1841  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN will rise on: April 19, 2022, 06:42:09 AM
Recently there was news that the CEO of Bitmex gave a statement that Q2 the price of Bitcoin and altcoins will experience a dump,
I don't know if this is a real thing or he did FUD to buy at a low price, but indeed if you look at the technical analysis,
Bitcoin prices are still sideways and still tends to be bearish.
April May and June. This is Q2 and we are over half done with April already. This means there is like 2 months left for a dump, does it look like there will be a dump? I have to say that he is talking with absolutely no data at all. For the time being, charts look like we should be buying and a breakout is coming, maybe it won't but at the very least there is a data backing that idea up and I would understand that.

On the other hand, we have a situation where there is absolutely zero data showing it will go down, why would it? Best case, it will be breaking ATH during this Q2 period, worst case, it will be somewhere around 40k anyway and wouldn't move too much.
1842  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Turkish Super League & 1. League 2021/22 Season on: April 18, 2022, 10:49:35 PM
With the remaining matches in the remaining season, I think it is too narrow to compete for 4th place, if the team above it is inconsistent or continues to lose in the remainder of this match then it can make Antalyaspor continue to rise. But the consideration, is it possible for them to just give up in the competition and it's very unlikely. Indeed, Antalyaspor is unbeaten in their last 11 matches but unfortunately, this good achievement is too late because there are only 5 matches left to go.
Yeah that's main reason that makes me sad. Antalyaspor could be like this at first half of season. Main squad didn't change a lot, only couple of players arrived to fill bad positions. Fredy and Gökdeniz Bayraktar were both already good players. Especially Gökdeniz when he first arrived to Antalya I remember hype behind him. He will definitely hit top 4 teams at transfer season one day.
Nuri Şahin's idol is Jurgen Klopp. Nuri Şahin and Jurgen Klopp worked together in Dortmund. When Jurgen Klopp became coach in Dortmund, he sent an e-mail to all staff. In the mail, he talked about the importance of all staff for the team. And When Nuri Şahin became coach Antalyaspor, he sends the same e-mail to all staff. Nuri Şahin is currently coaching Antalyaspor like Jurgen Klopp's Dortmund.
That information about the e-mail like Jurgen Klopp, is it genuinely real information? If yes, Nuri Şahin might be really looking up to Klopp and he will probably have the same type of coaching.

Antalyaspor is doing really really good actually. The last game they lost was on 20th of January. Since then, they haven't lost a single game in the super league. 3 draws and 8 wins. They are almost at the same point as Besiktas. Which is quite successful for Antalyaspor. Their future seems really bright with Nuri Şahin. I just hope Antalyaspor Club Management will be strong and long-lasting with their strategy. There might come some time that the results are not good with the new team, but they must be resilient with the Şahin decision and just keep going.
I am not sure if the email stuff is real or not, there are some "news" that says it is real but at the same time how much can you really trust them? But at the end of the day if you watch how antalyaspor plays, they are a very bad version of Liverpool, and back in the day dortmund as well. Which is a proof that he is at least "trying" to play that way.

It is a Turkish team with a few million dollars, not Liverpool with a billion, so obviously the quality is different and you may not see the resemblance since players are not as good as that, and sometimes fails to execute the plan. But the mindset is there, it is pretty much alike with what Klopp does.
1843  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: April 18, 2022, 08:50:43 PM
I agree, without the reliability issues, Max would have been second in both races, which means that dude would had 36 points on top of his current 25, which is 61 points, Charles has 71. If you have just 10 points after 3 races, then it looks like it would be decent and not a big problem and too close to call.

This proves that reliability issues is the main thing that separates them. If Red Bull has a few more of these, they will just let go off the season and start working on the next years car for sure, because having zero points in a race means that you shouldn't even raced and all of that money could have gone to winning a title next year.
1844  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Using a Stop loss "Good" or "Bad" on: April 18, 2022, 07:46:18 PM
Smart trader always use top loss what ever kind of trading between spot or future keep safety assets and take recovery back when price drop, several trader looks as long term investor without use stop loss but risk with future trading without have bigger fund for back up away from liquidity. But still effective without stop loss on spot trading but really need waiting long term and more patience for reaching higher price later, but several smart trader take stop loss and got loss few percent than become long term holding or become several years with investor after price drop.
Stop loss is for the people who like to trade quickly, there are some of us who think that trading could be turned into investment as well. Like for example if I buy something and it goes up 5% in a day or a week, then I will sell and make a profit. However, if it goes down 10%, then I will buy some more, usually the same amount and then that will cause the average to be lower, if it keeps going lower then I will keep on buying more and that's how I make my profit, without needing to sell out and wait to get back in.

