201  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Mass media manipulation - Rating system as way out to freedom ? on: October 18, 2021, 09:54:12 PM
Education would be the long term answer - critical thinking etc - but that's very boring and can't be solved by a tech startup. Stupid people are easier to mold into preferred shapes so I would assume that less education is going to be the trend going forward.

Who would want that?

Bitcoin is winding up stored energy to catapult through the ATH.. Gotta let them buy books stack up and let liquidity stack up on the buy side..
Get those liquidity maker bots comfy with the current price so they will chase it up and through the resistance..

Ofcourse their will be resistance breaking an ATH, especially such recent ones..
Their is even resistance to breaking small local highs..

See the bottoms getting higher? <good sign
Stay calm

You’ll probably wake up one day soon to $70k..
When it breaks $65k it’s going to immediately go to $66k-$67k Atleast in like 3 minutes..

Oh gawd... you are amazing.. if you do not say so ur lil selfie.   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I know u guys love bitcoin. But it's flawed. U can't love math, it's just math. It's like loving a rock. Or those rock NFT jpgs. Smiley

Might we label it as ironic that you have been participating in this thread for so long, but you seem to have learned absolutely nothing... you don't even seem to understand bitcoin basics beyond recognizing that somehow maths are involved... go figure?

So in essence, you are amazing in your own right, as I already mentioned to be spewing out the same kinds of uninformed baloney-pieces that you were spewing out a few years ago... the only difference is that you failed/refused to strategically place CAPITALS and all bold in inopportune locations to emphasize the most unimportant pieces of your largely incoherent nonsense.

Hey, hold on a minute Jay,  AWOL wo bro Yogi Jbreher never strategically "placed CAPITALS and bolded locations" (Well he might have occasionally, but whatever...) and your lil selfie didn't bitch at him for not doing that.
I will acknowledge, however, you surely bitched about various other objectionable big block thingenings he indulged in and discussed on this here thread. Perhaps... perhaps??

This response is to Save the RF.. not jbreher.. so I am not sure about what connection that you are making.

I may seem bitter or wtf u say there, but I don't rly care much about anything. I eat cookies, chocolate, drink coffee and play video games all day long. (Keto cookies & chocolate and all organic ofc... Tongue  ... maybe I'l share my youtube channel with you guys one day... teach you 'poor folk' some cooking skills Shocked )  Cheesy  Cheesy
I believe that I saw one of your cookbooks.

Gotta love those little flash crashes.

Especially if you have PTSD after 8 years of Bitcoin holding Cheesy

The last 8 years have been pretty damned good.. I must admit.. even if there were some stressful periods in there too.. but if you had been erroring in on the side of HODLing, as you say, UnDerDoG81.. cannot really complain about the last 8 years.

Just think .. a mere $10 per week of buying for the past 8 years would have gotten  you nearly 5 bitcoin and nearly $300k in value.. just gotta be erroring on the side of HODLing or accumulating, as you say UnDerDoG81.

Would you consider that $10 a week investment a decent success?
Or did he still fail?
204  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 18, 2021, 03:14:29 AM
Weekly candle closed well over $60k just now right?

Face melt time?
205  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 18, 2021, 02:55:37 AM
Ok..

So it seems that those who are bitcoiners are widely of the subset that also like numbers..
Quite interesting..

For me, I have always loved watching exchange order books changin..
Never really traded off the charts, always traded off the books..

People always thought i was nuts just staring at pages of numbers all the time..
Recognizing patterns..

We may be discovering something about "what makes a bitcoiner" here..

Observing nice price also..
206  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 18, 2021, 01:02:28 AM
what time does this weekly candle close?

Yall say closing above $60k would be a big deal, not that i really think that, but it looks like its about to..

Does it close on sunday?
207  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 18, 2021, 12:34:51 AM
Common core math..

I think it’s rediculous how they try to teach solving math like that in the first place, but when I look at common core teachings it is like the processes I use to do math in my head..

132X50?

(132/2)100=66x100=6600 <in my head

Does that make sense?

208  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 17, 2021, 10:42:42 PM
Do we get an eddie13 girlfriend photo at the ATH?

Sadly, she is over 1,300 miles away from me right now, but I might be able to make something happen Smiley

Go buy a blow farm and a hooker farm.  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes

Now we're talking!

