2002  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: .02 BTC Reward for Working Hashra Lunar Lander Firmware on: November 15, 2015, 11:25:53 PM
tip down load them they  all work i use them on a PI 2, to make it work on a PI 2 you need install them on a first gen PI or one below a B+ then

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade

don't try on a PI b + or PI 2 B they won't work, till you do. believe or not those should be the original image or close and will update to 2.14 or 3, i for get which i haven't tried in while sense minera works just as good if not better .

then they should work on a PI 2. i haven't tried them on anything else yet but I'll bet they work on other stuff as long as you can update it  before hand on something it does work on, once the firmware is installed  they ask to self update  if you want to update to the latest version of which ever one it is .other then that when Simon went from good to bad with the Hashra stuff and starting stealing, nothing more was done, firmware wise, please keep the btc. you won't find one more up date then how i said unless some one does it, they will want more BTC then you are offering.

i do from time to time load them on my PI and use one the Script firm ware on my grind-seed gbalck  and they actually work on all my Zeus miners.

I all most got taken on one of those Script miners that never happen . i got my cash back .

Thanks, I will try all of this. I ordered the gridseeds, a lunar lander and then 3 of the 100mh/s boxes that never got shipped. When / how did you get your money back . . ? I would be SUPER interested in learning of that.

I'll let you know if I can figure out how to setup the firmware on a pi. Not sure which pi I have . . .

Cheers, J

i went thu payal and with light force something so i knew i would get it back i play it safe on these kind of deals + i did not wait the full 45 days with paypal before i know i couldn't get a thing back it just didn't look to good when Simon started missing to many due dates at the first of the year . so i asked for my money back thu the third party i went thu on paypal ..I will never buy direct like that unless i have some kind of protection or unless i know for a fact is it a company like bitmain  but they can go bad at any time as well .  as much as i hate tp put it like this you screwed look up Hashra on the forums here or on the Webb the law is looking for the owner who is in hiding atm,I'm  really Surprised that part of Hashra site is even up,  it was all down at one time . There is just not  a nice way to say it other then  you got taken or Screwed . to bad thu Hashra  gear from what was made was good but in the END ZEUSminer  Messed it all up for script miners Sad .I believe they got sued under another name  over some deals they did Zeus that is but stayed in business . but not selling chips or miners . to bad they could have been like bitmain of Script mines but became thieves sadly .they may have even took grid seed and bitmain for little the way it all went down but we will never know unless someone comes out and says so but polly can't because of some settlement that was sighed. and when Zeus starting back out is about when Hashra and companys either went under or started  stealing and why to me  it looked that way .I was even talking to one of the company in Canada who was tiring to make home script miners who had a very large order to Zeus for chips but they were lucky about that time Zeus came out and said they weren't going to sell any thing and went into cloud mining, he told me they hadn't paid any thing yet . i can add more of why it looked very fishy but won't all that it looked like Zeus was doing .

Oh well.  I wonder if these people will ever realize that Eligius is a zero fee pool that basically has no income, run by volunteers and donated hosting?  Guess that's just wishful thinking.

Carry on.

2005  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: how to compile cgminer for antminer s1 on: November 15, 2015, 09:10:36 PM
from the nice hash read me hope it helps . trust me it better you learn how to on your own  Smiley_ .

How to use:

1. (this step is optional but recommended) update your AntMiner S1 firmware to the latest one: https://bitmaintech.com/support.htm?pid=00720140411033846942qQqjOD460695

2. after firmware update is successful, connect via ssh to your miner (use putty under Windows)

3. enter this command to stop cgminer:

/etc/rc.d/S99cgminer stop

4. backup existing cgminer binary

mv /usr/bin/cgminer /usr/bin/cgminer-original

5. upload patched cgminer binary from your computer

scp [path where you download and extracted patched cgminer]/cgminer root@[IP of your miner]:/usr/bin/cgminer

(or use WinSCP under Windows)

6. make the new uploaded cgminer binary executable:

chmod +x /usr/bin/cgminer

7. start cgminer

/etc/rc.d/S99cgminer start

8. go to the AntMiner's web interface and append #xnsub at nicehash or westhash pool URL, press "Save & Apply"

stratum.nicehash.com:3334#xnsub

9. wait a minute and then go to the nicehash or westhash miner's details web page and make sure you have a green checkmark in "Extranonce subscription" column

https://www.nicehash.com/index.jsp?p=miners&a=1&addr=your-Bitcoin-address

***

cgminer-solo additional instructions:

You will need to install libcurl, libncurses and libpolarssl for this binary to
function.

