1961  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XSH] TOR/i2p, Quantum proof, MN, PoS/PoW, Fully ano, SHIELD on: February 16, 2018, 11:12:05 PM
What is the next function to be implemented? Is not there anything until summer?
Whales are incoming, once that happens it will moon again. I've been in their forums, they are privately discussing buying up XSH

I think traders and investors are waiting for a favorable market condition before plunging into crypto again. Let's just wait, Bitcoin is starting to recover.

Yeah the market is so unstable right now, it's so unpredictable, even with technical analysis it's hard to predict where the market is going right now that's why traders are waiting for the right timing to get in and resume trading. Also in a newcomer's point of view the market looks very scary right now so that's another reason why recently most of the coins' that have a really high potential like shield isn't really going up that much. But as what you said, patience is really the key here, let's just wait for a couple of weeks I'm sure shield will bounce back and hopefully reach another all time high.

This coin has been down so long it looks like an easy bet.
1962  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / High Percentage Staking/Low Cost Coin Update on: February 16, 2018, 10:53:29 PM
I posted almost this same thing in another thread but thought it was valuable for more to see.

I have been using staking coins intensely for the last 8 months or so and this is the list I've come up with.

Other good coins I've found like BOAT are Truckcoin, RAIN, VersionCoin, Growthcoin, Healthyworm, Chess, 808, Compound, 1337 (ELITE), PoSToken (stakes in Ethereum wallet), Bitradio and BUZZ.   These are all coins we should fight for in case any weird forces try to overshadow them.   They also all have good enough communities.

Bottlecaps was/is good but needs to get on a decent exchange.

BOAT stakes consistently, and even though there isn't a high percentage, it stakes quite often with not much investment.   I think should support this list and promote them to keep up with good staking gains.

Backing up staking wallets is easy, just make a few copies of your wallet.dat file in the Appdata folder and encrypt it.

The good thing with Boat is that the price is holding steady even though not much is going on here. I think once we get some news updates from the dev it can make the price even more stable as it gives people confidence to buy and hold the coin. Not sure what is going on with both projects as we have not heard from the dev in a while now so I hope he is working on the project.

I have been using staking coins intensely for the last 8 months or so and this coin is really pulling ahead.   It stakes consistently, and even though there isn't a high percentage, it stakes quite often with not much investment.   People are shilling a lot of staking coins that lose big money, so I think we should all stick with BOAT and promote it to keep up with all the crappy coins out there.

1964  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] IPO of MaidSafe:  Entering the Future of the Decentralized Internet on: February 16, 2018, 10:29:22 PM
Maid is not getting any attention at all. Patience has been the key here for years but you guys are clearly doing something wrong. Crypto community as a whole does not care about MAID at all, its just an old shitcoin for most of the people. Need hype, new exchanges, marketing etc.

They should book a huge hall for their next conference and print out 1000 free tickets and give them out.   That would spike the price.
1965  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is best PoS coin to invest into right now? on: February 16, 2018, 10:10:46 PM
You should check out OPC , it currently offer 1200% reward per year for staking, but in 2 months it will offer 1500% reward per year for staking.
I expect the price to increase a lot before the 1500% reward per year kicks in.
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/op-coin/

Awesome. PoS coins with high rates are attractive to experience a return on investment within a short time frame. Given that cryptocurrencies have been declining in value, this would be the right time to grab some cheap PC coins. So far, that's the biggest stake rates I've ever seen on a PoS cryptocurrency. Hopefully, the inflation won’t affect the coin's value in the long term.

Things aside, another good PoS coin to invest into is Radium. It has some nice stake rates, a supportive community, and a dedicated development team. Sometimes, I wonder why it is undervalued, as it has good dedication and brings many exciting features. Nevertheless, RADS and OPC are good PoS coins to have on your portfolio for the long term. Wink

OPCoin is killing it right now. I don't know, if this price remains or not, but my income now is ridiculous.
With 1000$ of investment currently I'm getting 3.29% or 32.9$ daily! After 100k block it will be 4.11% or 411.2$ for 1000$ investment!
Even with the price fall my income is very good Smiley

If you want to keep making money, you have to get more people to stake high percentage coins.  Most people don't even have the skills or sense of security.  If you don't...price chart has not looked good for this coin for the last week.  It's gone from 12 cents to 4 cents.  That's a long term drop in crypto, although many have dropped in the last two weeks.

Top ROI on this site ^^

Staking usually returns a different rate than running a node.

1967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DAO][VR] The Movement | Fully Decentralized Organization | VR Headquarter on: February 16, 2018, 03:41:55 AM

bapp, I like your style. If I understood that correctly you're leaving those funds for development?    If that's the case, let me suggest something to the community.

How does the community feel about using the funds to have a website developed to support future community expansion and development?  Now, this, of course, would mean a whole lot of work would need to be done by the community in preperation.  Just curious as to everyone's thoughts as to the directions we should go.

Well, thank bapp for your huge support.
I dont think we need money for website, money people have asked about but no one confirmed if they can do that.
People will be willing to make website for free.
But till we dont have super clear things, vision and roadmap. What we will write on website.
Where is the content, about who we are , what we plan to do, how we will execute.
Discuss these things and I can make a free website using good html template or good wordpress theme, where you can have your own hosted blog as well.

