I also don't have much expectation from Liverpool in Etihad. Currently Manchester City are a way more stronger team than them. The match is in Etihad which is even a bigger problem for Liverpool indeed. Liverpool's win over Manchester United by an unforgettable score shouldn't be misleading for anyone. Liverpool are still a very inconsistent team and they can't be relied upon that easy in my opinion.
I second that, and if i remember correctly, i said it then that i thought Manchester United were pretty bad on the day they were thrashed 7-0, and not that Liverpool were exceptional. Jurgen Klopp's side still has quite a lot of problems, many of which i think can't be solved this season as they'd need to buy new players in the summer to address the issues.

Liverpool always has City's number when they meet at Anfield, luckily for City this game is at the Etihad, so i expect Pep's team to win, the game means everything to them, if they lose, i think Arsenal are definitely going to win the EPL, so it is a must win game. For Liverpool, victory would not change too many things for them on the table, though it could build their confidence for the games left to be played this season.
1962  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Don’t buy Bitcoin when FUD is over on: March 23, 2023, 06:09:52 PM
Of course everyone wishes/wants to buy low and then sell high, but it isn't always the case because the market is volatile and somewhat unpredictable. Sometimes whilst waiting to buy low, the price pumps and you regret why you hadn't bought since, and at that point you are caught up in two minds if you should buy now the price has appreciated, or do you wait for an upcoming fall in price before buying. The whole thing is difficult to keep on speculating this way, thus the best thing to do is follow a strategy and stick with it no matter what, even if your emotions are telling you otherwise.

Having said that, if you are a long term investor who uses DCA, the price of Bitcoin at the time you want to buy should not be your problem because you are hodling for a long time, and you will buy some low, some a little bit higher, but overall the average price would be favorable. But for short term investors, they have to be careful when they purchase, or else they'd be forced to hodl for long, or sell at a loss.
1963  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 23, 2023, 05:45:11 PM
I don't know if it's possible (definitely not) but my dream would be to be able to see Real Madrid vs Napoli
who knows what game it would be, on the one hand the experience of the Champions League on the other a team that is grinding victories after victories
You mean in the final right, because the both of them can only meet in the final if they both win their QF and SF ties. Well it isn't something that's impossible, i for one believe Napoli would make it to the final because from my prediction, i pick them to beat AC Milan and to defeat the winner of the Benfica v Inter Milan tie.

Having said that, the problem is if Real Madrid can pass through their own hurdles, they have Chelsea to contend with in the QF, and should they come out of that tie unscathed, then they have the winner of City v Bayern to face in the SF, it is going to be really tough. Personally i want to see City in the final at Instanbul, Real Madrid have won this tournament too many times and i don't wish them to win it again this season, or even get to the final.
1964  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Please explain the math behind the DCA. I am confused. on: March 23, 2023, 04:30:38 PM
Well, i don't think anything changes, if you bought the 350 CNS at an average price of 45 U.S dollars per coin, even if you took out 100 of them, the remaining 250 were still bought at 45 U.S dollars per coin. The change in average price would occur if the price of CNS rises and you start to accumulate again, then would the average price per coin change.

Having said that, mind you that DCA is usually best with coins that are sustainable for the long term, if you are using DCA to accumulate a coin that has no actual utility or sustainability, you might run into a huge loss in the future.
1965  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning]: ChipMixer and clone sites are still in the wild on: March 23, 2023, 04:09:26 PM
Doesn't sized sites become the burden of the state to track down clone sites? meaning blocking all sites starts with chipmixer?
The government/state wouldn't waste its time going after clone/dummy sites, once they have taken down the big fish that they are targeting, they go after other big targets, it is the duty of the person seeking to use the website to research and make sure that they are in the right place, and if you go to the correct website/domain, just as in the case of Chipmixer, you'd get a warning that the site/domain has been seized. Of course clone sites would be taken down if found, but i don't think the state 'exhausts' its resources to seriously go after them.
Or is it possible for the same site to return again once the domain name is changed?
If this is possible, the same site may come back using a new domain name and gain trust fast (although I think they did not)
Woudn't that depend on the reason the site was seized, if a site was taken down for serious offenses, then a search and prosecution of those running the websites would follow, and surely that domain isn't returning, ever.
1966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 21, 2023, 07:52:51 PM
I tend to think Bernardo Silva's style of play and vision suits Barcelona better than Real Madrid. However, considering that Barcelona is having problems with financial conditions, Real Madrid is at the forefront of obtaining the player's services.
I am yet to hear any rumor regarding Real Madrid being interested in City's Bernado Silva, the rumors for years have been that Bernado Silva likes Barcelona, and if he was to leave City it would be for the Camp Nou. I think Real Madrid have enough midfielders, both young and old, and i think they would be contented with that, or just go for Bellingham, and even if they fail to land the English international, they would go on to play with the squad they have.

