1861  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Liquidity providers to drive market to higher level on: April 30, 2023, 10:38:00 AM
Oscar Swap's ability to offer attractive rewards with lower fees can make it a more appealing choice for users compared to other DEX platforms. The flexibility to withdraw deposited tokens at any time can also be a valuable feature for users who want to maintain control over their funds.

Tell me which Dex that does not have the qualities that you mentioned here?
I think basically most dex also provide attractive rewards and ability to withdraw your deposit at anytime you so desire. What will not be appealing to users is the fact Oscar swap is relatively new, nowadays there are many cases of rug pull by many unknown dex and also the case of hack (mostly staged imo).
Well, there is always room for benefit of doubt and improvement but I think most users only prefer what the majority trust.
Yeah, pretty much generic features without innovation. It's like selling brand a brand new cryptocurrency with gimmicks like it has an immutable blockchain and it's secure and decentralized.
Name does not make sense unless i am missing some meme here and selling having a dex on arbitrum layer seems also pretty weak considering that everyone else including uniswap have offered that for a long time now.
1862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why new projects on arbitrum gets so much attention ? on: April 29, 2023, 10:44:50 PM
Undoubtedly Oscar swap is coming along with great things like arbitrum blockchain , new additions to Dex but to my mind it has been unable to resolve the major issues that are being faced by crypto fraternity. People are scared of scams and frauds due to Dex but nothing has been incorporated in oscar to sort out this issue. Yeild farming will lead to market saturation. Due to repetition of  farming yield feature in every project crytpo market has fell to its lowest , it involves volatile and untested tokens that can destructive for users. Oscar team is lagging behind in digital marketing. No matter how much good your content is , if your page doesn’t appear among the top search results, it will become matter of opinion. To make OSCARSWAP stand out among other project it's team need to find a solution to these problems
Why wouldn't they? It's the hottest layer 2 at the moment and people want to try it out so it gets traffic. I would totally launch anything in that right now if i wanted attention to my project. But it will fade after it will get flooded and filled with scams as bep20 did. Best thing about eth high fees was that there wasn't as much scam projects. I mean there was scams but bsc had exponentially more of them as they costed next to nothing. Same thing will happen with ARB sooner or later imho.

I agree with you, but then, I think there are some gamblers that will disagree with you on this, and tell you that there  are really some strategies, patterns, tactics (call it whatever), through which slot players can enhance their winnings, and one of those strategies is the popular martingale strategy - I believe you already know what is strategy Is all about.

Though to me personally, I don't believe this to be a strategy, since it does not enhance one's chances of winning, it only enhances the pay out, this is if the player is lucky enough to win, - but then, some gamblers still see martingale as a gambling strategy, most especially, for slot games.
Obviously there are people who will not believe me but if those people really would be winning they wouldn't care what i say. In fact they would tell no one about their strategy so they could keep on winning.

Martingale working or not isn't really a matter of anyone's belief, it's mathematically proven not to work. I personally don't mind people using it as they might as well when everything is luck based, anything goes. If you like rubbing a rabbit foot or pray to gods or look for horoscopes it's all good fun in my eyes as it's all luck. As long as they are not betting their house because they are so sure about their superstitions.

But i do get a little annoyed when i see people selling scripts for different kind of strategies and post their "proof" of winnings. That i find immoral.

Venom is another layer 0 blockchain fully controlled by Abu dhabi financial authorities.

From your blog:

Fully regulated by financial authorities in Abu Dhabi
-cut-
So which one is it? Is it controlled or regulated? And how is it controlled and who exactly are these "financial authorities"? Because that's really shady and vague concept.

As to my knowledge UAE has several several different financial authorities, like countries do. So if i google about it, or ask about them, who is going to back your story up and admit that they are controlling your layer 0 blockchain?

And thanks for the potential airdrop tip Smiley. I am just a little skeptical as your post was a little vague.

