Hey, what happened to my retaliatory red-tags?  I was trying to build my collection and those were really good ones.  I especially like the one where you claimed I tried to extort money from you with a RickRoll!  Comedy Gold, that was.

Anyway; to those of you are giving credence to this troll's allegations against LoyceV and The Pharmacist, please see a neurologist.  I can tell you without any hesitation that LoyceV is not an American and despite his mastery of the English language, it's obvious to me that it's not his native tongue.  I also have no hesitation in saying that The Pharmacist is a native English speaker, and an American.  They are not the same person, so stop taking this trolls word for anything.  And for the love of god, stop feeding him.
1182  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Wasabi blacklisting update - open letter / 24 questions discussion thread on: July 23, 2022, 01:24:03 PM

That's what I was thinking!  Two ticktock videos, 17 seconds of my life invested, and absolutely no twerking?!?  What is this world coming to? [/sarcasm]

Ticktock isn't a social media app, it's a CCP surveillance app.  Any and all infringements on your privacy while using the app are specifically by design.  That's probably why the version Ticktock that's available in China is used completely differently, for example: https://video.foxnews.com/v/6309696840112#sp=show-clips

But I do get your point, a privacy wallet that's so out-of-touch, they think they'll find clients by advertising to those who have no clue how to secure their own privacy.
1183  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: July 21, 2022, 02:18:34 AM

It's been obvious since February!  Leave it to the 9ers PR team to pick the slowest football-news day of the year to remind us of what we've known for months, lol.  As if they haven't been seeking a trade since before he opted for surgery.  Everybody knows that Shanahan is ready to move on.  And lets not forget that Kyle runs the joint.

I want to be clear; I love that Shanahan is our coach because he's a great strategist and he's very smart in football terms and in general.  But the best thing he's been able to do is get Jed York to STFU!  Finally we have a coach that the owner trusts to run things, because the owner is a dumbass.

However, for all the criticism I've laid at the feet of Garoppolo, I lay twice as much at Kyle's.  He's the one that choked in the fourth quarter of that fucking SB loss, even though the film makes it looked like Jimmy G did.  Look past what Garoppolo did, and look at the plays that were called.  The one criticism I have for Shanahan is that when the game is on the line; grow a pair.

Or make sure to "borrow" them from your wife's purse on Super Bowl Sunday.  I've been married, I know how shit works.
1184  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum 4.2.2 Released on: July 20, 2022, 11:58:09 PM
Thanks, guys, for your fast reply. My Electrum wallet only opens on the USB Drive in Linux. So I will try to download the Linux upgrade directly on the USB drive and transfer the file to the Electrum wallet. Hope I understand this correctly?  Undecided

If I were you, I'd copy the wallet files onto the off-line computer, then format the USB drive before you plug it into an on-line computer.  Once plugged into the online computer you can download and verify the electrum appimage file, and save it on the USB drive.  Now you can transfer the new version to the off-line machine to manage your wallets.

I imagine you have an off-line computer so that you never have to subject your cold wallet to the internet.  If so, even plugging in a USB stick containing a cold wallet into an on-line PC is not recommended, and easily avoided.
1185  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Regarding Daniel Evans on: July 20, 2022, 08:27:52 PM
Daniel Evans is the Owner of Bustabit and Bustadice
To be muted means to be unable to speak, privately or publicly.
Thank God you explained. I had no idea what you were talking about until I read it 🤣

I thought that comment was pretty funny too, since I was reading it on a public forum, but he did go on to explain that he was banned from Bustabit's chat box...

Alleged injustice of being muted in a casino trollbox?  Grin

Lol, yeah.  If he was as charming in the casino's chat room as he's been here, then I can't imagine why he would be blocked.  Wink

when funds are safeguarded on their bot, you no longer have access as you are unable to speak with the bot privately to !withdraw

I still don't get this.  If they have your money then you should be able to get it out by contacting their tech support, even if they've banned you, right?  Is this money that you deposited?

This negativity is on par with Bustabit and I'm not going to tolerate it.

This is no place for the thin-skinned.  If you come here to complain about one of the oldest crypto casinos, one that has supported this community for quite some time, and can't handle a bit of scrutiny when you present no evidence, then maybe this isn't the place for you.
1186  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Nano S Plus alternatives? on: July 20, 2022, 05:20:55 PM
Sorry for the hot take, but if you can't afford the BitBox02 or Trezor Model T, something's not working out with those alt trades. If you can't make $200 in a reasonable amount of time with your alts, I'd personally recommend sticking to BTC..
Lol, I was thinking the same thing.  I wanted to be easy on the OP and not berate him for shitcoining.  Still, your post is just diplomatic enough to get the point across without going overboard deriding shitcoins.  Some alts have there uses, i.e Monero and hopefully, eventually, Grin.  Some might be useful if you want to try your had at swing trading, but I don't know of any that worth holding.
I'm not an expert on alts, but most of the time someone mentions one, I check the price history against BTC and they almost always look terrible as a store of value. In this case, Monero seems to be quite okay, but Grin lost against Bitcoin consistently basically since its inception, from what I can tell.

