181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Kambosos - May 12 IBF Lightweight Title on: March 08, 2024, 03:20:22 PM
I think Loma is already in the biggest and easiest money first type of fights. He already ducked Shakur for the vacant WBC. I cannot blame him though as he is already old and is past his prime. Kambosos is easier and maybe bigger money too than the boring and very technical Shakur. Loma also mentioned before that 135 is his limit so 140 could be out of the picture especially at this stage of his career.
Good for him, at least he is not forcing to climb to chase and get revenge. He could stay in this division and be an undisputed champion; that way, he'll have a very impressive legacy once he decides to retire. He is already 36 years old, so he is nearing the twilight of his career, but there's more he can accomplish by staying. Great decision for the veteran fighter.

He will have to stay in this division though, his going to be very small at 140 lbs. And that's what more thing about Loma now, he might be slowing because of his age and that's why we've seen him lost close fight as he started slow, unlike before when he was that Hi-Tech that we know.

I'm not sure if he has duck Shakur, but I do agree that this could be a easy fight for him for the belt. Kambosos might be young but I don't think that he is heavy handed or very much bigger that Loma. All Kambosos have is that this fight is in home turf.

Yes, prime Loma should've started strong early on, quicker and faster to adopt to his opponents' styles. Now I even have doubts on Loma still wanting to become an undisputed champion. I always see Shakur as the better version of Haney and at this stage of their careers he will clearly beat Loma by decision.

As for this title fight of Loma, he can showcase what's left in him. He still needs to perform and dominate the fight because he might be in danger of losing another controversial decision in the backyard of Kambosos.

Lots of speculation at this stage about Loma's next possible fight, that's a big disrespect to Kambosos who is trying to be at the top again. Let's take it one step at a time, Shakur is great, no question about that but Loma still has something to offer, and I think if he will ever face Shakur, he has s shot of winning like what he did to Haney which ended in a controversial decision by the way.

Loma vs Kambosos, this is the fight to discuss now, after this, we can proceed on our individual speculations.
182  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The best decision you can take on: March 08, 2024, 01:02:54 PM
There’s no reason to go into Trading when you are not sure of the market I haven’t seen someone doing this for a long time something that you are not sure of you know that the market is not going to be favorable to you and you still go into market that is wrong, so I don’t see anyone doing this Unless you are already on trading, and the market starts to go down in the other side, maybe someone introduced you to go into a new trades that you are not sure of that is a different case so that is no point for  someone going to market when you are not sure
There is no harm in trying, that is exactly where we/I start. But of course, we don't just think that we are trying but rather think that we can be a good trader.

Well, It is very understandable how volatile is the market which makes us think that trading is not easy. But sometimes we need to forget about it (hard/difficult), we go for a solution and the best thing possible we can do to minimize risk. That is why we need to exert effort in learning and spending time analyzing the market as this is the least possible thing we can do to have a successful trading journey.
183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Massive withdrawal of Bitcoin on: March 07, 2024, 09:47:53 PM
Well, this is expected but I'd never see it wrong as it was already a profitable price especially if you are buying at $40k as an example. I understand these people as they just securing their funds. In fact, holding is just an option but we are encouraged to do this. However, this couldn't force everyone to do the same as they are the ones controlling their funds. As long as they feel no regrets of doing this, then still it was a good choice for them.

