Destroy the economy and nobody has any reason or funds to travel. Simple.

We need to sit down and watch some Mad Max movies Richy. Do you have Leather chaps by chance?

That depends why you're asking.

Though in fact, whatever the reason, the answer is no. That's more a Harley guy kinda thing.

I used to have a colleague at work who would use the term "assless chaps" whenever trying to insult someone's masculinity; strangely, he would always giggle afterwards as if it never got old.  Every time I heard him say it, I would remind him that all chaps are assless but he never stopped saying it (or giggling).  I might not have as sound a case as I did with the "assless" aspect but if your chaps aren't leather, you're probably doing it wrong.

Voila, sold my DOGE (which were bought in summer 2019) for some extra bitcoins.
Patience is everything, glad I could finally get rid of them.

And now pump it to 100k+

Planning to ride this bull as:

Like i could do the fucking math and figure out the dollar amount but at that point I rather just pay the fucking TX fee.

I usually just go to https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/ , find the lowest amount that'll get the coins there in the timeframe I want and throw that in there. As long as things aren't too volatile, it's usually accurate enough.

I attach a modest fee and if my tx hasn't gone through, I use ViaBTCs free accelerator which resets exactly on the hour and allows 100 free accelerations as a community service.  I don't use it very often but it never fails me.  The other day I attached a 51 sats per byte fee which was within 2M from the top of the tx pool.  Fourteen hours later I checked and had 0 confirmations.  The number to get to that same position had moved to high 80 sats per byte.  On the next hour I tried ViaBTC accelerator and it was confirmed with the next block ViaBTC found.  Kudos to ViaBTC for this thoughtful gesture.

vaping can both make it easier and harder to quit cigs. easier because, unlike a cig, it wont stay lit till its done (cigs add chemicals to keep it burning, contrast that with a cigar with no chemicals.. it goes out when you leave it). so, light a cig and you pretty much are forced to smoke the whole thing as its gonna burn down to the filter anyway. plus it coats everything with that nice orange gunk.. (smokers just look at your computer innards and fans.. eeeew man mine were soooo disgusting).

vaping. press the button, inhale or once or twice, put it back in your pocket nice and neat, done. and those subzero mods can put out clouds of vapour of sizes that you have to see to believe. and no ash, no ashtrays that stink, no orange coating in the rooms etc. of course theres maintenance - cleaning, replacing seals, coils etc. but thats was actually an attraction to me.. kinda calming doing coils maintenance and whatnot.

[...]

I'm against smoking in general, but the way you describe vaping makes me want to try it. I see colleagues and friends with these vaping machines that look so high-tech, like some kind of weapon that came out of an alien ship or something. OLED displays, coil resistances, wattage, energy reserves.  Cheesy

I wouldn't touch these with a stick. There are findings that the liquids based on oils containing vitamin-E harm the lung tissue.
Oil based vapor is that thick, white foggy very opaque vapor. In comparison, vaped herbs produce very light, transparent vapor just like when you heat up water on a stove.

I use a mobile vaporizer, very rarely, but it's manually heated with a pocket lighter. A bi-metal cap making a click sound when the right temperature is reached and then the taste/efficiency depends on how strong you draw. Looks like sucking on a crack pipe a little  Cheesy
You can vape tobacco too, but you have to manually clean it quite often.
At home i use the "volcano" table-top vaporizer. It's the best you can get, it's running almost daily for over 15 years now, just had to replace a broken switch two years ago. The best thing is, you can make hash-dope from the debris. Black, oily stuff which knocks you off your socks and also brown, dry hash with a lot of herb fiber.
I also make chocolate with the remaining herb, after vaping it twice, still has plenty of potency.
This way it also becomes three times cheaper to vape mary j.

Enuff with the offtopic now. Y'all know i'm a weed connoisseur, already  Grin

Yupp

A friend of mine from my old job started vaping instead of smoking. He got a cough so severe he had to pull over if he was driving because he was on the verge of blacking out (he's a lorry driver).
When he switched back to cigarettes the cough disappeared.

The cough was his lungs trying to heal themselves.  He blew it.

Any advice on how to stop Smoking Cigarettes?  Grin

Every time you feel like a smoke, give your knuckles a good crack with a rubber mallet.  Either you wont want to smoke anymore or you wont be able to hold a cigarette.

edit: when I quit, I just quit. There were 3 rough days - I substituted the cigarettes for gum and sugar-free candies.

