1942  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: February 13, 2014, 04:25:08 AM
My two latest Antminers arrived this evening, and I crapped myself a little bit when the fans didn't spin up automatically on power-up.
Seems the latest batches wait for a certain temperature before spinning up.
They have always been like that...its in the setup instructions.

Very strange that I haven't noticed that behavior in my prior Ant's. *shrugs*

1944  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales NEW STOCK ***NOW SHIPPING*** on: February 12, 2014, 12:11:20 AM
Dear Buzzdave,

I have two empty Spotswood cases ready to house two more full rigs of fine Bitfury product, but Bitmain keeps getting my money lately :|

Any plans to become more price-competitive in the near future ? I'd love to buy another two full rigs worth, but the economics don't make sense at present.

1945  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [FAILED]Butterfly Labs 30 day countdown to the end of September on: February 11, 2014, 07:27:38 PM
MOTHERFUCKER!!! Thanks to this post I'm quoting, I just realized that I stood up for (or behind, no pun intended) Darin during that major blowup between you and him, and that fucker is sticking it up my ass big time over at the Black Arrow threads.
Now, I'm really pissed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (key stuck)

Still trying to figure out how I've lied according to our favorite COO...

Now the btc price go to 500usd and in april 2014 go to 150 usd.

What are the fundamentals supporting your prediction ?
1949  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 open for sale again] The last round before the Chinese New Year on: February 06, 2014, 09:11:36 PM
Because BTC price will drop to 150 usd for 2 month

 How do you figure ?
1950  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Bitmain Antminer S1 ETA for Feb. 8th batch? on: February 06, 2014, 02:10:32 AM
Taking a wild guess, I would imagine they might be delivered on or about February 11th-12th if prior history is an indicator.
1951  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: {BFL} Here's a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOK at your Monarch! on: February 05, 2014, 11:07:28 PM
The test software was returning unexpected results which turned out to be a bug in the testing software and has been (and is being) rewritten from scratch.
I'm no Software Engineer, but can some one give me a rating on the scale of 0 - retarded for this here statement?

If memory serves, I believe there was a similarly curious statement made back during their 65nm testing days when they recognized they blew their power consumption numbers by at least a factor of two, that resulted in the need to force a redesign of the housing for their entire product line, and the Minirig being broken up into three separate units.

Remember with the Jalapeno was supposed to be a flat and thin coffee warmer originally ?

As for a rating, from 0 - retarded, I rate the statement Potato.

1954  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official ASICMINER Hardware Information on: January 31, 2014, 01:22:12 AM
Both the Pi and Cube to the router? Thanks for any help.

Both the Cube and the Pi need to be on the same router with their own individual IP addresses.
1955  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: {BFL} TigerDirect is making a BIG MISTAKE partnering up with Butterfly Labs! on: January 30, 2014, 10:44:34 PM
After reading Tigerdirect's Return Policy @ http://www.tigerdirect.com/sectors/help/return.asp, what is stopping someone from purchasing one of those units, mining with it for 13 days (not that it would be particularly worthwhile), then requesting a return ?

1958  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: What would you do if you had mined 500 BTC in 2011 and still have it on: January 28, 2014, 04:17:56 AM
Hodl !
1959  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 open for sale again] The last round before the Chinese New Year on: January 26, 2014, 05:40:37 PM
This doesn't make sense to me.  How do you explain that the AntMiner S1's I received were prefilled with Bitmain's own pool addresses on all 3 fields?

Respectfully, what alternative method do you recommend they use to test their products ?

It makes perfect sense to me, and I don't see what the problem is.
1960  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: HashFast announces specs for new ASIC: 400GH/s on: January 25, 2014, 07:18:31 PM
You know what I'm finding absolutely hilarious, that every ASIC company and large mining concern is using the same wire racks from Costco ...
http://www.costco.com/TRINITY-NSF-5-tier-XL-Heavy-duty-Wire-Shelving-Rack.product.11539192.html
It's like a badge of legitimacy or something, seriously, go check out pics of BFLs burnin rack, LRMs racks, numerous private larger mines.... Cheesy

I fail to see the issues with this. They are incredibly practical, and the configuration allows for excellent cable management by tying down wires along the rails.

All my rigs are situated on similar racks available at the local Home Depot.