Sell some (like 50%) and hold the other 50% for the next ATH. I see people are doing good this time, they are earning surely.
184  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Take Profits! Its important! on: March 07, 2024, 09:04:53 PM
It is impossible to sustain trading if we never earn some profit. We make this not to survive but to multiply our money.
Taking a profit at least $100 per week as our target may sound good. We can say it was just a small amount, well yeah but at least we earn some. We can't be too greedy here in trading. Having a chance to earn at least 2-3% from our capital in every placed order is big enough as we have to remind ourselves that we can't assume the price will continue to rise and stay high as we can't just set aside the possibility of a huge drop after the pump.
185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing at gambling on: March 07, 2024, 01:38:01 PM
When everything's going well, it's cool. But sometimes (often?) money problems lead to divorce. Suppose your spouse/husband gambles a lot, his or her loss/profit ratio is acceptable (so it's fine), but then one day he or she has bet it all and lost it all. You've got nothing left (and no savings either). What's your reaction? Has this ever happened to you?
I made same mistake in the past but that is one time only that all my month Salary plus my Christmas bonus have been risked and lose in gambling , my wife almost leave me that day lucky that Her parent interfere and give me second chance.
sometimes we must keep in mind that we are not solo in this world and there are others that need our support .
You were already addicted at that time, I'm glad you have been given a chance, others might end their marriage because of that mistake. After all we are just humans, we make mistake like losing money, but if that's the way to learn from our lessons, then that should be accepted fully as money can be earn in the future as long as we work hard for it.

Happy for you, I hope you are not anymore addicted with gambling now, as just like you, I also experience to be in the bad situation in the past where people hated me especially in my family because of gambling, but now that I'm able to control it, I can educate our relatives on how to be responsible.
186  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Isn't trading almost like gambling? on: March 06, 2024, 09:50:48 PM
In my opinion, the two involve taking risks, making assumptions, and hoping for a payment, but there are some significant distinctions, which are emotions. In gambling, people rely on luck and feelings, and it can lead to decisions that are more based on emotions than reasoning, whereas in trading, emotional control is very important to make sensible choices, and they must distinguish their emotions from trading to be able to make unbiased choices that are trading with a clear mind. And trading requires discipline and patient while gambling requires more tolerance, because it can be very addictive when you start gambling.
Well said...
Trading has no close comparison to gambling because we don't rely on luck but instead, we mostly rely on market analysis. But gambling goes and the chances are very clear that we have a big chance of losing than winning even if we have been doing this for many years. Unlike trading, where we have a chance to improve our analytic skills and knowledge which increases our chance to earn more. If we are emotionally weak before, it can be changed somehow when we are filled already with experience and additional courage. That is how our direction change but in gambling, it never change as it totally relies on luck rather than knowledge.
187  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does any meme coin has the ability to challenge bitcoin dominance ? on: March 06, 2024, 09:17:49 PM
Don't get it wrong OP nor get confused about the dominating power of Bitcoin in the crypto market. We don't base on the price to determine which one is dominating or top in the market but we base it on their function and role. Have we seen meme coins helping the community and giving functions? It was just the hype, nothing else but guess what, it was just in a short period because, after that, they will drop.

 - it is too far to compare meme coins to Bitcoin especially when we are talking about dominance. Let us just accept the fact that meme coins are just good during bull season while Bitcoin is good all the time.
188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 06, 2024, 03:42:30 PM
It's the system that gives each players that same chances to showcase their talents, lucky for Alperen that he's being sorrounded by players who can work with the system and a coach who really knows how to execute their design plays, I agree with you he's a superstar in the making, just need to take care of his health and hopefully not to suffer to any major injury, there are many opportunities if he continue to play harder.

This team is not expected to play like how they played this season. I think they'll improve more in the seasons to come. They are still young with an experience coach who promotes better team play than individual game, I would no be surprise if next season or the next, this team will become a playoff contender. They have a good PG, and this guy Brooks brings a lot of energy to the team, if they keep themselves healthy, they'll be able to help this team to grow.
I agree. Having a veteran like Dillon Brooks will help a lot in improving these young players. Houston Rockets is a blooming team, they may not join this playoff season but who knows what they can do in the future. They still have a chance though if they can win in the play-in tournament.
That's why the Rockets gave him a good contract despite the bad publicity about him... And the Rockets are getting what they paid for, he might not be able to provide the offense consistently to the team but the kind of defense he is making and the energy he is bringing, it's enough to make this young team a tough team to play with.

Alperen Sengun! I love how that guy plays. He ain't selfish and he can make impossible plays too. Just watching his highlights will make one think he is an All-Star caliber. Well, he will be someday. They just need to polish all their skills as a team and I bet they will be fearsome in the future.