This means I would have to wait a lot longer, there are times when I waited 2 years to sell something, sometimes it's just a few weeks, but all in all I started with the mindset of selling as soon as it reaches 10% profit, and still did that no matter how long it took, a week or a year.
1845  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin has no intrinsic value on: April 18, 2022, 07:08:29 PM
bitcoin is not even an investment. Bitcoin is a currency and as the only existing decentralized censorship resistant payment system it offers a lot of utilities for people all around the world and utility means intrinsic value.

That's been the biggest problem newbies have been facing, bitcoin is advertised to them as an investment that will give them a lot of money out of thin air!
It's true that the payment system was the real intention of why Satoshi created it but we all know that it's really not what has given Bitcoin the value it has today. It derives its value from the perceived angle of investment. It's not only newbies who get on the bandwagon that it's an investment opportunity, veterans too are involved. If Bitcoin were solely for decentralized payment system as conceived then it should be like stable coins whose value remain the same or almost the same year in and year out.
I believe that he created it as a better currency and not as a payment system. If you think that the sole purpose of satoshi was to create something that you could earn profit from, then you never understood what he stood for. The decentralization part of bitcoin is the main reason, and it is a currency which means that there is a currency in the world where politics could not impact it and change it.

In regular nations, we keep seeing nations print money all the time and this devalues currency and the worse they act towards money and economics, the poorer you get whereas in crypto nothing like that could happen and nobody can print it, which is the power of bitcoin and why it was created.
1846  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are the criteria for choosing altcoin on: April 17, 2022, 09:16:14 PM
utility should be the main factor for choosing coins for the future. but everyone has their own view for the future which cannot be blamed, seeing the team and also development for the future can also be the reason for choosing Altcoin for the future.
Cooperation partners on the project also need to be looked at even though it is an additional thing after looking at the roadmap and the main team composition, so that many people's belief in a product will be born and exist forever as in many utility coins that already exist today.
That's very true and I think it's important to pay attention because we can see if the coin or project is a scam or not, we can pay attention from cooperation partners,
basically everyone has more or less the same criteria as others in choosing altcoins
It's getting more and more obvious these days because we get to see the real legit ones actually do stuff that requires a good amount of money and also provide like audit and kyc and all that kind of thing. So, if you want to scam someone, you can't provide those things. If you do provide them, and still end up scamming people then we know who you are and we can sue you.

This is why there are so many projects that may fail even though they are legit, but there are none that would provide KYC and who they are and still scam you, that would screw them up. This is why it got easier, I just do not invest in anything new that has not done any of that yet.
1847  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading question on: April 17, 2022, 03:15:42 PM
Hi guys I'm trying to hard to know more about crypto trading but my friends are saying that trading stocks like NAS and GBP are better than crypto, Between Forex trading and crypto trading which one do you prefer the most and why?
Crypto trading is far more appealing to me than FOREX; I believe that there are more surprise profits in crypto trading, though there are also in FOREX. However, people are more familiar with crypto trading than FOREX, and while trading, one can gain up to 20x his initial investment in a very short period of time depending on market conditions at the time, and vice versa, there is a tendency of not completely losing because the crypto market will bounce back even after going down.
Not every coin in the cryptocurrency market bounces back. And both crypto currency trading and forex trading carries a lot of risk. I believe that his friends are telling him to choose forex trading because that’s what they like and that’s what seems to be the best for them. There are also people that he would meet and they would tell him otherwise. So, it’s mainly about the choice that people has.