Even i offered free website development, no one seems interested to take project development forward.

I think most of us would want you to do that and show it to the thread to get approval.   I think after a week of voting, it would get approved, since it's a democratic decision.  If people aren't checking in at least once a week, then they can skip a vote on something.

1968  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DAO][VR] The Movement | Fully Decentralized Organization | VR Headquarter on: February 15, 2018, 11:26:11 AM
Believers in The Movement, consider donating a little bit. As stated above if the amount is not met by February 22 Dropper will refund the donators.

I think considering what the market has gone through in the last two months, we should all ask to extend the time.  A lot of us have seen our balances go down and we are HODLing until they go up.  Why put such a limited timespan on something that was supposed to be about more than money.  Raising 1 BTC, or presening $10,000, is a lot for even an average group of people these days, especially if much of our income is derived from cryptocurrency.
1969  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Bottlecaps 2.1 UPDATE REQUIRED - HARDFORK JULY 4 2014 to 200% Annual PoS on: February 15, 2018, 11:19:08 AM
If our blockchain is working fine, it seems needed to bring the coin to another exchange.  Seems simple enough.  A lot of exchanges are offering free listings, maybe even Yobit would accept it.
1970  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The First Litecoin PPS Pool (litecoinpool.org) on: February 15, 2018, 11:17:43 AM
Now that LTC has gone up so much it would be wonderful to half the minimum payout amount.   It might bring more hash to the pool.

Any possibility to get listed on some middle sized exchange like Cryptopia? Kucoin would actually be great, since it does not require paperwork for accepting new users.

Yobit offers a free inquiry to see if they would add it for free, but I know a lot of people don't like them.  I only mention it as a third or fourth exchange.

Here is something from the TALK coin thread about getting listed for free on BarterDEX:

"Join Komodo slack, then ask for assistance , the dev team behind BarterDEX are extremely helpful, one of the best communities in crypto, jl777 sets a great example and leads by example too, hard working, always available to discuss things, good humored, patient.
listing on BarterDEX is free, but TALK community needs to do some 'work' too, not like a centralised exchange where you pay $$ and they do everything for you."

Is there any link that will update which exchanges are on board for this?  I've run litecoin core for a while but just as soon have it on an exchange.
1973  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DAO][VR] The Movement | Fully Decentralized Organization | VR Headquarter on: February 14, 2018, 02:12:59 AM
There hasn't been much discussion in here in the last couple of weeks nor donations from many people.  This is to be expected from other airdrops, there is no doubt about that.  But I could never understand why these people don't realize that to not support a project makes their coins worth less, unless they sell immediately.  So, maybe we are now dealing with much less people that we realize. Maybe they got their coins, it was less than they wanted, they sold, and we won't see them again.  I think about 12 - 15 people donated at last count.

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."

I am thinking the only way to get the vision of this coin going again is to sell a lot at a cheaper rate.  I wanted to do that by bounties but people do not seem to yet have the vision of empowering artists by teaching them how to use cryptocurrency.  This way, you can get a half million ProgRock tokens for about $5 and do what you want with them.
1975  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Interstellar Holdings (HOLD) POS/POW COIN WITH PURPOSE! SCRYPT/HIGH APR on: February 13, 2018, 11:45:25 PM
just tried to staking a coin for the first time, so I need some information about staking Hold coin.
I have send some Hold coin to my wallet since 23th December, my wallet has active and staking. When and how long I can get the result of my staking?

You need a certain amount of coins to generate a stake.  Usually, it's over 1000 coins but on some wallets like Bitradio it can be about 200 to get about a stake a week.  Not sure how many for this coin.  There are many like Truck, Version, Rain, Healthyworm and 808 where it isn't much, so maybe this coin is like them.

It's been staking pretty good with not that many coins.  In the future, this may be a 10,000 sat coin so the stakes may be worth holding on to.  I can see how this is like Piggycoin which kind of has a piggy bank staking look to it, something to get more people into cryptocurrency.
1979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [CHC] ChainCoin - Cryptopia & Novaexchange - Required update 0.9.3.2 on: February 12, 2018, 06:54:58 PM
The windows miner is no longer linked on the OP.  Someone here says you need to dl the wallet/blockchain to mine. Seems incorrect:

https://steemit.com/chaincoin/@takecare14/how-to-start-a-chaincoin-mine-chain-coin-chc

I tried to mine it with CPU using instructions found on OP at Suprnova, which I've mined a bunch of coins at but it couldn't tell what algorithm I was giving it.

Any community here to answer this question?   How are you mining this coin in 2018?
1980  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DAO][VR] The Movement | Fully Decentralized Organization | VR Headquarter on: February 12, 2018, 06:36:59 PM
any news about new exchanges? and how much community already collected for them? do we need 2 btc only? or it is just for 1 exchange?
and who knows is there was some news from dev, cause he is absent for 3 weeks:/

You can see the progress here:
https://github.com/MovementDAO/Transparency/blob/master/Contributions.md

1.14 BTC
.77 ETH

A lot of devs go absent, probably more than 50%, and the community stays active and keeps the project alive.