He is still young, all he needs to do is to deliver his skills and stay healthy. Time will come, he will become as the star player of the team, and of course he'll get a max contract. The rockets are not paying much on their players, I think the player with the biggest paycheck on the team was VanVleet, so maybe the salary cap is still not at max.

Alperen is making over $3 million this season. Big increase if it will happen.

Anyway, what a game in Denver earlier. I thought the Nuggets could win that one because they came back from a 22-point lead deficit. The Suns, especially Kevin Durant was so hot in the first half that I thought it would be over in a blowout but the Nuggets pushed hard in both ends of the floor to take the lead. But KD made a three that put the game in overtime and that's where it ended even though they are Nurkic-less after fouling out in the 4th quarter. Still, that's one heck of a comeback from the Nuggets, could've been better if they won the game.

That game is very unpredictable, Nuggets were down big, they were able to comeback and even lead but the game went to OT. During OT, I was thinking they'll continue their momentum but turns out they ended losing in double figures.
189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Nery For Undisputed 122lbs Title - May on: March 06, 2024, 02:57:04 PM
So there is a official date for this fight and it's May 6. Maybe the OP can update the thread together with the odds.

Quote
Japanese star Naoya Inoue will defend his undisputed super bantamweight championship against Luis Nery at the Tokyo Dome in Japan on May 6. The 12-round bout, plus undercard action, will air on ESPN+ in the U.S.

https://www.sportingnews.com/us/boxing/news/naoya-inoue-vs-luis-nery-fight-date-time-odds-price-card/9c90c908d24d6fa83575f14e

And as expected it will be in Japan and Nery is free to fight in that country and they have lifted the ban obviously.

No surprised on the odds, Nery is a big 7:1 underdog.

The undercard will include Jason Moloney vs. Reymart Gaballo Yoshiki Take.

Finally there's already an official date. it's just sad that Gaballo has been scratch  as he was replaced. Well, I think we know that it's still going to be an obvious win for Inoue here as he has not experience slowing down yet, and I don't think Nery is capable enough to beat Inoue especially in his territoty.

I am not familiar with Yoshiki Take, but I pressume he is a Japanese and it's the Japanese people who are making it possible to have 2 boxers to represent the country in this particular fight. If Yoshiki Take will win, then there will be 2 Japanese champion in the bantamweight division.
190  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don't trust your old wallet of when u had no Crypto knowledge on: March 05, 2024, 09:07:34 PM
We can't afford to just waste our hard-earned money on storing our coins in an old wallet believing that it was already compromised. Therefore, we need to create a new one for security assurance, and at least, we are confident that nobody knows the keys/password. It is very important that we have to be more cautious when storing our keys and one big factor is to know how secure is the wallet we use and if we see any suspicious activities, it only means that there is something happening and already accessed by other people. And much more careful when using an old exchange wallet even if that was just for trading.
191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: March 05, 2024, 02:06:48 PM

I agree to that, discipline is the best definition of what he did to take care of his career and he really use that to continue his good career up to know, recieving huge amount of money though not that same level but he's name still up there and commercials and ads can still help the team to bring good benefits.

There are a lot of indiscipline star players that have not lasted their career in the NBA, but LeBron, you'll never hear news that he came partying and making some noise on social media. Instead, he focuses on helping people, building gyms and schools for the kids, so that alone shows how matured he is and kind in thinking of a way to give back to the community.

LeBron may not become a GOAT in the NBA as he always has a lot of haters, but we can't argue that he'll always be remembered as one of the greats once he retires. You see, LeBron is already 39 years old, but if you look at his last 10 seasons in the NBA, his PPG average has never dropped to 25 below.

But not as impressive against boxers who are trying to challenge themselves by aiming to become a pound-for-pound champion. At this stage, Haney and Lopez are considered better than Loma. It's just that Loma gained popularity first because he is an exciting boxer, but not much has happened in his career. He became a champion, but it seems he will stay within his limits, so we can't compare him to champions who are risk takers.