If someone thinks that something is going to work better for them, it is best to consider that. Same way that here most of us also considers crypto currency trading is the best for us to choose.
1848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Round of 16! on: April 16, 2022, 09:06:48 PM
Man City consistency will be tested against Madrid because for me Madrid very strong this season and while Man City only eleminated the teams such as Sporting CP and Atletico but Madrid was successfully eleminated strong teams such as PSG and Chelsea and in fact Madrid is the most successful team in champions league with 13 trophies so i personally considers Madrid is the favourite to win the match and went to final match
Looking at Madrid's performance now, I think they can become one of the clubs that are indeed favored after they had been giving surprises before.
Chelsea and PSG were the early seeds and they were knocked out by Madrid. Now man. City are definitely the favourites, but if you look at the struggle, Madrid is now much tougher because, as you said, City can be said to have had quite an easy opponent before.
It's going to be tough I hope Madrid can keep surprises here because I still hope Madrid and Liverpool are in the Final
I am sure that everyone has high expectations from Real because of how well they played recently, first beating PSG then beating Chelsea and it looks like they could win it all. They are a perfect tournament team and they keep winning UCL and that is why everyone looks at them differently there.

However, the reality is that we should be focusing on the fact that City is not a bad team neither, yes there is a chance Real could win, but there is also a chance that we could see City dominating the game as well. Pep is used to playing against Madrid and he will be ready to beat them, it is "basically" the same team and he will be capable of finding holes in their system and beat them. Maybe it is not that easy, but it is not impossible neither.
1849  Economy / Economics / Re: Gold , Silver Or Crypto? on: April 16, 2022, 01:01:21 PM
Gold is the first priority of investment, this is because wherever and whenever gold will continue to be received, gold investment has occurred since thousands of years ago and will last for thousands of years, after gold of course I will choose crypto because the profit opportunity is very large and has been proven that by only holding crypto for the long term can get big profits.
Just because it has been around for thousands of years doesn't mean that it is a good investment. In fact, I would rather say that gold is one of the worst investments right now because of how boring it is. When everything goes up, gold goes up very little, and the good thing is when everything goes down it goes down very little as well.

This allows you to not make a big loss and I understand that, but it also causes you to lose a lot of money at the same from the potential profit. Just check from any time to today on how would you fare if you had gold and if you had bitcoin. If you go back, it would be bitcoin very easily, but if you pick close levels, it’s still better.
1850  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SHIB Listed in Robin Hood on: April 15, 2022, 04:06:11 PM
I would say that it is exactly the opposite reason to buy some more, it just got high because of getting listed and nothing more. It shouldn't increase more than the market average, anyone who makes their profit here, will sell and leave for another coin that is down right now.

Look at bitcoin, even the top one dropped under 40k after a long time and I think if you made 20%+ profit from shiba then there is a good chance you could drop a lot more so get out and buy bitcoin and wait for it to recover. This is just me though, maybe robinhood listing would get a lot more attention to it and everyone will jump in and the price would skyrocket, who knows? I could be wrong.
Let the people lose their money. I do not care because people are overhyped about the current situation and they have no idea what they are doing. I wouldn't mind because it is just their money and they will be the ones who are disappointed with the results.

This will teach them a lesson and they will become better investors in the future and they will come back with a lot better knowledge of the market out of this. I know that it will mean that some other people made money from it as well, whoever sells at the top, and gets out, and gets into something more serious will be able to make money and that is the people we want in the market these days.
1851  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How has trading been for you during this Ukraine and Russia war on: April 15, 2022, 01:15:22 PM
Some of the differences are seen here and some are not seen here. What has not been seen yet is the same but the risk here is instability and since trading has been talked about it is not always going to win.  In the event of a war, even if we do not see the market as fully flowing here in trading activities, the price will go down and that is normal.
The inconsistency of the market is the problem for me, I keep seeing stuff that would be easy to handle if I could, but usually that ends with me having absolutely no result at all like I expected, then I expect nothing and suddenly I get a good result.

Like yesterday I made some small investment to grow my bitcoin amount and nothing more, I had no expectation that it would go up, but it went up a little bit, if I was trading then I would have made some profit, not a huge one of course but combine all these small ones and you get something big yearly. The war causes the market to be a bit more volatile than usual, which was already volatile compared to other markets.
1852  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will switch to PoS in Q3 2022 on: April 15, 2022, 06:02:03 AM
I guess its due to the fact that people have expected a lot when we've first heard about the transition. So it's better if they are always like that which they don't give accurate timeline when it will be exactly going to happen. The best thing to do right now is if it will literally going to be on that quarter.
It is not really about having the same type of situation when you know it will be Q3 or not. I mean if it is q3, then we could arrange it accordingly, if it is not Q3 then we could arrange our portfolio accordingly. I have increased my btc and eth holdings a lot in the past 3 months, over all the other altcoins, only because I believe that btc will be the first one to go up on the next bull cycle and ETH will be going up when the PoS happens.

