1161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: AlcheMiner/MAT New Firmware and BFGMiner port! on: October 30, 2016, 07:37:47 AM
I tiried all those ports at first and now end up  using it at

Code:
d=8192
my boards work well or seem to like that setting best, no board is doing 12 MN while the rest do 32 MH if I use that differently setting as part of my set up . I tested it a lot  and it all most worthless to over clock them with the new firmware beyond
Code:
-set ALC:clock=320
tried a few times at max 352 it worked for while then shut down and i had lots of  cool air blowing on the boards,  it gets  some really strange high HW errors then say some thing about floating point limit reached in BFG then stops mining till it's shuts off or reset with the clocks at 320, so i leave it there and have no issue at all . and the firmware acttly works another way or has so far for me if i have the fans off it will shut down if it gets to hot after 12 mins and has so far every time @ 12 mins,  i tested it . so with the update it seems it can't over heat and burn out the boards Jat did some nice work fixing the manufacturer mistakes .

Quote
And i have problem with install.sh and autostart,sh ..
.

are you using the MAT controller if so that why . let me find that post how to fix it .
you have to change stuff  on that controller if  you replaced it with the new BFG or other GUI after you flashed the boards according to what Jat said on the old lite coin forums all that controller is a watered version of a raspberry PI  once you over write the old software you have to change some paths and other stuff on that controller ,I'm using my own controller with custom plugs to a USB 3.0 self powered Hub plugged into a Cubieboard PI running either minera or just BFG with Ubuntu 16.04.1 .

hey can you post Screens shots of that fan set up, i might try it to cut down even more on noise and run them cooler .

here's my post about how to use it with a custom PI or your own controller .

I can't belive they have testing Zcahs for 15 days and they have not tested transactions Huh? Huh Huh

or windows miners, windows off line wallet  or well I won't go there .
1164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Open Source ZEC (ZCash) GPU Miner AMD & NVidia (up to 45 sol/s on RX480) on: October 29, 2016, 09:49:24 AM
Can anyone share how to control GPU fan speeds in ubuntu using the latest GPUPRO drivers? Finally got it running, but now the cards overheat and crash. Turns out the problem was using the live persistent USB after all. Once installed normally the drivers installed easy peezy.

PS I tried the previously posted method somewhere around page 54, didn't work.

I m glad it worked out for you. Wish I could get there. You mind me asking which version of ubuntu are you using. I've been stuck at the login loop after installing amd gpupro drivers. When I did get it to work. I encounter the error no opencl devices found. blah blah blah. TIA

I used Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS and followed the directions on AMD's site.

THere is more to it then what  info they give you may need some other downloads  before you even try like the SDK installed with includes set before you do and may be even  need this

Code:
sudo apt-get install lib32z1 lib32ncurses5 lib32bz2-1.0 lib32stdc++6
and redo your
Code:
linux-headers-generic

it took me a few hours the other day getting them installed but i did it after i did I reformatted the Hard driver went back to windows just want to see if i could ,

you may need to change line 67 in the amdgpupro install file to this
Code:
 echo ${dir}${etc}${dir}${sourceparts}/amdgpu-pro.list

as for seeing fan speeds and temps and controlling them it is possible but i couldn't find it, it has some thing to do with how the sdk is installed and the includes are set up right . and the other reason i went back to windows couldn't find out how to , is your card supported by that driver yet , i found out not all R7 series cards are  so you have to use Ubuntu 15 or lower . and that can be another mess but fun at first to learn .
1165  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Open Source ZEC (ZCash) GPU Miner AMD & NVidia (up to 45 sol/s on RX480) on: October 29, 2016, 09:42:53 AM
I've had 560 sols on this pool for 9 hours and so far have 0.006 ZEC... If I had used coinmine.PL I would have had ~0.18 zec by now.,...

Conclusion: THIS POOL IS STEALING OUR HASH!!!!!!!!!
Address please

Sone info, when you start transaction, you can't check your Z-Address balance (it becomes invalid) and queue more than one transaction to Z/T address. Therefore, you can't queue a batch transaction from one Z-Address (or one zcash node?).
I reduced payout to 1min, since now  pool payouts on maximum speed possible for zcash node (or single Z-address, can't really say).

nasty bug atm

I think you should enable payments only for t address for now, so at least the majority of the miners can get paid and it is not taking 30min per payout.

That's what http://zcash.flypool.org is doing I'm only using a T address and kind glad now there is no windows off line wallet yet .

because i can't put all my GPUs on one pool with the CPUs . i was force to mine on Nice hash till they fix that crash in this miner https://github.com/Genoil/ZECMiner/tree/master/releases for AMD cards on windows once it's fixed that miner can mine on any pool with windows or you can run a Linux box and use this one https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1661160.0  i think it works on any pool .

my sol is at 100 or a little less  with 3 470  two r7 370 and one 280 and using two 8 core cpus at 6 cores . i have two 4 core CPU i need to ad better cooling to or  id be using them at 2 or 3 cores , cheap cooling on them .

@ Searing i should have listen to you to start with at least at  nicehash I can put all my CPUs and GPUs on one pool with one miner and not worry to much about bad pay outs or is the site adding it up right , i believe  zcash.flypool.org would but no working miners like nicehash has so it's nice hash for at least the next three or four days, let them sell it for me and credit my btc address , I'm not even gonna use nicehashes pool that pays out with ZEC , if i want a peace of the PIE .

