1621  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin/Altcoins trading on: October 03, 2017, 07:48:36 AM
Bitcoin examines the people emotionally who put their endeared currency into market.
A trader feels terrible when the market status goes against you but a happiness occures when your investment rises up.
In both situations,a trader needs to be patient with these ups and downs because volatility is the main aspect of cruptocurrency.
Yes. Patience is a great attribute for anyone to have in this part of the technology community. The huge volatility most times always end up making people scared most especially at dips, but with patience, a period will come when you will know that no matter the huge dip, it cannot get below what you have bought in the past.

Gradually with patience, the confidence starts building until you realise you are now the one prep talking newbies.
1622  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the Best Trading Strategy You Use for Cryptocurrency? on: October 03, 2017, 07:17:22 AM
I feel very bored if doing trading using indicators. Because indicators only read candlesticks that have occurred. I prefer naked trading by determining own wave point and trading longterm is my strategy. Maybe this isn't the best strategy but for me this is a strategy to makes me feel safe and comfortable in trading.
It totally depends on each individual but if you have good cash to trade with, long term can actually be very profitable even though they might take a little bit of time. Once you are lucky to buy from a good position, you can just set a sell order at a good point of profit for you which is also realistic and just go to sleep and check once in a while if you have hit it.
1623  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do I hold? on: October 03, 2017, 06:19:26 AM
Sometimes I will sell and buy back in lower price, but look at current situation I will wait untill end of this month or more, still trading when loss just make my situation worst.
Yeah, trade at now very bad, we not know when is lowest price can buy or when we sell this coin, it will recovery and reverse Angry

Trading has always and Will always be dynamic. I will advise that you always study the market both in good and poor times. The trends always have an information for those willing to study it.
Always stick to discipline also, especially in an unstable market.
Just like the trend right now when so many promising coins that have the chance of bouncing back soon are having a bearish trend is even the best time to buy and hold. Within the next few weeks, those who have some of these coins will most definitely experience a huge percentage increase in what they have.
1624  Economy / Economics / Re: If you have a lot of bitcoin, should you spend it or save it? on: October 02, 2017, 12:56:21 PM
Let's say I have 2.1 BTC And I don't spend it. Will it go up a few cents if I save it? Cause in my wallet I have up to about 50 cents worth of bitcoin. I started up with 13 cents 7 months ago. Now all of sudden I have bitcoins worth 50 cents. What do you call this? I only made that one 13 cent deposit. Nothing else!
If I have a lot of bitcoin in my wallet I would save it and take some money for my expenses,
I will only cash out the amount of money needed for the time being .
Unless you have a normal job and you are saving part of it once in a while, and spending the rest on some other things needed for your daily stuffs, I see no reason why someone who own a certain amount of bitcoin should not look for ways they can invest it in some legit ways so as to have more for themselves. The proceeds from this can help some few things, while you can still save part of it to increase your asset.
1625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What did you buy for money won? on: October 02, 2017, 08:25:49 AM
Hi guys!
It's often discussed here that you can't make any money from gambling, but in general it's just not true. House edge is usually quite low so the most of the money go back to players. Of course some one wins more than he bet, some one wins less and loses in the end. It's all about luck. I am sure that the most of you was lucky at least once and made some nice money. So my question goes here: How did you spend this money? Did you buy some presents for your close ones? Did you buy something for you? Did you invested it, saved it or even put back into gambling (and then made even more or lost it?)?
Share your stories Smiley)
Cheers,
OshiHugo

Whenever I win, I treat my self and buy something that would make me happy. I use my winnings similar with the money I earn from my hard work. I think your winnings and all of your  earnings aren't different. So, I don't have any specific things that I buy with my winning from gambling.
I do have the same feeling about usage of money that has been won via gambling.
I have actually no specific plans to fulfill or invest money into some really serious business. I usually opt for having fun and spending it on pity things just as throwing a Saturday part or something casual enough to make me happy.
1626  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you set up limits for yourself? on: October 02, 2017, 07:04:43 AM

Of course, I, like other normal people who are able to control their spending, have a certain limit in gambling. More than 100 dollars a month I do not spend on gambling.

That is a good limit, especially if you are not rich.

