Conte must focus on this problem of the team also. They don't have big problems on defeating smaller teams obviously. However they just can't do the same to their biggest rivals in the league now. Tottenham have a really strong squad actually. They have the strength to upset all of those teams. Conte just needs to develop new strategies depending on their opponents.
Well, imo Conte himself is the problem with the team, i have always had an issue with his footballing philosophies/ideologies because i think he tends to always set up his teams to be on the defensive rather than attack, a team like Spurs with a plethora of talented players should not always take the negative approach.

Having said that, i think the reason they do well against smaller teams is because that tactics can work against them, but it won't work against a bigger team that can hold possession very good, and if Conte continues with that approach, i am afraid they will struggle to win any trophies and could even miss out on a top four finish.

I don't think Frankfurt will be a serious obstacle for Napoli and just because Frankfurt beat Celtic doesn't mean they can beat Napoli. True, this game is still four months away and no one knows how things will go for both clubs. But I think Napoli are in contention to play in the final this season.
Well with the way Napoli are firing on all cylinders nobody can doubt the fact that they are a big threat in the CL this season, i for one would not want my team to meet them in any stage of the CL this season, i don't think they might get to the final, but if they do not have such a tough opponent in the QF, i think they will go as far as the SF and that could prolly be where their tournament will come to an end, as for their RO16 tie with Frankfurt, it is going to be a pretty straightforward victory for Napoli, except they capitulate so bad and lose quite a lot of form and momentum before the game, otherwise they are already sure of a QF spot.
1963  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Your take on Bitcoin adoption trust issues on: November 07, 2022, 09:17:13 PM
Based on the conversation, I found out that the biggest challenge currently within Bitcoin adoption in those Communities is trust issues, It's extremely difficult and hard for people to agree and come to term with anything that has to do with Bitcoin most especially as a result of those government approved school scheme for sensitization about the danger of digital currencies, Thereby corrupting the minds of those young ones
Well people who have trust/risk concern issues haven't done their own research, they only rely on the negative information and propaganda highlighted in the media and by the Government about Bitcoin. People do not have to agree/trust what other people say about Bitcoin, the network is open source and decentralized, they can verify whatever and also be a part of the network. what is required of them is to do their own research, they can't have trust/risk concern issues when they don't even understand a thing about the network.
1964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can we see a huge rise in the price of Dogecoin ? on: November 07, 2022, 06:10:46 PM
Do you think one should bet on this event and spend good amount of money on dogecoin for reaping the benefits later ? Or we should not rely on a man like Elon Musk who has made contradictory statements about bitcoin is past? Which side are you ?
I don't think one should bet on a crypto because one person is causing hype and promoting it, what a very risky thing to do, this can be akin to manipulation, and it doesn't end well. When a coin can be manipulated by one or a few persons, then mind you that the same coin can likewise crash due to the actions and influence of that person or a few people too, it goes both ways and anything can happen.

Having said that, if you believe there is a new hype coming that would pump Dogecoin then you can invest, but for the short term, because hype never lasts long, especially when it is driven by one man, if you want to spend a good amount of money on a coin and reap the benefits in the long run you should look at coins that have an actual utility and aren't basically driven by solely hype/manipulation.

Dortmund is considered as weaker than Chelsea. They don't have a strong striker like Haaland and it is a disadvantage for them. Chelsea have better players than Dortmund and they will be a favorite team for gamblers. Anyway, in football, surprise is the most interesting thing and we can wait for surprise from Dortmund. It is supported by unstable performance of Chelsea in this season.
These are exactly what i said. But i for one isn't expecting any upset from Dortmund in this game, i think it is going to be a pretty straightforward victory for Chelsea, though i am not expecting the blues to go farther than the QF, or at best, the SF, except if they come back really strong after the world cup and prolly make a couple of good signings in the winter transfer window to lift the team, because right now they are pretty very low in confidence.
1967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: November 07, 2022, 12:26:06 PM
This is the end of the road for Chelsea in the Champions League unfortunately. Dortmund over Chelsea.
I don't really think so, whilst Dortmund are a very decent team, i think you'd be asking too much of them to eliminate Chelsea in the RO16 stage in the CL, i know Chelsea are not in their best moment currently, but they remain a powerhouse in the CL, and are one of the strongest teams in the tournament. Mind you also that this round of fixtures will be played next year, after the WC, so quite a lot could have changed for Chelsea in terms of team momentum and morale, and they could prolly be back to the same Chelsea that we know, i'm afraid i think Chelsea are winning this tie all day long.
1968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: November 07, 2022, 10:16:49 AM
Chelsea was never a threat to Arsenal in yesterday 's match, the gunners dominated the match from the start to finish unfortunately only managed to score a lone goal, from all indications now Arsenal had improved tremendously while playing top teams in EPL in contrast with the performance against top teams in the previous seasons
Arsenal have improved in absolutely every aspect of their game, Mikel Arteta is worthy of an awful anount of credit for what he is doing this season, they struggled at the beginning of last season and only began to improve towards the end, though they were unable to crown it with a place in this season's CL; but this season is in sharp contrast to how they started the last one, they look like a completely different team, and even people who didn't believe in them are now believing that they are indeed title contenders.

