If it does it won't be on a huge scale.  Nothing is moving 20x in this market that went from micro to small cap to get it to large cap.  Right now it has around a 10btc daily volume which isn't much so it can be manipulated that high with the right pump but it will never be sustained.

Well I was hoping the gD BE CONTINUED AND WE WOULDN'T HAVE HAD TO DEAL WITH THIS BUT OF COURSE THATS NOT THE CASE.

Typeing on shit kybd at casino sry.

So I wont be home until maybe tomorrow, I left when the game got postponed.

This is obviousley unpresendated terrirtory as in the past it was assumed games would always be completeleted and have even when players have died. So the league is changing their stance without prior notification and are openeing themselfs up to liabilities which I don't doubt will e settled in court with big players.

Even Damar Hamlin asked who won after he woke up and was told what happened so there was even an expectation from him.

What really sucks besides the guy dropping dead is this had culmilated into one of the greatest matchups in fantasy to date. all the stars aligned for the top players to all be in a position to put up huge numbers. I was really expecting some massive numbers for my number one and 3 pick in this game and am pretty disappointed that we cant see an exiting end.

As Southpark offered I'm of the opinion a tie is the most appropriate outcome.

I guess we could play the gme next week if he wants and I would be fine with that but I relly dont know how playoff contentions and such would effect the play time next week and I have no way to check the teams as I don't have the password with me for the league.

Its weird I had this trepidation about this game and couldn't understand why as its not that important in the scheme of things but i just couldnt shake the thought of something i couldn't put my finger on.

Anyho this is the first game in history that a injury has effected and entire industry.

In some high dollar leagues its getting bad in terms of what to do lol.  And you are right there is an insane amount of stars that could move the score: Allen, Diggs, chase, Higgins, burrow, Mixon, etc.  All capable of putting up big numbers.  This league specifically is a tough call because of the players involved and the points as of now.

The next All-Star NBA game this 2023 season is right around the corner, and regarding the updated voting I think Lebron James and Kevin Durant was still the favorite to be captains of the team, and their guards for the West is Stephen Curry, and for the East is Kyrie Irving, surely enough I am excited about who's going to be MVP again, I have seen that Russell Westbrick was on the list and many are complaining about Austin Reaves getting on the list aswell, which is I really think seems OK and surely Shai Gilgeous-Alexander have made it while he is extremely great at playing at the Oklahoma City Thunder,

While here is the list for the All-star voting for now, I really don't know if this is updated and I have just seen it on the news,

All star voting is a complete joke.  Austin reeves as an all star lol.  And on the east Derrick rose doesn't even play!! (And I'm a knicks fan).  Sometimes it's more just big market voting since there is mass in numbers of fans.  All star game is fun to watch in the 4th quarter but before then it's a little meh anyway.  Every year professional sports all star games get worse and worse.

A good Friday night lineup and liking a bunch of games here.  Here is what I have so far:

Pacers -2 at home vs Portland.
Nuggets -5.5 (how can't you bet on them all the time!)
Spurs -1 against Detroit.  They played NY tough I expect that to end with a win here at home.
And last Bucks-10 at home vs Charlotte.  Ginnis to get a solid 45 pts to run Charlotte off the court.

It looks like i'm the only one taking the plus points on Magic +8.5 @1.61  Cheesy the odds keep on shifting to the side of the Grizzlies but I prefer the Magic to cover the spread as they still have a solid ATS record.

Both teams with limited rest and even though Grizzlies had a blowout win in their last game I still think they'll have a hard time in Orlando after the upset that happened from their last meeting.

Honestly this is one of those games that I'm more apt to pick the magic as well.  Again I think Grizzlies come in lax and any team at home getting almost double digits isn't all that bad.  As long as orlando can keep it close they can cover with a backdoor win at the end of the game getting garbage points.  I'm in on orlando

Damar Hamlin is showing good progress on his recovery, which is great news as some of us feared the worst, and is now awake and even communicating in writing, and while he still has a long road ahead of him it seems he is headed in the right direction.

Sorry I didn't see that, I should have checked.  No worries here, as long as you guys are okay waiting.