As for the latest pound for pound ranking, he is not anymore at the top 10.

https://www.espn.ph/boxing/story/_/id/39192661/boxing-pound-pound-rankings-naoya-inoue-dmitry-bivol-jesse-rodriguez-pick-votes

I think it really hurt his career when he went on a long hiatus because of the war in his country. I know that he has his duties, no question about it. But when he come back it was a different Loma. Maybe the horrors of the war might have affected him mentally, who knows.

In the Haney fight, he try to make a comeback, just like in the Teo fight, but he fell short. He shouldn't be like feeling his opponents early and not let them gain confidence and him mounting a bounce back late in the rounds. So against Kambosos he shouldn't fall for that strategy again.

Probably, that's one of the reasons, but what happened has already happened. Loma just needs to accept that and still try to be his best as he chooses to continue his career. He is not done yet as he has another opportunity to prove to the world that he can still become a champion again and continue fighting, bringing that hype again.

I just wish that if he wins this, he could have another fight against a fighter that bookies would give a 50/50 chance, not like this one where he is the heavy favorite.
193  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Or Investing which one is better to focus on right now? on: March 04, 2024, 09:39:09 PM
We all know that We are in the bull run or bull market as they say and Bitcoin has reached its previous ATH and most traders don't know what will be the next move for BTC and some of these Altcoins are literally following the pump of BTC as well, as most are not genuinely pumping in their own accord.
We are totally in the bullish state of the market, you can see it, right? Perhaps, it was proven many times that when Bitcoin pumps, altcoins are going to follow as well. This is the most waited time in crypto and those who bought Bitcoin and potential altcoins 2 years ago are already x3 their money.
Quote
I want to know what guys do. Are some of you trading the market regardless or some of you are like me, investing and observing the market
Both holders and traders are making good profits this time. Though I do not often trade but based on my experience, bull season is a good time for trading and even if you are a newbie, you can really make some profit. I believe that expert traders are even more making money this time compared to casual investors especially those who just buy lately.
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Forget Bitcoin - Memecoins Like Pepe, FLOKI and Bonk Are the Big Gainers Now on: March 04, 2024, 08:46:15 PM
That is what you believe OP, everyone has an option and set of criteria.
Indeed, meme coins and some altcoins are more profitable during the bull season (just like this time) compared to Bitcoin and even ETH. That is why some investors prefer to invest in them over Bitcoin. There is nothing wrong with that decision IMO but yes, this is highly risky unless you are doing this several times. But if we consider long-term investing, this should not be our choice because meme coins and these hyped projects will just dump after the surge and less possible for its recovery, most of them have even died.

196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Previous ATH achieve before bull? on: March 01, 2024, 06:30:45 PM
Hey all have been hearing some people saying is bull run and some post over here have been saying we are not yet in bull run so I was mean to asked when exactly do we expect bull run if now is not yet the period. Then lastly does it mean we must achieved the previous ATH before we can say we have entered main bull run, since lots of people keeps saying bull run already started.
I was pushed to asked when exactly do expect the bull run?
Like I can see ETH and BNB doing very well..
The current situation is enough to say that we are bullish already. Maybe we could think about new ATH as surely this will appear in our mind but granting the 4-year cycle of the market, I'm not expecting a new ATH in ETH this year but that was possible next year. Even though we see an impressive market price growth of ETH and break the 2021 ATH, it doesn't mean that's it because we are not even sure if it will increase more next year. Have to think that market movement is unpredictable. We have nothing to expect this time other than seeing the market price increase that even shitcoins will pump just like in the past bull season.
197  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Looking for a particular VIP Signal group on: March 01, 2024, 02:52:39 PM
I wish I could help but with the difficulty of tracing people and signal groups that you are talking to, that is somewhat hopeless to find them.
Sorry for that bad experience but in the first place, if you have read in the forum talking about signal groups, you will find that they can't be trusted. Unfortunately, it is too late for that knowing that you already fall into the hands of scammers.
If I were, stop chasing those people and forget about it because no matter what you do, you can't take your money back. It could be sad but this is the reality of trusting strangers online, we are not sure if they will give us the help we want (or just scam us).
198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Kambosos - May 12 IBF Lightweight Title on: March 01, 2024, 01:46:41 PM
Loma cannot be too complacent about not getting a knockout win in Kambosos' country. Just to ensure a victory, he needs to KO him; otherwise, he might be surprised that he is very confident in the ring, thinking he'll win comfortably, but the judges saw it differently. Grin