Having said that, post Tuchel era and it seems Chelsea have gone some steps backward, i know Potter has lost just twice, but i haven't seen Chelsea play well under him, even in the games they didn't lose, they aren't playing like a big team, and it might prolly not be long before we start seeing "Potter out" placards at their games.
1969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: November 07, 2022, 07:13:55 AM
Liverpool each struggle with their front lines, Nunez still hasn't contributed anything to Liverpool so it's very difficult for them to be included in potential champion candidates, while Napoli is an inconsistent team, we know in the last few seasons they have played normally but in this season they are looking good, if Napoli meets a big team like Madrid, PSG or Bayern, Napoli will surely lose.
Nunez hasn't been all that bad, he has scored a couple of goals and assisted some too, and if you judge his contribution with the minutes he has been restricted too, you'd understand that he has been somewhat impressive, though when i watch him i see that he still has a lot of work to do in order to become a better player, his decision making sometimes is quite poor. Liverpool aren't strong favorites because the overall team isn't playing at their best and not because of any player in particular.

Having said that, Napoli will be that smaller team that the big teams will be hoping to avoid, not that they cannot defeat them, but because it could be tricky, and absolutely anything can happen, i get this feeling that Napoli are going to provide an upset in this season's CL, not that they'd win it, of course they can't, but they might just eliminate a team that nobody gave them a chance against.
1970  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Early Sign to Adopt Bitcoin by Nigerian Government on: November 06, 2022, 10:15:04 PM
you can see clearly from the screenshot above that OP said the Nigerian government are willing to train up to 30k people in blockchain, specifically Bitcoin.
Okay bro, well truly that is what OP said, but from the article that he linked there was absolutely no mention of Bitcoin in the plans, it was all about just the blockchain technology, and to even make matters worse they mentioned Bitcoin Satoshi Vision (BSV), which definitely isn't Bitcoin, thus i prolly don't know if they do not know the two coins are different, or if they are actually interested in useless BSV.
why then are they going to train 30k person in blockchain technology is there are absolutely no plan to implement the blockchain technology in any sector of the country's economy?
Well i can only answer from the information i have gotten from the article that was linked, here are some excerpts as to the reason for the training:
Quote
The objective of the training course is to make the participants “early solution providers in the fourth industrial revolution.”
Quote
intended to hasten the adoption of the tech and make Nigeria a leading player in the blockchain industry.
Quote
“quality education and equipping participants with the skills to build real-life blockchain solutions.”
Thus from the above i prolly might have been wrong with my initial comment, and maybe they actually have plans for implementation, but with the Nigerian government you just never know, we'd have to wait and see!
1971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: November 06, 2022, 09:43:21 PM
However, no team in the Champions League knockout round can be called weak.
I second every word of this sentence above, the Champions League is a very tough and tricky tournamnet and all the teams that make it through can be considered a difficult opponent to handle, notwithstanding, there are teams that are stronger, and are among the favorites, but even such teams cannot underestimate the less stronger teams when they come up against each other. The tournament becomes stronger as the competition progresses, from the QF every game is like a 'Final', and if any teams becomes complacent, they are definitely going to be knocked out.

