normal while COVID is still there and wait until the vaccine is available to fully recover from all of the losses.

954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: June 06, 2020, 01:50:55 PM
With that move, I don't think it will be the end of the pandemic, rather it will only lead to more cases or a second wave. Opening flights and nonessential businesses are already a risk though I understand if they are worried about their economy. But would not it be more threatening since they are opening businesses that fast even though there is still a high number of cases?

Even if we say that they will provide strict protocols, it does not give assurance that no one will get infected by COVID. Will they decrease the limit of passengers on every flight? The more they quickly open nonessential businesses, they are just endangering the health of their people. They don't have to hurry opening casinos, because there are also other businesses that can help the economy, not just casinos. It's not that I don't want casinos to open, but they should also look at the current status of their country when it comes to the pandemic. I just hope they will think carefully about this because they are putting risk on everyone.

955  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin vs. Gold: which has been more of a safe-haven asset in 2020? on: June 06, 2020, 11:28:18 AM
I will agree with @barnabe, if it's about security money for long-term, gold is definitely safer than bitcoin. I personally think that choosing between the two is based on what is your purpose of investing. Within just half a year, a lot of unexpected things already happened like this pandemic. And we are still not sure what will happen next, so if you are planning on a long-run investment just to secure funds, for me it's gold. But if you will be investing for the purpose of potential profit, bitcoin is better because of its volatility.

I think this topic of which is better as a safe haven has been discussed here in the forum for a lot of time. But for me, it's really not necessary to compare Bitcoin and gold because they are different from each other. The answer to this will still vary from different perspectives
956  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "NEW NORMAL" Betting on: June 06, 2020, 10:41:23 AM
I usually read the word "boring" because of the covid19 but we can't do anything with it. And let the boredom strike us as long as we're safely staying at our homes and those athletes and teams that we're longing to see to get back again in action so we can bet.

I have no problem to wait until everything goes back in normal or even in this new normal. As long as the players, athletes and staffs are safe first. It's a serious fight against the virus and good to see that some matches are coming back soon so let's all be happy with that.
Indeed. It may be boring for us, but we really need to understand the situation and it's not us who will be at risk when sports events will resume in the middle of the pandemic, it's the athletes and other people organizing an event. And we also have to accept and understand those "new normal" to be implemented if we really want sports betting to continue because it's for their own safety. We still have the option, if we don't want to adapt to the new normal betting, then we can just wait until this pandemic is gone before we can gamble. But if you can't wait longer, let's be thankful that slowly some sports events are resuming again.

For sports bettors who really love games, it will be hard for them to wait enough longer since they have already waited for a long time. If they can implement strict protocols and received the approval of the authorities, then they can reopen again, I also believe that safety comes first.

957  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [UPDATED]Watchlist for Active Filipino Posters/Campaigners on: June 06, 2020, 09:31:09 AM
Pwede mo din check posts history nila to verify.

Why not utilize the list here? Marami pa active dyan.

Thank you @Bttzed03 and na check ko naman na yung profile nila and may post talaga dito sa local board natin and yung Flighty inamin nya na filipino sya. I will add them right away.

I just found a very slight mistake sa row ni julerz12 doon sa column ng availability niya.

It should be "Currently in campaign", right?  Since he's currently participating sa Roobet. Not much of a help LOL  Grin. To add marami rin sa mga supposedly pinoy thread (tulad nito) outside this local na nag-popost sila, the thing is, am not quite sure if Pinoy sila or baka hindi lang talaga sila nag-popost dito sa board natin.

Am not sure about these guys:

Just a quick skim lang not sure sa judgment ko pero sa tingin ko pinoy sila. Double check mo/niyo na lang to validate.
Akin ng babaguhin ang availability ni julerz12 and thank you dahil napansin mo. Titignan ko rin yang thread na binigay mo and tingin ko rin naman pinoy yung 2 user na sinabi dahil may mga post sila dito sa local. Then. I will also add them in the list.

958  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: UPDATED : List of Potential Tradable Bounty Campaign . on: June 06, 2020, 08:05:57 AM

959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PAGCOR waiting for the approval to reopen land-based casinos. on: June 05, 2020, 03:13:23 PM
I'm pretty sure that you are aware that I do love to play in land base casino, My urge to go to land base casino in this lock down and how I fight it. And my favorite place to play is Resorts World and City of Dreams. So I'm really excited if Pagcor will allow those two big casino's to open up in this new norm.

So it's going to be a big dilemma to me, should I go and play or think of my safety first? So we will see, if this will push through then I have to fight this feeling again as a value more of my health and I'm afraid to get infected. So probably I will pass, LOL.
Well if the IATF allowed the reopening of land-based casinos, then it's up to the casino operators whether to open immediately or not. But of course, they also need to imply strict safety protocols to ensure that everyone in the facility is safe. I guess they will only allow casinos if they will provide information on how they will apply the protocols for the new normal. And deciding whether to gamble or not is still yours at the end of the day, just make sure you'll be extra careful because going outside is already a risk.

Within two days, the number of covid 19 cases here in the Philippines climbed by 1000 making a total of 20000+. That's absolutely disturbing because it seems that we are not flattening the curve at all. Just an update.

Despite of this, I hope IATF still give permit for land based casinos to continue their business. I know that the situation might get even worse by reopening such non essential sectors but let us put in our consideration that our nation's coffers are depleting fast. Tax revenue from such industries could help a lot. Here is an article you can read to give you estimated numbers (sorry I can't find a more updated one). As long as they will strictly comply on the safety protocols, they can eliminate the spread of the virus.

The disappointing part right here just that the government are not focussing on the pandemic and focus on other things.
Indeed. Actually I'm worrying a little bit with regards to protesters who conduct rallies recently promoting to junk Anti Terror Bill. Well I agree with their vision but, please for God's sake, not in the times of pandemic. I think government should postponed this bill for the meantime in order to calm those protesters and avoid mass gatherings Undecided.
There is no doubt that they will consider this proposal because we can't remove the fact that casinos also plays a big role in the economy. Not just from tax revenue, but also hundreds of employees are affected by this, so we'll just see what will they do about this.

They should really focus on the more important matter compared to this terror bill because people won't stop protesting unless they will not pass this bill. The more people protest outside, the more chances that this virus will just continue to increase, and it's threatening.

I have made a new update on this thread and added some users to the list. Hoping to see more active ph users here in the forum.

~snip
I already added Inthelongrun in the list and sana maging active na sya ulit dito sa local at sa forum.

It looks like a member rank is not that active, di na kase ganoon kaganda ang opportunity para sa mga member pero sana mas marami pang campaign ang tumanggap ng member. I’m still waiting for my chance to work with the campaign, this thread is a good watchlist para sa mga active users that are connected to the active campaigns.

Thank you mga kabayan!!!!
