1961  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you convert BTC to USD, EUR or YUAN for profit? on: April 12, 2017, 10:00:52 AM
i live on Asia and my local exchange always be my priority if i want to trade bitcoin

because there is big exchange in my country available the feature can convert bitcoin to my local currency directly

Localbitcoins works just great for me

For some reasons Localbitcoins never provide good rates where I live. The price for BTC right now for example is almost 10% lower than the real price if you want to sell. So I use smaller local exchanges which provide better rates and work smoothly almost always. Once your transaction has 3 confirmations you get local currency on your Credit Card in a matter of minutes.
1962  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is this man addicted to gambling? on: April 12, 2017, 09:04:54 AM
My close friend is 50 years old. He's never been addicted to anything throughout his life. His friend made a poker website and now he keeps playing there a lot. he also uses some free tickets to tournaments he gets from betcoin.ag signature campaign. He plays almost every day for a few hours. And he became more nervous in general. But he doesn't think he's addicted and his argument for that is that he can stop playing for a day or two (that's true) and he doesn't spend his own money on it at all. Would you call such a man addicted?
i think yes he is addicted because he made it compulsory for his life as he play it daily for few hours, although if he is not spending money for this but addiction is not used for that things for which we have to spend money.

I think it would be worthwhile to draw a line between gambling addiction which makes one constanly losing their money making close relatives unhappy and the "addiction" to the entertaining side of the process. The latter isn't so bad in my opinion unless it doesn't lead to the real addiction. I'd suggest that guy to cut the time he's spending on gambling though.
1963  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Play with your profit or not? on: April 11, 2017, 03:57:11 PM
When you guys are gambling and already doubled your bankroll, do you still play with the whole money you got or you take away half of your bankroll and start playing with your profit or not?

Depends on the profit. If you being a wise guy deposited only $2 just to have fun with gambling and after doubling your bankroll your profit is $2 and you can easily afford losing $4, then why not? But if you hit a jackpot which probably can happen once in a life time then gambling with the money is just stupid in my opinion.
1964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Would investing into an altcoin pump it's value? on: April 11, 2017, 03:26:38 PM
Alright, forgive me if this is a dumb question, but I'm not too experienced when it comes to day trading.

So, lets say 100 people buy 10$ worth of a small altcoin; would that not cause it to skyrocket in value? I know that it wouldn't last forever (just a simple pump) but it would probably get pumped enough to allow the original people to sell and get a little cash. Am I right or do I just have no idea what I'm saying?

Actually even small altcoins need much more than $1k for a pump and it is not so easy to convince hundreds of people to invest $10 in an unknown coin because most people even with a bit of trading experience know that the chances of making profit are very small. You have to react in minutes if the dumping has started otherwise you will lose your money most likely.
1965  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You can't avoid taxes by investing in bitcoin on: April 11, 2017, 12:23:56 PM
If you think investing in bitcoin or a similar “crypto-currency” may be a good method for hiding income from the tax man, you’d better think again.
http://nypost.com/2017/04/08/no-you-cant-avoid-taxes-by-investing-in-bitcoin/

I am smelling something good here with the news. If the government declared about how peoples can't avoid the taxes by investing in bitcoin, it means directly or indirectly government said that they recognize the existence of bitcoin and how it can be profitable to invest.

It's a good sign they start to think how to tax investment in Bitcoin, but that definitely won't be easy to do. I have a vague notion of how taxation works but as far as I know the scheme to tax everyone properly wasn't yet invented. Many rich people, even without resort to Bitcoin, constantly avoid taxation and only a few of them are getting caught.
1966  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: April 11, 2017, 11:27:59 AM
Gold can be invested by most users. BTC is still not in mainstream. It is hard for average to understand

It may not be the mainstream investment right now and no doubt gold is still preferred by many investors. It is because they still don't have an idea of what bitcoin is. For me they are good investments depending on where you want to depend, but having them both is better.

Why having both is better? I think everyone should decide for themselves what is better, either gold or Bitcoin, and invest in that one thing. For example if you know that Bitcoin is better why invest in gold? Yes it's more risky to invest in one thing but on the other hand you'll have greater profit in case you were right.

IMO people heavily overestimate gold and in the future the price of it will be falling. It will never be zero though because gold is a precious metal, but, like I said, heavily overestimated.
1967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Giving up gambling is not easy on: April 11, 2017, 10:06:08 AM
You need to be self committed in order to get yourself out of gambling. Gambling is like a addiction and it is indeed very difficult for anyone to be able to get himself away from it. I just wonder, if anyone is winnig is Gambling and getting the money, why would he /she like to quit it ?  No one hates money ofcourse. Wink

It is easy to get out just as it is easy for you to get into it. No matter how you get into this mess, you are free to get out whenever you want. People are too desperate to quit gambling that they forget all they need to do is just STOP. I mean completely stop anything, if you stop everything then there is no way for you to get back in

Easier said than done because in reality even if you stop gambling completely for one week or for one month you return to it sooner or later. So I think it's better to learn how to manage your greed because it's our greed is what turning an entertaining game into a catastrophe.

