1941  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SHIB Listed in Robin Hood on: April 15, 2022, 04:06:11 PM
I would say that it is exactly the opposite reason to buy some more, it just got high because of getting listed and nothing more. It shouldn't increase more than the market average, anyone who makes their profit here, will sell and leave for another coin that is down right now.

Look at bitcoin, even the top one dropped under 40k after a long time and I think if you made 20%+ profit from shiba then there is a good chance you could drop a lot more so get out and buy bitcoin and wait for it to recover. This is just me though, maybe robinhood listing would get a lot more attention to it and everyone will jump in and the price would skyrocket, who knows? I could be wrong.
Let the people lose their money. I do not care because people are overhyped about the current situation and they have no idea what they are doing. I wouldn't mind because it is just their money and they will be the ones who are disappointed with the results.

This will teach them a lesson and they will become better investors in the future and they will come back with a lot better knowledge of the market out of this. I know that it will mean that some other people made money from it as well, whoever sells at the top, and gets out, and gets into something more serious will be able to make money and that is the people we want in the market these days.
1942  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How has trading been for you during this Ukraine and Russia war on: April 15, 2022, 01:15:22 PM
Some of the differences are seen here and some are not seen here. What has not been seen yet is the same but the risk here is instability and since trading has been talked about it is not always going to win.  In the event of a war, even if we do not see the market as fully flowing here in trading activities, the price will go down and that is normal.
The inconsistency of the market is the problem for me, I keep seeing stuff that would be easy to handle if I could, but usually that ends with me having absolutely no result at all like I expected, then I expect nothing and suddenly I get a good result.

Like yesterday I made some small investment to grow my bitcoin amount and nothing more, I had no expectation that it would go up, but it went up a little bit, if I was trading then I would have made some profit, not a huge one of course but combine all these small ones and you get something big yearly. The war causes the market to be a bit more volatile than usual, which was already volatile compared to other markets.
1943  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will switch to PoS in Q3 2022 on: April 15, 2022, 06:02:03 AM
I guess its due to the fact that people have expected a lot when we've first heard about the transition. So it's better if they are always like that which they don't give accurate timeline when it will be exactly going to happen. The best thing to do right now is if it will literally going to be on that quarter.
It is not really about having the same type of situation when you know it will be Q3 or not. I mean if it is q3, then we could arrange it accordingly, if it is not Q3 then we could arrange our portfolio accordingly. I have increased my btc and eth holdings a lot in the past 3 months, over all the other altcoins, only because I believe that btc will be the first one to go up on the next bull cycle and ETH will be going up when the PoS happens.

This is a very important breaking point in crypto, if ETH could turn into PoS and have low gas fee, that will mean that many projects will be finally getting the attention it deserves but lacked due to gas fee.
1944  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Short term investment suggestion on: April 15, 2022, 05:15:37 AM
Yes sir I need some suggestions for long term coin . Which coin is best for long term I see Binance delist coin and going down . I already hold Dot and FTT .
If you want to invest in a long-term coin, you can select bitcoin and forget the other coins because bitcoin will fit what you want. But if that is about short-term investment, I can not suggest the coin because too many coins can be the candidate. But you can try with ethereum and binance, as I see, those coins can go up after it is down but still, you need to search for more info before you buy the coins. DOT and FTT can be a good coin for the short term but that will depend on how bitcoin move.
Exactly right. If you want to buy and forget, you can't really get better than bitcoin, not just in crypto but in the whole world. There is no other investment in the entire world that would be as good as bitcoin and its returns in the next 10 years, there could be some small altcoins, there could be some tiny companies that grow big, but finding them would be the hardest job as well and you would be risking too much money with it.

Whereas, you could just end up with something much better if you just ended up with bitcoin because it is definitely amazing when we are talking about returns, and it is right there, there is basically nearly no risk in it at all.
1945  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you spread BTC to people within you on: April 14, 2022, 09:03:26 PM
I don't understand people who promote bitcoin at the expense of other people. Especially with older parents. In addition to the fact that adult children should not depend on their parents at all, but, on the contrary, help them, I see conversations to attract investment with parental money.
Looks very childish. To experience all the benefits of bitcoins, you need to invest your own money earned on your own. And only then conclude how much you can lose and how much you can win.
You may want to help your parents in multiple different ways. If you imagine that I do not, that is on you and I have no obligation to provide any proof that I do help. However, the need to tell them to buy bitcoin so that they could be richer when they are even older should be understandable thing.