Having said that, this season there are some teams that look like they will cause the bigger teams problems, i am pretty sure even the bigger teams will be hoping to avoid them in the draws, Napoli, Benfica and Porto are examples of such teams, the tournament is about to get a whole lot more interesting.
1972  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Early Sign to Adopt Bitcoin by Nigerian Government on: November 06, 2022, 08:56:37 PM
The Nigerian government is one of the funniest government in the world, they planning to train 30k Nigerians in blockchain technology meanwhile banks in the country are still banned from processing cryptocurrency transactions..
Whilst i'd agree with you that it is indeed a funny government we run here in Nigeria, but going by the news and understanding that the federal government of Nigeria hasn't mentioned Bitcoin in any of its plans, thus the whole scenario becomes clearer, though the relationship between Bitcoin and the Blockchain technology is interwoven, the Blockchain technology can be applied in other fields, and it is prolly in relationship with these other fields that the government of Nigeria would tailor this lectures to, as they are not budging on their stand towards Bitcoin.
It is my expectation that this move by the Nigerian government will bring a major boost to the economy of the country upon the end of the program and implementation of this technology into the country's monetary system.
I'm afraid it won't do anything to the economy of Nigeria, neither am i sure there's talk of any implementation of the Blockchain technology in any sector in Nigeria.
1973  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: November 06, 2022, 08:16:26 PM
Liverpool had a very good game today. I hope they can build momentum from this win and get back to winning ways. It would be nice for them to win their upcoming matches before going to the world cup.
Yeah they did have a very good game, but Liverpool are yet to convince me this season. Even after a big win like this one, i still do not trust Liverpool to start winning and make a good run in the league, Spurs know very well how to crumble when they meet a big team, they lack character and they cannot dig deep to get victories, i never expected them to beat Liverpool, but i thought they would at least get a draw from this game. Sometimes i wonder what Conte tells his players before the start of every game, their initial approach is always to be very cautious and wait for a break, they won't win trophies in that way. Having said that, Liverpool are definitely not in the title race, thus they just have to continue fighting and see whether they can make the top four, though it would be extremely difficult for them.
1974  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: As a newbie I think decentralise poses more threat to investors, correct me if w on: November 06, 2022, 07:31:18 PM
1. The team will easily blame the hacker, even if its an inside job.
2. Any form of reimbursement isn't going to happen.
I do not know the decentralized project/coin you know that this happened to, you can write out the name if any, because as far as i am concerned Bitcoin is the only true decentralized and secure coin/project and a hacker/malicious miner cannot hack/gain control of the network/hash rate. There might be other coins posing as being decentralized when truly they are centralized, you have to take special cognizance of the security level of the coin, of which Bitcoin is the most secured of all cryptocurrencies, and the above isn't possible in the network.
We all want decentralise but it deals more damage to investors than centralise, the only thing decentralise does better is freedom but that freedom is also a huge weak point.
Well i want to know what you think: would you rather a tiny group of powerful people make decisions on important matters that affect you, or would you rather prefer that you and other member's of the said group/community/society be involved in coming up with decisions that favors your common goal, now relate that expression with centralized and decentralized coins and you have your answer in your palms.
1975  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Friends and Family members want me to invest for them, help! on: November 06, 2022, 07:18:46 PM
Is my thoughts right? If you are in my shoes what will you do?
If i am in your shoes like you ask, i'd do no such thing, you cannot do someone's research for them, take their money and invest in something they neither understand or have absolutely any knowledge about, you'd definitely be held responsible should things go awry, and it could go as far as cost you family relationships and friendships.

Having said that, all you basically have to do is tell your friends and family to do their own research, that you can help them with by providing them with important research materials so they can come up to speed with what crypto is all about and the risks involved, you could also tell them the difference between Bitcoin and altcoins, that whilst the former has an actual utility, the latter doesn't, after these people must have understood what they are getting into, they can now come to a conclusion on what they want, and you are thus free from any responsibility of the outcome of their decision.
1976  Other / Meta / Re: [POLL] Should there be a 🍀 BTC AIRDROP 🍀 to Bitcointalk Merit Sources on: November 06, 2022, 06:52:18 PM
There is no need to incentivise MS's with Bitcoin airdrop no matter how little the money is; it is much better for it to continue being a free contribution they make to the forum, MS's could start getting paid now and users would start complaining that MS's aren't doing the job the forum is paying them for if they are not receiving merits, Grin these people wouldn't consider how little the payment is before making such complaints.