With the most recent Bitmain S1 image Check /etc/opkg.conf line:
src/gz barrier_breaker

make sure it is:
http://downloads.openwrt.org/barrier_breaker/14.07/ar71xx/generic/packages/base

Then issue:
# opkg update
# opkg install libcurl
# opkg install libncurses
# opkg install libpolarssl
2006  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: how to compile cgminer for antminer s1 on: November 15, 2015, 09:08:14 PM
once you do that if you need the one from nicehash it's here in a more understand way  Smiley

The readme inside in ant 1 zip on nicehash explains how to replace the above one after you update it which i  would do first Smiley .

2007  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: how to compile cgminer for antminer s1 on: November 15, 2015, 08:35:58 PM
Here you go that explains it .  Smiley really it does .

https://github.com/kanoi/cgminer-binaries/tree/master/AntS1

you also need this to do it http://winscp.net/eng/download.php#putty it can only be done inside the antminer S1 i do it all the time .

from the read me

To update your executable:
--------------------------
Login to your ant, with ssh or putty, using the same root username and password
you use on the luci web interface
If your password is blank, then use the "System/Administration" tab in the web
interface to set a password, since you cannot login with a blank password

If you haven't done an update like this before (or undid the change), run the
following commands:
 cd /usr/bin/
 mv cgminer cgminer.original
 wget http://kano.is/AntS1/cgminer-ants1-4.9.1c-e6ad32a
 chmod +x cgminer-ants1-4.9.1c-e6ad32a
 ln -s cgminer-ants1-4.9.1c-e6ad32a cgminer

If you HAVE done an update like this before and cgminer.original has
already been saved, then run:
 cd /usr/bin/
 wget http://kano.is/AntS1/cgminer-ants1-4.9.1c-e6ad32a
 chmod +x cgminer-ants1-4.9.1c-e6ad32a
 rm cgminer
 ln -s cgminer-ants1-4.9.1c-e6ad32a cgminer

Next you need to restart cgminer on your AntS1
You can restart it, when logged into your ant, with the command
 /etc/init.d/cgminer restart
You will get a message saying "stopped cgminer" if it was running
You will get a message "no cgminer found; none killed" if it wasn't running
If you also get a message "cgminer is already running" then wait 10 seconds
then reissue the command to restart cgminer
 /etc/init.d/cgminer restart
The AntS1 system itself also checks to restart cgminer if it isn't running,
every 3 minutes

You can also restart it from the web interface by clicking the
"Save & Apply" button on the "Status/Miner Configuration" tab
It can sometimes take up to 3 minutes before the AntS1 restarts cgminer
if you use the web interface to restart it

Note that this binary file is also in my cgminer-binaries git here:
 https://github.com/kanoi/cgminer-binaries/tree/master/AntS1
However, wget on the AntS1 won't allow https by default so I've copied it
to my link specified in the wget above
The md5sum checksum is in:
 https://github.com/kanoi/cgminer-binaries/blob/master/MD5SUM
The md5sum value is:
 a341853fa6461efb054294336e9d78e9  AntS1/cgminer-ants1-4.9.1c-e6ad32a
You can check the md5sum value when logged in to the ant with:
 md5sum /usr/bin/cgminer-ants1-4.9.1c-e6ad32a

You can also request the version number of cgminer via the API
If you ssh into your ant, the command is
 cgminer-api version
For this version, it will reply with text containing:
 [CGMiner] => 4.9.1c
 [API] => 3.5

If you don't have one of the original AntS1 miners, but a newer one,
you may find that the luci "Miner Status" display shows LSTime on the end of
the pools table, as a long number rather than a date, after you update cgminer.
The easy fix for this - provided on the bitcointalk forum by artpego,
is to edit /usr/lib/lua/luci/controller/cgminer.lua to undo the change
commented out in there. Around line 287, look for:
  --lst_date = os.date("%c", lst)
  lst_date = lst
and change it back to:
  lst_date = os.date("%c", lst)
  --lst_date = lst

Note that you may need to power cycle your AntS1 for the above change to take
effect

The source for this binary cgminer version (4.9.1c-e6ad32a) is here:
 https://github.com/kanoi/cgminer/tree/ants1-4.9.1c-e6ad32a

To undo the change:
 cd /usr/bin/
 rm cgminer
 mv cgminer.original cgminer
then restart cgminer (as explained above)