For me, I just limit my self to less than 100 dollars too every month to gamble with. For the last 2 weeks I haven't played but I may try again next time.
We must set boundaries in our all actions regardless of financial status but special care should be taken when a person is stepping in the world of gambling. This game is totally different from other matters of life and is the most risky activity in regard of money. All those people who have even a little brain, will definitely place limited bets keeping themselves safe from all financial troubles.
This is a fact that there should be some limits for a gambler before he decides to bet his money for the sake of playing dice games or thinking about hitting a jackpot. In my opinion, if we use only a safe amount for this purpose, then even a loss could never make you feel disappointed over it as you can feel the enjoyment you have had during playing and forget the bad things happened with you in a real slight manner.
1627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do you even gamble? on: October 01, 2017, 04:22:26 PM
I play gambling when I'm bored and I want to have some fun, but I'm independent of this and I can stop at any time so as not to lose all means. Although sometimes I hope for a big win Roll Eyes

It is just a hard problem also when you have won a bigger amount. It will be another gamble all over again.
You will not stop until you double that profit of what you have already won.
If it loses again you will be using the deposited money until you lose.
Happened to me always. I would rather win small where I can stop than win big to just gamble again.
Greed is the most infuencing factor that keeps gambler in the game for long and every winning pumps up this emotion. Like you said, the gambler will keep on coming back in search of more profits and this is the worst mistake in their lives. They end up losing all their wealth and few borrow money also. Gmablers must have a good control over their emotions and temptation.
1628  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Day Trading on: October 01, 2017, 05:21:53 AM
While you're at it you can also check some sites that offers test money for you to try out day trading before you invest real money in there. You can gauge how the market reacts and how fast a change cab occur in real-time markets without risking anything yet. This is the best thing you can do before you really dip your hands into trading.

Edit: I forgot to include what simulator am I talking about but I use Investopedia's trading simulator. Not great and all but it will help you gain some knowledge in actual trades.
There are so many of this for the normal forex trading for practice purpose. I have not really seen one for crypto market anyway. However, it is better as it can give an idea about trading and give someone more confidence when trying out the real one. Still, a lot of people always make mistake of trading demo with a huge amount they themselves do not have so I will advise those who want to try this to use the exact amount they intend to start with so as to face the main reality trading comes with.
1629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long did you wait before do you sell your ICO Coins ? on: September 28, 2017, 04:27:50 PM
Yes thats what i want to know.
What i see sometimes its good to sell when it comes to exchange because the price go up.
After that the price go mostly down for months.

On the other side there is a way to wait 1-2 years and hope the project not die lol and it goes moon

so how do YOU handle ICO ?
It depends on the coin in question. But most times I usually hold and wait for that moment it gets extremely pumped and then I watch the trend before I sell. Once it gets dumped, I buy again, take my profit, keep it in a safe place for future, while I use the rest to repeat that cycle all over again.
Like you said, it depends as I have held a coin for months and you will really need to keep watch on the trend of the coin so you don't miss out.
1630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment Advise to Newbie's on: September 28, 2017, 03:44:44 PM
My only advice: Don't stick too long with one coin.

If it reach your take profit line, be happy and sell it.

I have seen many cool projects that I hope I can buy and hold them forever like SC, STRAT, BTS, NEO... but no. I end up selling them after a massive dump.
As much as I want to buy into that, I am not sure I can. If you believe a coin have prospect, I see no reason why you should not hold on to them for as long as you can. Moreover, what made you consider those coins you just mentioned as cool project is because you have seen so much development, most especially with the increase in value rate in a short period.

However, this does not mean there are some other coins with prospects and as long as you can do your research and buy at a very good price, holding should not be a problem.
1631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero future? on: September 28, 2017, 02:45:06 PM
Im currently doing around 400€~ per month from monero mining which is perfectly fine for me, but how does it look in the future? I know its hard to predict it, but is there any way to get an estimate amount i would earn in 1 year with the same hashrate? 50% less or even more?
The truth like you already said is no one can know. I believe monero is still undervalued and I sure believe it will not remain at the same value for months or years.

