1981  Economy / Economics / Re: bitcoin provide income on line? on: June 07, 2017, 06:20:01 PM
Thanks to bitcoin and with activity of this forum has opened a business opportunity to earn money from online, although I have not been able to enjoy the signature campaign results from this forum, but I think signature campaign in this forum has an important role in reducing unemployment in various country
You cannot enjoy the part time things. Yes, signature campaigns are good for providing earning in part time. Hence you cannot expect getting benefits for living or earning big. Signature campaigns are good for making use of our free time hence it will not be possible to earn big with signature campaigns. Still we are getting this type earning only because of bitcoin so bitcoin definitely provide income through online.
1982  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Loss almost 40%, should stop trading or not ? on: June 07, 2017, 06:01:51 PM
Trading with btc - eth, I buy too high ( 0,082 ) and today I sell all on 0,077. Before that trade btc - ripple ( xrp ), make mistake buy 0,0002150 so today I sell with price 0,0001200. I decide to sell all because my patience is finish. I have loss almost 40% from my money, my question is simple ................. stop or continue?

I think you are buying too high because you don't want to miss out on the action. This is panic buying. Then the price drops and you realize you may have made a mistake so you panic sell for a loss.

You don't need to quit trading. You just have to discipline yourself to buy on dips or price corrections and try to always sell for profit. Just start over and count those losses as lessons learned.
Panic buying ? A new thing I just come to know. When do not want to miss out opportunities we may go for buying earlier even at higher prices that may the situation OP now facing, but I could not find is it right to call this situation as panic buying. We may put this aside, when considering the OP situations, I too will suggest to buy now itself.

Because bitcoin prices are believed to be moving toward $10k price levels. If that speculations are right then hurrying yo buy now itself must be a right option.
1983  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: So I want to get into trading. on: June 07, 2017, 04:35:34 PM
Obviously, I need BTC to get in but it seems like everything is high right now.  Should I wait till BTC is < 2k? Or ETH < 200? I'd like to get in and start trading alt coins.  But for me to maximize my profits in USD I need to wait till BTC is at a reasonable cost.  Or do you guys see it climbing to 3k in the next couple of months?
I think you need to study how the market work as you cannot really make it in trading without adequate knowledge on fundamental and technical issues on the asset you are trading. Expecting bitcoin to fell to this in just a  short time may not happen as you could have taken that opportunity last week.
Fundamental and technical analysis knowledge are very important to achieve success in trading. But we do see people are thinking about making money from trading but none of them focusing on learning phase of trading. I guess a trader always must focus on improving knowledge so that we can withstand any type of market volatility/fluctuations.
1984  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ARBITRAGE: Bitstamp -> CEX.IO - Proof of Concept on: June 07, 2017, 04:18:52 PM
...
Besides, the difference in rates is around $50 now. Apparently, someone has already followed my advice  Grin

prices usually are balanced after a while and it doesn't have to be because of arbitrage really. it can simply be one market reacting to the change later than the others. sometimes (not necessarily this case) the difference is because of timezone differences. some exchanges have more European traders and some US and some Asian, ...
But I read some local exchanges are trading in different price levels due to isolated conditions for payment options like they are unable to access other exchanges and hence they are leading or lacking in prices, but over time I did see all the exchange prices are converge to rest of world.

Honestly I am not hearing anybody making use of these price differences still I do see many people keep on spotting such opportunities. Hopefully some people would have got benefits from them but ignoring sharing here ?
1985  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My first day of trading on: June 07, 2017, 03:12:55 PM
I am new to trading. I would like to learn and take it to my profession. But my question is from where should I start?
Start by studying potential coins that will be purchased, you should have a professional partner. Set profit targets for example daily, weekly or monthly. The most important to prepare mentally and do not easily panic. Still much to learn and keep the spirit do not give up. Smiley
Yes first day of trading should be spent only on watching market movements, they should not try for going for live trading on first day itself. The success of trading is fully depending on how much time and efforts we will be putting for it. If a trader is going for live trading out of rush then he might be facing bit problems after that like when we see some high sudden volatile market, he may not have any clue how to tackle it.
1986  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin have a future? on: June 05, 2017, 06:03:17 PM
Bitcoin will be having great future regardless of some business may get closed like directbet and btcjam. We can easily conclude why btcjam is facing their end but closing of directbet must be still a mystery. But I am sure the higher bitcoin prices must be not be a reason here. But these higher prices definitely drive bitcoins into great future in upcoming months.
1987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I always lose all my tokens and btc on gambling~ on: June 05, 2017, 03:15:20 PM
All the other guys are saying to Stop from playing gambling, well they are all 100% right because if you don't want to lose any of your tokens or BTC then yes stopping from it is the best option, but if you don't want to really stop because it is just a mere past time for you then just like most people are trying to say is to limit your bets, stopping your game for the enough price you have won or lose is a great indication to stop and call it a day, but don't let yourself get addicted with this kind of game it can cause you a lot.
Well I agree if you experience continuous loss in the gambling and it seems like only wasting your time and money in it then you are left with no other option to stop it.