To update the cgminer-monitor script:
-------------------------------------
This new cgminer-monitor script will kill and restart cgminer if the Elapsed
Time is greater than 4 weeks.
This is useful if the clock in the OpenWRT was wrong when cgminer started but
ntp has since corrected it - if this happened then the Elapsed Time will show,
incorrectly, a very large number and the calculated hash rates and other
numbers will be very small due to the large Elapsed Time value

Login to your ant, with ssh or putty, using the same root username and password
you use on the luci web interface
If your password is blank, then use the "System/Administration" tab in the web
interface to set a password, since you cannot login with a blank password

If you haven't done an update like this before (or undid the change), run the
following commands:
 cd /usr/bin/
 mv cgminer-monitor cgminer-monitor.original
 wget http://kano.is/AntS1/cgminer-monitor
 chmod +x cgminer-monitor

If you HAVE done an update like this before and cgminer-monitor.original has
already been saved, then run:
 cd /usr/bin/
 rm cgminer-monitor
 wget http://kano.is/AntS1/cgminer-monitor
 chmod +x cgminer-monitor

You won't need to power cycle your AntS1

To undo this change:
 cd /usr/bin/
 rm cgminer-monitor
 mv cgminer-monitor.original cgminer-monitor

Toptek: cgminer has a specific build of 4.9.2 that supports the compac, but that build doesn't support the antminer as this part has been modified for the compac.

So either I use the standard version that support everything I need but not the compac
Or I use the special build that supports the compac but not th antminer (which I need).

Quote
--enable-gekko --enable-icarus : gekko was built by gutting icarus and rebuilding for compac's, so to use icarus, you would need to do 2 cgminers. 1 for the cgminer-gekko, 1 regular cgminer for icarus, and run both cgminers 1 for compac and 1 for icarus.

At the moment I'm using both versions on 2 computers, but i'd like to consolidate my 6 U3+1 BFL single and the compacs on 1 computer.

Obviously, for pool difficulty reason, my 333Mhs block erupters will have to run on a separate machine.

you can compile that in if you know  how to . one second i give the comamnds for it even the CG they have just leave out or adds a line sometihng like this during the compile even there cusotm build you can  hope luke doesn't get pissed at me for doing it . NM i l pm it Smiley . ok  ? .

--enable-antminer il pM the full text if you want it id rather not do it on the BFG thread . but  renumber CG miner no longer has script support of any kind after 3.7.2 i think it was just  sha256  support and isn't  that one stick a script type miner ? . it's been long while sense I used those .

I have add other support into the compac  version it still there just have to know  what to use as a command along with what they use .
That there version of the driver is off there server but you can get it off the main server with everything i have to see if it would work and it did

you can add that back  some place in the compile or do a update of your own or wait or figure out why BFG is doing it . one last question do you have a windows box if so have you tried in on a windows box with just the BFG driver installed . . but I really don't like CGMiner i won't go any farer why i don't Smiley . hate to start something i won't like later on .

Thank you for trying Smiley

I'm looking forward the pod to be released too !

I was trying to use bfgminer as it's the only one that supports all my miners, but if cgminer next release supports the compac then my problem is solved :p

SO  all the miners do work in the CG mimer from here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1173963.0  that has a custom made CGMINer for the compac, it does support it , I m kind lost by this

bfgminer as it's the only one that supports all my miners

yea your right it support any all miners sense they removed Script support from CGMiner and why I like BFG so much more.

Maybe that's what you mean ? . well any way hit that thread . if there is something wrong with those three side will replace them he gives a warranty .
2010  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: BFGMiner 5.4.0: GBT+Stratum, RPC, Mac/Linux/Win64, Antminer S1-S5, Alchemist on: November 15, 2015, 07:03:20 PM
it's a linux box, so I do not have to worry about drivers Smiley

Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description:    Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS - KODIbuntu
Release:        14.04
Codename:       trusty

and if it was windows, I would have to uninstall zadig
cgminer requires zadig, BFG uses the standard driver

then i don't know why, , it should just work and most who use BFG just set like i said and it works with whatever amount in  linux or windows  , I'll be honest , I'm not into stick miners like i was back in 2014 when they first came out, i only planed to buy one and have it now and I let run day and nite on CK pools in the Stick club.

when the pod comes out thu i want a few of those. I will use them like i use S5 now to me there gonna be worth it .

LUKE might ask him or go to the support thread for the miner it self there is a lot of good help there.

2011  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] S3++ (21unit) & S5 (4unit) on: November 15, 2015, 06:04:13 PM
more like what is power useage or watts of one of these are they really ++  not just S3 + your selling as ++ don't know any different ? .