It has a good future, it has good team and it sure do have some good supports. If all that keeps going for the coin, I certainly believe the future should also be bright for it same as other prospectful coins. however can you shed a little light on your mining capacity that generate such amount for you in a month ?
1632  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Better investement right now, bitcoins or Altcoins. on: September 27, 2017, 02:57:05 PM
These last few days, i am more active to have altcoin than btc. Because, i think altcoin conditions are currently quite cheap. So, if price has increased slightly, I've achieved a pretty good profit.
Who said you cannot use the same amount to purchase bitcoin too? Do you need to have 10BTC before you have bitcoins? Whatever you have now either bitcoin or altcoin will most definitely rise in value. However, bitcoin right now is still less risky to purchase to me as far as I am concerned than just any altcoin because of their low prices.

Altcoins are more like gambling except for the few ones with very good market cap anyway and most times, the few altcoins I have ETH, LTC, DASH most times always follow the same trend with bitcoin whenever there is a reduction or increase in the market.
1633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does experience matter in gambling? on: September 27, 2017, 12:40:31 PM
In gambling, i play poker game. The experience is very matter on what i will do. Because poker requires analysis and memory. Poker gambling carelessly is tantamount to giving away money for free.
I think poker is a game that is more dependent on skill than luck. Luck on poker usually comes at a precarious time, but overall game skill is more needed than luck. So experience can work on poker because we must be able to analyze based on the situation and experience we have ever got.

In poker where we need luck means when the cards will issue that time. If we are experiencing in a poker game but we get bad cards, and the opponent is strong we can't do anything that time. So to win any game in gambling, we need luck otherwise we will not win a single game. Poker is skill base game I agree but this also based on luck.
Gambling has nothing to do with the experience of the gambler. If you are playing the poker or the dice game but you are unlucky on a particular day, then you would definitely end up losing the bet amount. Gambling is totally based on the luck of the gambler and the worst conditions may arise even after being into this for a very long time if you are facing hardships of time.
1634  Economy / Economics / Re: If you were in desperate need for money.... on: September 27, 2017, 07:13:37 AM
When I really need money of course I will sell everything I have even with low price or loss. this is because selling when panic position then there is no long consideration.

Just like me, when it comes to this type of times I really don't care about the price of what I'm selling. It's not panicking but it's because we are desperately in need of money. And that's why we are being pushed by our own problems to sell everything that we have. Though it's hard to accept and to do this thing we are just doing this just for resolving that desperation that we are going through.
It is indeed far better to sell off your own coins and assets when you are in some financial crisis than begging others o help you or give you loans.
It is never ever wise to be in debts, try to use your own savings and money when you are facing some severe financial problems. No need to become beggar rather be sagacious and keep saving s soon as possible.
1635  Economy / Economics / Re: Why Bitcoin has power nowadays ? on: September 27, 2017, 06:06:32 AM
Bitcoin has become a new power in the world of money as we all know that all sides deal with it so it has to survive until it become the powerful source of life . So what it is difference between bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies? and why Bitcoin has become powerful among other currencies and cryptocurrencies  ?

Firstly ,let us define bitcoin by defining cryptocurrency briefly then pass to make a contrasts between Bitcoin ,Dogecoin and litecoin .
We hear always that bitcoin is the money of the future .this expectation can be taken seriousely when we see bitcoin nowadays and how much transactions executed per day which is surprising . we can say that bitcoin is a cryptocurrency and cryptocurrency is a money which is not traditional rather it is digital or numerical which works electronically ; the most common cryptocurrencies are Bitcoin , Dogecoin and litecoin and bitcoin has something special in contrast to others and this specialty is represented by the number of transcations made per day and its volume, so bitcoin and litecoin and dogecoin differ in their volumes which will interpret to us that bitcoin has power nowadays.

In fact bitcoin is increasing exponentially in volume and numbers of transactions which will get us to the hell of thinking that bitcoin may take the lead of other cryptocurrencies if we don't say that it will take the lead of traditional currencies.because it has power which can fortify its presence in today world.