This is a very important breaking point in crypto, if ETH could turn into PoS and have low gas fee, that will mean that many projects will be finally getting the attention it deserves but lacked due to gas fee.
1853  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Short term investment suggestion on: April 15, 2022, 05:15:37 AM
Yes sir I need some suggestions for long term coin . Which coin is best for long term I see Binance delist coin and going down . I already hold Dot and FTT .
If you want to invest in a long-term coin, you can select bitcoin and forget the other coins because bitcoin will fit what you want. But if that is about short-term investment, I can not suggest the coin because too many coins can be the candidate. But you can try with ethereum and binance, as I see, those coins can go up after it is down but still, you need to search for more info before you buy the coins. DOT and FTT can be a good coin for the short term but that will depend on how bitcoin move.
Exactly right. If you want to buy and forget, you can't really get better than bitcoin, not just in crypto but in the whole world. There is no other investment in the entire world that would be as good as bitcoin and its returns in the next 10 years, there could be some small altcoins, there could be some tiny companies that grow big, but finding them would be the hardest job as well and you would be risking too much money with it.

Whereas, you could just end up with something much better if you just ended up with bitcoin because it is definitely amazing when we are talking about returns, and it is right there, there is basically nearly no risk in it at all.
1854  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you spread BTC to people within you on: April 14, 2022, 09:03:26 PM
I don't understand people who promote bitcoin at the expense of other people. Especially with older parents. In addition to the fact that adult children should not depend on their parents at all, but, on the contrary, help them, I see conversations to attract investment with parental money.
Looks very childish. To experience all the benefits of bitcoins, you need to invest your own money earned on your own. And only then conclude how much you can lose and how much you can win.
You may want to help your parents in multiple different ways. If you imagine that I do not, that is on you and I have no obligation to provide any proof that I do help. However, the need to tell them to buy bitcoin so that they could be richer when they are even older should be understandable thing.

I am not saying that we shouldn't help them ourselves with our own money, but at the same time we may want to help them with their money as well. I am not expecting them to get into bitcoin so I could get rich, I am hoping that they get into bitcoin so THEY could get rich. Who wouldn't want their parents to live a wealthy life? Even if I see zero dollars from it, I would be so happy to see them become rich one day.
1855  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: New York imposes a permit for Crypto companies on: April 14, 2022, 11:25:54 AM
you dont need to physically exist in NY to be beholdened to needing a licence just to serve NY customers.
so in the entire world of thousands of businesses.. only 30 have succeeded in getting a bitlicence to serve NY citizens. the other THOUSANDS of businesses have to IP ban NY customers and reject serving customer that reveal that they live in NY

yet. an exchange can serve texas customers with no need to get licenced. because texas does not view crypto as a currency nor money.

oh.. and by the way. NY does recognise crypto as currency and money. so not only do you need a bit licence for the bitcoin side, but also a money transmitter licence for the fiat side.

i see texas as being more bitcoin friendly...
.. the fatal flaw of bitcoin was when it was reclassified as a currency/money instead of a asset product.
being an asset product, services are treated just as retailers when doing swaps for fiat. (the route texas currently sees it)
being a currency/asset triggers the whole fiat licencing(many states including NY) but NY has a separate licence ontop of the fiat licence requirements
Texas and California is definitely much better, it allows people to be a lot more free when getting a license, and it allows people to grow. Coinbase is a company based in California and they had a stock listing last year, that should show you how much you can grow when you are there. They got listed in Nasdaq if I am not wrong, which proves to everyone that we are talking about a great growth rate if you are there.

New York is losing customers and money this way, it is not something they should be proud of, I mean not like these companies are amazon like places, they are actually paying their employees good and allow people to make money as well.
1856  Economy / Speculation / Re: If Russia goes full Bitcoin adoption on: April 14, 2022, 09:08:19 AM
Without a doubt something like this would be incredibly problematic for bitcoin, however it is not as simple either as the institutional investors that are coming to this market have great influence on the American government and a movement like that would affect them, so even if at some point the US tried to ban bitcoin or something like that they will need to give time to those institutional investors to get out of their positions, something which could take years as some of them have invested a complete fortune in bitcoin.
I do not think that it would take years before it happens, surely it wouldn't be overnight but it could happen in a year or two as well. This is the same banks that we talk about that got out of 2008 basically unharmed, sure a bit of harmed in short term but unharmed in the long term. They wouldn't care about retail investors anyway.