I am not saying that we shouldn't help them ourselves with our own money, but at the same time we may want to help them with their money as well. I am not expecting them to get into bitcoin so I could get rich, I am hoping that they get into bitcoin so THEY could get rich. Who wouldn't want their parents to live a wealthy life? Even if I see zero dollars from it, I would be so happy to see them become rich one day.
1946  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: New York imposes a permit for Crypto companies on: April 14, 2022, 11:25:54 AM
you dont need to physically exist in NY to be beholdened to needing a licence just to serve NY customers.
so in the entire world of thousands of businesses.. only 30 have succeeded in getting a bitlicence to serve NY citizens. the other THOUSANDS of businesses have to IP ban NY customers and reject serving customer that reveal that they live in NY

yet. an exchange can serve texas customers with no need to get licenced. because texas does not view crypto as a currency nor money.

oh.. and by the way. NY does recognise crypto as currency and money. so not only do you need a bit licence for the bitcoin side, but also a money transmitter licence for the fiat side.

i see texas as being more bitcoin friendly...
.. the fatal flaw of bitcoin was when it was reclassified as a currency/money instead of a asset product.
being an asset product, services are treated just as retailers when doing swaps for fiat. (the route texas currently sees it)
being a currency/asset triggers the whole fiat licencing(many states including NY) but NY has a separate licence ontop of the fiat licence requirements
Texas and California is definitely much better, it allows people to be a lot more free when getting a license, and it allows people to grow. Coinbase is a company based in California and they had a stock listing last year, that should show you how much you can grow when you are there. They got listed in Nasdaq if I am not wrong, which proves to everyone that we are talking about a great growth rate if you are there.

New York is losing customers and money this way, it is not something they should be proud of, I mean not like these companies are amazon like places, they are actually paying their employees good and allow people to make money as well.
1947  Economy / Speculation / Re: If Russia goes full Bitcoin adoption on: April 14, 2022, 09:08:19 AM
Without a doubt something like this would be incredibly problematic for bitcoin, however it is not as simple either as the institutional investors that are coming to this market have great influence on the American government and a movement like that would affect them, so even if at some point the US tried to ban bitcoin or something like that they will need to give time to those institutional investors to get out of their positions, something which could take years as some of them have invested a complete fortune in bitcoin.
I do not think that it would take years before it happens, surely it wouldn't be overnight but it could happen in a year or two as well. This is the same banks that we talk about that got out of 2008 basically unharmed, sure a bit of harmed in short term but unharmed in the long term. They wouldn't care about retail investors anyway.

However, we need to realize that that would require federal law and I doubt they would have that, a banned crypto federal law doesn't sound realistic, there are companies now all over the nation working in the crypto world, meaning they actually spent a quite bit of money and paying good taxes, doubt they would change that.
1948  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best DeFi Projcet 2021-2022 on: April 14, 2022, 08:35:10 AM
In your opinion, what is the DeFi project to keep on radar and study and which DeFi projects do you consider new gems and have you already bought them?
I must admit, the trend towards DEFI is still an ideal spot to follow with some speculation.  In fact, the subsequent ability to stimulate defi continues to get the right response which I think is an important part of a scalable stable coin.  It keeps the challenger ecosystem unchallenged from any regulatory pressure.  Luna, Uni or Lucky Block, CLY are some of my defi coins.  I have distributed some % of them in my catalog.
The difference between last year and this year is that last year we had projects that just copy pasted the code from pancakeswap and created a brand new thing with the exact same code aside from the design and still got like hundreds of thousands of dollars, some even millions. I mean we have seen so many different shit projects that got 500+ bnb at that point that I am not so sure if it helped the crypto world at all.