People will never forget what they did to Pacman, and I hope it will not happen to Loma here since Kambosos has a similar style to Horn, who just loves to attack and throw a lot of punches. If judges count that and he survives the 12 rounds, unexpected things could happen. I'm pretty sure Loma's camp is well aware of that, so it's expected that their game plan is always ready to secure a clear victory.
I'm not sure if they have similar style, what I noticed though during the Jeff Horn vs Manny Pacquiao is that Jeff is a bigger fighter and so he bullish Manny that time and that is enough for the corrupt judges to see him winning. But in this fight, I don't think that George can bully Loma here. Loma is too technical and it might be a wrong strategy for him as I'm seeing that Loma will counter him with short left and right hand.
There's a difference in terms of size, maybe, but we can't deny that Kambosos's style is always aggressive. Well, if he does it to Haney, which I think is bigger than Loma, he can also do it with Loma and still survive every round. The real challenge for Loma here is how to knock out Kambosos, as he doesn't want to go to the judges' scorecards in a non-friendly venue.

Now, if I could ask, what would be next for Kambosos if he loses this fight? Would he rather retire or continue fighting against non-top boxers?
He can still fight, but I don't think that he will be given chances again to fight for the belt. But who knows, Bob Arum has this influence and his Top Rank has control of boxers in the lower weight. So maybe they can have George fight up and coming fighters for the money.
In that case, the amount of money he'll be earning will be lower compared to what he usually earn being a fighter who are close to the top. Let's just see the development after this fight in case he really would loss.
199  Economy / Speculation / Re: 60k possible before end of this month? on: February 29, 2024, 09:43:08 PM
60k possible before end of this month?

Quite possible I would say.  Wink

New question: 75k before end of March?
The price of Bitcoin had already reached it before we ended the month of February, it was such an impressive movement of Bitcoin. We are looking forward to keeping the momentum this March but can't assure it will be fast and easy, or it will move in sideways.

$75k is not impossible but I think it was not the time for a new ATH. Well, the situation is very interesting after surpassing $60k, we are even more grateful and optimistic but as I've said, we can't be fully confident that it will go straight high, we still expect some corrections and price drop. We better make it prepare and avoid FOMO.
200  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: HODL bitcoins, you can do it! Look at HODL camp map to build up strong hands on: February 29, 2024, 08:56:22 PM
In crypto industry feels like it's the only one way to win this game is to hodl
Focus on Bitcoin so you don't complicated things for yourself. As a newbie, if you don't take necessary steps at getting the clarifications, you might think that anything that answer crypto is worth holding. That is how problem starts and you will hate anything crypto with Bitcoin inclusive. So the right world in this thread is Bitcoin, buy and hold as that is the only way. If you hodl anything else, you might end up hold a bag of shitcoins... I hope you don't want that?
I still remember in my early days in the crypto space I bought some cheap coins and hold thinking that when the bull season comes it will pump and give me a huge ROI. Unfortunately, after several years of holding, I'd never see it comes, not even until now and I wasted my money and time waiting for such an impossible thing in shitcoins. This is enough to tell us that buying and holding Bitcoin is the best thing to do even if the price is quite expensive rather than wasting our money on cheap coins that we only get nothing in the end. We ain't get 100% assurance here but choosing Bitcoin gives us peace of mind and little worries as we never lose if we hold and sell at a higher price.