As a store of value, yes I agree that Grin is yet another disappointment.  I only mentioned it along with Monero for it's privacy features.  I haven't messed with Grin for about two years now, so I honestly don't know what they've been up to recently.  As far as I can tell, Monero is still the go-to coin for private transactions.

I also agree that Monero has held it's own as far as a store of value, but I don't hold any XMR for extended periods of time.  I can't think of a single other alt that even comes close to bitcoin's superiority in that regard.  With Segwit and now Taproot making transactions smaller and lighter, I tend to think that even Lighting's days are numbered.

Something Hal Finney wrote once does keep popping up in my mind, however.  Once he suggested that eventually each "bank" would create it's own stable coin that runs on a chain with fast confirmations, and it would all be backed by hodling bitcoin.  If Binance and Coinbase weren't so anti-bitcoin I could almost see BNB or USDC fitting the bill.
1187  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Regarding Daniel Evans on: July 20, 2022, 01:45:20 PM
An injustice is occurring frequently and all you care about, is over-analysing user profiles?

I don't get bent out of shape about multi-accounts unless they're being used for cheating or violating the forum's rules, but you'll have to forgive the others for their suspicions.  Most (not all) of the time folks have multiple accounts is for nefarious reasons.  Even though I'm not convinced that you are being honest that this is first account here, I tend to agree with your comment; an alleged injustice may have occurred, that should be the primary focus.

Furthermore, your presentation comes off as confrontational right from the get-go.  One of the reasons I was confused is because your OP sounds as if this has been an ongoing drama of which we've all been aware.  That may be the reason you raised suspicion from others.

If you want to be taken seriously I have a suggestion; use the standard scam reporting template, and provide as much detail as possible.  Include screenshots, if you have them.  You won't be able to post images, but you can post links to the images.  If someone feels the images are of value they may quote you to make your images visible here in this thread.

Here's the template for a typical scam accusation:
Code:
[b][color=black]What happened:: [/color][/b]

[b][color=black]Scammers Profile Link: [/color][/b]

[b][color=black]Reference Link: [/color][/b]

I'm having trouble following this.  Maybe just start with the basics, like who is Daniel Evans?  What casino are you talking about?  What does it mean to be "muted" by a casino?  And, are you saying you're being forced to place a $3 million wager in his casino?  Why?
1189  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Coinkite ColdCard Mk4 Review on: July 20, 2022, 01:51:24 AM
It's interesting that they are still claiming on their website that the source code is verifiable and open-source. Is it just the firmware that is closed-source or is everything else close-source?

I'm no technical guru, but as far as I know dkbit98 is correct, the difference is in the licensing; i.e. whether it can be reproduced and distributed, or not.

The firmware and the hardware are open for review:
Firmware: https://github.com/coldcard/firmware
Hardware: https://github.com/Coldcard/firmware/tree/master/hardware
1190  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Want to exchange BTCX airdrop coins for USDT on: July 19, 2022, 07:52:19 PM
Yeah, there's a new exchange called btc6x that launched their airdrop back in December, I got mine and never used it since I never intended to be a trader. Though I realise I can get its value out by exchanging it here

I seriously doubt anyone here is going to pay you $100 for a shitcoin that's locked on a shitexchange that's very likely faking trade volume to make it look like their shitcoin is worth something.  Odds are, like most of these scammers, they're trying to get as much bitcoin for their shitcoin as possible before they fold, and move on to the next scam.

Do yourself a favor; lock this thread and pretend like that airdrop never happened.
1191  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Wasabi blacklisting update - open letter / 24 questions discussion thread on: July 19, 2022, 02:05:14 AM
That's not a dependency on coins, but a dependency on the exchange that sells the coins to you.

After all, you're not sending an obfuscated Monero transaction, but a regular one that has a bunch of dummy inputs baked in. Authorities that know the source and destination exchange should not have any trouble following the link from source to destination (and hence find your new BTC coins).

I use a p2p exchange that leaves a light footprint, but it's certainly not infallible.  Regardless, if they want go through all that trouble just to find out that I pay my taxes, at least I didn't make it easy on them.   Tongue

You can pair Sparrow Wallet with Bitcoin Core directly; however, this type of connection, from my own experience, appears to be very unstable, and often it is very difficult to identify what's wrong. Of course, like in the case of Electrum wallet, you can use one of the public servers or one of the "trusted" ones that were chosen by Sparrow wallet devs, but it is always recommended to spin up your own Electrum server with the easiest option being Electrum Personal server, especially if you're a Windows user. The other options, such as Electrs, require tinkering with software or hardware and considerable disk space.