These days we only have support for the real good ones, and the ones that stood the test of time. The ones that stay right now at top levels could stay for many years to come and I believe that they will even grow bigger in the future when the next cycle comes.
1949  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba made its way to Robinhood on: April 14, 2022, 07:02:46 AM
it's good to see that is happening right now. It seems like the pump is happening right now and i will be expecting this token to go up drastically. In my opinion that when you will be seeing another pump for shiba inu as we know how hard robinhood users are pumping GME so the same thing will be happening with shiba inu as well very soon. Shiba is the only one from five crypto in total that got listed on robinhood. I would like to know that what will be happening once more and more crypto will be listed on robinhood. Crypto become more and more familiar to the stock traders
This may be a short term move because if the listing on robinhood, might not be something that is going to last long term. Maybe in the future? Sure there is going to be an increase in the market in the future. SHIB is good, so we can expect more adoption from exchanges and more trends in the future. To me, it seems to be besting all other meme coins and even Dogecoin which is the father meme coins. With SHIB getting listed on Robinhood and more people getting to know about it with these trends, they would trading and investing their money in it and believing there is going to be more of this in the future.
1950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: April 14, 2022, 05:31:44 AM
It's a huge blow for Red Bull and Verstappen.  But it also doesn't mean that Ferrari doesn't have the fastest package of the season as of now.  Obv their power unit has been way better than last year.  Check out the other cars using a Ferrari power unit.  They're also having better results.

Red Bull would need to get lucky and have the Ferraris finishing a couple of races without points to close the gap.  But seeing how consistent Leclerc is, I pretty much doubt it's happening.
It is both about the car being faster and the engine being better, but it is also about how they handled the new regulations as well. You have to realize that this year is a new year and with a new car everyone had equal chances and Ferrari knew this and put most of their money into this year's car.

Last year, since the battle for the champion went to the last race, both Mercedes and red bull kept on spending money on their last years car to win it all, which worked for both of them since one of them got driver championship and the other got the constructors, but to be fair that resulted with both teams being worse than Ferrari this year because of it.
1951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: April 14, 2022, 04:32:31 AM
Moving to the next round of the World Cup is not something impossible for Japan but to win the World Cup is something completely different, if I remember correctly South Korea was able to reach the semifinals of the World Cup when they hosted it together with Japan at the 2002 edition of the World Cup.

However this was done with luck and with some doubtful decisions by the referees, and even then it was only enough to reach the semifinals, so I doubt the current level of Japan is enough to be able to get the win during this tournament.
Even going to next stage is good enough, that is a very tough task but at the very least it is just 3 games there. Between Spain and Germany it should be quite close to impossible as it gets for them to go to next stage. I mean if they could beat one of them then they have a bigger chance but which one could they beat? Both Spain and Germany is miles miles ahead of Japan and should be beating them very easily.

I get that it is not an easy task to beat any team when it is elimination process, it's group stages and one bad game from either of those teams and Japan would be higher, but the same could be said about their winning it all chances if we look at it that optimistically.
1952  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2021/2022 on: April 13, 2022, 09:41:06 PM
The Top 4 battle is only between Arsenal and Spurs. Arsenal will be having 3 games in a week from Saturday. This comes after consecutive defeats to Crystal Palace and Brighton. It is important they pick themselves up in these games or else they won't make top 4 position. They just have to keep winning their games and then hope Tottenham Hotspur slips up.
With current form and coming matches most chances Tottenham is going to stay at fourth spot because Arsenal lose their chance after very poor result in last four matches and Tottenham already fight back and having amazing form which is helping them for staying here and Conte's magic is working for them at the end of this season which is amazing job from Italian legendary manager.

Arsenal were hot favorite for this spot but sadly their recent form and unpredictable form bring back them to fifth which is a strong case for them now. From remaining matches Arsenal is having some tough opponents which is also now having things against them with their current form and Tottenham is very aggressive in their approach for fourth spot which is need of time, and they are doing this on right time.
1953  Economy / Speculation / Re: What do you think about Bitcoin? on: April 13, 2022, 09:22:03 PM
There's more positive news than the fuds but I too wonder that the price didn't increase but instead it falls down more evenly, will this mean that fuds are now more stronger than the positive news? Hmm.. or it can be because many newbies have entered crypto lately and they are easily get affected by the fuds, which then affects the market badly.

In addition to that, whales are also doing their thing (dumping the market) so that they can purchase more coins, in preparation for the future bull runs. they know that bull run is coming since it didn't come for a while. Don't rely too much on large institutions, they are already doing their part and you should do your part too.
If we could see that, that means they know we could see that, and maybe they are not dumping because of it, they just want you to think that they are dumping. That is the thing with whales, they are so rich and so powerful that they could even not do anything and still make you get scared.

