Lets go for 0.50 today! F*ck the haters! Grin

Probably not today, but I think we'll see $0.5 pretty soon. Like I said earlier my prediction for Ripple is $2/XRP this year.

We shouldn't compare Ripple with bitcoin in terms of the Max Supply and then state that XRP should cost 5,000 less then BTC, in my opinion, because Ripple potentially can have much more users. Law-abiding people would rather use XRP than BTC, and don't forget that they are the majority.

So many people will be happy when price will crash, if it happen.. I don't understand why, maybe because they didn't invest ??
I have invest a little late at 0.085$, of course i hope to see XRP rise to 0.5$ and why not 0.8$-0.9$ but my stop loss is there to be sure I'll be happy whatever will happen. Many on this thread have invest when it was 0.00x$

Now its a speculation thread, trust about it or not but please guys don't be happy IF the price dump.

Max Supply of Ripple  = 100,000,000,000 XRP. There are from $10 trillion to $60 trillion money in the world, and if all banks decide to support Ripple, which is very likely, and if Ripple replaces all the money in the future, then the price of 1 XRP would be from $100 to $600.

This might happen in the in the far far future, but for now I predict $2/XRP this year.
1845  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: what is definition gambling in your mind? on: May 17, 2017, 10:32:43 AM
Gambling is designed for the casino to win, otherwise which businessman will own a business casino where his risk to lose will be higher than to win? The part of gambling is to understand and accept that word winning is only in your mind. In reality you will struggle to win over the house, think about it.

We also have to think about the probabilities in every business that involves many people, in this case the house has some percentage consideration for profit sharing to 30% of its users within 24 hours, if you tell me to think, I will think that I'm included in side of 30% winner. This is much better than ponzi who will eat you 100%

Although I wouldn't encourage anyone to gamble for profit, I agree that if compared with investing in a ponzi gambling is a better choice. Yes, you will lose most likely with gambling, but knowing that beforehand makes you to not deposit more than you can afford to lose. Investing in ponzi people expect good profits and thinking that the risk is minimal they invest a lot and thus lose a lot.

The thing with a ponzi is that you can actually make money if you are in the first group of investors.

With gambling it doesn't matter if you join early or late, in the long run you will lose out anyway.

But with ponzi you will definitely lose in the long run and actually you never know whether it is an early stage or not. Hoping to have a profit from being in a ponzi is as stupid as expecting real profits from gambling. Only people tend to invest much more in a ponzi.
In gambling if you don't learn and know how to control your emotions especially greediness you will fall out of nothing but to lose all you have .The ponzi is a kind of investment which you have a high risk same as gambling but the difference is you will not play for risk unlike gambling you may control it sometimes.

I don't get it, sorry. How can you control anything investing in ponzi? Nothing depends on you after you invested your money except maybe one thing, you can try to take your money back as soon as possible, but with most pozies as long as you've invested you've lost a big part already.
1846  Economy / Economics / Re: Moment for buying or selling? on: May 16, 2017, 03:26:58 PM
I was thinking, because of Bitcoin price skyrocketed, would it be wise to buy bitcoin now? I have some bitcoin in wallet, but nothing much, and i was thinking to buy some bitcoin more. But because of price rising in last few days i am not sure what to do, because if i buy now, maybe price will go down and ill lose profit, or maybe it will go up and i did not buy so ill lose profit too. What are your thinking on matter and what do you think how much will price of bitcoin rise this year?

When the price were on $500 after sitting for below $300 for almost months, some people says they will wait more for price decrease because the price was high, then price rose to $600+. Will wait again for decrease because it was still higher, then the price increase to $700. Will wait again for the dip because it was too high, then the price increase again to $800 and so on. And more numbers of "waiting for price decrease" happened last time price was go back at below $1,000. And look what we are now?

See my main point here? As long as doubts will be dominant in your mind you can never make any strong decision. If you want to buy and afford to hold it for long while at the same time believes that bitcoin will increase it's price to your target price in the future then just do the buying and face the risk.

Brilliant words! If someone waits for the price to drop to buy BTC a bit cheaper then the time is now. Bitcoin was almost $1,900 several days ago and today the price is $1,740. Waiting for the price to drop more might result in buying for over $1,900 eventually.

By (massive) popular request, Ledger is going to announce XRP Ripple support for Nano S & Blue in the coming days. Stay tuned!

watch a flood of big surprise announcments from different crypto areas....
i was expecting this around now  lol

They say the official date when they add is 2017.06.01. Does this mean Ripple will rise even more in the nearest future? Some people are hesitant to buy XRP now saying "I should have bought it two weeks ago, and now it's too late". But what if even now it isn't too late?