I once knew a guy that started his own brothel.. He became pretty successful..

He was such a hard working go getter, he ran the place by hand until he could get enough employees..

Y'all know how meta has this thread  Wall of fame / shame. Shit posts so bad that they are actually funny https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4564216.0

I suggest someone make a similar thread to save these WO posts and see how well they stand the test of time..

You see some prediction that you think is either insane or very likely? Quote it into that thread for safe keeping..

Call it "WO prophesies thread" or something..

A little game, I’m very curious someone remembers this as well and knows who I’m talking about, my post can be a bit wrong but in bigger lines this is what he was saying kind of.

A remember a post …… written a looong time ago by a member of the WO-thread, a frequent poster, one I not always could say rather he’s a long term believer bull or not….

I do remember the post where he said somewhere half way last bearmarket

This time in a year from now, a lot of WO members will not be active in here anymore or with BTC etc (probably cause he thought we where going way lower as we did and stay there for a long period etc)

I think he suggested a future where BTC was at higher prices like now, but 10-15 years from that post or something…

Here will be my first addition to this thread..
Bitcoin has a limited shelf life, and you don't seem to get that. I advise you to not put your faith too much on it after 2030. That's like the D day for BTCitcoin. (maybe even earlier)
Quote that into there..

And here is a quote from me to add..

"Within another 2,000 years from now, the standard dating system will have been changed from BC/AD, in commemoration of Jesus Christ, rather to BG/AG, before the Bitcoin genesis bolck/after the Genesis block..

We call it 2021AD now, but in the future this year will be called 11AG..

Bitcoin is FOREVER"

Man.... I keep trying to point to y'all that you are trapped in a f^cking religion.... snap out of it. Smiley

Go build f^cking spaceships with u'r money <<< that's the goal... or sorta... Go buy a blow farm and a hooker farm.  Roll Eyes  Roll Eyes

The important part for my strategy for ME has always been about cashing out back into BTC and always having the goal of making more BTC..

According to me trading here and there, and investing here and there is smart, as long as you goal is making more BTC..

If your trading alts to try to make more $$ then whatever..
If your trading BTC to try to make more $$, then I don’t much like your style..

Most of the people in this thread seem to be all about using BTC to get more $$$.. That is also the wrong ambition imo..

I want BTC to wreck traditional fiat finance above all.. I have a burning hate inside me for the cattle herding banksters..
Secondly I want BTC to increase in value so when it’s time I can just start living off of BTC..

I think it will be easier for me to currency exchange BTC to whatever local currency I need in the future in whatever country I visit, pass through, or stay in, than it would be for me to currency exchange usd to whatever is there I may need..

The grand hope is to not have to currency exchange BTC at all, but for acceptance to grow enough for me to just spend BTC for whatever I need wherever I am not ever changing it for any filthy fiat..

Hope..
HODL..

Best case scenario is to put central banks out of business..
Unfortunately that likely would mean the downfall of the USA.. <as if it isn’t basically sodom/Gomorrah anyway..
212  Other / Meta / Re: [BCT FACT] Bitcointalk was originally on Bitcoin.org but ... drama on: October 17, 2021, 08:33:32 PM
Found this thread from another one but I think it's a good place to ask this question.
There were times when different "Satoshi Nakamoto" claimers were investigated and arrested, one happened in Germany, another one in Australia and the story goes on. Since it's obvious that satoshi created the forum, was posting here, gave access on forum to other members, etc, because of these reasons, was there ever an attempt of investigation on Theymos, Cyrus and other old and famous bitcointalk members?

Arrested?
Please do elaborate..

Full disclosure: Took profits @ $61k. Putting it into a joint account for Rick and myself to buy toys and equipment for the ranch, as things start coming online, soon. Feel bad that all the corn I'm selling is going directly into my accounts (feel bad about needing to give Rick my financial login info to reconcile everything for this project...), and putting this batch into the joint account for ranch needs takes a fucktonne of stress off the both of us. Really don't want to draw down on our existing fiat investments to support the ranch. Will consider drawing down on those as needed, after the ranch is built and we're living out there full-time - 10 years ish.

Next sell target set for $75k, then $100k, then we sit back and re-evaluate our lives.