Just making sure form what Ive heard about the ++ you can only get in them in china or over sea in far off places they run at the same speeds as the S3 + but uses less power at the same speeds.

280 watts is about right at default speed, i  could have bought two on ebay  this summer for 500 for both, i thought was over priced for even two S3,  till i read it more then it was to late, they sold that fast .

the hashrate is 450 without overclock. my friend overclock the unit can run at 500 without a problem. one thing interesting about the ++ is it takes only 280w from the wall.

In this case with the ++ speed won't mater it's what hey use at the wall sense all S3 no matter which one even the ones before the S3 + can run at the same speed when they added firmware support for the S3  + all S3 because of the upgrade path from S1 to S3 made it that way, i know for a fact that is true i have replaced a S3 + board in a S3 + not upgraded with one of the so called normal S3 boards and  it runs the same as a S3 + . Smiley.

as usually i saw this to late or id make a offer no cash atm in buying some thing else that took that from me .

All BFG is doing here is looking for some thing that may not have a driver hocked into it right,  i mean is loaded but isn't, if its windows . and has a yellow warning mark by it in Device manager then it's not BFG at all Smiley it's the right driver for the software you happen to be using. if none of this works for you then why not stay with CG ?, if it works . also if may load up in windows any way because the CG driver work, if it there is no issue with the miner using CG  you may have to uninstall  the CG driver and then install the BFG drivers.

In minera unless something  is wrong with one or two just set it for one it should pick the rest up if it has BFG 5.4 in the custom folder or it lets you update BFG to 5.4 .

or like this maybe with the command line black screen. make sure your USB hub is working right that might be a problem as well. check it with this command

ldconfig
lsusb

if it's on a windows pC if not you may need to do it this way

cd /bfgminer
sudo ldconfig
lsusb

./bfgminer here -o stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333/#cksuggest -u you user  -p x --set compac:clock=200 or higher if you Oc and  using  CKs pool
                     ^
you can add -S all the compac were set up thu not to need -S all but it might work .

--api-listen --api-allow W:127.0.0.1/24,W:192.168.1.0/24  this if you want to give it read  write access for other software, BFG should  just pick them all up and post all six.

like this

./bfgminer -o stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333/#cksuggest -u your user -p x --set compac:clock=200
or

./bfgminer -S all -o stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333/#cksuggest -u your user -p x --set compac:clock=200

or with read write for other Software you can use for miners .

./bfgminer -o stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333/#cksuggest -u your user -p x --set compac:clock=200 --api-listen --api-allow W:127.0.0.1/24,W:192.168.1.0/24

or

./bfgminer -S all -o stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333/#cksuggest -u your user -p x --set compac:clock=200 --api-listen --api-allow W:127.0.0.1/24,W:192.168.1.0/24

thank you but as I wrote in my post:

bfgminer -S all --set compac:clock=150 ==>> finds 3 devices (out of 6) and I get the following error in bfgminer.log

Quote
[2015-11-14 15:48:23] ModMiner detect: no response to version request from /dev/ttyUSB5

did you try

--set compac:clock=x0b83     x0b83  is = to 150 in  BFG other wise i would say jump here see if they can help Smiley .  or set it to 200 maybe those three need a higher clock setting in BFG. 200 wont hurt it or doesn't on my one which is all i want .
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1173963.0

but they will Polly tell you use CFMINER if it works for you and BFG won't, I can't see or be at your set up, if i could, i could Polly have it working with BFG or CG in no time, all 6 .
Last thought : once you have BFG running did you unplug the three that are not working then plug then back in it is safe to do.

Is it a windows box if so BFG uses a different driver in windows then what  CG does you have to

uninstall the one for CG and use this one for BFG

 http://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/Pages/USBtoUARTBridgeVCPDrivers.aspx

which is a better driver for BFG  then the one for CG .

it may be a driver issue if its windows. That driver may say it only works on windows up to 8.1, I linked, but it does work with windows 10, i have used that driver with win 10 .
if your OS is windows look at device manager once all 6 are plugged in if three don't  loaded up in device manager it is a driver issue ,  you need the driver i linked or use CGminer Smiley .

Having trouble with my GawMiners fury with bfgminer 5.4.0

bfgminer.exe --scrypt -S noauto -o stratum+tcp://eac.suprnova.cc:3515 -u Username.1 -p 1 -S zeusminer:\\.\COM7 --set zeusminer:clock=320 --set zeusminer:chips=6 --set zeusminer:ignore_golden_nonce=1

Everything looks good but it wont except any shares???