[b]WTH is wrong hahah  Huh[/b]

I am running nicehash with
1 x 7950
4 x 280x

Im only getting 30 sol is there anything I can do to tweak or trouble shoot it

my code is as follows

nheqminer_zcash -l usa -u t2UNzUUx8mWBCRYPRezvA363EYXyEpHokyi -t 0 -od 0 1 2 3 4

You should get at least 50sols/s

any ideas?

Turn  a few cores on, i did a -h to see what helps or use overclocking software but that doesn't seem to do to much but does help some, ID say turn on some cores if your CPU can handle it and has good cooling , MY AMD 8 core  is set to use 6 cores with a R7 370 im doing close to 20 sol with  6 cores on, i was doing 9 to 10 sols with the GPU by it self. .

even the APU's cpu coers can jack it up a little, i found out but i have a really bad cooler on it so using two cores makes it over heat to much but did give that GPU a nice boost, i don't mean the APU video part .

if I read and understand how it works,I'm doing 19 sols

 Speed [300 sec]: 10.6867 I/s, 19.91 Sols/s

my three RX 470 at best only do 16 sol each not the 20 something in the title any DOC on how to tweak them for your software miner and  they have modded bios, i would think that should make them run better even here . mining ETH they get a good 27 MH each steady.

Ive all ready stopped mining here i want to mine here http://zcash.flypool.org/ but the software miner they link is shit right now.

is it only Win 10 it crashes on if so i can install 7 or  8.1 ?  if windows 10 is the problem which might be it.
1171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Z.cash mining is up! What you using? What you getting? BTC/ZEC whichever. on: October 28, 2016, 09:07:06 PM
mining on two sites atm

one with CPU's

http://zcash.flypool.org/ I can't GPU mine here yet the AMD miner they link for windows crashes with in second and i can't find another windows based software miner that works on  that site and Bash on Ubuntu on Windows is a bitch to set up and i get bored tiring to get the AMD drivers to install and not gonna box all my PC with Ubuntu. I like windows to much .

the other site GPU mining

http://coinsforall.io   mining here only  because there software miner  only works on there site, i tried with zcash.flypool in the conf,  it won't connect .

gonna check out super nova next

don't care much for nicehash .

I had exactly the same experience on zcash.flypool.org. miner crashes within a second.
What a bummer.
will try suprnova once they have t-addresses working (right now crashes on suprnova as well)
what platform is AMD (1?)

in that software for AMD no idea yet i wish it worked I'm  gonna like zcash.flypool a lot probable as mush as i like ethermine.org one of there sister sites.
1172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ZCash Mining Guide on: October 28, 2016, 08:52:22 PM
Mining ZCash the central processor i7 will be possible? There is such instruction?

you can here under windows use the software miner they link , I'm using it with two 8 core and two four cores, one is a Intel 1155 socket CPU . the GPU software they link crashes my GPU's with in second, i had to use software for GPU mining form another site that only works on that site for now.

http://zcash.flypool.org  I'm CPU mining there as I type this.

1174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: Stabile pool for zcash help on: October 28, 2016, 08:11:07 PM
I'd say here http://zcash.flypool.org/

but I'm only able to CPU mine  atm because the GPU miner they link crashes with in second of using and i Can't find another windows based Zcash miner that works with that site and this one is looking like it gonna be the best site.

or try here

http://coinsforall.io

they have a miner that only works on that site or would only work there for me .

Both seem to be very stable .

it depend more right now on the software miner and  OS your using then the pool .

Hope that helps

thanks top

I run my MAT/Alcheminer a few days a week and eth mine everyday , I'm what you would call a hobby miner , and  it is a hobby for me with a kind of reward . i flashed my boards using that guide, if you  flashed your boards and need to fix a bricked one ask jstefanop he may be able to help you, if you want to flash the boards with that firmware , bfg is free the firmware it self may not be ask jstefanop he may give it to you or ask for a few bucks for it, he wrote it.

I'm happy with mine doing 27 MH  from time to time i like to mess around at first but usually after i find the Sweet spot i stay with it. btw the 28 Mh test lasted two days then it crashed so i went back to 27 MH which is what the sweet spot seems to be .

thanks toptek

Man I love awesome Miner and Minera will keeping using both and keep paying for both, If i  have to as long as i keep mining .

I noticed some thing it seems every time you try to add support for the latest version of Claymore miners without using the upload tool you gave us which is a great help , with in hours he posts a new version, 7.3 for windows  is out now . it seems that way I'm sure it's not and me being the update fool , I am will try it and if it works ok ill keep using it etc weather i need to or not .

So if the efficiency is no better than a Titan -- then -- is this a SCAM?

Why would someone overpay to buy these units?  I'm lost here.

It seems that it is basically 2.5x as efficient as the 100Mh/s A2 units (which are selling for about $650 with PSU).

Sadly, no its not a scam. Miners will be flocking to these, just like every stupid hardware release ... no matter the price and no matter the efficiency. Its an addiction. Ill probably be the only one not purchasing any.

Nope, not the only one... Unless the price drops. A lot.

same after reading everything here Id rather by a few A2's  and try to get a titan, the titan has more hash power if all the dies work ,what's the point .

other then

a fool and his money

no offense intended to anyone by that commit .