Thanks for the heads up.  I'm not in a hurry, but I did get around to downloading it and checking the signature.  I do have a couple of nodes under the staircase, both running electrumx, so I can point it there if it gives me trouble.  I also have an unpruned QT running on my main PC that I use as a hot wallet most of the time, so I might try it connected directly to that first.

By using Monero you may break the link between past and future transactions, but essentially you are merely swapping your transaction history with other users like in the case of CoinSwap.

That's the point.  If I'm converting my coins on a regular basis, in varying amounts, with multiple people I'll get bitcoin with diverse history.  Some form exchanges, some from other p2p, some from "tainted" UTXOs.  I don't really care what that history is, as long as it's diverse enough that even multiple transactions with a single individual are random enough to appear to be exactly what they are; me obfuscating the origin of my coins for privacy reasons.

At least, those users promoting Wasabi Wallet will know for sure that they are getting paid with clean, carefully filtered coins that will never be blocked by regulated entities. sarcasm

I got your meaning without the tiny hint, but I don't begrudge people for picking up a slot on Wasabi's campaign.

We don't know which blockchain analysis company Wasabi has partnered with and there are several of them. What if the bitcoins are considered free of taint by some institutions and centralized exchanges based on the info they are given by one anal company, but at the same time a different anal company considers some of those coins as dirty and send out different signals to their partners? Unless all blockchain analysis companies cooperate in terms of what is tainted and what isn't, I would expect that they show different results and taint scores.

I'd like to know which provider or method or algorithm any "legitimate" exchange is using to determine what's tainted or not.  If they're going to operate in this space shouldn't they at least be transparent with that?

All this operation appears to be decoy tactics, while in background they needed to buy some time while moving from Gibraltar to Seychelles.

Lol, this is some 007 shit.  If it wasn't you posting it I would think it was a joke.  If this turns out to be true these bitches will be my new heroes.

I'm not following; is this about Jack Dorsey? I honestly have no idea about him except being Twitter CEO and Square founder.

Yeah, that's him.  Not a fan, as you can tell.  Sorry to start slinging mud in this thread, but HE started it.  Tongue

Square just invented shared self-custody.

Brilliant.  I think you just coined the term for the next generation of Hardware Wallet Shysters.
1195  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bisq - Exchange, Decentralized. on: July 18, 2022, 09:33:27 PM
I would like to see more people using Bisq, and not considering it as some complicated boogeyman exchange.

I would too.  It's interesting that I don't see much advertising done by Bisq.  I guess since it's not really a "business" in the traditional sense of the word, the expectation is that it'll grow organically by word-of-mouth advertising.  I've been doing my part, lol.

I played around with Bisq some years ago, but never really used the service in earnest until around 8 or 9 months ago.  Since then it's been my favorite ('hehem, to borrow n0nce's term) on/off-ramp.  But it's also my favorite way to exchange BTC/XMR.

Bisq is currently available for desktop os (with mobile notifications), but it would be cool to have some basic mobile exchange version as well.

I'm in front of a PC most of the day, so I likely wouldn't get much use out of a mobile app, but I agree that would help draw more users.

Jimmy G just isn’t that good. He’s a solid game manager, but there’s a reason they drafted Lance as high as they did. Yea he got them to the super bowl but it was much more so because of the team around him and not because of him. His upside is just very limited. Alex Smith is a former QB who’s a good comparable comp. The Chiefs moved on from him too because of Mahomes (look how that turned out).

I read some comments from Steve Young today where he thinks the 9ers are definitely ready to move on.  He doesn't see things transpiring like they did when he and Montana were the two QBs vying for playing time.

& no, Zach Wilson is absolutely NOT a good bet for MVP. If whomever said that was being serious, wow lol. (Likely they were not).

I'm sure that was a joke based on his prowess with older women, (or one specific older woman.)

This aged well

Lol!  One man's cougar is another man's "robbing the cradle."  Getting old sux.  Grin
1198  Economy / Reputation / Re: Chahan is trying to falsely accuse me of scamming on: July 18, 2022, 02:14:01 AM
Why don't you write about scam to other users in the exchange section? Some sell their empty token, which is never even listed. All information on the price of UST is in the public domain and is not hidden by anyone. Anyone can seek to exchange any token at any price. Whoever is interested, he will write about the exchange. And there is no scam

Quit your deception and subsequent gaslighting.  Everyone knows you're fishing for sucker, and you've been doing it for months.

Amount Scammed: 100 usdt

This makes it sound like you actually got scammed, but I can see from the reference thread that you didn't fall for it, nor did anyone else.  Just for accuracy sake, I would revise that to "attempted to scam."  It's been clear for weeks that he's been representing his 100 shitcoins as equal to 100 of some other shitcoin.

PSA; anyone who cares to can create a type1 flag.