If you still don’t want to give up on it completely then just look at your budget and use the least portion of your budget on it, in this way you will satisfy both your hobby needs and also face no major losses. It will be good for you to try your luck in trading etcetera.
1988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to know if a gambling site is a scam or not? on: June 05, 2017, 01:12:40 PM
Well to spot a scam casino is like having some small house edge (HE) like 999dice.com that have only 0.1% house edge. Then it thay way we can spot a scam casino that having some small house Edge and can manipulate the all bets. Like what 999dice.com did many of their gamblers
I'm just learning a new technique for identifying how a gambling site may go for scamming. Thank you for sharing. But I do see there are new gambling sites are coming with edgeless concepts. They are coming with their own tokens for gambling and not based on bitcoin or any other altcoins. That is the reason, it is possible for them.

I mean to say, having a least house edge cannot be a symptom for scamming all the times. But we need to check their revenue if they are not setting house edge at least for generating their revenue to cope up their running costs. Otherwise it might mean they must luring gamblers with their small house edge for future scam.
1989  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin Sound Money? on: June 05, 2017, 10:47:04 AM
While the technical innovation of bitcoin was incredible I think the thing that makes bitcoin so valuable is something very simple, the limited supply, as time passes more bitcoin is available but less bitcoin is mined, that makes bitcoin even more scarce especially when we take into account, that many coins are probably lost forever.
Yeah the main reason that makes the Bitcoin that much valuable is the limited supply of the bitcoin, if it has a bigger supply than the current supply in the market then it will not be traded on such a high price with the fiat but this feature makes it precious. When the stuff is limited and it have some good qualities then we all know that its demand is high with which the prices also remains high.
1990  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Criminality and Bitcoin on: June 04, 2017, 07:34:49 PM
There are a lot of criminals out there and scamming online in social Medias before we can have bitcoin. There are a lot of criminals out there in this world that they will not choose who will go to be their victims. Even if the person is not rich they will still scam people. So I don't think that you give criminals an option to think that they can use bitcoin. Or should I say how did you say that? Do you know someone that is criminal because of bitcoin?
Yes, I agree with you not only before the bitcoin but even earlier than that if we look at the era when the human beings used to live in the jungle even at that time was the concept criminals and innocent present. From that very time we have noticed that there are people who will do anything for their interest to be fulfilled and will not think for the victims if they are using any crypto or fiat for crime and criminal the medium doesn’t matter at all.
1991  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Cash is better than Bitcoin. on: June 04, 2017, 04:06:59 PM
I think this depends on the user, if cash more then looks bitcoin is better than cash, we should admit the current users of cash is more dominant than the digital money or bitcoin.
Yes I agree that it depends on the user and I would add one more thing which is a very common factor and it is the situation.

It is basically the situation that tends a user whether to use cash for the payment or accept as reward for the goods and services that the person provided. Also the convenience of both the parties for the acceptance of either cash or the BTC is more important. I think currently we have more cash in use than the BTC transactions.
1992  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does experience matter in gambling? on: June 04, 2017, 01:45:11 PM

Yes experience is the best teacher. It can teach me on my past so that I can learn of all that experience for the better for todays coming moments to play gambling again.
Experience can teach me how to be a good player to win the game.It gives wisdom to make my life a successful woman.

yes you are right that experience is like a teacher who teaches all the all the aspects of the thing, and also in gambling experience is very important thing because due to experience you can play very well in gambling and due to experience you can learn from your past errors and will not repeat the same mistake and it will be possible to win in gambling.
Yeah this is true the experience is a teacher we can say it because it comes with the passage of time and time surely is the best teacher, healer and the best guide for you.