Having said that, Bernado Silva is an excellent player, and every football club would want to have him, i don't think City even has any plans of selling him, except the player decides he wants to leave, and Pep has formed a policy at the club in which he sells players who are unhappy and only keeps those who want to play for the club.
1967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2022/2023 on: March 21, 2023, 07:15:08 PM
By the looks of it, Ronaldo could get upset here as well, which I wouldn't really blame all on him considering the type of players he plays with, but the fact that he got here when they were leading the league and they may lose the league after he got here will definitely cause a lot of mockery. That doesn't mean that he was the reason for it, but it will not stop people from mocking him of course, just the situation itself is sort of funny already and that is why I would guess that there will be a ton of memes and videos mocking him in the end this season if they can't win the title. They still have the chance, but they just need to fight much harder.
I second that too, there are quite a lot of Ronaldo haters all over the internet, people waiting for him to fail or be put on the bench so they can make fun of him, i know it is all part of the banter, but sometime last year i began to think if maybe those in higher authorities actually somewhat dislike Ronaldo, not that it matters though, but it feels like Fifa and some of the other governing bodies are Messi fanboys.

Having said that, Ronaldo's arrival for the amount of money in question raised the expectations, of course Al Nassr is expected to win the Saudi Pro league, and if they don't so many people would turn to Ronaldo and ask what his impact has been in the team. Well there are still many games to play, and i think Al Nassr can do it, i hope they win the league because of Ronaldo.
1968  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: March 21, 2023, 06:15:16 PM
Pep knows Bayern well, is familiar with their football culture.  I think that one of the teams that will go to the final can be the winner of this match.
Very tough game this is, fit to be a final in any season, but unfortunately we have to experience it in the QF this season, the two clubs have quite a lot of expectation on their shoulders, with the quality they have, they are expected to go all the way in the CL, but only one can progress to the SF.

Having said that, Pep knows Bayern, but quite a lot have changed since he left the team some years ago, new manager, many new players, and of course new style of play, thus i don't think because he was a former manager he would know what to expect. City play the first leg at home, so they must use their home advantage to get the win, because it is always difficult in the Allianz Arena.
1969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 21, 2023, 05:39:26 PM
The match between Manchester city and Liverpool will be a huge contest for both teams. Should Liverpool lose then the top four race is out of there sight. For Manchester city should they lose it will dent their league hopes for the league but I don’t think that is all because some clubs have lost the title from 10 points with just few games left.
Be it a win for Liverpool, i don't still think they have any hopes/chances of making the top four, imo the game is not all that crucial for Liverpool, but the game means everything to Manchester City. Mind you that Arsenal are now 8 points above City, albeit the Etihad club has a game in hand, but if City should lose to Liverpool on the 1st of April and Arsenal beat Leeds, then City would be 12 points adrift, with a game in hand, that would be game over if you ask me. It is a must win for City, and a good thing for them that they play this match in the Etihad.
1970  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much return are we expecting next bull run? on: March 21, 2023, 05:31:46 PM
I am currently even on a few of the altcoins I hold and thinking of moving them into Bitcoin so that I can make Bitcoin around 50% of my portfolio.
Even if i don't do this sort of diversification (Bitcoin and Altcoins), i think this moves makes more sense, it would mean in my own view that the 50% of your portfolio in Bitcoin is somewhat safe, whilst the other 50% in altcoins is unpredictable, if they pump and you are quick enough to sell, then good for you, but if they dump or do not appreciate, then your bad. But at least you've already secured 50% of your portfolio in an asset that has an actual utility.
I think Bitcoin will hit around $120k in 2025 but that will not be enough for me to sell I would rather accumulate more to the point where I own almost one full Bitcoin and then sell it in the 2029 bull run when I think will the price will be around $350k or more.
2029 is quite a long time from now, but we can just speculate and wait for what is ahead (if we are alive by then), but you are bullish on Bitcoin and so are many other people and myself as well, so we'd just continually accumulate and sell when we think is the right time to do so.
1971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 20, 2023, 07:16:50 PM
I also think that if Potter were fired what would be a loss would be Chelsea having to build a team from scratch again.
Graham Potter was only recently appointed manager, it is not like he has been at Stamford Bridge for years, thus even if he was fired today, Chelsea wouldn't need any rebuilding, with all due respect to him, he hasn't really built anything, Chelsea look like an ordinary team most times, and that has got to change.
Chelsea's focus this season seems to be only the UCL.
I'm afraid i don't think there any chance in hell that Chelsea is going to win the CL this season, i can't even see a way for them to get past Real Madrid. It is becoming glaring that they wouldn't play CL football next season, because they aren't going to enter the top four, neither are they going to win the CL this season.
1972  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much return are we expecting next bull run? on: March 20, 2023, 07:02:39 PM
10x on my portfolio not Bitcoin price. Bitcoin will only hit max $150k next bull run which is only a 5x which is why you need altcoins in your portfolio.

