The Unreal Tournament series. Still waiting for Plants and Zombies 2 on the PC
1922  Other / Off-topic / Re: Perpetual motion device - Free Energy - Do you believe in it? on: September 28, 2013, 09:53:48 PM
This is the most complete site I know about the topic:

http://www.free-energy-info.tuks.nl/

It's really worthy to check out, and the one that really made me think that alternative methods of energy production are indeed possible.
1923  Other / Off-topic / Re: Hackers could turn toasters into Bitcoin mines as value rockets on: September 28, 2013, 09:46:24 PM
I suspect plenty of you focus too much on the title and barely looked at the article Tongue

1925  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: AMD R9 290X? on: September 28, 2013, 07:00:59 AM
I guess people didn't notice me emphasising bitcoin in my comment.
Yes, however let's pick your example and say that AMD would in fact add hardware accelerated SHA256 to their GPU's. I'd rather buy a $300 videocard hashing at 4 Gh/s than a $275 Japaleno in-hand at 7.5 Gh/s (or similar 30 Mh/$ device), even considering the power usage. I can easily sell videocards to gamers

1926  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] Group Buy #14 USB Miners 0.110 BTC or less! Shipping to USA addresses on: September 28, 2013, 06:49:41 AM
I understand that this is USA only. I wish I could find BE's in Europe at these excellent prices...

Edit: nevermind, think I found it
1927  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [EU/UK GROUP BUY] Blue Fury USB miner 2.2 - 2.7 GH/s on: September 28, 2013, 06:47:01 AM
Waiting for the next group buy. I will be in, hopefully.
1928  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Would you recommend Cloud Hashing? on: September 28, 2013, 06:41:17 AM
The safest is still buying video cards like the 7950, mine alt coins and trade for BTC. ASICs "in hand" are a ripoff, pre-orders are vapor, and either way there are useless for anything else. When this stops being profitable you can still sell the videocards to PC gamers.
1929  Economy / Services / Re: Want to buy BTC? Buy me a 3-D printer and I will pay you in BTC! on: September 28, 2013, 05:46:07 AM
Furthermore, I've seen news about a "molten metal" 3D printer which will probably render plastic/resin only, obsolete. Not sure about the price though

What kind of convoluted crap is this?
1931  Economy / Lending / Re: 17.5 BTC Loan For a Month (Because I got scammed) - Will payback 20BTC on: September 28, 2013, 04:49:24 AM
Look, it's very clear, no need for 5 pages.

If you got scammed, you go to the police. Investigators have ways to figure it out that you can't imagine.

Second, if you want a loan, you need to put collateral on an escrow. No way around this.

1932  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Lifetime Mining Contracts | 1 Gh/s=30$ on: September 28, 2013, 04:35:43 AM
Hey guys,

I`ve just wanted to inform you about our new Bitcoin mining Contract project, called mimocloud. We offer you very cheap Contracts,1 Gh/s only costs 30$. By my knowledge we are the cheapest Mining Contractor on the market. The best thing is, that you are buying lifetime Contracts, mining will only stop when it`s not more profitabel. You can buy as much Gh/s as you like, but if you buy more we offer a reduced price. Mining will start Okotber/November. If you have any Questions feel free to contact us.
Check out our new with our marketplace Site: mimocloud.net

With best regards

mimocloud.net

Are you willing to have the $30 go to an escrow for a period of time?  You are too new for anyone to send you $30 up front.
+1

Use John K, please
1933  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Bitfetch - Anonymous Remote Torrent Downloading on: September 28, 2013, 04:32:05 AM
Very nice. I'm not into pirate content, however I still get screwed by my ISP when I download a Linux ISO or similar. This can be handy. Bookmarked
1934  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Cloud Hashing with Coin Daddy - get your Investment back + 20% PROFIT on top! on: September 28, 2013, 04:12:35 AM
If it is "guaranteed", it's because the investors are funding their hardware.

Let's say I send 5 BTC. They use it to purchase 25 Gh/s (bulk purchases, well below retail). Those 25 Gh mine 6 BTC in 2 months, or a bit less. You get the money back and they have the mining equip almost for free.
1935  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: [ANN] CoinByCall.com - Get paid in BTC for listening radio over the phone on: September 28, 2013, 04:04:01 AM
Just a heads-up that we'll have to remove Portugal by the end of the month Sad   Sorry! So call as much as you can until then... Smiley

Damn!  So many countries and had to be...
1936  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Another new guy on: September 28, 2013, 03:54:02 AM
Crudpuppy, you should try mining the most profitable coin with the GPU. Check out https://hashco.ws and see if you like it.
1937  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 360 second thingy on: September 28, 2013, 03:50:03 AM
It is annoying indeed. However a money oriented forum like this, is a spammers magnet. The initial limitations make it undesirable for bulk posters
1938  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Started GPU Mining, getting Artefacts on: September 28, 2013, 03:45:36 AM
What comes to mind is that the voltage is too low for the core (or RAM), or you mined with a card where the voltage regulators (VRM) are not being cooled. Use GPU-z to check those out while mining. Then, reduce the core and vRAM clock speed
1939  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How they are paying $1 Everyday for all free members? on: September 28, 2013, 03:35:06 AM
They are not only paying free members, they are paying everyone. But you can earn $1 using their free thread only for 30 days. After 30 days your account balance will be $30 but you are not able to buy 1 thread if you don't have $50, so you have to invest $20 more to continue your earnings.

They are scam.

Can you withdraw the $30 without investing ?

no, it has been proven again and again to be a ponzi scheme. they only keep the shills accounts open so they can post "proof" to skid forums, then they close down all other users' accounts for "suspicious activity" to pay their shills.
Indeed! Their chat is infested with shills, too.

I'm locked AFTER "purchasing" a thread. It ended up costing me $6 due to the 30 day trial and referrals, but I mined the equivalent of those $6 in 3 days, so I thought "what the hell". Now, they are demanding ID card and other scans. I'd be insane to dump such private info on the internet (handwriting, pic, fingerprint, personal data...)
1940  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 360 second thingy on: September 28, 2013, 03:28:46 AM
Look man, be patient. It took me a few days to get out of newbies jail, a while more for the limits to drop, but eventually I did stick around and don't regret it. Excellent scene and community!