So you guys were right: it is a valid ERC20 token, but they own the entire supply, and it sounds like they don't have plans to allow you to even withdraw it to your own wallet. There's no market force that could give it value.
As a rule of thumb, cloud mining is ALWAYS a scam. If there would be real legit cloud mining, it would be so unprofitable to buy from a third party that no one would be interested.
There has been so many of these cloud mining scams and even icos that i lost count long time ago. But they come in waves, when enough new people don't know about them and old timers forgot to warn the new ones, they will score some new "investors" again.
1866  Economy / Gambling / Re: Betcrypto.cr |No KYC Casino & Sportsbook| 200% welcome bonus + 100% reload bonus on: April 29, 2023, 09:30:33 PM
Saying that you don't ask KYC ever is basically admitting that you allow money laundering. Don't you think that you are most likely going to be targeted by fatf etc?
I honestly can't even say that if exchanges would allow deposits from your site in the future if your site gets blacklisted because of AML laws.
Anyway, saying no kyc in any situations is a red flag for me and is just telling that there's no law protecting my money after i deposit it to your site.

But i have 2 questions...

1: Is your poker going to be p2p? And if it is, is it going to be similar to pokerstars, with different kind of games and tournaments?
2: where in the world are you located?
1867  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🎉BetFury Affiliate Program is live| 💸Earn with RevShare up to 60% on: April 29, 2023, 03:07:32 PM
Yes, the trick with slot machines is knowing how to bet when you should, why? You cannot bet a very large balance in one spin, because obviously the balance would go away in the blink of an eye, bets on slot machines have to be very measured and have conditions of enjoyment and not regretting what is You are destined to lose, many players who enter a casino are thinking about how much they will win, and what they have to think about is how much they will lose, that way the system will not surprise them and it will make the player mature much faster and have more expertise in slots.
But surely there's no trick on that. There's no way to know when and how you should bet with. If there would be a pattern to recognize, someone would have already abused it to the point that slot devs would need to change the pattern radically. And i often bet large amounts with just one spin. I can either win big or small or lose everything. With enough spins i am only using more time to that result.

Major difference on these tactics are the fact that with other i can spend more time on slots, which can be fun too.

I have some BFG in my Betfury wallet. I get rewards for this. Now I want to withdraw everything I have earned, but I don't want to sell the BFG. I wanted to send my tokens to farming, but that is no longer possible. I want to ask where, can I stake BFG now and get rewards for it, other than Betfury?
You mean to stake to get more bfg tokens? Right? As you can't get dividends in anywhere else then staking them in the betfury site.
I don't know what you mean that farming wouldn't be possible, as it looks like biswap has USDT-BFG farm currently with apy of 60.75%. Is that something you were looking at or some other kind of staking?

1869  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you blame someone for your gambling losses? on: April 28, 2023, 08:46:30 PM
Court sentences mother, son to 7 years imprisonment and what did they do? Court sentences mother, son to 7 years imprisonment

The mother and the son after gambling away 5.6 million naira, that is about $8,000. When the reality dawned on them, they gave false information in petition, accusing someone of fraudulently transferring the fund from their Opay account to the sport betting account without their authorization.

Could this be a case of making someone pay for what they didn't eat or a case of double standard.

Bet as you can sustain and not allow your emotions have a better part of you.
So they can avoid 7 years of jail for paying total something like $700 worth of naira? That's insane! I don't know which is more insane, that both got 7 years per person for giving false information about $8000 worth of naira or you can pay off fraction of that to avoid jail. Those options are hardly symmetric. Are these kind of sentences a common in nigeria?

I once blamed my friend when he called me during roulette and i missed my bet that would have won. But i wasn't even serious as i knew it was my fault. And it's hardly in same category.

