While the subject of fast food is still freshly on our minds  Grin,  I wanted to share a YouTube channel I stumbled upon:

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCIix6MklfJFywa_36iDj8Sw/videos

Here's a link to a woman making lamb burgers from scratch, literally, even the buns. This should inspire Torque to even bigger and better things with his burgers:

https://youtu.be/gq1DFcl67x4 - it's their most watched video.

Backstory:
I was perusing the thousands of IPTV channels I have one night and I found a program on the GEM Food channel from Iran with a middle aged woman cooking shit loads of food outdoors over wood fires while her husband does odd jobs around their farm which appeared to be in a mountainous region.  In the first one I saw, they didn't speak at all and there was footage of their pets playing in between shots of them cooking and doing odd jobs.  It was months later when I saw another one and the other day I decided to find out the name of the program.  Somehow I managed to figure out who they are and from there I found the YouTube site but I absolutely love their videos which are from various times of the year and the scenery is awesome - very relaxing to watch which helps a lot while waiting for bitcoin to meet my expectations Smiley

Here's an article about them:

Life in village. Gusar residents share delicious food recipes

By Laman Ismayilova

There's something about cooking on the open fire and eating far away from city hustle buzzle.

Fresh air, unspoiled nature make some food recipes so delicious and nutritious.

Called "Northern Gates" due to its geographical location, Gusar will certainly amaze you with its mouthwatering dishes.

The region is largely populated by Lezgis, a Northeast Caucasian ethnic group, who cook some of the most delicious dishes.

A trip to Hil village offers you a great chance to meet friendly locals and try some of the best food recipes.

The village's residents Aziza Ramikhanova and her son Amiraslan have attracted the attention of millions of viewers on social networks. Their cozy and comforting food recipes has left no one indifferent.

Amiraslan Ramikhanov is a professional chef who had been working in one of the restaurants in Baku.

Returning to his native village due to pandemic, Amiraslan did not stay away from his favorite profession.

Together with his mother, he continued to delight food lovers with various food recipes vie his Youtube channel.

Aziza Ramikhanova is also an incredibly talented cook. Her mouthwatering recipes are extremely popular at all weddings in Hil village.

The Ramikhanovs usually film their culinary videos on their farmland near their village. A charming house was built on the area to make filming process even more exciting.

The family, who is mainly involved in vegetable growing, makes two cooking videos a week. The Ramikhanovs prefer cooking from fresh veggies which grow in their yard. The videos are shot and edited by Amiraslan Ramikhanov himself.

Speaking about Gusar it is impossible not to touch upon its historical monuments that extended infinitely in all directions.

The historical monuments are protected in the region. The remains of the fortress walls of the village of Anigof of the 13th century, the mausoleum of Sheikh Juneyd near Hazra village, ancient mosques in villages of Hil, Anig, Balagusar, Yasab, Old Khudat, Gunduzqala are such kind of monuments.

Laza village is boasting stunning landscapes so varied and dramatic that every day is an unforgettable there.

The most ancient landmark of the village is the historical mosque, located in the center of the settlement. The mosque is more than 300 years old.

Surrounded by mountains, Laza is well known for its majestic waterfalls. Competitions on climbing are held at the frozen waterfalls in winter here.

Being a favorite tourist spot, Gusar offers its visitors a wonderful recreation experience at Shahdag Mountain Resort.

The Complex is Azerbaijan’s first ski resort and it differs from similar facilities in the world for its uniqueness and diversity. Year by year the number of tourists discovering this beautiful resort increases.

The Shahdag Complex stands 2,500 meters above sea level and serves as an outstanding getaway with its rich nature, fresh air, and a good climate.

Is it WAR Observer or Wall Observer here ?

Well for those native Japanese speakers among us, it could go either way.

2008? wasn't that the invasion of Georgia?
Ukraine was invaded 2014 if I recall correctly.

