1801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What I do before buying an altcoin! on: February 17, 2018, 07:42:39 AM
This is a very difficult question. The crypto money market is very volatile. it is necessary to work hard, be patient and investigate first to enter this market. Subcoins are very alternative.
Have a reason before entering each trade: Start a trade only when you know why you’re starting and have a clear strategy for afterwards. Not all traders make gains from trading.
A lot of devs simply have a lot of work to do and they try to give updates once in a while. Let's face a fact, only devs that are not really working will have time to be giving everyone an answer anyway when all the necessary information needed are already online. I have been on some telegram groups of some of these coins, and really the sort of questions some people ask can make you to want to puke. Most are easily found on their website, and as long as I can see vividly that the devs are working and delivering, that is good enough.
1802  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Satoshi is dead,If not where is he now on: February 17, 2018, 07:11:07 AM
I think we should not bother about who or where satoshi is, Satoshis anonymity is good for for the growth and confidence cryptos keep getting, and it will stay that way if he remains unknown or behind the scenes. Knowing who he is can lead to a lot of speculation and conspiracy theories that wont be good for the crypto world.
Satoshi search is really a hot topic in the crypto world because he was the creator of the bitcoin and thus gave birth to the cryptocurrency market. No one knows if Satoshi is an individual or organization but with the amount of bitcoin he holds, he is the billionaire of the world.
With that idea, no one would dispute that fact that he is loaded and whether a single person or a group, one way or the other the technology they have made is worth more than they can imagine and I am sure must be enjoying the benefit somewhere without any traces to satoshi.

This is one smart person or group and that is obvious anyway, and the idea of going private from the world even makes a lot of sense.

I still do not know why a lot of people in this community are still very obsessed on knowing the identity of satoshi. Satoshi is already in the currency we all spend and that is the closest we can ever get to knowing satoshi. The most important thing is the technology that has been created which obviously leaves the name ringing a bell forever and even makes it interesting knowing that satoshi remains forever anonymous.
1803  Economy / Economics / Re: When will the market turn and start growing again? on: February 17, 2018, 06:06:56 AM
Like many of you, i also think that no one knows the answer since bitcoin is unpredictible. Everything seems okay lately. Green mark is everywhere again. But still, for me it's too soon to trust so i’ll just observe the market for a while. Most people think the market will be much better in spring, i think i agree with them Smiley
No one can ever give a definite answer and even the professional traders will tell you to just watch out for some of the actions on the charts and make decisions based on it. We are still in a down trend and until we break out of this before we can really be certain that this is over, but for now, we may just have to chill and see how things end up and luckily for us, we may just see the start of a new trend after a very long holiday with the beers.

But at the same time, we still have to wait for the point where we can clearly state that we are indeed in the right spot and ready to start moving up again which for now, we are not yet. However, I am hopeful that we should start seeing some glorious days ahead of us and it all depends on how everything plays out in the chart but time will definitely give us that answer.
1804  Economy / Economics / Re: what is the worst thing did you did in crypto world? on: February 17, 2018, 05:15:21 AM
It was back when I was just new in the crypto world and I thought that bitcoin is only for investment (HYIP and PONZI),
I invested almost all of the bitcoin earnings that I have at that time into a HYIP even though I doubt it to be just another scam.
And after I sent my money I tried to search something about it and found out that it was only a scam.
Internet is full of scammers but investing in HYIP (which I have actually not heard of because scams don’t grab much fame due to their time limitation) is not as much hurting as investing here at the cost of bitcoin. If it was Ethereum, still you move would have made a little sense because some people think ETH is more powerful than bitcoin.  However, there is no need to regret it now. If you have learnt lesson and now holding bitcoin, still you can have a rich life.
The problem with a lot of people always starts from their level of ignorance. Most people make assumptions without digging deep and studying all they need to, while some even get too greedy and always end up finding themselves in a Ponzi and even going all in sometimes. Even despite all the warnings everywhere, some are still doing it and at the end, those at the bottom chain are the ones who suffer the most.
1805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin making alts useless on: February 15, 2018, 06:22:53 PM
I think you're not exactly right. Many altcoins are unique, and have the functionality that bitcoin does not have. For example-Ethereum, it has smart contracts that are not yet provided for in bitcoin. Monero - it gives you the anonymity that can give bitcoin etc.
Well, he never mentioned that some of them are not unique, but if we face it, just very few of them are. Most of the alts are there are just merely some cheap scams which some devs just dropped on shit exchanges to adulterate the market as they have no working product. Those with a working product should still be useful and will do well in their category, but looking at the larger scale here, they cannot definitely get to where bitcoin is or ever smell it.

My thought is that virtually huge percentage of alts has always been useless. Most of them have no product, no essence why they exist and it sucks to see them pollute the atmosphere, so as far as I am concerned they have always been useless.