Like in any other field where the experience matters and the experienced persons have an edge over the fresh ones same is the case here in the gambling. The experienced person knows how to make a move when it’s time to wrap up the stuff.
1993  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to increase BTC? on: June 03, 2017, 08:31:01 PM
Bitcoin is money, and like anything that has high value earning it is not an easy thing especially if we know bitcoin does not have as many ways of being earned as fiat does, so my advice is to stop thinking it is easy to earn bitcoin, you need to work long and hard.

And with that mindset, it's the fact that earning bitcoin isn't that easy for a person that doesn't have broad knowledge when it comes to bitcoin. But if you are aware of what you are doing and probably you are making decent amount with your source that is going to give you a nice income. You can just trade with alt coins just like what everyone is doing now.

Trading altcoins is the best way to increase your bitcoins in the wallet and most of the people are doing the same at a moment as the altcoin market looks promising and if you invest in a right coin at a right time after doing a good research then you will be making some really good profits in quick time and apart from trading there is no other ways to increase your bitcoins in quick time.

Gambling is not recommended.

Yes it has been the reason why everyone is busy with their own source. And also while you are trading, there are some good ICO projects where you can join and you can make your capital double from it. I have seen a lot of people doubling their capital by joining a lot of ICO's but also beware because there are some scams.
Yeah the ICO project have a great potential to multiply a great increase to your capital amount and this is the main reason why I personally like the investing in the ICO projects and I am proudly saying that I have earned a quite handsome amount for the ICO projects. I am sure that if I had not invested in the ICO projects I may not have enjoyed my life as I am enjoying it today.
1994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If you have now 500$ for invest? Where you invest? on: June 03, 2017, 07:17:50 PM
I will invest in ICO project, many people said ICO is just a shit investment but a couple ICO that I have join give me nice profit, currently i'm wait for MobileGo launch and hope my investment in MobileGo give me nice profit too.
I totally agree with you. The ICO projects are the best for the low budget investors. I am a huge fan of the ICO projects because they have the potential to grow. Other than that I think the XRP is doing well and also the monero is a good currency currently to invest in.

Even $500 is not that huge amount but still I will recommend to split it and invest it in a minimum of 5 different currencies sot that the risk level be low.
1995  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin/Altcoin Portfolio strategies on: June 03, 2017, 06:35:01 PM
When pursuing a buy-and-hold strategy investing in crytocurrencies, what are the best practices for diversifying among them?

Ie.
Own by market cap' weight?
Own 10% of top ten (by market cap')?
Own varying percentages of your top 5 favourite projects?
90% Bitcoin, 10% new ICOs?

The idea is to mitigate some risk (Bitcoin is least volatile), whilst having exposure to alt-coins as 'emerging currencies' with high potential.

Any theories?

I'm leaning to one of weighted by market cap', but I'd like to hear other suggestions.

I'd say it's a weighted combination of all 4, with your own risk tolerance being key in determining percentages. For example, it's going to weigh on you if a favorite or two are not included due to them not being in the top 10. You might also prefer to exclude certain top 10 members for bad fundamentals or technicals, or simple being overvalued. A 10% figure for ICO's and other speculatives sounds reasonable. At the end of the day it's a very personal decision balancing risk tolerance and profit objectives . . . with risk tolerance usually winning out in my case. Wink

Check out this thread for more ideas   https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1936239.0  and good luck.
Yes, it totally depends upon how much risk you are able to take with your investment.
Also it is not necessary that the top ten currencies will give you the desired profit that you are expecting from your investment.

We can make profit from many others but again it come to the risk factor that how much risk are you able to bear. The ICO’s can give you an elegant profit which many top can’t at the time.
1996  Economy / Speculation / Re: YORK's price prediction topic. on: June 01, 2017, 06:31:03 PM
Hey York  Wink

Have you looked at alts today? The huge REKATON has just begun!!!  Grin

Hey man, are you winning just like me  Smiley

Noobs are FOMOing from alts to BTC lol.
I am wondering how many top FOMO XRP is the next 'it' are rekt for ever this time lol.
To much blood there.
I guess those fools will never learn..

Hmm...
The dump in alts was huge indeed.
But it doesn't change the value of altcoins in themselves ^^
And the dump is just an occasion to buy cheap XRP coins. Good value on long run. Why sticking with only one choice?