Maybe this was a proper drop in price and they had nothing to do with it, and maybe they were the ones that dropped the price, we have no idea which one happened. All in all buying bitcoin (and maybe a few other coins that you absolutely trust) could lead you having a great return in the long run no matter what whales are doing, if you have the patience for it, you could get rich and that is known.
1954  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you spread BTC to people within you on: April 13, 2022, 07:46:54 PM
Spreading the word about bitcoins over the years was hard work. It took many long conversations with my parents to convince them that investing in crypto is not a lost cause and I will not lose all my money. Unfortunately my parents are too old to invest in bitcoins themselves. At their age they need all their money in cash or money market funds, because sudden medical bills or moving into a retirement home would cost a lot of money. My cousin I got very excited about cryptos, every time I see him we talk about it. He is still in school and has no real money to invest himself, but for his birthday this year I will give him a wallet with sie Satoshi. Among my friends everybody knows about bitcoins, and some even invested themselves. But the majority still hold stocks as their main investment. Maybe over time I can convince them to switch more into cryptos.
Convincing parents is a hard thing, plus my parents literally have no money at all, they are in huge debt, around 4k dollars which is a huge amount in my nation considering the minimum wage is under 300 bucks, so we do not even earn 10 bucks a day and they have over 4k dollars in debt.

I knew this and I knew that I couldn't trust them when it came to investing, so when I started my own life after I got married and moved away from them, I started to put some part of my salary into investment and I didn't want to end up with them.

At 60+ years old, they can't even live a decent life, can't get out of house, and even at their boring life they are still growing their debt, I do not want to end up like them so I keep on investing. I keep saying that this should be exact reason to invest into crypto, to make sure that you are not poor at 60+ years old.
1955  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin question and answer better option to earn money in crypto on: April 13, 2022, 07:08:07 PM
If you buy a new project during an ongoing trend, you are taking a risk. and vice versa, If the project appears before or at the beginning of the trend, it can be a promising investment. and also to follow the crypto trend, what we have to do is find the right time to buy it and when it's time for us to sell the crypto with a crypto trend that is better than the previous market trend, we must pay close attention so you don't do the wrong thing or say negligence in managing it.

too many people experience losses in finding and choosing crypto trends, indeed this is a little risky if you are not careful in this kind of thing, one step you must pay attention to is that you have to focus on looking at the market trend and observe it carefully, don't let it fall. you are one of the majority of people who are experiencing losses in terms of this crypto trend, so focus is really needed here, and with that step many of you are making money in the crypto trend.
The sad thing is, there are plenty of projects who see a new trend, realize their talent, start working on something to make a good project that will actually mean something and then they are too late because trend fades away. Instead, we have bunch of projects that end up with a slap job and looks horrible, and definitely shouldn't be invested a single dollar but since they are right on the trend period they get a ton of money.

This is the story of many trends, all the good ones comes after the fact because building something amazing takes time. They end up getting more popular during the next bull cycle and you have to wait like 3-4 years for it to become something good.
1956  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NFT's hype over? on: April 13, 2022, 06:31:40 PM
NFT is not as hyped as it is now. There are times when people will buy the same NFT in bulk and resell it at a higher price for a profit. However, now that the market is even developed, some "cheap" NFTs are missing. That's why there seems to be a decrease in the number of searches on Google and the volume of trading on OpenSea and especially regarding the ethereum gas fee, when traffic is high the gas fee can be very expensive if choice NFT Ethereum.
It has been proven before that people use NFT collections in a way where they buy it themselves after releasing them, to make it look like it is hyped and then they end up getting a lot more for the remainder of it. Like for example they create 10k o some collection, and then buy 9k of them or over 200+ dollars, which makes the other 1k look like they worth at least 200 bucks as well and that in return causes people to spend 200k on that 1k just because they saw 9 thousand of them bought at 200+ dollars as well.