The level of adoption bitcoin has gotten to, no alt have even managed to get to a low percentage of it, and bitcoin will always keep having protocol development with that first advantage, so at the end, that makes most of them useless.
1806  Economy / Speculation / Re: My opinion on bitcoin, what's yours? on: February 15, 2018, 02:27:45 PM
And this is why old Bitcoin holders are always confident that Bitcoin will recover. Bitcoin has crashed multiple times and every crash there is a price rise. Some financial experts or economist are just baffled on why it is happening.
In fact, this is nothing compared to some of the occurrences that has happened in the past and I believe that as some point, most of the long term holders from the beginning, already have the experience and have been able to make use of that experience to cultivate the habit of holding, no matter what the market is telling right now. Bitcoin is a decentralized market, it is normal to end up with this volatility, but at the end, it is nothing and all we end up seeing is a huge recovery after a fall.

OP sounds funny to me, there is even no country banning bitcoin and all these news are just some self-generated news by some group of people who want to take advantage of the weak ones. So far, the recovery is the one I am looking forward to while I pity those who disregarded all the saying regarding holding by those who have been in the system, and understands how all these ends up.
1807  Economy / Speculation / Re: btc bullrun after chinese new year? on: February 15, 2018, 01:09:43 PM
I'm afraid not. If there will be a bull run, the only thing it will have in common with Chinese new year, is the time. There are investors who predict a bull run in 2 weeks, but seeing is believing.
Seeing is always believing but with all that is happening presently now, I am assuming the seeing is in place and it is left for whoever wants to believe but it actually has nothing to do with the Chinese because the market apparently picked up already from the previous low, even before the end of the Chinese new year. This is a global thing and a lot of traders and investors are always ready for new opportunity to enter back in to the market.

You guys should stop attaching everything with China, and even if the bull run happens, it has nothing to do with their new year festival. Bitcoin will start a rally when it is ready and when the market deem it fit to start. So far, the market is looking good, retracement looks more like something that is ready to roll and we can see a lot of improvement with volume.
1808  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto is the future,no need to panic on: February 15, 2018, 12:26:00 PM
that is very true. all those people who keep repeating about the bans and scare themselves into selling their bitcoins are the same people who never understood what bitcoin is. I am willing to bet that most of them don't even have a bitcoin wallet. they use services like Coinbase and exchanges to hold their bitcoins! that is one of the reasons they are too fast to press the big red button of panic sell whenever there is the smallest signs of a drop. and they always press that "button" too late!

Lol. That's why its easy for them to simply sell their btcs with the smallest fud they hear. Too bad for those people. It seems to me as well that many do believe that crypto is the future of transactions. The fact btc didn't touch the 5k mark means that a lot of us are firm in holding and seeing this through for the long term
One thing I am most certain of right now is that bitcoin is really one of the best investments one can ever think of as well as the future and for those who understand what the future holds; they will not even bother themselves with all the craziness going on in the space. Bitcoin has shown huge sign of strength, indication of prospects and what else would anyone want from an investment?

People always want to believe the only things they feel like believing and that is why a lot of people make wrong decisions and end up learning the hard way. Crypto space is more like the school of hard knocks. If you do not make that mistake once, you may not learn, unless you are smart enough to learn first from other people's mistake. We are in it for a good reason, so why tap out at the slightest manipulation of whales?
1809  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading strategies on: February 15, 2018, 10:33:12 AM
I think there is no such thing as a perfect trading strategies at all. Because I believe to be a good trader, it requires good presence of mind and capability to any risk management and reasonable predictions.
Yeah, all that. However, even though there is no perfect strategy, you still cannot do without one, as that would mean you are just busy gambling positions. One thing I have always known anyway is that, you cannot always have it 100%, so there should always be some little room for disappointments, but if you have your indicators useful, know when to use them, know when to get out with the help of support and resistance, then you will know you cannot do without strategy.

There's plenty of strategies out there but one of the best is patterns and news. some basic patterns can give you thousands of profit and same the news of course the bigger the news the bigger the profit but always be aware of FUD (Fear Uncertainly Doubt).
The only way anyone can get those patterns will actually be via chats and you will not even understand those patterns if you do not know what you are looking for which all still balls down to learning. A lot of people underrate learning which is why they have made so many mistakes when trading and when they should be making profit, they are busy making losses. Learn, have strategies and you will see yourself making quality decisions.
1810  Economy / Speculation / Re: IT'S TIME TO BUY BITCOIN ?? I SAY YESSSS on: February 15, 2018, 06:43:43 AM
Bitcoins has reached it lowest since the beginning of this year, and from all indications, this is just because of bad news. I believe this is the best time to buy Bitcoins and hopefully by the end of the year, it will be around 100,000. Buy Low and Sell high.
Who knows? May even be more than that or even less. However, for now, we are in a good position to buy. That volume was a good one and with that, I expect that we are very close to having a reversal. With the RSI, we are obviously in the oversold zone, so for now, let's see how the market responds on those level of resistance that the OP has mentioned.

