What are your miner settings? Post them for me.

setting? are there flags you can use on minerd to improve hash rates? i just put the address port U and P. i get about 300khash on a I7 laptop

Hmm I get 250kh with an Athlon X2 on windows 7 64bit!  Are you using the optimised miner that came with the client?
I would guess you should be getting more out of an I7, though mining with a laptop isn't a great idea.
1982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AnimeCoin [アニメコイン] ANI on: February 18, 2014, 07:47:19 AM
Ani was traded at 0.0001 in the last 24h at cryptorush...
Hopefully soon that will be the actual price instead of a probably finger slip.

Quick question, now it seems the blocks are moving, but still 50 blocks between 79257 and 79307 nearly 9 hours.
50 blocks should take just under 1 hour, or is it not aiming to be 70 seconds per block anymore?

chinese minicoin bagholder code a quick spambot. but you aren't fooling anyone. stop

I find it hilarious, every poorly constructed post saying how great minicoin is, all with activity 1. Whoever is doing it must be a genius!
1985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AnimeCoin [アニメコイン] ANI on: February 17, 2014, 07:14:49 AM
Question, is it possible/meaningful to mine with average laptop cpu?

Good to see anime/manga related coins, animecoin, beli, and maybe mangacoin if not already created i will do it Grin
Please don't, just support Animecoin instead.  It's obviously dilute enough already without 2 more subset coins!
1986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOUG] Dougcoin - Quark based, 10240 coins per block on: February 16, 2014, 09:10:57 PM
could someone elaborate on what the gravity well is that was added in v3 wallet?
Essentially difficulty retargets after every block. I thought it was to keep the multipools off, but as this is a CPU coin, I guess it is just to stop manipulation of the difficulty.  It's a good thing anyway.

does anyone have the gui miner but not as gui?
When i solo with the minerd, i get about half the speed of the gui version, which I can't get to solo!

Ok, I worked it out using the GUI verson, just a little tweak and I'm solo mining. Now let's see how my luck is!

I'm sorry, but these fake replies / promotions are hilarious!
Fake? no way! Are you saying that people are not made happy by minicoin because they become a winner from it!
Still a well mined coin though, even if the price is falling off.
1996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AnimeCoin [アニメコイン] ANI on: February 13, 2014, 09:35:22 PM
Not for me, bribing dody exchanges.  He doesn't do small coins? He bloody does!
Junkcoin, florincoin, franko... yeah right.

Someone will pick this up because it is a good coin, not because of a bribe.  If you happen to have millions (as a pool owner you might!) then feel free!

5 replies in a row from activity 1 posters! Interesting, maybe the dev isn't gone!

Yes, maybe to clarify we could say - Nearly 2 billion.  Although that is only an American billion, actually it is nearly 2 milliard in Europe.
Nearly 2x109 Ani in the first 6 months... clear now?!
1999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [SPOT] | **500 BLOCKS UNTIL HARD FORK ** READ THREAD - On CoinPayments.net on: February 10, 2014, 06:23:11 AM
This calcs just little simplified. Because on spots we have (multi)pools too - reward shared across miners on this pools too. Therefore, in a first approximation, all things is about the way it is.
And we still have 3 or 4 groups that accumulated about a third to a half of all coins. Do you think they will just sell for nothing and take losses? No Smiley
Is that how it works now? If I mine or buy lots of any coin, as long as I won't sell cheap the price will definely go up? No buyers required and no miners want to cover their costs anymore...?
2000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Spots [SPOT] | Now accepted on CoinPayments.net and WorkForCrypto.com on: February 07, 2014, 08:48:18 PM
I still think it should have been at block 81000, there simply isn't enough time to update everything before block 79000 Roll Eyes

Even with the change to 79000, everyone's going to have had significantly more time to update to this new version than they were expected to for the 81000 release based on the original estimates.
Sorry, i was being sarcastic!