Thanks Mr. Elduderino_!  There are just too many good posts and not enough merit to go around.
While I may run out of merits, I will never run out of appreciation for the people who make the WO awesome.  There are so many unique personalities and views represented here.

#16: CENSORSHIP...AND THE COMPLETE ABSENCE OF SCIENTIFIC DEBATE

Nothing  personal to all of you guys hoping vaccination will solve all problems but... if anyone of you @experts@ could trash this piece of work would be highly appreciated .

I was almost ready to get this vaccine but somebody sent me this link yesterday afternoon.

https://www.deconstructingconventional.com/post/18-reason-i-won-t-be-getting-a-covid-vaccine

Do your own research and decide either way.

This article is an advertisement to encourage you to subscribe to the website's dubious health program through promoting fear and ignorance.
While the writer has already been vaccinated.
A first grade kid could trash all 18 lame excuses.

If there was an article '18 reasons to ditch Bitcoin' would you sell?
Likely you would research who was behind the article and their motive.
(Like Oh yeah Craig Wright sponsored the article to dis Bitcoin and promote his shitcoin or Big Corporation X wants an in to Bitcoin and needs to get your coins at a cheaper price etc.)

My healthy 32 year old daughter non smoker, organic diet, active outdoor pursuits, caught Covid and spent 8 days in hospital seriously ill. 2 months on she still has some mild symptoms noticeably poor sense of smell and taste plus minor fatigue.

Her ordeal made it an easy decision for me to get vaccinated.

Yeah.  We live in the age of a lack of nuanced views.  You are either a racist or an ally. Covid is either a biblical plague or a world government conspiracy.  One of positions I dislike the most is the whole "Trust the Science" bullshit.  Another black and white nonsense, and one of the least scientific things you can say.  Science is a trust-minimized discipline.  At least it is supposed to be.

I am sure covid is being used by TPTB to push agendas.  And it *might* have even been a planned psyop from the beginning.  And maybe it's also a biblical plague, lol.

I had a close friend who got it.  Spent weeks in the hospital over 4 admissions.  Not only did it nearly kill him, seriously damage his lungs, but it precipitated a heart attack.

It is a serious public health challenge.  It has overloaded the healthcare systems in areas that have suffered strong surges.  And many of the governments of the world (and in my country states) have made choices on how to deal with it that range from draconian to flippant.  But I personally think we have been tilted WAY to the draconian side.

The vaccine *is* new tech, and rolled out without nearly as much testing as it would normally get.  It *could* have downstream effects we have not anticipated.  I also think mRNA treatments might be the basis for cures of many other diseases we have been trying to eliminate for decades.  Also, not everyone needs it.

Anyway...  God bless your daughter... sorry she had to go through it.  Not fun, I know.  And sobering to deal with effects so long after it's over.

In fairness to the middle-of-the-road types, there were quite a few saying "It's just a flu bro!".

How did you come to the conclusion that the writer has been vaccinated?  He has not been vaccinated against covid.  If you read the article again, you'll find that the author has been infected with covid and he posts a link to an article that says "Scientists warn vaccinating people who already COVID could potentially cause harm, or even death."

I'm glad your daughter has recovered, perhaps you should follow that link with an open mind; there is a chance her body could overreact to the vaccine since she's already been infected.

"When a vaccine reactivates an immune response in a recently infected person, the tissues harboring the persisting viral antigen are targeted, inflamed and damaged by the immune response."

edit: I had severe cat allergies and opted for immunotherapy (weekly injections of cat proteins for several months to retrain my immune system).  While undergoing the therapy, if I was around a person who owned a cat, the injection site was the first place I would feel a reaction.  That area would become swollen, sore and itchy first.

Nice.  I am getting 2 sheds to replace the 28 year old 1 shed I have. I will be losing 96 sq ft of space and gaining 112+ 112 = 224 square feet of space

Also nice. I was going to be building a 12x20 right about now but lumber prices have more than doubled so I think I'm going to hold off a bit to see if they settle in the next few months.

Bitcoin has more than doubled as well - you're fine!

Is the laser eyes fad over now? Can I change back to my old avatar?

It has taken so long, I can't remember if the laser eyes was for $100k BTC or getting the covid vaccine.  Either way, No!

Fun fact, ABBA got famous by winning the Eurovision song contest in 1974 in Brighton, I watched it with some friends at a friends place in Rosengård (now a no go zone) and then biked home in the middle of the night, I was 14 and it was totally safe.
The song is called Waterloo, enjoy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vp1_OKawHYw

No need to watch.  That song is hard-coded into my brain.  I wish my private keys could do that!