However, we need to realize that that would require federal law and I doubt they would have that, a banned crypto federal law doesn't sound realistic, there are companies now all over the nation working in the crypto world, meaning they actually spent a quite bit of money and paying good taxes, doubt they would change that.
1857  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best DeFi Projcet 2021-2022 on: April 14, 2022, 08:35:10 AM
In your opinion, what is the DeFi project to keep on radar and study and which DeFi projects do you consider new gems and have you already bought them?
I must admit, the trend towards DEFI is still an ideal spot to follow with some speculation.  In fact, the subsequent ability to stimulate defi continues to get the right response which I think is an important part of a scalable stable coin.  It keeps the challenger ecosystem unchallenged from any regulatory pressure.  Luna, Uni or Lucky Block, CLY are some of my defi coins.  I have distributed some % of them in my catalog.
The difference between last year and this year is that last year we had projects that just copy pasted the code from pancakeswap and created a brand new thing with the exact same code aside from the design and still got like hundreds of thousands of dollars, some even millions. I mean we have seen so many different shit projects that got 500+ bnb at that point that I am not so sure if it helped the crypto world at all.

These days we only have support for the real good ones, and the ones that stood the test of time. The ones that stay right now at top levels could stay for many years to come and I believe that they will even grow bigger in the future when the next cycle comes.
1858  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba made its way to Robinhood on: April 14, 2022, 07:02:46 AM
it's good to see that is happening right now. It seems like the pump is happening right now and i will be expecting this token to go up drastically. In my opinion that when you will be seeing another pump for shiba inu as we know how hard robinhood users are pumping GME so the same thing will be happening with shiba inu as well very soon. Shiba is the only one from five crypto in total that got listed on robinhood. I would like to know that what will be happening once more and more crypto will be listed on robinhood. Crypto become more and more familiar to the stock traders
This may be a short term move because if the listing on robinhood, might not be something that is going to last long term. Maybe in the future? Sure there is going to be an increase in the market in the future. SHIB is good, so we can expect more adoption from exchanges and more trends in the future. To me, it seems to be besting all other meme coins and even Dogecoin which is the father meme coins. With SHIB getting listed on Robinhood and more people getting to know about it with these trends, they would trading and investing their money in it and believing there is going to be more of this in the future.
1859  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: April 14, 2022, 05:31:44 AM
It's a huge blow for Red Bull and Verstappen.  But it also doesn't mean that Ferrari doesn't have the fastest package of the season as of now.  Obv their power unit has been way better than last year.  Check out the other cars using a Ferrari power unit.  They're also having better results.

Red Bull would need to get lucky and have the Ferraris finishing a couple of races without points to close the gap.  But seeing how consistent Leclerc is, I pretty much doubt it's happening.
It is both about the car being faster and the engine being better, but it is also about how they handled the new regulations as well. You have to realize that this year is a new year and with a new car everyone had equal chances and Ferrari knew this and put most of their money into this year's car.

Last year, since the battle for the champion went to the last race, both Mercedes and red bull kept on spending money on their last years car to win it all, which worked for both of them since one of them got driver championship and the other got the constructors, but to be fair that resulted with both teams being worse than Ferrari this year because of it.
1860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: April 14, 2022, 04:32:31 AM
Moving to the next round of the World Cup is not something impossible for Japan but to win the World Cup is something completely different, if I remember correctly South Korea was able to reach the semifinals of the World Cup when they hosted it together with Japan at the 2002 edition of the World Cup.

However this was done with luck and with some doubtful decisions by the referees, and even then it was only enough to reach the semifinals, so I doubt the current level of Japan is enough to be able to get the win during this tournament.
Even going to next stage is good enough, that is a very tough task but at the very least it is just 3 games there. Between Spain and Germany it should be quite close to impossible as it gets for them to go to next stage. I mean if they could beat one of them then they have a bigger chance but which one could they beat? Both Spain and Germany is miles miles ahead of Japan and should be beating them very easily.

I get that it is not an easy task to beat any team when it is elimination process, it's group stages and one bad game from either of those teams and Japan would be higher, but the same could be said about their winning it all chances if we look at it that optimistically.