Anyone who is still contemplating on whether to buy now should better have a rethink than wasting this sweet opportunity. Like you said, we still have some resistance ahead of us, so I guess we will have to see how that goes, but with that volume, I must say we are really ready to see this trend reverse to the upward.

I am still hoping that after testing the first resistance, the double bottom may play out before continuing upwards. Nice analysis though!
1811  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do I have to learn in trading? on: February 15, 2018, 06:06:58 AM
I'm a complete newbie but I am eager to learn how to trade and make some good profits can anyone help me so that I won't make many mistakes in trading? Any Tips?
If you are, newbie wants to improve your trading skills. You should learn to read charts, read market trends and these are the basics you need to learn if you do not want to run into big risks.
Yes, the forum is always a nice place to learn, but rather than waiting for the forum, there are so many articles to learn online. Learn a lot about how to use trading indicators, how to do some technical analysis, fundamental analysis, and over time with some experience, you will be able to get good at it.

A lot of people always skip the learning phase, put their trust on all those who call signals, and sometimes even get to join pump and dump groups and they end up screwing themselves up. Learn and get good, you will be making decisions like a pro.
1812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you even read whitepaper bro? on: February 14, 2018, 05:27:06 PM
I do read whitepaper of an ICO but  i give focus only to those whitepapers with an interesting idea. You must know clearly what is the purpose of the project and how will the team handle their project to be successful. What i love in reading whitepaper is it give me a lot of information about this business. So guys don't just ignore whitepapers it gives a lot of informations.
Good luck with whitepaper mate. With a lot of ICOs with prospect these days and the fact that whitepapers can easily be dubbed, I usually do not care much about it unless I just need to make a reference to something or probably crosscheck something I really need to know. However, once I am not pleased with the devs or those behind the project, which is where I put a full stop. See it this way, after spending your time reading a whitepaper, and then finding out the team does not qualify holding your penny, which would be a waste of precious time.
1813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Waves Sell Or Hodl? on: February 14, 2018, 08:28:46 AM
I also think that Waves will grow. Do not sell it yet.
No need to even think here, waves is a good coin to hold. This is one coin I can vividly be confident about that in the long run, it would be worth it in the long term. For those who have been following development on this coin, they will know how much the devs have been working real hard on the waves platform and with all the stuffs that will be integrated on this platform, it would make it very useful and hence valuable. Last time I checked, that is the type of coin to hold on to.
1814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto in infancy on: February 14, 2018, 07:07:18 AM
All the crypto world needs is an education to create better awareness and investments. What do you think are ways to go about it, apart from various conferences and meets.
The first move should be from the government, which compose majority of the officials they need to be educated so they will not the future if cryptocurrencie are fully implemented, most of these official doesnt have any idea what is cryptocurrency that is why they are opposing the use of it.
Yeah, government really have some huge role to play and it is good some of them are beginning to understand they have a lot of benefit to gain from the cryptocurrency awareness which is why they are going the regulation way thus far.

The truth though is that some people are still limited to internet, and some are just not the internet freaks, some do not even know how to search on the internet and all these basics alone can affect some people from gaining some knowledge or awareness. However, the media is a good way to start and they are doing some good job.

Either with the FUDs, or good articles, one way or the other, they are making people to start asking questions or that is all that is needed.
1815  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin is slowly rising again on: February 13, 2018, 06:22:53 PM
With bitcoin rising again, will it take long for it to be stable again?

Slowly growing? Its price was at $5800 just five days ago and at some point it has again touched the line of $9000, that is, an increase of more than 50% in less than a week, this is called "slow growth"? I think sometimes people tend to lose the true perspective of things in their eagerness to become millionaires overnight. I think that bitcoin has grown rapidly this week, especially if we take into account the fateful forecasts that hovered around the market.
Well, you would not blame them. Most people tend to look at the negative sides, miss the good part when they should have been buying a little bit low, rather than complaining all the time. Sure, the market is volatile, but 55% increase within few hours and a little bit back down to $8000 region is not a little bit of profit for some who bought in within that low region. It would still take some time to consolidate, but for now, we are really doing well.
1816  Economy / Speculation / Re: do you think bitcoin will go back to 6000? should i sell now? on: February 13, 2018, 01:03:40 PM
Yes, you should sell it now. If you have to ask such inept questions like it, you don't deserve cryptocurrency.
Whether he deserves or not doesn't matter at all. If he finds that the price will go low he can sell, because he hasn't got the right understanding about the cryptocurrencies. Fear of loss is one that each and every user has got, with cryptocurrency user should have the mentality to face anything. It can be a loss, gain and most importantly hack.

