501  Economy / Reputation / Re: Untrusted feedback on bitcointalk.org? on: February 21, 2021, 09:01:46 PM
Isoneguy is who fucked up there.. Then went batshit crazy..
I remember this topic..

Pretty good summary..
OK seems I have lost a track a bit. ( so far I was thinking ognasty already told you he sent the refund back but to uknown address )

Lets sum it.
- isoneguy sent BTC to ognasty ( from coinbase ).
- trade failed so isoneguy requested to return BTCs
- but isoneguy did not wanted to be refunded to sending address (coinbase)
- ognasty haven't send any refund yet as he has not received any signed message from sending address (which is impossible if it was coinbase)

My impresion is ognasty just strictly following his rule nr. 2 which I appreciate.

...
2. I will not refund a Bitcoin address that is not the sending address without a signed message from the sending address.
...

That means the mistake definitely happened on isoneguy side as he used third party walllet provider (without access to private key) not being aware of escow rules (again isoneguys mistake)
Thus you can't blaim ognasty for strictly following his own  (public known) rules. If you did't read it it's your fault.

OP may have as firm a grasp of escrow as he does subforums..

I miss Spoetnik.. Sad

. I will remove the neutral in a week
How generous of you..

hard to stop people from getting scammed if a scammer already has a flag and negative feedback.
All these flags and tags don’t STOP scams after all??
False sense of security is false?

Maybe flags and tags are good for punishment and not much good for prevention..

I’m having a bit of a mental struggle..

How much should I be kicking myself in the ass for not accumulating more, VS how thankful am I for having accumulated what I have and for the most part held..

Thankful or regretful?

When the crypto world changed around 2017 I got lazy and stopped accumulating..
Since then, my methods of accumulation have become almost impossible..

I’m almost afraid to go back to it..
Do I still have it in me? Can I even do it legally? All that paperwork and accounting they require now?
I SHOULD but I just can’t bring myself to it..
Shit, I can barely bring myself to even move coin anymore..
504  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 21, 2021, 07:55:21 PM
This is not yet another cycle, this is the End of Cycles

The one where after BTC flippens gold it doesn't flip back

The one where web3 supercedes web2

Where culture is collected and accrued digitally instead of physically

Where life is lived mindfully rather than mindlessly

https://twitter.com/zhusu/status/1363035740507017216

--------

At first it sounded bearish to me, until I unerstood what is meant. Since its creation Bitcoin went through several severe bear periods between the halvings. But what if the mass adoption has increased so much  that no such bear periods of 80%+ crashes from tha last ATH are possible? We see the first sign for that - unlike any other period of 12 months, there was only one 30% correction and two 20% corrections. What if this is a sign that such long periods of lack of interest from the big investors  are no longer possible? The implications on any sell strategy involving considerations of the previous cycles will be hugely negative. I mean if someone is selling with the hope of buying 80% cheaper, this may turn to be a total disaster with some 30-40% dips occurring here and there. Not only that, but this will make any unnecessary major sell from our stash to be a big mistake. This tweet predicts more than a supercycle, rather an infitite bull market. Well, this may look unrealistic now, but certainly the probability for that is not 0 as some may think based on previous experience. And sometimes the past experience may be misleading.

I don't buy it, but hey whatever... there is a chance for anything to happen..

My overall thinkenings continue to be that bitcoin no doesn't work like dat... and I am not even trying to be stubbornly caught up in the already existing models, but there still seems to be more evidence to the currently credible three existing models rather than proposing some new model that may or may not end up playing out.

Something is different now..

All these real money players getting into BTC..
Their might not be such a crash after this cycle as their have been before..
That may lead to the next cycle not having to come up from such a bottom..

Might be the end of “cycles” as we know them..
505  Economy / Reputation / Re: Abuse of green trust on: February 21, 2021, 04:47:11 AM
Atleast their was a trade of some sort, risk or not..
Positive feedback for a positive exchange experience..

Meanwhile their are a thousand DT green trusts sent for “busts alt accounts”, “fights scams”, etc..

Now I wanna be a shit poster. Then sell some AME token and get green trust. Wow Shocked

Keep doing exactly what you did here OP and you’ll have a Butt load of DT green trust in no time without making a single trade at all..
 Roll Eyes

already get 2 red trust
Reds came after..

The Silk Road was the purpose of Bitcoin..

What is it these days?
Alphabay? But I haven’t explored in a long time..

I’m all for free markets..

This run feels different .this run is fucking serious

Lot of big corps getting in..
Crazy indeed..

I expected 300k not even considering the Corp interest..
700k???