It looks like Saturday's and Sunday's games are still on the schedule, but I don't see any indication of whether the Bills and Bangles game will be resumed.
I think it is about time we talk about this, if the game between the Bengals and the Bills is played then there is no issue and whoever scores the most points is the champion.

But what to do if the game is canceled? Which by the way seems as the most likely scenario at the moment, one option would be to take the posture yahoo is taking and accept it as is and move on, and in that case the Q/Cows will get the win.

However while I am not an expert on law practice, there is a concept called an act of god, which allows for a party to not be held responsible for their inability to fulfill their contract obligations due to extraordinary circumstances, so our informal social contract which can be roughly described as 'a group of NFL fans that agreed to compete on a weekly basis by selecting players to try and see who is the best among them during the 2022 football season' cannot be fulfilled anymore if the game is not played, using this reasoning I would have no problem splitting the money with Hueristic in half and declare two champions or no champion at all.

But this is not for me to decide so I am interested in hearing the opinion of the rest of the members of the league about this.

In another league I'm in it was just conceded as the points that were in were in.  Other leagues were blowouts they just ended it with no drama.  The difficult part for ff leagues is when I player is only marginally losing and has superstars yet to field, Diggs, chase, burrow, etc.  Definitely a wierd way to end the ff season for sure.  Glad to hear the kid is awake and holding his families hands that's a great sign.

It's even surprising that the Lakers were able to beat a team like the Heat without LeBron and Davis. However, it should be noted that it's been almost halfway through the regular season, but the Lakers are still struggling, and it looks like the second half of the season will be tough for them because they still don't even qualify for a play-in tournament. As for Schroder, he performed really well in this game, but it's a pity he rarely performs that well.

Since the Los Angeles Lakers are "consistent from being inconsistent" due to several factors including missing key players, a tough road to securing a playoff spot is one of the biggest tasks that they are facing right now. As you mentioned, they are even not qualified even for a play-in if we based on their current standing.

On the other hand, Miami Heat is disappointed with how that game turned out even playing in a complete lineup. Supposed to have a big chance of winning against the handicapped Lakers but end up in a bitter loss.

Happens all the time I think it's a mental thing.  Going in knowing lebron and AD are sitting out, I missed gbling games yesterday but I would've laid on the Lakers.  Bettors and vegas never take that into consideration and the spread always is out of line.  Not everyrime but when a group of stars are out a lot of times the young guys are hungry to prove they belong knowing it might be theor only shot to showcase it.

No is covid shaming anyone here?  Is there the typical twitter fight between both sides of this discussion haven't really been on social to see what gross things people are saying about this.

I'm not suggesting that anyone here is shaming anyone else, just speaking generically.  It does seem like it's rather difficult to get decenting opinions from experts through the normal media channels and on social media.  Anyone who isn't fully on board with the vaccination recommendations is dismissed as a conspiracy nut.  I may be or may not be a conservative, a conspiracy nut, a right wing zealot...  but all I'm asking for is information that isn't politically tainted.  This is a health issue, not a political issue, but it seems impossible to find information that isn't filtered through some political agenda.

Anyway, on a positive note, today's reports about Damar Hamlin's condition suggest he's improving.  That's the most important thing right now.

Yeah I literally stopped reading anything that says vaccination on it and tied to a situation.  It's so politically charged its annoying at this point.  It would be nice if there was just good old reporting without biased but those days are long gone.  I honestly can say I don't even know what is happening in terms of covid/vaccinations at this point I stopped reading, too much garbage to sift through.

And yes boy looks like he is on the right side of recovery for today so that's a good thing.  If anything I hope this leads to are protective game for the kids high-school and younger.  Those are the most vulnerable in the sport.

