HARD FORK - Block 81,000General- New Logo - New Icons - No more error alerts - Syncing has been sped up - Litecoin cross chatter permanently removed Difficulty- Difficulty will now adjust at same spacing, but will move only 50% of the pre-fork adjustment Other- Symbol changed to SPOT - Network settings tweaked - Finding peers is much faster - Optimized IPv4/IPv6/loopback protocol handling - SUPERBLOCKS REMOVED - There was only a 0.01% chance of a block being a 205x super block. There were not many found in the entire 5 months so we are eliminating these completely - Reward changed from 49 to 48 to compensate for the already found superblocks, but keep the coin life as planned I still think it should have been at block 81000, there simply isn't enough time to update everything before block 79000  |

It was a dreadful release, one of the worst I have seen.
Even now there are no working pools... CPU coin GPU'D from the start. No real client, no win64 anything... useless

Any ideas why I can't connect? I always get a json_rpc_call failed, retry after 30 seconds error. I have tried everything I can think of, it usually works fine in a pool...

So the question is: will mining start at 19:30 or will the .rar be released then..?
mining will not commence at 7.30, the first part of release will, Oh good. Wanted to start mining and go out, instead they will release a mining guide then, I guess that couldn't have been pre-released! |

In which case, why not just release it as scrypt so that the GPU farms can mine it all up?
I understand the Botnet fears, but for the first day or so it could be a true CPU only, then someone will amend cgminer no doubt.
Would be very, very helpful if you put a link in here, where it ACTUALLY says it will be mineable with GPU's. On the devs twitter feed 2 days ago they were asking if someone could make a GPU miner. Q: How soon would you like us to switch to Kimoto Gravity Well?
I've got the code for KGW built into the new command-line client. It looks like other alts are switching based on block number.
We're currently at block 26650... I'd like to get the community's support to implement ASAP, but I realize we need to provide everyone time to get ready.
I would say you should give everyone 3 days to get a new client. Be realistic with the block aim too, Spots set their hard fork about 3 months in the future due to an unrealistic block rate expectation. |

Fiku, it's a P2P pool, you have to work on the pool for a while, then it gives out Animes over a short time period.
Sometimes I go 12 hours with nothing, then it gives loads for 20 minutes, then nothing again! It can be worrying but it's normal.

Difficulty is still high too, and the new miner is awesome. Happy to keep mining!