Some altcoins pumped 10-20x last month alone, Bitcoin does that is 5-10 years  Undecided
It is your strategy, thus if you believe in it you should stick to it. But if i am somewhat sure of a x5 of Bitcoin's price in the next bull run/after the next halving, then i'd take it, you believe you need altcoins in your portfolio because it can go way higher than that, maybe a x20 or x30, but which of them are you putting your money on to go that high? Or you'd just guess/gamble with quite a lot of them and hope to hit the jackpot, what if you are unlucky on all your guesses and most of them are just bagholding coins.
1973  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: The Role of Currency Spectators In Currency Value Case Study of 9ja ₦ vs $ on: March 20, 2023, 06:50:51 PM
-so the question is, is it justifiable for the CBN to use anti-graft agencies such as the EFCC to arrest currency speculators/p2p Exchange?
It depends oh, that one na just a small part of the bigger problem, and the Nigerian government suppose look themselves critically before them begin go after currency speculators, are they themselves doing anything to cause economic growth and increase our foreign reserves, currency speculators just they take opportunity when them see am, and na our government they give them that opportunity. If to say we they produce goods locally for export, or we get enough refineries so we go they export petrol and not to import it, we no go they talk about this problem today na.

If the foreign reserves they insufficient, abeg wetin you want make currency speculators do, they have to take advantage na, and when them see say demand choke, na to increase the price they go so na. We be consumption country, we no they produce anything, we no they create jobs, we no they export anything, macroeconomics no good, government policies they kill microeconomics, etc, etc, if we begin tackle all of these, inflation rate go drop, value of naira would go up and e go come they easy to go after currency speculators, though them no go even too they, because to make profit go hard.
1974  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much return are we expecting next bull run? on: March 20, 2023, 11:47:51 AM
Bitcoin takes up 30% of my portfolio with the rest in altcoins.
That is 70% in altcoins that have no actual utility, you might want to reconsider that. Anyway i can't speak confidently for the other 70% of your portfolio, because yes many altcoins really pump during the bull run, but you have to be lucky to be hodling the one that's going to pump, and you also have to be very fast to sell, because a dump might follow afterwards.

Having said that, we cannot predict how much Bitcoin would appreciate in the next bull run/next halving, many predictions has been coming out of late, but they are basically just speculations, just accumulate as much as you can and we'd see, at least you are rest assured that your funds are safe in Bitcoin if you do your due diligence.

Haaland is Manchester city next captain, they will do anything to commit him to stay for a very long period, Haaland has broken alot of Manchester city records in his first season already. he is part of Manchester city and pep project. no reasonable team should bid for him now. until he finishes his contracts
There are quite a lot of senior players in City that will come ahead of Erling Haaland in the pecking order for who should be captain, i don't even get it why this is up for any discussion, there is no statement from City as to a change in captain now or in the future, neither do thay have to do that to make Erling Haaland stay at the Etihad.