Try another pool to see it is the pool to start.

and with BFG you don't need all those setting for Zeus miner  or there = anymore .

I use Zeus miner a lot and my command lines when i don't use minera are nothing like that with BFG 5.4  that's more like BFG 4.3.1 you had to use it that way .

one second i lty to give you a better set of commands .

--scrypt -S zus:all -o stratum+tcp://eac.suprnova.cc:3515 -u Username.1 -p 1 --set zus:chips=6 --set zus:clock=320 make sure 320 is the right clock speed i never bought one of those miners.

if they are all the same miners you won't need -S zeusminer:\\.\COM7 and Polly won't any way it you set the clocks chip set right for any other miner in the line and -S noauto according to the BFG readme is off by defuat now Smiley .it does in deed seem to be OFF on my windows PC, my video card doesn't want to start any more if i don't use -S noauto or didn't all most two weeks ago when i was testing it on my PC .

you may or may not need  --set zeusminer:ignore_golden_nonce=1  with BFG 5.4 test it some. if i renumber right that line was suppose help fix a bug with Zeus miner that both BFG and CG got hit with, CG uses a different format in the fork for GG that still has Script support but it does the same thing fixes some kind of bug and helps keep  Down HW errors.

...
Thank you for taking the time to respond.
So directly plugged on mobo.

Usb3 to get to 0.8 or really good USB2 ?

Real GOOD USB 2.0, i'm currently using some IBM and Dell mobos, and the one that is a "generic" is an Asus. They're built like tanks and the port runs flawlessly for weeks.

I use this one i bought  a while back off new egg got a nice deal on had no use for it till now . I have it plugged into a 240 line with no issue at all once i figure out how to power it up and what PSU, i needed for a 220/240 line, it works on a 110/120 line in US as well. The reviews on new egg are on the money, which you don't find to often for a product .

Looks like another round of bad luck but i won't leave because when we do hit it pays just as good as one that doing a constant 79 PH or so, i noticed . that's the nice thing about Pools with a low hash rate it always pays well once it hits and they hit a lot maybe not like the big guys but is a big good ?,  really. i have nothing really to lose by staying parked here it's all the same so it seems and evens out .I mean it is not going any faster any place else unless I'm able to run 600 th or more, even then  here or any were it's still the same.if I had that much to back me up, Id want more, and i would solo mine and keep it all, I do mean keep it all, i would set my own pool and server just for that I know how to , I'm sure id hit a few times every few days to make enough to cover power cost and then some. I guess my point is why move to some other place because of bad luck ? unless the luck gets so bad nothing is coming then it's time to say good bye you will lose then.,  it's gonna be the same any other place , you can put numbers up but really in the end it evens out no mater were you go and numbers in the end are nothing but numbers that can be and are wrong  all most all the time. time is time and time is going to do what it does best take it's time and hand us what it please to till time is no more Smiley .

The main thing to me

I trust, this Pool over Bitmian's antpool that doesn't all ways seem to pay right, slushs Pool, i use from time to time is good  for fast cash out and a few others, I use, but I re invest those cash out, back into  BTC to in cease my hash which actually doesn't seem any faster just bigger pay outs with may be a day or two off what it was and it does even out, i don't lose unless, i let my gear back down etc or don't replace it at the right time then that's stupid unless you don't care .

Hope someone's got some ideas for an old punch card and paper tape warrior...anyway, I've got an Ubuntu system (new to Linux as well...what a life) running a Radeon R9 290X, and I'm not having any issues with the Radeon itself, it seems, although I'm not terribly savvy on how Linux handles devices. I have BFGMiner running to solo.ckpool.org, but it continues to say "no devices found" and the autodetect is not finding it. I'd try to manually enter it, but can't find any documentation at all on the syntax for defining the Radeon...if that's the real issue. Otherwise, the miner runs, and connects to the pool no problem, but there are no shares accepted at all. Any suggestions? I previously was running GUIMiner on Windows 10 to the same pool and getting share reports, etc. I suppose I should try pointing to Slush's and see what happens?

Using BFG 5.4 may or may not work with a video card, bfg is build now a days more for Acis miners then for video card but it is poss to use one still with BFG even 5.4 just hard to set up right . Slushes may do the same thing due to the hash on video card, is to low for those kind of sites . use nicehash or sites like nicehash to benefit with a video card and use this software it works way better over BFG for that type of hard ware miner