Having said that, MS's are doing a great contribution for the forum, but so are non-MS's who are also involved in making sure that the merit system lives on by distrubuting their Smerits to great posts, people could also start a case that regular non-MS's also deserve payment should the forum start paying MS's, it is prolly best to let things be for now.

Manchester United seem confident about convincing Dalot and Rashford to sign a contract extension.
A couple of months ago (before the start of this season) i thought it was all over for Rashford in Manchester United, he wasn't playing, and even when he did, he played quite terribly, but under Erik Ten Hag Rashford is like a completely new player again, he has received the trust of the manager and he is absolutely firing on all cylinders this season, i hope he is consistent and sustains this form till the end of the season. He is certain to stay in Manchester United, and as long as the club makes him a good offer in the contract (which i am sure they will), then he is going to definitely extend his stay.

Having said that, Dalot is also playing very well this season, just like the new signing Martinez, there are only a few players in Manchester United that are not close to the top of their game this season. Thus i think Erik Ten Hag deserves an awful amount of credit, well i also think it will be easy convincing Dalot to sign an extension, things are going on well with the club atm, so these things are easy to get over the line when the club is in a good period.
1978  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: November 04, 2022, 04:04:56 PM
Indeed Tottenham have not been able to win against a top team, but now can Liverpool be called a top team? I don't think so, after what they have achieved up to week 14. Liverpool have repeatedly shown that they are not ready to compete with other teams. The defeat to Nottingham Forest was something that was beyond the head when they had to be beaten by a team that was at the bottom of the table. Now their opponents are tougher of course, and the hosts have just woken up from their 2 defeats.
Well, it is quite obvious to notice Liverpool's struggles this season, they are yet to show us the Liverpool side we have come to know for some couple of years now, but i still think they are a top team, it is quite normal for a top team to dip in form, it has happened quite a lot of times in football, and Liverpool's case won't be the last.

Having said that, a top team can turn up on any day, even if they were previously struggling. When Liverpool played Manchester City, quite a lot of football fans expected City to roll over them, but even though Liverpool were not in form in that period, they had to step up and produce a performance that earned them the victory, so there should be no writing Liverpool off against Spurs, they are definitely capable of winning the game, and they just might.
1979  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: November 03, 2022, 10:02:57 PM
I don't know about the future but clearly Arteta is a major asset to the club and will not be open to a move away to Barcelona. I don't see this transfer speculation being realistic anytime soon, Arteta is enjoying his time at the Emirates and will continue to see manage the team for further years. The team is doing well at the moment and obviously the  project is going well so abandoning the project now wouldn't be a good idea. Barcelona will have to sort for a manager else where.
There are quite a lot of transfer speculations surrounding Barcelona, and it is laughable if you consider their current financial status, some people have been speculating that Messi is going to return (i think that's impossible), and now it is Arteta replacing Xavi, i don't see any reason why Arteta would want to move to Barcelona, it isn't as if the club (Barcelona) is doing too well, both financially and on the pitch, if Barcelona are going to replace Xavi, it won't be with Arteta, Barcelona are no longer that big enough to convince him to leave a team (Arsenal) he is doing so well in.

Having said that, what i think is possible is Arteta moving to City in the next few years (i mean when Pep leaves), as a former City assistant manager, and with City doing very well, i think they might be able to allure him out of the Emirates when Pep leaves, because Arteta looks like a perfect replacement for Pep.
1980  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: November 03, 2022, 07:56:05 PM
Football matches can give a shocking results. Don't be surprised if Fulham wins over Manchester City at their home game.
Upset is always a thing in football, but they rarely happen, that is why the bookmakers will always give the greater odd to the smaller team when they are playing a big team, because the chances are really slim for them to win. Having said that, i'm afraid i don't think there is any chance of Fulham beating City, Fulham are a very decent team and they have had a great start to life back in the EPL, but City are definitely going to be too strong for them, and mind you that Arsenal square off against Chelsea, which is a big match that Arsenal could potentially drop points in, i am pretty sure City will want to get their own job done because the possibility is high of them finishing this match week at the summit of the table.