Having said that, Erling is happy at City, he has scored 42 goals thus far this season, he is definitely going to remain at the Etihad for years to come. I don't think any club is even going to make any bid for him right now or in the recent future, but if the opportunity presents itself later in the future, and Haaland is no longer happy at the Etihad or his contract is coming to an end and he is yet to renew it, then other clubs can swoop in and try to recruit him, but for now he is very much committed to the City project.
1976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: March 20, 2023, 10:17:40 AM
Arsenal have stretched their lead at the summit of the EPL table to 8 points, though City have a game in hand anyway, but nontheless it is an outstanding feat by Arteta and his boys, they are cruising to their first EPL title in over 19 years, but it is not over just yet as i am pretty sure that City are going to push them and it is definitely going down to the wire.

Having said that, the run-in after the International break is going to be really interesting, there are big games coming for the both teams, and it is the team that is most consistent in that period that would win the title, but as it stands now, Arsenal are fully in control.
1977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking advice needed on: March 20, 2023, 09:39:39 AM
1. Pick top coins like Bitcoin
Bitcoin cannot be "staked" per se, Bitcoin operates using the POW algorithm, and technically coins that can be staked are POS coins. If you want to earn ROI on your Bitcoins, then you'd have to hodl it yourself in your non custodial wallet and be patient enough to wait for the long term.
2. You can choose to stake on Binance exchange, if anything goes wrong they will pay you back, Binance exchange takes responsibility for any users funds that get lost or stolen, using damage funds.
Are you sure about that? AfAIK Binance and other centralized exchanges do not take responsibility if their users funds are stolen or lost, it is even written in black and white in their terms of use:
Quote
BY MAKING USE OF BINANCE SERVICES, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT: (1) YOU ARE AWARE OF THE RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH TRANSACTIONS OF DIGITAL CURRENCIES AND THEIR DERIVATIVES; (2) YOU SHALL ASSUME ALL RISKS RELATED TO THE USE OF BINANCE SERVICES AND TRANSACTIONS OF DIGITAL CURRENCIES AND THEIR DERIVATIVES; AND (3) BINANCE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY SUCH RISKS OR ADVERSE OUTCOMES.

The kind level of political apathy wey go follow after this disgrace wey INEC call election ehn, next four years if you tell person say make e come out come vote, e go ask you why e go waste him time when him vote no go count, and that is true, it is a sham, and INEC should be ashamed of itself for spending billions of taxpayers money, only to conduct this nonsense.

I no even bother myself yesterday, i no even waste my time to follow the election online or to go out and vote, Feb 25th show me say na evil people get this country, so why i go enter polling unit go waste my time when the results can be manipulated with ease, as e be now so ehn, make all Nigerians just they find way to escape poverty individually, because this nation really has nothing to offer to us, only shege.
1979  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is OK to sell but is better to wait on: March 19, 2023, 05:32:00 PM
Well, that depends a whole lot on what you are hodling in the first place, if your portfolio is filled with altcoins, which are known to be pump and dump/short term projects, you might want to sell the moment you are in profit because hodling it longer that necessary might result in a huge crash for the coin, leaving you on the receiving end; even if you are hodling an altcoin and it starts to dump, it is better to sell off and cut some of your losses, than still hodling it thinking it might appreciate again, so many altcoins become extinct after a huge dump, so you would not want to be a bagholder, would you?

Having said that, if you are hodling Bitcoin and you haven't invested more than you can afford to lose, which of course gives you the liberty to hodl for as long as possible, then you should not sell, if you are patient, in the long run you'd reap the rewards of hodling your Bitcoins.

Few people lose their life because of FTX and Luna's demise, because they focused all their money and attention on one project, avoid doing this, diversity brings less grief and more hope. Be safe.
FTX was an exchange, and the solution to people who lost their entire net worth to FTX crash isn't diversification, except you are advising people to diversify funds across different exchanges, rather the solution is for people to use non custodial wallets and should not hodl their funds in exchanges.

Having said that, Luna was a native token, should people even have been hodling such, let alone diversifying with some of it in their stash, the solution is for people to hodl a crypto that has a real utility like Bitcoin and diversify with other assets/commodities/businesses that are not intrinsically related to crypto.