Edit: yepp https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russo-Georgian_War

You're right!  The strange thing is, I knew that the Georgia (not Ukraine) invasion happened very shortly after the 2008 NATO conference in Bucharest where Georgia and Ukraine sought membership but that flag in the post confused me.  I did a bit of research and it turns out that imageshack.com might be replacing dead links with images of the Ukrainian flag with the text "No War" on them.

Georgia invaded South Ossetia and Abhazia killing many Russian peacekeepers. Only after that Russia intervened to kick them back.

 Noted.   The timing was coincidental.
I was trying to figure out how the flag got into the original post and as I suspected, imageshack is injecting content.  I found another old blog post from Sept. 2010 (coincidentally it's about McDonalds!! Not part of my search but I guess I'm being monitored closely) with the Ukrainian flag image and when I go to the image link there is nothing there but in the post it shows up as this (I added some red lines).

Not your keys, not your images!

I don't think Ukraine is going to win. Its last promised counter-offence in August so far hasn't materialised.

More like crypto down a big black hole as usual, like with Lana Rhoades but on a bigger scale.
It all sounds good and looks great and you think you are going to get something out of it, but absolutely nada in the end.

 Roll Eyes

Point is not who will win the war. Point is that the the donations are being used for war. But I think these should be used for aid, not for weapons.

I was searching the internet for reasons totally unrelated to war when I happened upon the Comodo forum which contained really old information.  As I scrolled toward the bottom hoping to be able to move to the most recent entry, I passed over this and thought I must be close to the most recent entry:

I had almost forgotten that this war is older than Bitcoin.  I don't think anyone is going to "win".

My first job in the 80s was BK...

Did your burgers look like the advertisement, or the actual whopper?

Are you guys intentionally goading me into more unhealthy research?  Well, I haven't had a whopper since my daughter had her last orthodontist appointment which was pre-covid so I guess I can do it.  To bad it isn't Whopper Wednesday.  I'll have to pull a sirazimuth and eat one (or three) on the wrong day but rest assured it's all in the name of science and I assure you, I wont be enjoying it at all.

Speaking of Mickey Dee’s…
Ever since I was a youngster, I’ve always had a penchant for those filet of pressed, processed, greasy crunch coated fish
scraps on a puffy (usually deflated) Wonderbread bun, complete with the bright orange half dried glue substance,
topped with a huge gob of green speckled, shiny, off-white goo that dribbles out the side on the first bite
and lands in one’s crotch, looking like a giant birdshit.
So…. last week, upon developing ravenous munchies, after a puff of my home made hashish and subsequently
scarfing three of those disgusting concoctions, I felt like utter crap for the next 2 days….
I can’t imagine why…..

Those are strictly for Catholics on Fridays!  No wonder you feel like crap... eating three filet-o-fish on a Thursday no less.  You're lucky to be alive Smiley

@JJG
The Egg McMuffin is the only item on McDonalds menu that is made with fresh eggs.  I guess I'm on the way over to MickeyDs this morning again for research purposes of course.  You doubters are really bad for my health; I had planned on eating a broccoli, flax seed and dark chocolate protein shake for breakfast this morning.

@Torque
It's not because I'm lazy*;  my English muffin recipe takes nearly 2.5 hours from start to finish and I'm hungry now.  Also, I haven't purchased processed cheese since my school days.

*Only applies in this particular instance.  I have been known to be lazy in the past.

Well it seems like McDonald's hamburgignons aren't so bad after all.

 highlights of the FAQ

It's all beef

After all this research, I have a hankering for a double hamburger.

Of course, those aren't necessarily cooked to order so the double quarter pounder is probably a better option.

All in the name of research of course.

One of best use case of Augmented Reality I have seen so far. HoloLamp company has created a device that will help you view dishes listed in Restaurant menue in 3D form via AR interface. This will gives you fair idea of how food looks like and serving size.

Nice.  Soon enough we wont even need an imagination.

I'll have this thing you call "surreal hamburger with frenchified fries".

This is really great tech for people who have never seen a hamburger, sushi and perhaps tech since the 19th century.

