Hm. 15.5. Still don't need anything. Wonder what I'll be thinking at 30.

Need to remind myself, I do not need a Lambo.

Hm. I built up a bit of a cash reserve this year so I don't have any need to sell bitcoins at this time. Depending on how things go I might pump some cash into LTC and transfer it to bitcoin (less fees) to burn the cash reserve down a bit.

How you holding up Bob?  I think right now the fucking country is united: Everyone's depressed that their guy ain't winning.

Well on my way to being sauced up for a solid afternoon nap; maybe my pending TX will be confirmed by then.

I don't know how a "first world" country like the USA can fuck up a major election ballot count this badly.

It's unbelievably depressing.

*nod* We ain't a first world country anymore Bob. Haven't been for awhile, except for the dollar which is pretty much toilet paper.

The pending tx problem is a big reason I advocate litecoin: If you have a hooker in the room and it's payment time you don't want to dick around with Bitcoin. You want her ass gone in 2.5 minutes or less.....

Meantime....

Maybe we should have Stein be appointed as a compromise.

Could be quite bullish for bitcoin as people get rid of the banana dollars for bitcoins. That should drive up the price in respect to USD, and probably drive up the EU price to a lesser extent as Europeans have to compete with Americans shoving dollars into BTC machines.

Well.... The fact that it was not a blowout points to a simple truth: This is what the people of America want. Really, if conditions this screwed up don't result in a call for change then these are the conditions that people really want in their lives.

Need to think about this one for awhile. The ramifications are interesting.....

Not expecting a civil war, worst case a small insurrection. Most likely is a few boring riots.

Identification facilitates crime.

#1 reason I use my passport for ID: It has my name, DOB, signature, and a stamp saying some Govt says I am who I am. No address, no state/region, no driving history, credit history, or whatever.

If that is what you must know, that is what you will know. No more.

Tribute to a great actor.

What shines...

I still think his greatest performance was as King Richard in Robin Hood (men in tights)

So I should fire up a miner to help this logjam?

So how do they do payment? Bitcoin?

Oh for fuck's sake. I wonder how many people will be scammed by this.

However it is coming up on winter and getting colder. Time to get a miner or two out to keep the house warm.

... Hunter Biden OD?  Shocked Shocked

... anyone else hearing that?
Experiment to see how fast bullshit spreads and what firewalls are in place to prevent it.

It used to take days to get out the news that Mikey's stomach ruptured from pop rocks and soda. Or was it full of cum from a thousand gay soldiers, I forget.

When the markets went down, Bitcoin went down with them. If the downturn is very inflationary, at least at first, Bitcoin should fare well relative to alternatives.
I'm ok with that. Scoop up more cheap coin.

It's like witnessing a hard-left liberal just minutes after the red pill they just swallowed starting to take effect... the hypocrisy is real
Well, because I believe in flat facts over all, I brought up some documents I typed up on finances on election day 2016 and compared the values to election day 2020.

As of today, my net worth (assets minus liabilities) has doubled in value. Granted bitcoin was at 707 then and is at 13,000 now but every asset class I have is way up.

So... there you go. Unlike Bush, the last 4 years really paid off.

(Edit: I did some more analysis: From 2004 to 2008 my NW didn't do anything. From 2008-2012 it tripled, thanks to some deals I made while the world was ending. From 2012 to 2016 it went up 60%. So 100% from Trump is good for a Republican.)

Am I the only one here who thinks like this?  Roll Eyes

Not really. I've been with the Internet since CHAOS days. Granted when AOL came onboard it fucked a bunch of things up, but the basic premises of the net is that anyone can host content. Yes lots of people use stupid ass services, but I can still run a mail server, web server, TOR server, and it's just as valid as Google's trashpot.

Same with Bitcoin. People who want the real deal will still be able to get it, this is a convenience layer on top of it.
