Sword of justice strikes. Glad the mods took action against the Yobit crap.

The MOSFETs are switchers, if one is blown the supply may work at a reduced voltage.

Look for the blown one. In circuit you should be able to test for resistance between gate and source and between gate and drain. One will be different, replace it.

And nice job figuring this out. The FETs are what usually generate the most heat, so they blow up. Don't forget heat sink compound on them when replacing!

I don't understand how this could even be up for debate.
When has society ever decided that being a lazy piece of shit is an acceptable behavior and is to be rewarded with a living income?

Talk about a way to breed even more losers into society and bring it down moreso in total.

Low end jobs would have no workers, the taxes on those who work would be raised to cover them, it  would be a monumental source of damage to the economy and society.
No, you use immigrants for the low end jobs. They pay taxes, problem solved :-)

More to the point, there are retraining costs to move a person from a job that went away (due to automation, immigrants, whatever) to a job that remains. And in some dumpster parts of this nation there are simply no jobs other than "goat fucker" so the people either need to be moved to where the jobs are, have transportation ability to where the jobs are, or are liquidated.

Moving people is tricky as you are then "destroying their unique local culture" (see Appalachia, a good chunk of the rural south, or rural England), no one wants to fund transportation infrastructure, so what do you do? Have the best paying job in the Hollah be "meth dealer" (which can make a good wage but doesn't pay taxes) or do you start liquidating people?

Maybe sterilize them and give them a basic income but then we're off to the Eugenics races. Which can be fun.....

What I mean is that he is probably already on US where they can't touch him.

(Removed the other post anyways).
Unless of course the US extradites him back. Because... you know....

Mic, have you ever bought a bitcoin with fiat? Or did you earn them through work, in which ever form that may be.

Unfortunately I haven’t found anyone yet willing to pay me directly in BTC, always had to do the conversion myself. Bitcoin is around for 10 years and I am surrounded by geeks for f*ck sake.
Find work that people who have BTC want/need done. I did miner repair back in the day when people had miners (as opposed to large farms) for BTC/LTC.

bunch of fucking bullshit
Sure. But coherent bullshit.

Does anybody know if there are rules about switching between LIFO and FIFO?

my duckduckfu is failing me

I would be very surprised if you could switch in relation to the same asset. You might be able to apply different rules to different assets.

Edit:  this suggests using FIFO on a wallet by wallet basis.

https://bravenewcoin.com/insights/capital-gains-on-cryptocurrency-fifo-lifo-or-specific-identification
Depends. I use LIFO because as a miner and fixer of things I need to expense costs at the time I am getting the bitcoin. Therefore it makes absolutely no sense to use FIFO (it's operating capital not investments). Truth is you wind up paying the same amount in taxes anyway because as I withdraw more I go deeper into my "stack" into coins made at a high price, and at a lower price.

You just don't change mid-stream. I suppose if you get a new wallet and fill it with new coins you could switch for that wallet, but if you ever move coins from your LIFO wallet into the FIFO one you would have to record the LIFO profit/loss first then use today's price as the basis point for the new FIFO coins.

Either way you're fucked in the long run.

If you didnt spend 5 minutes waiting for an audio tape to load a game, you didnt live the golden age.
I miss my ZX Spectrum..All the squeaks and sounds only to end with an "R Tape Loading error"

10 Rem This is my private key

Save "wallet"

...good luck retrieving it  Grin

YES. 48k. How many hours spent watching those loading lines...?
I live in the same city as Clive. Saw him riding a C5 once, like time was going to tell on that thing and one day he'd be vindicated. Brilliant.
I have a TS1000 upstairs. Little thing can read 2048 tapes if I recall.

If you really want to secure your bitcoin put your key on this:

That's a MAN's computer.

Indeed. Given the amount of fuckage over the past couple of months, 5100 is not a bad place to be.

mother  fucker

goddamnit
Looks like they kicked him out. Poor Julian, he knows too much. I'd give 50/50 odds that he is either quietly liquidated or made the head of the Department of Homeland security.

Nah I don't need to be reminded every time I eat that meat is murder or switch my diet to hers.
Not all of them are big on the murder thing. Most are live and let live, the ones who are judgemental are usually dominating passive aggressive manipulative fucks, regardless of gender.

My GF has been veg all her life and it's no problem if I eat meat with her, she just orders tofu stuff. And though I do like meat, if every meal could be ethiopian food I would not have much of a problem being veg. But it's not, they have kitfo (YUM!) and she tastes delicious.

As any herbivore does to a carnivore.
1874  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 10, 2019, 07:46:49 PM
oh yeah you went vegan for the girlfriend right?
A vegetarian girlfriend is an amazing thing.......

When $6000? When $8000? When Vegeta? When new ATH?

When Lambo?

Fucking hell, just put a fire on, adding coal & making the house warm. I check the price & we’ve gone up $150.

It’s starting to happen again isn’t it Cheesy

Oh God, it's happening!

Shit, now I'm watching it in real time. There goes my afternoon, fuck work.

Problem is they require a constant amount of wind and need to have pretty long blades to be useful. Otherwise they only generate at 30mph winds where they sound like banshees.

Og: Take some pics of the unit before you put it in service, bonus bitpennies if you open it up and post the boards. I'm quite curious and wondering if it's worth the time for me to get one and learn how to fix it. Antminers tend to be the same and I have been bored....

Did you get lost somehow and originally come from another timeline? Please share details.
Sleepy. 3500ish.

Meantime it looks like we're snug in the 5200-5300 range. Not a bad improvement from the 2800-3000 range a few weeks ago.

Progress. But does it mean BC is worth more, or fiat is simply worth less?
1880  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: BitFORCE SC Schematics on: April 08, 2019, 10:25:25 PM
Start by looking at the two sets of 6 FETs, Q4 has one set, Q9 the other. Same as the other side of the board.

I'll bet that one of those FETs is shorted. Probably the high side ones, find it with an ohmmeter. Then remove it, and notice how the short on your 12v line is cleared.