WELL, to be fair do you think people would actually get up and go out for Mcdonalds if they just looked at a picture of what the garbage their going to be handed as opposed to the doctored marketing photos these corporate scumsuckers are bait and switching?

That wasn't what I was driving at but since you made me think about it, I would say, "No." and yet there are thousands of McDonalds worldwide pumping that shit out for hundreds of thousand repeat customers on a daily basis.  You would think that eventually they would realize what they're being shown on the menu isn't exactly what they're being served.  There must be other "tech" we aren't yet privy to in play.

NB.  The only thing I get at McDonalds and only once in a blue moon is their egg McMuffin and coffee.

Government is a bottomless pit for spending your tax money inefficiently.

A previous UK Prime Minister famously said "The trouble with Socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money" - Margaret Thatcher.

My wife tells me sanitary pads are 8 cents each in Walmart $3.82 for 4 dozen. Im sure its same over in Scotland.
Its more a case of people have had their self reliance, resilience and self respect stolen from them by issuance of never ending welfare so that government has more control over individuals to the point some folk need their own asses wiping for them now.

What really bugs me about the whole tawdry affair is the playing down of the fact that it's the taxpayers' money.

Last year when the Ontario government was pushing covid vaccinations they ran commercials saying the shots were paid for by the government of Ontario.

WTF? Do you think the politicians and civil servants go into their personal bank accounts to pay for this? Not a chance.

The money comes from the middle/working classes. The rich have ways to avoid taxes and the poor simply take. It's the rest of us who pay.

So I replaced the defrost thermostat in my fridge and had a hard time starting when I plugged it back in.  The compressor would try to run then quit so I unplugged it to reset it a couple of times and finally the compressor ran, temperature came down and I thought all was well.  I turned on the ice maker before going to bed.  This morning I had water rather than ice but I had done so much research on refrigerators that I was able to pinpoint the issue to the start relay.  I checked it and it had zero continuity; unfortunately there are no parts places open today.  I wish I had picked one up yesterday while I was there but I was overconfident1 in my diagnosis.  I decided to take it apart to see how it worked and was surprised to see a ceramic or semi-metallic disk sandwiched between the prongs.  I pulled it out and it looked corroded so I gently sanded it and the contacts with some fine sandpaper and put it back together.  The continuity tester beeped so it's all good.  I reconnected everything to the fridge and plugged it in - the compressor started immediately.  If it starts making ice, then I'll purchase a new start relay tomorrow; they're about $25 each.

1  I was so overconfident that I took JJG's advice and used the ~$2k I would have spent on a fridge to buy more corn and ramen.  Meh... who needs a fridge anyway?  Winter is coming so I can store my meats, cheese and coffee cream on the balcony.

NB.  The start relay was so much easier to access and remove than the defrost thermostat sensor though the parts are equally priced.  You don't need to be well-versed in yoga to change the start relay but the thermostat sensor requires some contortions.

You should add Tom Cruise. And one of the assassinated Bogdanoffs, the chubby one. Also Lady Gaga or some sh!t like that.  Cheesy  Cheesy

Oh man! That's an awesome idea!  I wish I had time today but I have to replace the defrost thermostat in my refrigerator before my wife or the food from it kills me.  My first instinct was to replace the whole thing but the model we wanted isn't available for delivery until early November ffs.

Last Selfie Ever Taken on OpenAI's DALL-E:

Interesting how these AI think about the scenarios.

Wait, so this AI is predicting that the last selfie is taken by the guy in blue on the left with a really, really long arm and happens to catch the guy in white on the right with normal length arms taking a selfie at the same time?

You didn't mention Biden or Pelosi...your account must be hacked.

I was watching ZuTV and this Charlie Puth video came on in which he buys $100 worth of bitcoin and gets a thumbs up from the trainer.  The only reason I watched it long enough to see it was that I was trying to figure out if the "trainer" was Billy Banks from the Tae Bo craze.  (it is and he's still in pretty good shape - I'm thinking about taking up Tae Bo now)