We all know that we are now in the digital world and everything is exposed to technology and internet so that an access to bitcoin is very easy. What I really want in bitcoin was its untable value, it can pump and dump. Maybe it is one of million reasons why bitcoin is still on the line nowadays.
These are the few reasons why people are highly attracted towards bitcoins. The unstable prices are making bitcoins fascination for the world of technology. All those who are involved in one way or other in digital world are very much impressed by this new creation termed as bitcoins. Bitcoins are obviously famous now a day because they are fulfilling the financial desires of the people.
1636  Other / Archival / Re: Do you think that you're addicted to gambling? on: September 27, 2017, 04:54:51 AM
No i used to be addicted to gambling all the money i had decided to use for trading i thought to gamble with it first and then withdraw i didn't control myself and even after i got a profit i ended up with a loss after that i decided to stop gambling forever since then i am no more addicted to gambling and hope it will continue like this
but to me i think i am really addicted to gambling, in fact i always found it difficult to quit gambling, as i have tried for so many time but for every time i remain as unsuccessful and start playing gambling again after some time. i think once people become addicted to gambling then it become difficult for them to quit it for ever.
Quiting an addiction is always difficult but you are the one that must remain in control, if you want to stop gambling then you need to stop putting yourself in positions where gambling is expected from you and if you used to gamble online then you need to avoid those websites, block them with a filter and forget about them.
This is something to get worried about if you are becoming addicted to gambling .this is because most of the time you end up losing all your profits and then if you even don’t realize the losses and keep on playing again and again hoping to win back everything, this is really a pitiful situation. One could give up on gambling if he has a complete control over his or her nerves and can realize that he is at loss.
1637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Betting on cryptocurrencies prices on: September 26, 2017, 07:29:04 PM
Hello,

I'm looking for the bitcoin/litecoin binary options betting website. On this kind of websites you can bet what the price of for example bitcoin will be in 3 or 5 minutes. Can you recommend any?

Thanks!

You could try those two:

BTCBET.CC – Bitcoin price BETTING every 5 minute - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2129512.0

gogooption.com-Bitcoin Binary option & Dice Site up to1000% reward houseEdge-1%   -    https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1906847.0

There was a popular site called secondtrade or something like that but it's gone.
Hey thanks for the links I was also looking for similar sites.
I remember playing at seconds trade and it was a decent site but never got too popular because of their limited abilities and optimum site design. I would love to see a site where we can make account and play. For the moment I like playing bustabit sort of games.
1638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: lucky ! does it influences by a woman beside of us? on: September 26, 2017, 04:10:01 PM
Its only a few times I saw a player/gambler whose asked their GF (girl friend) to have a chair beside of them to watch how they play especially when it's in dice gambling or card gambling
Both these player whose brought their GF or woman beside of them really get their lucky
By these think
I start to wonder
Is it true that they got their lucky from a woman beside of them Huh
Apologize if I asking about something like secret think which view player use in play

There is no such thing as luck ---> it's not real!  And, having a girlfriend, or any other distraction, nearby you while you are trying to calculate probabilities, evaluate equities, and determine bet sizes will only jeopardize your bankroll.  Gambling is based on probabilities, expected values, and good decision making skills ---> not luck.  Take the girlfriend someplace else if you want to get lucky, like a spa ---> not a casino!
You have some correct points there like having your wife near you would only result in emotional decisions and miscalculations. But actually gambling is all about luck because if winning was possible from gambling then gambling sites would have been closed quite a long back ago.

I mean a experienced gambler can just make wise decisions but if he will win them or not is not something even anyone can decide.
1639  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When do YOU sell? on: September 26, 2017, 01:07:12 PM
I haven't sold my bitcoins yet as its an long term investment for me but I do trade with different altcoins and I sell them when I am in a good position and have decent profits from it as I don't believe in holding altcoins longer as it can be very risky and may bring loss for me.
Good way for long term trading once you know you at least don't need it instantly as that can definitely hold down your coin. That was the reason I mentioned once that everyone knows what works best for them so it is best to stick to that, practice it well to make good decisions. However, it is best for you to follow the news at times instead of just buying in dips thinking everything is alright. Some coins can experience huge dips when they want to be delisted from the exchange and that my brother, can be a huge loss for you.
1640  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Insurance or cryptocurrency investment? on: September 26, 2017, 12:30:21 PM
Hi, I'm planning to pull my insurance to invest in crypto for long period of time and trade a portion as well. Recently, I was wondering if I let my money sleep in my insurance for 10 years it will triple but I'm also thinking that what if at that time the value of my money is still the same as today because of inflation.
You do not have to pull all out at once. What you are doing too is good and it is purely a lower risk investment. However, you can pull some of it out if possible, may be a certain percentage of it and invest it into bitcoin. It is totally worth the risk and you wouldn't want to blame yourself in the next few years why you didn't make that decision.

But know that every investment comes with its own risk and so does bitcoin but at this stage, I feel the risk rates are at least dropping gradually.