Do not expect to have fast and easy money which some people calim gambling can bring because exactly this way of thinking leads to gambling addiction.
1968  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: YO-EX ---- FAST, RESPONSIVE AND FEATURE PACKED EXCHANGE. on: April 10, 2017, 01:56:44 PM
As it was already mentioned above the design of the site is amazing. Right now there are only YOC and YOG against BTC and USD but hopefully other coins will be added.

Right now the Yocoin's Market Cap is just $2,282,202 according to https://coinmarketcap.com/assets/yocoin/ , but it were over $6M already twice in history, in July 2016 and in January 2017 so quite possibly it will reach that level again.
1969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice Stettings at 92% Chance on: April 10, 2017, 08:43:54 AM
So I tried this strategy at a dice site and I'm thinking of the odds of winning
So I set the chance of winning to 92% and start with minimum bet of 1000 Satoshis with profit of 76 Satoshis
Now, I could win like 9-11 times in a row, sometimes higher and lose
After losing, what would be the chance that I could lose again twice in a row?
I'm thinking of if I lose with that settings, I could go all-in with higher bet since my chance winning is higher.
What do you guys think?

I know what you are talking about. This is a known strategy which must work as many gamblers think and I myself also was part of them. What are the odds of losing two times in a row playing with 92% winning chance? Yes, we all know that the outcome of the previvous bet has no impact on the outcome of the consecutive one, but still it seems the chances of two reds in a row are extremely small. So after losing we increase our base bet 10 times and, in most cases, we recover the previvous loss. But the thing is that it is possible to lose two, three or even four times in a row playing with 92% winning chance. And when this happens we lose it all.

1971  Economy / Economics / Re: crypto is the future, make money of it on: April 06, 2017, 02:42:02 PM
What do you think about the fact that cryptocurrencies will literally be the future ? In a few years, it will exploded and, be rich if we hold many ?

Getting it ready and widely accepted by mainstream will boost value for cryptocurrencies and good profits for early investors

You said well - for early investors. It is very important to invest in the crypto currency at the initial stage. I later joined the bitcoin community. Therefore, I can not rely on too much profit.
But, I know for sure that I will be able to make some money on this

I don't think you were too late to make good profits with your investment. It's true that early investors earn the most in case a crypto turns out to be a good one, but they also risk more than others do. For example right now, instead of investing in Bitcoin you can invest in a new crypto and you'll be the early investor, but no one can guarantee that the crypto you invested in won't turn into nothing in the next few months.
1972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Giving up gambling is not easy on: April 05, 2017, 05:18:17 PM
Just lost $8 on satoshimines but I think playing with small amounts is not a problem I'm doing gambling for fun only.
How if you saved that for more future purposes ? Playing with small amount is really good more thrill on that for me bcoz the experienced and techniques that you know you can apply with that making small amounts into big amounts is the best feeling of all the time. Not just playing gambling for fun but to set a goal and then reach that for good.

If I were losing $8 every day it would be too much for me, but if someone can afford it it's great and I'm glad for him. I like your idea to apply gambling experience to real life in case it's positive, in case you turn small amount in a big one, but if the opposite happens? What if one just loses and loses evey time he starts to gamble? Then I think it's better to stop and it's better to not draw conclusions from the experience. Because in my opinion it is easier to win in real life than in gambling.
1973  Economy / Services / Re: Five Star Reviews 4 mbtc on: April 02, 2017, 05:02:29 PM
First of all, the amount of money you have to pay is so cheap compared to what you get, review is a highly demanding job with sharp words and inspiring readers. Reviewers deserve a minimum of 0.03 for their posts.
And in particular, you own a negative trust, and that belief says: "Trying to sell a method to cheat a casino and cheating users with ridiculous fee" (by yahoo62278), that is a bad thing, and We can hardly trust you, so if you want this service to work, I ask you to deposit and upgrade the reward. I will think back and join your service if you do.

As far as I understand he's not proposing a reward for writing reviews, but he wants someone to hire him for the job. So if you think 3mbtc is a cheap price you can hire him or propose to your friends to hire him. I also think that around $3 for a good-quality review is not that big money for gambling site owners.
1974  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-03-30]Decentralized Exchange Bitsquare Fulfills the Dreams of Cypherpunks on: March 31, 2017, 02:26:04 PM
This week Bitcoin.com chatted with Manfred Karrer, the founder of the decentralized cryptocurrency exchange Bitsquare.