I miss the 80s/90s era with defense and hard fought games.  Imagine Jordan playing in this era where a simple hand check is a foul.  That's why all these guys are scoring 50, 60, 70 points.  The level of play isn't better it's just the lack of defense that's prevalent.  The NBA, and all major sports for that matter change rules to encourage scoring which enhances the entertainment for the average fan.  Me personally it feels more and more like an all star game than anything, which isn't a good thing.
1950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: January 04, 2023, 03:18:53 PM
I've heard reports that suggest a significant increase cardiac arrests among young male athletes who've recently been vaccinated.  One particular cardiologist, Peter McCullough has been talking about this for quite some time, but finding information through the usual channels is hit and miss.  There're are plenty of news sights that post articles picking his theories apart without actually mentioning what his theories are, but very few that a seem willing to discuss his concerns without bias.  Here's one relatively neutral article:

https://survivalmagazine.org/news/wellness-company-headed-by-dr-peter-mccullough-requests-to-release-damar-hamlins-vaccine-status-as-part-of-any-investigation-into-this-tragedy/

The unfortunate truth is we don't know if this was a result of the vaccine, covid, or something completely unrelated.  We've been hearing for well over a year now that there's a high risk of myocarditis in young men resulting from the vaccine.  We've also been told that it's temporary.  I don't know if Damar Hamlin was vaccinated recently, but it's certainly not wrong to have the discussion.  As a father of a 21yo son who's physically active, it's something I find rather concerning and so is the effort to shame me for being concerned.

No is covid shaming anyone here?  Is there the typical twitter fight between both sides of this discussion haven't really been on social to see what gross things people are saying about this.

What is the crypto projects in top 20 that will fail to retain their position in the next bull market? There is a saying that in every bull market new projects will take over the top 20, do you think another project can rob the positions that Avalanche, Matic, Polkadot and Solana tomorrow?

Easily and probably will.  There is no way the top 20 stays the same.  There will be a new fad and new coins get mega pumped just like in every other cycle.  One thing is almost certain though, bitcoin will end up in first just like it always has.  That's why altcoins aren't meant for bag holding.

Game officially postponed... I turned it on right after Hamlin collapsed to the field, all the Bills were praying as the ambulance drove off the field. Sad.

I read some speculations in social media that say the tackle was not very strong and Hamlin might have an undiagnosed medical condition already before this. Others speculated that it might be the effects of the vaccines for the coronavirus hehehe. I shook my head, however, how can we really know it is not?

In any case, what does this imply for the NFL?

Cardiac arrest wasn't from the vaccine, I mean cmon.  It's clear he wasn't just walking down the street and collapsed.  It was sport/hit induced.  This honestly in the grand scheme of things won't do nothing to the nfl.  It will go on just like it always has.  That's not being insensitive it's just the truth of the matter.  Too much money involved to change anything too drastic.  They should start limiting kids tackle football more though.
1953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: January 04, 2023, 03:53:35 AM
And so the trend continues with high caliber NBA players pushing their limit, Giannis against the Wizards, 55 points, 10 boards, 7 assists. I know, this is payback time for Giannis as some of the bettors are made against him not playing the last time because of the late news about his injuries and so majority of us lost our parlay and singles bet.

As for the Mitchell drug tested, I think it's fair, I didn't click on the link but what is the NBA looking for as a sort of performance enhancing drugs in basketball?

Steroids.  Not that I think he is on them but being artificially stronger than opposing guards is a huge advantage.  Being able to muscle through the lane, shoot through contact etc.  They randomly check every team/player, it just so happens that dude went nuts the night they got checked.  Could be a mere coincidence, I haven't read up whether it was a random or non random check.

No way picking championship predictions can be made yet.  Way too much left in the season.  Injuries will shape the second half of the year as well as the trade deadline.  A fringe team can become the frontrunner with a blockbuster deal at the deadline.  I like to wait until at least March to start looking at who might be the frontrunners.
1955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: January 02, 2023, 07:07:33 PM
Welp, I'm fucked.

We know.  And it looks like you might lose the FF championship.

The Eagles plan to rest Jalen Hurts against the Saints.

WTF is the point of that?  Is he injured?  The tweet made it sound like they just picked a body part as an excuse; "<word>shoulder<salad>"

As it is the Eagles are at risk of falling to the 5th seed.  If they lose next weekend the 9ers or the Cowboys can take top seed from them if either of them win their games.  It seems like they squandered their best chance to clinch the top seed today, I don't imagine the Giants are going to gift it to them next weekend.