Btc is king sure but the kingdom is wide Wink
You're never ever trading on altcoins? Only on BTC?
I trade other crypto's than bitcoin also. Bought a lot of ethereum classic at $3 and zcash at $50 as an example. The current price has nothing to do with innovation tho. Just a huge amount of noobs thinking that they missed the bitcoin boat and trying to get rich quick with other small marketcap crypto's. It will not end well, and we all know it. Even bitcoin isnt a sure thing anymore. Everything will be decided on august 1. Not going to buy shit anymore untill more info is avaliable. Sold everything 2 days before the big correction. Just riding the waves rightnow. Dont have any long term holding at the moment.
Well this is not bad with the bitcoin correction we can’t say that the bitcoin is going a wrong way. Not only in the Bitcoin market but the correction is witnessed many times in the stock exchange for the prices to manage and to manage the real demand and supply of the commodity.

So, if someone is getting panic with the Bitcoin correction I guess this is wrong. The Bitcoin correction is a healthy activity and we shall support it.
1997  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much do you tihnk BTC will be worth after this? on: June 01, 2017, 06:09:40 PM
Quote
But what do you guys think the value of BTC will be?

Well the value of bitcoin will depend on where bitcoin ends up. If bitcoin ends up becoming an asset to store for long term, Then we may see 1 BTC = $10K or above in few years down the line, But if the Scaling issue is solved and bitcoin becomes a day to day used currency, The price could end up much higher around 1 BTC = $50K within 20-50 years, Bitcoin may end up replacing many currencies. But that's a big if!
Yes, it depends upon the bitcoin role for the community it may go above 10K in a time span of the next five to six years.

As we all know that the bitcoin price is dependent on the demand of the Bitcoin and with this demand the price of the Bitcoin is determined, now if more countries accept it the like Japan then surely it will have a huge difference in the current price and after three or four years.
1998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why we still gambling while we always lose? on: June 01, 2017, 05:52:01 PM
No one likes to lose that's why many gamblers keep on betting.
People addicted to gambling frequently report that, despite losses stacking up, the buzz keeps bringing them back to the card table, slot machine or any dice games.
“If people lose a bunch and that lowers their expectations, that will increase how happy they are when they finally do win,” says Rutledge.
I agree to that. It is losing which keep on bringing people back to gambling. Nobody likes loss. So for compensating the loss people play more so that one bet can win them whatever they lost. This leads to addiction
Gambling lets you win free and easy money. Human by nature wants more and more money. along with that gambling is a lot fun too.
I think not, I keep losing but that's not the reason why I still gamble, I do it because I'm having fun in gambling and it's one of my recreational activities in life. Honestly, my hands wants to keep pressing some bets on a daily basis and my day is not complete if I cannot bet on games in sports.
some people will have their own reason to back in gambling site at least it is not made bad thing to their life i think it is ok, because i play gambling sometime only to get some fun too
Yes there are different reasons for people to come back to the gambling sites even if they lose. I don’t consider it a major defect if you lose and you strike again. The gambling sites are here for us to surf it. I am not interested in the win and loss of the money I enjoy winning the games and surely makes me sad when I lose a game not only for the sake of money but I become sad for my skills when it don’t work.
1999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is gambling so addicting? on: June 01, 2017, 05:25:20 PM
Because they want to win that's why they addicted to gambling, gambling is anywhere. Gambling is not easy you have to risk your money. Sometimes they just say it for fun and past times. It is the most popular people pastimes today and most of the adult especially enjoy. The one reason why people addicted to gamblers becoming addicted is they experience the win.

It not just that, it is also because they want to have money in an easy way, and they though that if they are going to try gambling, they could easily double their money, but it is the opposite---mostly. Most of the time that we tried gambling, we suffered too many loses than winning, and why is that? SIMPLE, it is because of their house edge, with this thing, a certain gambling site could earn a lot of money in just a day, especially if their site is reputable and do have a big name in the crypto world.
Well I find the reason of it is the greed in the beginning and then at the end it is the hope to just to collect your own money from it and will leave the gambling in the future if you once collect or earn your own money that you have lost.

The pleasure in the beginning then slowly and gradually becomes the addiction and while you realize it, it is then too late that you can give up.
2000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can gambling help you with your life? on: June 01, 2017, 04:41:08 PM
Gambling can give you good profit over your deposit if you know how to gamble and when to turn off computer. Wink

When we start gambling we used to think like that only but after making some profit we used to think in a different way. Why can't we spend more time in gambling when can make double the amount now we are making but we have to understand that is a big mistake we are doing.
Yeah it is good for those who are lucky enough to make money from the gambling these people can stick to it if they think they can make much better but if someone is not doing well in it and is losing constantly then it is good to quit or to concentrate to some other things which could be better for them and enjoy gambling in the free time to just relax and have some good quality time.