This is a simple trick and many people fall for it. These days rarely any -NFT project gets enough attention from people, mainly do not get any interest unless it is attached to some other already established one.
1957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: April 12, 2022, 08:34:18 PM
Adapting to a new club is not always easy, look at the example of Messi when he stopped scoring goals and became inconspicuous at PSG. Lewandowski's desire to play in other leagues is just the interest of a person who in a few years may end his career, and he is simply interested in trying his hand and proving to himself that he can be a good striker in any club. But it doesn't always happen this way. Bayern fit Levendowski perfectly, let him appreciate it. Smiley
I am not sure if this "who knows if Lewa will do alright in other leagues" thing is valid just for the league, it could be valid for the teams as well, like if Bayern buys Haaland and Dortmund responds with getting Lewa would be weird but even if that happens, Lewa will probably not be as good as he is right now in Dortmund neither.

Lewa just needs to stay man, I mean it is so obvious he just needs to stay, play there as long as he can, and the moment he is not good enough or Bayern (which he is for now) then just either retire or go to some lower level team to just get a ton of money, like do an iniesta type of deal and keep having fun or just retire.
1958  Economy / Speculation / Re: Evaluate your Bitcoin for next year on: April 12, 2022, 06:41:23 AM
Rising inflation attracts people's growing interest in cryptocurrencies.  While vulnerable to many external factors, I'm very bullish on Bitcoin's future next year, expecting it to triple the current bitcoin price.
Smart investors are never going to let their wealth to be eroded by governments in such an easy way, they will always look for a way to fight back and bitcoin is a great way to do it, as not only it has a higher volatility than gold and as such you can see results sooner, at the same time bitcoin can be moved all over the world easily, which is not something that is true for gold, so when we think about the fact that inflation does not seems as if it is going to go down anytime soon then the prospects for bitcoin over the long term still look great.
Smart investors are in crypto and using it the way you explained. However there are a lot of idiots here as well. I do not mean people who lose money, everyone can lose money, there is nothing wrong with that, in investment and trading you either earn or lose and that is the nature o things. The idiots are the people who see an opportunity, know it is a scam, try to take advantage of it before it turns out to be a scam, and get out, so that they profited before it all goes down south.

This is just one example, there are scammers here as well, and project creators who only care about themselves. More available, but all in all, it is not just smart investors who are in crypto.
1959  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A month of WAR on: April 11, 2022, 09:58:15 PM
There are so many challenges that happened in a short span of time most especially between Russia and Ukraine which have conflicts among them. Several issues are the root causes that are still haven't resolved up until now since Russia doesn't want to back down and Ukraine has to maintain their defense as well. If these things will keep on happening, a lot of people will continue to lose their lives in the war. Many structures such as homes and establisements will be damaged and maybe could be brought into collapse. Which is why hopefully, this will soon end.
I would guess that NATO will not be part of it in the military sense, they will not send soldiers for sure. That would mean basically attacking Russia directly, even if it is defensive reasoning, that will make Russia very angry and even though they are the ones who are wrong, they "may" use nukes in that sense.

This is why it is quite difficult to know what they will do, they are the ones who are wrong to attack Ukraine, but they are so disgusting that if you do not let them have Ukraine, then they may end up attacking the whole world, they are that bad. Well I have to emphasize that it is not "Russians" here, it is just Putin and people who love him and follow him, I am sure there are nice Russians there who are against this war as well.
1960  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin's price stabilize someday? on: April 09, 2022, 09:49:07 PM
Bitcoin has achieved a lot nearly 13 years since its inception. Ever since mainstream adoption skyrocketed like crazy, prices have never been the same as they were before. As it's been proven over time, Bitcoin outperforms Gold, Silver, and nearly every other asset on Earth. Despite widespread adoption of Bitcoin by mainstream businesses, companies, and governments alike, prices relative to Fiat haven't stabilized yet. It's something that I find odd, since institutional investors are already in the game. Not only that but some ETFs have been approved by the SEC. If Gold's price is relatively stable, why can't Bitcoin be the same?
It already did, and people did not realize it, that's it. I remember a period when it moved from just a few dollars to hundreds of dollars, and it moved from that to 20k dollars as well. Not many people remember but we were at around 700 dollars in 2017 at the bottom price, and reached to 20k levels.

So, it means that with each increase, we are living a smaller and smaller increase. Sure, it is still a lot, sure we go like 10x and even more on bitcoin at times, it is not impossible but bitcoin moved from a few dollars to 68k dollars overall, we are not going to have that kind of increase ever again, it's over. We will be doing fine and just volatile compared to like gold or something, but never again that much volatile like in the past.
