i click on the hire button but nothing happens  Undecided
i have funds on the site.
i put the pool information but the hire button doesn't work. I don't understand why  Embarrassed

That's probably because you are using Internet Explorer.

nope.
I've tried firefox, chrome, safari, opera - > the same  Cry

That's definitely strange.  Rigs are still getting hired.  Which rig was it that had that issue?

And is there an issue with hiring rigs in IE?  Huh

Yes, is there an issue hiring rigs in IE?   I don't think we have a dev using IE (or windows for that matter) mostly because even multiple world governments have advised against using IE for any reason whatsoever.

There most likely will be problems with IE, since it's the crappiest browser, and it actually somehow lags and does not send queries to the website when you press a button.

Is it bad if my opinion is that IE users should be banished from the internet altogether?

I think that's an awesome idea. Microsoft also should discontinue IE, and implement Google Chrome.
Can't you just display a big red notice saying "PLEASE DO NOT USE INTERNET EXPLORER, IT IS CRAPPY. DOWNLOAD GOOGLE CHROME HERE." if customers are using ie? lol.
That would be awesome!
1864  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: any. thoughts on bit solo mining pool on: May 26, 2014, 05:59:25 PM
I read you can't solo mine with the antminer s1 which is why I looked into this solo pool stuff

I think solo pools are a great tool.

1.  They use the Stratum Protocol.

2.  They propagate blocks to the network faster than ones Bitcoin client would.

3.  They deal with virus signatures in the block chain so that you don't need to futz with your AV settings and risk opening your system to vulnerabilities.

4.  You don't need to download the block chain on your own system.  Which is real important if your using one of those Pi thingies.

But that being said, why can't you solo mine with an Antminer?

Yeah? I thought you could set up a stratum proxy and point it at bitcoin-qt?
1865  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can my Bitcoin be stolen on: May 26, 2014, 05:56:52 PM
Of course, it can be stolen. This is one of the main problems of digital currency

No, it is not a problem if you know how to take security seriously.

No, if I you have a cold offline wallet then not possible.
HOWEVER, if you do not take sufficient security measure when creating a cold wallet, it is possible to get hacked.

Correct. If your computer hasn't been 100% offline, then it's still vulnerable.
1866  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Has anyone used sevengnomes.com? on: May 26, 2014, 05:55:12 PM
I'm planning on getting a gridseed but I have no idea how to solder and do the voltmod, and saw their deal.
Has anyone used them before? Are they legit?
do u use it?

What sort of question is this? I am asking if anyone has used it, because I want to buy from them.
Fuck logic.

1868  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: May 26, 2014, 05:51:51 PM
ps. if u back date it is to set the calculator ...buy price is irrelevant to topic. you just want to get the same btc over period of time.. then use cuurent price and current day- trying to deal with imbeciles and get a question across has left my purpose potentially convoluted - i will revisit later if it is not addressed rationally now

Ok, so it's not even close to term "profitable". Why people are still buying these contracts if it is a total loss?

If the bitcoinwisdom chart was larger, you would see that you will definitely profit over the next 5 years.
Also, stop begging for lower price if you can't afford it. Why should PBMining sell them at a loss?

By the way, difficulty increase was 18% the last time, and 10% before that.
dude stop trolling for them ,,, dont get so but hurt,,,

fuck i have never seen such crybaies,, if you get upset you have misunderstood the post or you are irrrational-at 2.5usd per gh  profitability is lost now... the btc per gh drops still reflect 2.5 usd per gh... if it does become profitable it is 1-2% gain from current buys if u get that.. i see prices are lowered,so you do understand  that pb, but will the 2.5 usd per gh barrier be addressed thankyou

I'm not sure I quite understand your reasoning so I'm not sure how to address this.  We sell the hash power for what we feel we can get for it on the market.  If you feel the price is too steep for whatever reason, then please don't make a purchase!  Smiley

I agree. As I said, why should PBMining lower the prices if they would lose money?
Also, if you think that they are too expensive, don't buy and go away. Also, I am not butthurt, I am merely pointing out facts, and you are making your opinion based on your arrogant attitude, thinking that you are always right. If you think it is unprofitable, prove it, with charts for 5 years.

1870  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Zero Fee 0% Bitcoin Exchange on: May 26, 2014, 11:14:24 AM
Hiring and implementing security measure cost a lot of money.

Without fee, who pay for the security feature?

ANXPRO has other income methods, such as fees on Bitcoin ATMs. Feel free to check us out.

It is NOT a total loss, that guy is a huge gigantic troll. If the bitcoinwisdom chart was larger, you would see that you will definitely profit over the next 5 years.

better too wait for new gear but will they ship ?

If yes how Fast ?

The fury is available on 9th June, and will arrive in 5 days.
The gridseeds are available now, and will arrive in 5 days.
So, what do you guys say?
1873  Economy / Services / Re: PB Mining -- 5 year mining contracts! on: May 25, 2014, 08:52:43 PM
well at $2.5 a gh you lose money so if it is a scam it doesnt matter it takes in more than it pays out, how about lowering the price so it can be profitable again... i know u lower the btc per gh but if u lower btc per gh and its still 2.50 usd per gh it doesnt help make it profitable unless your lowering the the price per gh to reflect the usd/gh as well

https://bitcoinwisdom.com/bitcoin/calculator

here is a calculator that figures in difficulty increases

i want to buy more gh just want it to cost less per gh

Uh... You know that it is profitable?
Your calculations are obviously incorrect, you know, cloud mining does not use electricity or pool fee.
Difficulty increase is around 15% right now.

That's approximately 1GH/s.

1875  Economy / Gambling / Re: EveryDice.com | 0.99% Edge - Instant Cashout - Invest - Referral - Mobile - Fair on: May 25, 2014, 08:20:13 PM
See I personally don't think everydice is looking into rolls, they are considering the ethical decision at hand:

1. Run with the funds since no one knows their identity.
2. Payout 1dice1 and the site ends cause no one trusts them and no one thinks the site is fair or whatever.

Either way the site goes down. So how much guilt is the point where they won't scam is the real question? For 300 BTC thats quite a hefty sum for someone who no one knows and could disappear with.

I agree. That's why I quickly divested my investment and cashed out 2 days ago, when 1Dice won 100 BTC.
1876  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] LeaseRig.net Rent & Hire Scrypt(Jane/Nfactor)/SHA3/SHA256/X11 HashPower! on: May 25, 2014, 06:56:34 PM
May I ask, where is the lease cancellation button for both providers and customers? I can't find them.

We have yet to find a fair solution to who pays whom in terms of the last hour, the fee, etc.  We are also having issues protecting customers and providers from cancellation abuse.

Ideas?

Hmmm... Isn't the current system like this?

Customer > Leaserig > Provider
0.001 for 10 hours > 0.001 > 0.00097/hour

So... If they are 5 hours into the lease and someone cancels.. then Leaserig can pay 0.000485BTC back to the customer, since the fee has already been taken.
So even if the lease gets cancelled, you guys profit. That Okay?
Or, if the customer cancels, then the customer gets paid 0.000485, and if the provider cancels, then the provider gets 0.000015BTC subtracted from the balance.

1879  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Small btc payment stuck for 2 hours :( on: May 25, 2014, 05:18:39 PM
So can someone break this down for me?

Whats the minimum to not wait so long. 0.01?

I suggest 0.0001BTC for small payments.
1880  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie questions on: May 25, 2014, 04:48:58 PM
Well, invest what you can afford to lose. That's all I'm gonna say.
Why ?

Umm... Because if you invest what you can't afford to lose, you could end up in the streets asking for money?
Pretty self-explanatory.
