1901  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: WARNING - Blockchain.info is NOT SAFE on: December 19, 2012, 03:08:40 PM
So, if I have this right.  A scammer gives blockchain.info his bitcoins for safe keeping, scams the guy who runs it, and then complains that blockchain.info might maybe want their BTC back even though that can't happen anyway?

GTFO!

I think I'm going to go buy something off bitcoinstore.com just to counteract your stupidity.

You have it completely wrong.

1. This guy wasn't a scammer. Read the thread.

2. Blockchain.info don't want their BTC back. It's a totally separate business.

3. The problem is, as I said, that Roger Ver has access to a lot of information about account holders and their accounts, and he was prepared to leverage this information to resolve a customer service dispute in a completely unrelated business.

It's a bit rich that you would call me stupid, really.

At this point, your asking me to either believe a long standing, trusted member of the community plus my own interpretation of reading the thread...or believe the scammer.

WHICH WILL I CHOOSE?! It is so hard!

1907  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: December 18, 2012, 09:13:30 PM
Dump alert! - I recommend removing bids, I want to see price fall fast! don't worry we will win the war, secret rockets standing by!

Negative. The dump has been reschedule to next Smarch 29th.
1908  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: no wonder why bitcoin fails on: December 18, 2012, 04:02:33 PM
im astonished that you all fail (oh ye berate me its ok) to see that when the flagship site is not ok, then there is trouble with all btc.

It's your own failure of understanding. The whole point of BTC is that there is no such thing as a "flagship" site. There is no central control. Then the fact that you think BTC is best used for converting into USD and trying to extract from a website hosted in Japan is only further evidence that you're to fault here.  Deny these facts all you want, but you only have yourself to blame here, pal.

We can tell you are mad, but be mad at yourself, OK?
1909  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What will Litecoins be worth in a year or two? on: December 18, 2012, 03:51:36 PM
What are the specific cryptocurrency market mechanisms / conditions that you guys believe will lower the price of LTC to $0 within a year? I'm curious to know... Grin

Offers no benefit over BTC. BTC is established and has an actual market and use.

Litecoin designed for pure pump and dump once enough chumps sign-up.

CASE CLOSED
1910  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What will Litecoins be worth in a year or two? on: December 18, 2012, 03:15:48 PM
I think litecoins will have a value of $0.00 in a year. I might be wrong though Smiley

You're right on the money, good sir.
1911  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: no wonder why bitcoin fails on: December 18, 2012, 03:04:06 PM
ITT: Guy claims bitcoin fails because he can't figure out how extracting USD works on a third party website.

Dude, you might as well claim that cars fail because jet engines are too complicated. In reality, using BTC is infinitely easier than trying to use USD online. Deal with it.
1912  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: December 17, 2012, 02:50:51 PM
Bears, is this all you got? Anyone who didn't check prices all weekend would have never even noticed that you tried your best!
1913  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: December 15, 2012, 06:31:01 PM
It's starting to look like we're pretty dump/panic proof here in the $13s.  I'm starting to think we won't go down below $12 ever again and the single digits are long gone barring any total bad news or reversal in BTC adoption rates.
1914  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: December 15, 2012, 06:03:26 PM
why is Clark Moody still down?   is it b/c everyone is using it to adopt this strategy?

I am getting on it just fine. Cheesy
1915  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Meanwhile on Wikipedia... on: December 15, 2012, 05:58:46 PM
If putting Bitcoin there results in people flocking to fight for the cause of removing it, then strategy wise, I would just leave it alone and try again in 6 or 12 months when Bitcoin is that much bigger and more well known.

+1

While it's nice when we make it on there, or as a community work to meet the "requirements" that would get us onto Wikipedia, edit wars are pointless and are at best harmful.
1916  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why does the hashrate sometimes drop so drastically? on: December 15, 2012, 05:56:27 PM
Just a sign that we're moving from the "print your own money!" phase to "actual economy" phase of bitcoin.

But do expect a huge jump in hashrate when/if ASIC come out.
1917  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: December 14, 2012, 08:17:22 PM
Surely the news that mtgox's Jed and prosper.com founder Chris's joint venture to develop a "better" alternative coin has nothing to do with the dump, for sure.

The only thing Ripple is alternative to is 'good'.
1918  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: December 14, 2012, 08:09:49 PM
I want off this ride! I think I'm, gonna hurl!!!

Seriously tho, I ain't even scurred.
1919  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: December 14, 2012, 07:50:02 PM
I still like my prediction of $14.44 this year but won't rule out a new year high before new years Wink

I also feel that this is a distinct possibility.
1920  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: December 14, 2012, 05:43:56 PM
Heh, another major dump! Only took us down to about $13.60 though.