They aren't just resting jalen hurts for the sake of it, he can't go.  There is no way the eagles are just resting him multiple games to throw minshew out there.  Good thing for the eagles is that the giants have the 6th seed locked up, they can't go up or down in the standings norther a win or loss.  So if they have anyone banged up a bit they might rest them.  Eagles can fall from 1st to the 5th seed with a loss and a cowboys win.

Bunch of good games on tonight.  Taking 4 home teams today:

Sixers -4 at home against the Pelicans
Pacers -1.5 home against the Raptors
Nets -12 home against Detroit
And last give me Houston +7.5 home against the Mavericks.

Good luck tonight everyone and enjoy the games Smiley

Lone game for tomorrow then we don't have any matches for about a week until January 8th:
https://sportsbet.io/sports/event/american-football/usa/nfl/cincinnati-bengals-v-buffalo-bills-63a25d5f8a9f5592b57e7af5

This one is a another tough one to decide so might as well just go for the O/U on points.
I agree, both teams are at the top of the standings and the Bengals are only one game behind the Bills.

Only putting a small bet on the under 50.5 only because it's a tight matchup, even though both teams can score i'll rely on the Bills to control the pace since they've been decent on the road for the most part, maintaining the totals below 50.

I tend to agree on the under here.  Logic says these 2 offenses are going to try to blow open the scoring but the opposite usually happens.  I can see a 23-17 type of game here with no team wanting to make a critical mistake or give up field position.  Think I'm taking the under here too tonight.

Why they burned 47.02% of the token supply?

Because for some reason people think that it will create value.  It's a ploy to try to get people to buy this useless token.  Using the name of another coin is another telltale sign that this is nothing more than a scam or at a minimum a cash grab.  Steer clear.

GM/GN everyone.

Help me understand this, please.

Following the collapse of the FTX, which impacted valuations and reduced investor interest, Goldman Sachs aims to invest or spend tens of millions of dollars buying crypto companies. Which indicates to me that they clearly see some benefits of blockchain if it's under their control.

Why would one of the biggest investment banks in the world want to buy FTX's scraps?

Why not?  If history has told us anything is that crypto eventually sheds all these bad apples and comes out bigger and better.  Obviously they see a bright future for crypto so why not buy now when things are on the Lowe end of value than when everything is booming.

Surely, we haven't got any thought about Nash's lack of experience as a head coach because we're too focused to the three drama queen that has been making headlines ever since they teamed up, after all, it was just Nash who can't control the superstars in his stable that he was once under his watch. I'm just glad that the Nets management managed to have the correct choice and keeping Durant in-exchange of freeing Nash. Made some sense why KD has been quite after firing Nash.
I still think Steve Nash is a good coach, maybe the Nets is not for him with veterans all over their roster. If given one more chance to lead a young team he will surely learn more on how to keep everything under control and maybe that will also add to his experience on how to manage them.
KD and Kyrie, two stars, veterans in the league, they want a respected coach or someone who will just stay silent if they both want the game to be in their shoulders when it's needed.
No play required, just give them the ball.

Why isn't Steve Nash considered a respected coach ?  I don't really know how he is viewed / perceived by the league overall, but lets say he's not a respected coach, then I'd certainly agree with you that they need to hire someone whom is.  However, hiring a coach who will stay silent and just let the superstars play and do whatever they want, I don't think that is the right way to go about getting this team closer to a championship.  If they don't respect the coach, then that will ruin the entire teams chemistry.

I understand what you're trying to get into, I know you're just trying to say that these superstars should learn to respect whoever their coach is rather than letting them to dictate the whole game while running wild and loose, also, they should control their ego once they have any misunderstanding with their coach. But I'm also thinking that maybe that's not the case here, Kevin Durant is probably not that fool to make the management choose if there's really no issue. Maybe, just maybe, former head coach Steve Nash doesn't know how to control the superstars and to guide them properly. Because what we're seeing right now is that the Nets are in a much comfortable situation without Steve Nash in the equation.

It's still the first quarter of the season.  A lot of teams take awhile to get into a groove and feel theor team put to see what works and what doesn't.  Kyrie didn't ay a lot last year and needed some time.  I think Nash would have been fine along with the Nets if they just gave them some time.