I am a parent and i find american conservative fear mongering and misleading podcasts to be a disadvantage as well. Especially when they raport about about countries they know nothing about, or aftermath of any situation. Watch tucker Carlson as well if you like to listen more of lying biggots. No matter what actual experts would say, please don't google experts what ever you do, only christian conservative podcasts, because those wouldn't be twisting reality, now wouldn't they.
1871  Economy / Gambling / Re: justbit.io asks for KYC (their site say NO KYC) then confiscates my winnings on: April 28, 2023, 11:26:30 AM
Do not expect a gambling website to tell you that they will ask for KYC verification after you win some money, if you want to gamble and don't want to pass KYC make sure you ask from the team direct or find a decentralize casino, if they exists, the most important thing to do once you open a gambling website is to read their ToS carefully.

I believe that the majority of casinos today need their customers to pass KYC, I have decided to stop fooling myself that some gambling website is different, they are all almost the same, and the verification requirement is what they are asked to do or they risking prohibition.

Always assume that they are lying if they are telling there's no kyc. Asking directly doesn't really help your situation when they are lying. Almost everyone of them comply with AML laws so they are required occasionally to do KYCs. And when they are working outside of areas that don't require for you to do kyc in any situation. Then assume that your money inside that casino is not protected by any legal entity either. It's just your trust to the casino and that they would deliver.
1872  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russian Invasion of Ukraine[In Progress] on: April 28, 2023, 10:17:14 AM
I would change some things in Russia, but not too much. In general, everything is not bad here, there is something wrong in striving for change for the sake of change. sometimes it seems to me that people in the West have gone mad. All these "parent number one", "parent number two", black foot kissing and other gay parades. Fuck that kind of progress. It seems that being a white heterosexual male in the West is now extremely disadvantageous and I am glad that I was lucky to be born in Russia.
Yeah, we are lucky that you were born in russia as well.

I am pretty sure that your frail alpha male egos is one of the reasons that Russia won't be a superpower in the future. You can't build anything concrete on such a fragile foundation.
I can't see being a hetero being any kind of disadvantageous but maybe it's because my identity is quite strong and i don't get frightened so easily when 2 people of same sex love each other. But it's totally understandable in your case when all lgtb info is banned in russia that you would get disinformation instead. So maybe it's not your fault being ignorant.

Is it better to have  a place to discuss only about NFTs?

I think that would be a good for NFT lovers
You mean that there should be a section in this forum for them? I am not against it but i can't see why those threads wouldn't fit on altcoin section. They are technically tokens as well, and build on top of cryptocurrencies.

And if you want more, then every nft project has their own discord server and there are generic nft discord servers and subreddits out there as well. Twitter is pretty much a mecca for nft hype talk. You can't avoid those threads in here either so there's no shortage on the places that people talk about them.

If graphics aren't a giveaway how seriously they are doing this, let me spell it out for you This is a low effort MLM money laundering scam!

Even without visiting their site i was sure that no third party in the world would have audit their company.

But then i visited their home page Cheesy. I actually started to write a detailed description how any investor in western countries would have no legal way to get their money or "gold" back. But this is not worth my time. Just visit the site yourself and you see all the red flags

They offer staking rewards, which i find hilarious if this would be a real concept. If they weren't selling synthetics, this would cost a lot as just storing gold securely costs money. Yet they throw away the money out from this air i suppose.

There's zero transparency of anything. None of their "lawyers" has even seen this site, i can guarantee you that.

They are saying that over a $1.7 million has been raised with this bep20 "ICO" without offering any proof on that. And they call it a "donation" which i find hilarious also when in retrospect it will get revealed as a scam, so it was a "donation". But it's safe to say that they have raised zero dollars so far and numbers are there only to create hype.

There's so much shady stuff in their FAQ answers that left me stunned. It's like they wouldn't have a clue what they were doing and started this money laundering scam years too late. This is so bad it wouldn't have worked in 2017, and back then everything worked.