Lol that's a bit too harsh on the dude :p but yeah. These people who seem to be expecting easy, quick money from crypto should just rethink if they really want to be in this industry. It shows the lack of patience of people who didn't do their homeworks before investing
Honestly, he was not even harsh. Most times it is always better to let these guys like OP know the truth and let them face it themselves. No one acquired the knowledge once and most people had to read more to be able to know what they know today. If the OP feels he is fine with selling, why should he be asking ?

He can just go ahead. The same reason why we have a lot of weak hands in the market, you say hold, but they still tag along to the tunes of the whales, so what the heck, it is a free world, and no one can stop them from selling as the smart ones will always take it from them.
1817  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin - Recovery or bull trap v.2018 ? on: February 13, 2018, 11:32:44 AM
original post from 2013:
Is this the start of a recovery or a bull trap?

I'd hope for the first but I'm still confused...

Boy I sure hope we'll reach a new ATH this year, similar to 2013.

I'm cautiously optimistic right now too, seeing how USD 8,000,- is holding up fairly well with USD 6,000,- looking like a double bottom. I guess February is going to be critical. If we break below USD 8,000,- again, I doubt that USD 6,000,- will hold and the downtrend might continue. If we manage to break above USD 10,000,- however, or at least stay above USD 8,000,- until the end of the month, I think that we might actually look at an uptrend again.
Right and really looking forward to it. From what we have, there is still hope that we may be trying to break some resistance in coming weeks, but we really need to get past this $9000-ish region first. So many times, I almost freaked out of seeing a trap, but for now it looks like the formation is looking good but I personally need more to know that we have recovered and the trend has changed.

I guess we have to wait and see, but if it is a bull trap, I am sure by now we should have known, but everything still looks good. However, a trap or not, I am still very bullish on bitcoin this year. It could be a bumpy one, no one knows, probably a smooth adoption and an up rally, no one can say, but at least, only the chart can really tell us that.
1818  Economy / Speculation / Re: $9,800 will be the target for current uptrend, bullets are fired. on: February 12, 2018, 01:31:51 PM
Yup!

2H chart shows a good uptrend.
4H chart is ending the downtrend.
Exactly this. We are entering classic head and shoulders pattern here. I expect that people who dipped and sold and the bottom are uncertain of the next move.
And people who bought are scared to collect their profit yet, which may cause the prolonged time of market uncertanity.
Anyway, I think that this news: http://www.globalcryptopress.com/2018/02/us-gov-gives-cryptocurrency-green-light.html is gonna take us higher!
It would be a whole lot prolonged and there is no doubt about it. Bitcoin broke some of the normal trading rules and generated some panic in the market which new money and smart investors would not even want to take that risk now. However, consolidation period too is good, a lot of alts will be doing well within this period, while we end up having more time to hold more BTC before we start seeing a rally formation.

For now, I do not even think the bears have any more gas in their own tank, since we have reached the oversold region on the RSI. The bulls would really need to do more than this present situation in the market to be able to get the market back in the uptrend position. So many investors still believe this may be a bear trap and cautiously trying to monitor the market so as not to make a huge mistake, but I guess we will have to wait and see how the whole thing ends.
1819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How would we know which cryptocurrency would be Scam? on: February 11, 2018, 03:38:42 PM
It so hard to find which cryptocurrency is Scam, but for me if the crypto have many discount gave and give-away that's sign of Scam. For you not to be Scam, I think you should search about the crypo you want to invest or you should just invest in the Top10 crypto in the world.
It is not so hard mate ! All you have to do is to just do some diggings on the project surrounding the cryptocurrency, the team, how well they have been working hard to stay relevant, the chances of them surviving and bringing good profits for holders in the long run and the chances of the product they have being usable.

There are a lot of coins or tokens that are not even in the top 100 with a low cap and there is a huge guaranty they will still do well, so it is left for each person to take their time for proper research on any coin.
1820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: if cryptocurrency withdraw accounts freeze by government on: February 11, 2018, 02:27:27 PM
Are you sure about that ? i never heard about it and never had that problem. Even if there prolem like that, you still can sell it to another person and ask that person to send the money to your bank account.
I am sure this is just a mere speculation and there is nothing like this ever going on anywhere. Even in places where there is embargo on cryptocurrency, exchanges are not even available. However, P2P platforms are there like localbitcoins, so anyone in a situation like this can just decide to make use of platforms like this or rather just take all the bitcoin they have and move to a sane governmental system.

I have not seen anywhere that cryptocurrency withdraw accounts freeze by government and I am not sure I have heard of such incidents except for some regions where there is a huge clamp down on cryptocurrency with attack on exchanges. But why on earth will my government want to freeze my account when I am not breaking any rule or I am not in the era of an autocratic system?