@StudoesAmerica
Remember the 2017 bitcoin bubble?

https://twitter.com/studoesamerica/status/1362483434678067200?s=21

Actually I remember very clearly the 2014 one.  My family and I were camping on a crystal clear lake for Thanksgiving (a holiday in the country that I grew up in before it was destroyed) and my poor fam had to listen to me going on about how this would not be the end of what bitcoin did... for the whole time.  Of course bitcoin died shortly thereafter.

I first found out about crypto and got in like right above the 1 in 2014..
Saw the crash to under $200 live, and survived that great bear market thereafter..
Always believed soon after learning..
509  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 19, 2021, 12:51:39 AM
By the way.. in the above chart, see the lil blip above the 2014?  That was the late 2013 bubble.

Oh my God, wasn't that when it went from $67 or so to $1000? It seems so small now...

Also: Were those Cassicus coins ever hacked or anything? They seemed neat, but I always wondered if a second copy of the keys weren't kept somewhere....

He never came out and spent any of the coins.

It was found later that you could peel the sticker off with a bit of heat while keeping everything intact. That allowed you to see the private key and put the sticker back on.

So they're good for a keepsake but not good for transferring to someone else with the idea that you're the only one with the key.

And the government eventually cracked down him selling them so he could only sell the empty coins which you had to transfer your BTC onto them later.

It was one of many early innovations that was tried because we were all excited about making Bitcoin work. Back in the early days of bitcointalk there was so much activity around making Bitcoin awesome. Now it's just shilling. If you do a search for any useful information the search result is filled with 2011, 2012 posts.

There were certainly detractors but those were mainly based on the underlying economic principles of Bitcoin. Keynesians not liking deflationary currencies. They thought a currency should purposefully lose value over time. As a feature.

I don’t think it’s quite that easy to peel a cas without damaging the holo..
Show me this evidence..
Their are still huge cas coins out there unmoved..

I have one, and it’s unmoved..
I quite trust it..

I got it for around $800 and it’s worth over $25k now, lol
Have no plans to peel or sell it anytime soon..
Will probably keep it for atleast another halving cycle..

I got it as good cold storage and to make sure I wouldn’t spend it..
It’s worked like a charm..

Yeah the 2014 blip..
That’s what 2017 is gonna look like soon enough...
HODL

Oh no!!
Not 2,000 Twitter followers for me to care what they think!!
Please have mercy on me..
512  Economy / Reputation / Re: Campaign to exclude Vod from DT. Please join me. on: February 18, 2021, 02:55:35 AM

Kruglikov, I really hope you didn't do what you claimed:
Reported him with his real name to all organizations mentioned in reference. Please join me.

These organizations are used for revenge all the time like this, and they are well aware of what ripoffreport is.  If any law enforcement contacts recognize my name from the past (been online since the 90s) they will reach out and I'll have to show the threads that will probably get OGNasty injured.

Is that what you wanted?   Some people do think pedophilia is a crime, and they won't look fondly on his campaign to normalize it.

Yes Martin I contacted all of them. Also I was chatting with a head of this Alliance https://www.facebook.com/antipedoalliance/ He promised me to investigate that matter. I did that because a lot of people including me are really interested if you are really guilty of that accusations or not. And I do not care how you will explain your past and present activities to any law enforcement. And yes Pedophilia is a crime.

Activities related to the sexual exploitation of children, shall be punished by death or imprisoned for not less than 30 years or for life.

Enjoi...

Vod should be scared because when this scary Russian guy called all the lawyers and shit on me they interrogated me for 6 weeks straight..

NOT!!

What a jerkoff loser..
513  Economy / Reputation / Re: Long-time sig campaign farm ID'd via single wallet transaction on: February 18, 2021, 01:21:05 AM
What do you think CM does?
They launder money! They protect tax evaders, protect drug dealers, hitmen, you name it, the most immoral profitable thing you can imagine I’m sure chipmixer has protected them..
It’s what they do!!

Chipmixer got “scammed” a little tiny bit by some guy writing posts? Lol..
How do you feel about DPR getting scammed by redandwhite?
Live by the sword, die by the sword? No?

What happened here is FOMA didn’t use ChipMixer!!
CM is made for people just like FOMA..