Today was a lucky day I hit 330x from max faucet made like 0.01 Grin
And made it to 0.019 before busting faucet money.
That was a nice feeling when the roll went 99.70<

My best was faucet to BTC0.25. Was a long road and after getting there I lost it in 5 stupid bets.  Grin

That's a bit of a shame xD
You won 400$ without betting anything and you lost it all again ^^'

It was made from faucets so he can try to win more with that. Also as per me i think that "he did it once, he can do it again".

Theoretically everyone can do it when he's lucky but in practice those are rare cases. I had managed to go to 0.005 from the faucet once and that was the best I could do in 2 years of my gambling experience.
1849  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Starting a Crypto Currency Exchange on: May 16, 2017, 11:22:21 AM
Hi,
We are planning to start a platform for trading various crypto currencies and would list new Altcoins as well.

The plan so far is to provide a social platform, where people, apart from trading,
  • Could get in touch with like minded people,
  • May choose to trade anonymously or reveal there profiles with the bids
  • Identify local seller / buyer and deal in fiat currencies directly
  • Can utilize escrow services

We are looking "Crowd Funding" as the primary source of funding.

Any suggestions including but not limited to "Security", "Legality" and "Raising the Funds" are welcome from the community.

Thanks in advance.  Smiley

I have a suggestion on "Raising the Funds". Find the developers of new altcoins which are unknown and not listed on any exchange or listed only on a few. Tell them you'll add their coin to your Exchange but first they should help you to create the Exchange.

1851  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much risk in bitcoin investement ? on: May 16, 2017, 08:58:29 AM
I just wanted to know that, what amount of risk is there in investing in bitcoins.
Right now i am planning to buy btc approx 3-4 btc and just hold them as i guess the price of bitcoin will increase in future and i will get some good profit. But i want to know what is the risk involved. Can bitcoin price decrease and is this right time to buy the bitcoin.

When bitcoin hit $200 4 years ago many early adopters sold all they had because they were thinking $200 is the highest level bitcoin can achive ever. Now some people think $1,900 is the highest limit for BTC. But what if today the situation is similar to what it was in April-May 2013?
Well, therefore, it may be that the bitcoin price will fall back, but if you believe it, it will not happen. The only risk to the price, when the bitcoin price falls within a short period of time, you may lose in quick time as well.

That's why it's better to not to give way to panic when the price starts to fall and hold your coins instead of dumping them at a low price. But I was talking about another thing. I meant that $1,900 might be not the highest limit for BTC nowadays.

A friend of mine invested a significant amount in XRP two weeks ago and now I'm so glad for him.  Smiley

I read through this thread and I can't understand why some people hate Ripple so much. Do they really think Ripple is a competitor to bitcoin? Do they think it can replace BTC in the future? I personally always try to cast my vote for diversity, and it also goes for the world of cryptos.
1856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SINGULARDTV (ETHEREUM) - Launch Completed! on: May 15, 2017, 10:20:57 AM
How I missed this coin?

It was pretty popular before and during the ICO, not much since in here, communication has moved to their slack.

And this is very bad idea because everybody is searching in bitcointalk for info. I understand that they moved to slack but there should be a topic here about this coin too.

I see your signature is this campaign still active?

There's all the necessary info you need on bitcointalk, small updates/details are on slack, big ones are posted here too.
No the signature campaign was over right after the ICO, I just believe in this ICO so I keep it in my sig, could change it with some shitcoin's ICO for bounty but I rather advertise something worthy for free than trash for bounty Smiley

I like your approach and really wish you good luck with that. I checked their site, https://singulardtv.com/, and it is really nicely made and fun to navigate. Also enjoyed reading "THE “BIG PICTURE” - THE SINGULAR TIME-LINE".  Smiley

I also try to advertise only what I personally think is good.
1857  Economy / Gambling / Re: KINGDICE.COM - Bitcoin Dice & Invest in bankroll on: May 15, 2017, 10:05:12 AM
Hi,

You should really do something different about fighting farmers, tipping and flagging accounts.

http://imgur.com/a/FUO1p

Also, do you plan to add chat commands soon?

Regards

Depositing 0.1btc just to tip (unlock features). That's something users will not like. However, You can lift minimum tip balance to 50k sats or number of tips each hour or day. But depositing 0.1 btc...nope(I will not recommend).

I agree with you in general, but lifting the minimum tip to 50k(like on most other sites) will make KINGDICE.COM less unique. I always thought it's beautifull when you can give small tips because thus you can give them more frequently. But unfortunately I have no idea on how to fight faucet farmers in that case.

I have voted for "More sites using it", but in fact I think we are missing an option here. What about "More people are using it"? Because IMO wider adoption is what benefits bitcoin the most.