Why does a passed-away person, John Mcafee, has something to do with this?
-cut-
John Mcafee endorsed this back in time, but to be fair he endored ton of different shitcoins as he got paid to do it. And now Ghost is still trying to ride with the John Mcafee name (or his ghost if you will), most likely because Ghost has nothing else to offer. Only dead man's promise of a pump that never happened. I find the whole project pretty sad example of how not to do advertising.
1876  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What really makes pastors children rebel? on: April 27, 2023, 10:40:04 PM
In the society we find ourselves today, the issue of rebellion amongst pastor's children is something that has caused a lot of concerns. As Christianity is one of the major religions in Nigeria, a man of God is highly regarded, not just in the society, but in his congregation, and the members look up to their leaders and the expectation that the children follow in the footsteps of the parents is not abnormal. But it's also not a new thing for some of these expectations to not be met as the issue of rebellion can be traced back to biblical times.
For some children, the responsibilities and expectations can be too much that they feel like the only way they can achieve something or be heard is to rebel. While others go astray as a result of negligence.
I've heard some say of a pastor's child who has gone wayward that they have been led astray by evil friends.
Asides from the above listed , what else can push a pastor's child to rebel? Is it too much expectations or what?
Maybe that pastor should look himself at the mirror. Christians has been oppressing people and abusing kids since the religion got started. And LGTB communities as well, especially in nigeria where homosexuality is now illegal. So why would anyone with a heart would feel the need to follow that path of bigotry and hatred? Why not rebel against hypocracy?

Or is rebellion somehow reserved for relationships that don't involve a pastor?

I do not mind the 2FA, to be honest.
It can be useful to save someone whose account got compromised from losing it all in tips or withdrawals by a malicious actor, however I admit that having 2FA in options like sending rain could contribute to big gamblers not to give much away because the hassle and the time it takes.

Only once I had trouble with the Authenticator app, I entered the code and continuously gave me an error. I was able to figure it out when I realize the time on my phone was different from the time on the computer.

I still believe it would be cool if Stake supported physical keys in the future, as security measure.  Smiley
Mind? 2FA is pretty much mandatory requirement on any site that has anything to do with my money or retrieving passwords so obviously i have been using that with casinos. I am also using it with sites that could be used to dox me by looking at ips etc.

I might be paranoid but i am taking this "be your own bank" maybe more seriously then other people as i don't have same security systems in place as banks and permissionless transactions are what they are.
1878  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Carbon NFTs - Climate change tech 2.0 on: April 27, 2023, 10:16:20 PM
Hello Bitcointalk community,

I wanted to bring attention to a new and innovative solution to reduce our carbon footprint, Carbon NFTs by NFTCar.

NFTCar's Carbon NFTs are tied to specific cars that have been scrapped, meaning that for every NFT sold, one ton of CO2 has been removed from the atmosphere. The cost for each ton is $80 USD. The carbon footprint of the car is determined by its age, mileage, and fuel consumption over the next ten years.

What's great about these Carbon NFTs is that they are recorded on the blockchain and government registry, so anyone can verify the reduction in carbon emissions associated with each NFT. This ensures that there is no room for fraud or misrepresentation.

Air pollution is a significant issue globally, responsible for around 4.2 million premature deaths, with cars contributing up to 80% of air pollution in cities. Carbon NFTs provide an exciting way for individuals to take responsibility for their carbon emissions and make a difference.

What are your thoughts on this new technology? Do you think it has the potential to make a significant impact on climate change? Let's discuss.
This doesn't make any sense. Most likely scenario here is that you or your friends own a car stripper bay and you decided that you can make nfts from cars that you would scrap anyway. Because i am pretty sure that those cars you scrap wouln't be polluting anything anymore.

I don't understand why people continue to promote this Climate change scam, do you know the number of funds that have been pumped into this, the funny thing is that those people in charge of this climate change fund have no understanding of the environment. I don't believe there is any climate crisis except the manufactured one so I don't see the need for this project if not to scam other gullible investors off their BTC
Dude, there are ton of peer reviewed research and almost every scientist out there agrees on the fact it's real, and you choose to "believe" otherwise because you feel like it and maybe one scientist said so?