Gotta buy ourselves one of those jacked up monster pickup trucks that are capable of traversing the entire ranch to start... then a tractor... Oh God... it starts...

10 years?

My family developed our property ourselves from clearing land to a new house, barn, and all.. little by little as we could afford it, doing almost everything ourselves..
From straight roughing it camping in tents the first summer and buying an old cheap house trailer, living in that for 2 years before we even got electricity (seriously) and finally over time built a nice house and tore the old trailer out..
Been there done that..

I think you can get it done much faster than 10 years if you have the funds, and I would suggest sooner rather than later, so you have more time to enjoy your life there..

You don’t need expensive contractors.. What you need are some good old countryboys!

How are the prospects of getting electricity out there?
We are talking about the lake property correct?

Full disclosure: Took profits @ $61k.

I also pulled the trigger, but instead of selling, I took out a loan using bitcoin as the collateral. I think this is my path going forward.

How did you do it without giving up your keys?

I think you basically don’t..
I think their are some options to do it multisig, but you still loose full control of your coins..

found today while shopping Grin ... unfortunately the atm was offline Tongue

I see Bitcoin ATMs EVERYWHERE but they have like $10,000 spreads on them!!
Damn near a scam!

Check the spreads on them, its insane..

Last one I checked a while ago, the price was about $40k..
Buy @ $45k, sell @ $35k..

GTFO..

Id love to use one just for the sake of it, but not with spreads like that..
Insane..

Hey DOGE bros and shibes..

Some cool new stuff yall might want to pay attention to...

[ANN] Dogeparty Reboot, Counterparty for the Dogecoin blockchain! (official)

https://dogeparty.net/dogeparty-platform-announcement

Today we are proud to announce the rebooting of the Dogeparty platform! Dogeparty is a smart contract built on top of the Dogecoin (DOGE) network for minting tokens and NFTs.  It was initially launched in August/September 2014.

What is Dogeparty?
In January 2014, the Counterparty smart contract (counterparty.io) was released which allowed anyone to mint tokens on Bitcoin (BTC).  However, as the months went by, Counterparty users became increasingly concerned that the fees on Bitcoin (~ $1 to $2 at the time) would make token applications unworkable.  As a result of this bitcoin fee crisis, the Counterparty smart contract was forked and deployed on the Dogecoin blockchain in August 2014 and renamed to Dogeparty.  After almost 2 years, and with the crypto bear market in full swing, Dogeparty was slowly abandoned and nodes began shutting down, due to lack of funds to support and maintain the platform, until the last Dogeparty transaction was sent December 2016.

Now in 2021, the year of the NFT, several seasoned Counterparty developers have resurrected Dogeparty and upgraded the smart contract to use the latest version of Counterparty federated node software rewired for Doge compatibility.  Dogeparty allows the Dogecoin community to tap into memetic potential of NFTs minted directly on Dogecoin.

This current version of Dogeparty will also implement a Proof of Bern (as opposed to a Proof of Burn) to create additional supply of XDP, the native token of Dogeparty.  Unlike a proof of burn, berned funds are not destroyed but sent to a community fund to resurrect Dogeparty and help ensure its future survival.

The Dogeparty Bern Period will begin on October 1st, 2021 (block #3,919,346) and run for approximately 60 days, concluding on December 1st, 2021 (block #4,007,186). During the bern period, users will be able to bern DOGE at a ratio of 10:1, where berning 10 DOGE will get you at least 1 XDP token. There is also a 50% bern bonus which will be awarded to people who bern earlier. This bonus gets a little bit lower with each block that passes, by the end of the bern the bern ratio will be exactly 10:1 XDP.

where to buy Dogeparty?

You can't buy it anymore as all the servers went down. The dev sold a lot of tokens (with the help of Adam Levine from Let's Talk Bitcoin), ran the server for about a year, and everything was cherry -- it was an awesome concept. And then one day, poof, gone. No real explanation or anything.

I'm lucky I saved my private keys for the Dogecoin addresses I used to make Dogeparty tokens. Unfortunately I sold the doge in there several years ago, though.

It has been resurrected and J-Dog has 3 years salary funded to dev/maintain it and counterparty now..
He is full time counterparty/dogeparty dev now..

You have ancient Dogeparty assets?
Those could be worth a LOT..