Y’all just love CM because they are a stand up company with great principles?
These are their principles!! Anarchy! Lawlessness, enabling every sort of “criminal” you can imagine!!
What world do you think your in exactly?

about your comment, I think the following:

did the chipmixer owner create a mixer for thieves or created for anyone who wants more privacy? i'm not a chipmixer owner i can only assume that it created for anyone to have more privacy.

because if he know (have proof) that criminals are using his mixer to commit crimes this is dangerous and bad.

bad because sooner or later the police will knock on his door and from what I see the justice system is very cruel for this type of crime

I’m sure CM has mountains of proof of crimes.. But supposedly they always constantly delete it..
514  Economy / Reputation / Re: ChipMixer directly enables Scammers, Drug Dealers, CP, Terrorists, Tax Evaders.. on: February 18, 2021, 01:11:53 AM
I find this kind of thing a little bit on the gray area, on one side, people are helped because they earn money at signature campaigns of Chipmixer and the people are free from the prying eyes of entities threatening their finances and on the other hand, I do hate that mixers/tumblers are used by this despicable people. I tend to lean on advocating that a certain transparency would be added to mixers/tumblers because as much as I want the freedom to everything, I don't want people to abuse it and not being held responsible for their actions.

Transparent mixers?
WTH?
515  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 16, 2021, 02:42:53 PM
Congrats us!!

I believed so hard but seeing it materialize is hard to believe..
Just wow..

I know it’s only a couple more k, but it feels so good..

Anyone still not think we’re headed atleast over 100k this bull season??

Imagine if this bull season really lasts all of 2021 like would be expected..

I keep trying to think of what to do with all that $$, but all I can really think is to just keep holding..
What would I need to spend $100k or so on?  Nothing..
516  Economy / Reputation / Re: ChipMixer directly enables Scammers, Drug Dealers, CP, Terrorists, Tax Evaders.. on: February 15, 2021, 05:49:00 PM
Anyone that eddie13 is accusing directly - names, c'mon

This is merely intellectual, not accusational..
517  Economy / Reputation / Re: ChipMixer directly enables Scammers, Drug Dealers, CP, Terrorists, Tax Evaders.. on: February 15, 2021, 02:13:55 AM
If that holocaust mention was not good enough to make you think twice what's your real view

I wrote that, my view hasn’t changed..
I think you didn’t read and just replied to the title bro..

nothing about this has anything to do with American politics

Excuse me.. Maybe someone could have mistaken my mentioned placement on the political compass as “Chinese constitutionalism” if you hadn’t clarified..
518  Economy / Reputation / Re: A Single User With Multiple Accounts: Are There Reasons For Them Being Accepted? on: February 15, 2021, 01:44:41 AM
we're going towards communism

Yup basically..

No alts in a sig camp accepted anonymously is a stupid rule because it’s unenforceable..
Breaching contracts is bad, but their gonna do it, and you’ll be chasing them forever..

Get rid of the rule.. It’s more fair anyway, if he can get 5 accounts in and you can’t even get one, he wins.. Completely fair..

Breaching contract though is untrustworthy..
You guys ever see the bait bike pranks on YouTube? Lol
519  Economy / Reputation / Re: ChipMixer directly enables Scammers, Drug Dealers, CP, Terrorists, Tax Evaders.. on: February 15, 2021, 01:15:01 AM
Maybe I shouldn’t have used such a clickbait title??

the majority of users in the CM campaign are also on DT and this leads to another clusterfuck of problems

Short and sweet..
Leftists on DT flying CM please explain..

520  Economy / Reputation / Re: ChipMixer directly enables Scammers, Drug Dealers, CP, Terrorists, Tax Evaders.. on: February 14, 2021, 09:59:44 PM
It is their core customer base and business model...
How do you feel knowing that your sig profits are coming directly from the fees of the most egregious criminals you can imagine as they successfully evade every law you advocate for?

If you don’t like it take your CM signatures off, because this is the reality of the situation.. Like it or not..
Where do your principles REALLY lye?
The truth hurts Doesn’t it?

Let’s see someone explain to me how you can wear a CM sig and not hold the principles of an anarchist..
Ready for the word-salad trying to explain this away..

Inspired by my post here ..
And..
I think this would be a very good subject for another topic!

Ok.. I have some free time..

Wait...

Are you telling me that you wouldn't wear a CM sig if the Camp. Manager offered you a spot?

That's rich.

Must have missed your post..

I would sure yeah.. I have applied a few times..

I think more problems are caused by trying to stop such things than you would have in the first place if you just accepted that it is what happens..

Did you read the thread?
It’s basically in reply to a bunch of users telling me how terrible anarchic freedom is, how it isn’t reality, when I said that’s what you should expect to happen in crypto (especially surrounding CM), but yet they all support ChipMixer..

Confuses me..

Atleast Vod is actually openly against CM, while others are lovers of rule, order, and regulation, yet support CM to the bitter end..

@QS yeah.. Leftist, liberal, progressive, whatever..
Anything left of a constitutionalist is “left” to me..