The platform Bitsquare considers itself to be the first fully decentralized cryptocurrency exchange that operates with privacy-centric foundations. The Bitsquare protocol was created in 2014, offering bitcoin trading against a number of altcoins and national currencies with no third party centralization. Karrer gives our readers some insight on the platform’s recent development, its rebranding phase, and the upcoming DAO white paper.

Read More Here >>> https://news.bitcoin.com/bitsquare-aims-fulfill-dreams-cypherpunks/

They have 2000 users so far, but I think exchanges ilke Bitsquare, decentralized, easy to use, designed not for constant speculating but for those who just want sell/buy altcoins once per day, are the future. They did not spend much effort on promotion and haven't translated their app to to other languages, as they say themselves, and I think that's why they are comparatively not known.
1975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you play Dice can you feel your heart in your throat? on: March 30, 2017, 01:08:47 PM
I don't know man every time I play dice or any game that you can lose fast or win fast just with a few clicks I can feel my heart tapping on my throat
loool, how about you?

This happens only when I go all in and when the amount is significant to me, like over 200k satoshis. Normally I try to avoid going all in so the feeling you described I experience rarely.
Lossing 200k sat makes you worried ?
Then probably you are still staying safer with gambling. In my beginning days even I am losing 0.001 bitcoins made me so frustrated. But now a days, even losing 0.1 bitcoins within single da,y I'm not bothering that much.

Your all-in will vary with your experience. As long as you are keeping your losses small, you may keep your all-in small and getting frustrations could be avoided.

That's right and I suggest this approach to gambling to everybody:

1. Never deposit more than you can afford to lose;
2. Avoid going all in at least at the beginning of your game.

But if you are tired of gambling already you can go all in and then stop whatever the outcome.
1976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It is not worth it, right? on: March 29, 2017, 12:03:13 PM
If you take gambling as a way to generate constant daily profit than it is not worth to gamble because you will never get profit always. Actually gambling with amount more than you can afford to lose is pretty foolish move.

Gambling should be considered as way to get entertained.

They should teach that in schools, like 2X2=4, IMO, then we'd have less unhappy people around. Trying to turn gambling in a profitable activity is like trying to make 2X2=5. And the reason why people ignore this fact is their greed which they can't control. Well, they pay the price for it.

1978  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hey guys do real BTC is starting falling apart ? on: March 25, 2017, 01:00:06 PM
Don't be fooled by this move towards Alt coins... there are most probably some sinister agendas behind this. People are making huge profits by

hyping up this whole "crisis" .... Some coins are seeing huge spikes in their price and nothing pushing that other than hype surrounding the

supposed problems around Bitcoin. ETH and Dash and some other coins are being used to make profits for people who bought before this bubble

was created.... and when these bubbles burst... these people would have syphoned off millions and loads of people will be left with empty

bags.  Roll Eyes

I'm wondering where they will move their huge profits after alt bubbles burst? If they will decide to buy BTC with it, which is entirely possible, then Bitcoin will skyrocket and those who are buying now at under $1,000 will make good profits.  Wink
1979  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-03-23] Ultimate White Hat Hacker Large Bitcoin Collider Passes 1,000 Addrs on: March 23, 2017, 04:22:06 PM
1,000 trillion key searches and they came up with 2 BTC addresses that contains not even 1 BTC.  Grin .... Why would someone even want to spend

that much money to gain that little? I know they do not do this for the monetary gain, but if someone wanted to do this, they would have spend

millions to gain very little. They did find some keys to easy addresses, but they were empty.  Grin

Exactly. The Collider is being used to demonstrate the true strength of Bitcoin’s security as they say and IMO they have achieved their goal. Hackers can't afford such collider in the first place and now it was shown that even if they can they would gain nothing.
1980  Economy / Gambling / Re: PenguinDice: An Open Source Bitcoin Dice Betting Tor Hidden Service on: March 23, 2017, 03:12:48 PM
It was a bit of a nice surprise because I thought that maybe the site has stopped operating already.
No they are operating and live always without any problem.

IMO it’s a great site. I’m wondering how many people are using it?
Yes its great site and if you use TOR browser to play there you will get better experience. Site is good for gamblers who like to remain completely anonymous.

I have no reasons to hide myself so at first I was accessing the site with GoogleChrome using this address https://penguinsyuo2gtvz.onion.to/. But then I downloaded the TOR browser just for fun I now play on the site using TOR.

@piloder, It looks like you are using the site too. So what's your statistics there?
