No collateral, no loan. Identification documents, paycheck receipts, proof of income, and written or verbal contracts promising to pay are worthless to a lender. There are no documents you can provide that will secure your loan request. All forms of identification and documentation can easily be forged or faked, and no lender here has the ability to authenticate anyone's identity. The prevailing theory is that no one would willingly disclose their personal information to a stranger on the internet for a few hundred dollars, unless of course it's not their identity to begin with. Honest or not, such a request will appear to be a scam attempt. |

I decided to update these instructions to include the latest version of Electrum due to a significant security update in version 4.4.6. I also decided to make the instructions easier on those who prefer to remain logged in as mere mortals, and I noticed that libsecp256k1-dev is required on a fresh OS. I neglected to notice when I came up with this method because I had already installed libsecp256k1-dev when I tried the old method first. - Added "sudo" to the commands that require elevated privileges
- Added "libsecp256k1-dev" to the required dependencies
- Leveraged the included desktop file instead of creating a new one
- Added instructions to clean unneeded files
- Highlighted instructions for upgrades

I distrusted you yesterday, so I can only imagine you're referring to me. It certainly wasn't because I want to silence competitors. If I cared that much about lending business, I wouldn't have let my thread dwindle down to the second page of the lending board.
