2001  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Self proclaimed Satoshi CSW losing his case... on: March 29, 2022, 09:35:06 AM
Wow it's sure been a while since this dude has been somewhat in the spotlight, which is definitely a very good thing. And now they're claiming that the keys were stolen? Lmao.
Actually the fact is he is spoiled brat kid who always wants to be in limelight no matter how much fool he looks like to all the viewers. He is always defending him with this statement that he lost keys or were stolen and crying like babies but that's not how it works. So let him play this temporary game which will soon land him behind the bars.

Satoshi's forum account is locked. To reclaim it, he'll have to convince theymos that he's the real deal. If he can do that, it's good though for me.
So one post, no matter what it says, is enough for me to merit the maximum amount instantly.
Yeah he can't convince those who are not into listening his shit at all because you can't bribe @theymos so he is just going the other way around of court cases.

So, if CSW wants so bad to be believed, all he has to do is properly sign a proper new message with the private key of one known Satoshi address.
He failed to do so long ago, hence proved himself to be a clown and a fraud.
That's the whole real and simple game which he is not understanding and giving out bullshit statements that he has lost keys and can't do this or that but can only talk.So his condition is funny because he is known as Australian computer genius but the irony is a genius who can't prove anything and store his keys safely is only clown which definitely he has proven for himself.Satoshi in his dreams so let him try to look more foolish.

He lost the case a long time ago, but fortunately for him, he can reopen it with every new lawsuit in another country. The man obviously has enough money to keep trying to prove something that is true only in his head. In some countries where obviously everything can be bought for money, Faketoshi is recognized as Satoshi which only further feeds his ego to move on.
But not for too long because you will consume your networth at one point by running behind your stupid actions which is exactly what he is doing and is now losing the cases. There are many defamation case against him and we all know that you can be right if you have money but this bitcoin network doesn't grant bribe system and for us we know the reality.

He can't prove he is Satoshi and will also loose hi real identity as some faketoshis have been arrested he might also join them soon.
2002  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 💜 — 1st licensed crypto casino 🥇 Change the way you play 🚀 on: March 29, 2022, 08:55:37 AM
If there is a large enough balance in the account, the possibility of addiction will definitely continue to play slots because if it is not controlled it will consume your balance, so for me it is enough to deposit enough when playing slots if it is excessive or save it for other bets I think it will be difficult Stop the slot if the curiosity persists want a high multiplier.

When I've played slots and lost, log out of the account and close the browser, Grin
It's the only thing not to come back at that time, and I'll be back tomorrow or a few days later. Cheesy
That is why we really need to always limit ourselves in using or depositing money into our gambling accounts so that we are not addicted to playing slots. Maybe we can deposit $10-$20 for one play. But for me, maybe from that $20, I only use $5 or less to play slots because my reason to play slots is just to fill my spare time, which is only for a short time. That way, I can overcome and stay away from gambling addiction and enjoy playing slots.

Yes, coming back for the next day or a few days later is highly recommended to stay away from addiction and it can help us prevent addiction.
I would say set-up proper budget plan for yourself like say a month and never put extra money to them because it means you have lost your budgeted amounts and now you are going above the limits which can take you to become addicted towards it.So avoid this practice as much you can.Cash out the winnings and play with planned amount which is my way of playing but you all have to decide for yourself.

You've got the link wrong and I'll correct it onto this quoted text of yours. Wow that's a hooping $100k giveaway and I can't wait to know the details of this giveaway and not just that but the collaboration itself with Steve. I do hope it will just be an easy one to join and no other things to do like referral.
Thanks for the correction as there was some issue while pasting the link on clipboard i guess so which is why it was not opening up.But now i have also made the corrections in my previous post with the original link of rollbit tweet in which this information has been shared.

But yes this is surely big giveaway from the team and we could be lucky to have some prizes from this one if take part according to rules.
2004  Other / Meta / Re: Save your nice merit records here - LAST UPDATE: 24/03/2022 on: March 29, 2022, 08:23:43 AM
@aysg76 11 merit to 1500 merit.  Cheesy
Little update now only 8 merits left to reach that 1500 mark and it might be soon but keeping my working flow the same way.You seems to pickup this merit saving job fast enough and best of luck with it  Wink

So i also have one more record to save it here and that's for Indonesian local board merit source applicator @skarais who has managed to cover good distance and have 1414 merits on his record:

Edit: There is one more member whose records is worth saving here on this thread and who has earned good amount of merits with his quality posts on the forum. So here is another record for @RickDeckard with 1111 merits now :

Wish all the other members congratulations and hipe you all reach your next target with good contributions on the forum.
2005  Other / Meta / Re: [Results 2021] Bitcointalk Community Awards 🏆 on: March 29, 2022, 08:04:06 AM
That's understandable and we can only respect the opinion. I wonder however, if theymos doesn't agree to this "deal", would you consider sending the amount to one of icopress addresses - assuming he accepts it? I'm sure that he'll know, better than anyone, where to channel/donate those funds to help his country...
Considering his past refusal to accept any prize it is hard that @theymos might accept this one also as Chipmixer has already donated his 5mbtc win to the Ukraine help. But if @Best_change does not want to involve in any of these matters it's on them but yes giving out the amount to the person who has organised this whole thing @icopress or @GazetaBitcoin are perfect to decide how to make effective use of these funds.

It's really nice to see that @theymos has decided to donate the funds from his winning and he deserved the title Hero of Good

Hero of Good

Will look forward that whether he accept it this way or not.
2006  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase the most anti-Bitcoin organisation. Make #DeleteCoinbase great again on: March 29, 2022, 07:43:35 AM
I was just thinking along the same lines of the post by RickDeckard above, but in relation to this point as well. We already know that Coinbase is anti-bitcoin, anti-privacy, pro-regulation, and pro-government by their ongoing work with the CIA, FBI, IRS, ICE, and a variety of other government agencies. It's no surprise really, when they are so happy to jump in to bed with the government, that they would be happy to jump in to bed with fiat banks and other institutions. Anything in the name of profit when it comes to Coinbase, to the detriment of all their users and even to bitcoin itself. As long as they keep lining their own pockets, right?
Exactly these exchanges works like some private firms setup for their own benefits who is promising big to the customers but in reality they are in line up with these central agencies working on their behalf to fool people. They are getting huge revenues from the customer but also compromising their security at big level like selling information to DEA and IRS or say other sources also.

Coinbase sold their blockchain analytics software to these agencies and openly announced it on the net but have they shared that users privacy is also being shared with them in order to track them down? No way they have stated in the privacy policy that it's because no money laundering or illicit use of funds take place but they are themselves doing such shaddy business.I don't understand if we are trading in decentralised coins like bitcoin with the help of these centralised exchange asking for privacy and KYC then what's the fun of decentralisation?

Quote
The Vidovics' account had risen to $168,596 on April 28 when the hacking occurred, according to account statements the Vidovics shared with CNBC. That amount was essentially wiped out, with only a $587.15 balance shown the next day.

Quote
Since 2016, Coinbase users have filed more than 11,000 complaints against Coinbase with the Federal Trade Commission and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, mostly related to customer service.

There are many such cases you will find against coinsbase frauds and it's almost clear they are backed by these government agencies to work for them. The CEO brain and all other complies to their demands and give them records which they use against customers to track them dowm.So better evade the use of these centralised exchanges before that.
2007  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 29, 2022, 07:30:59 AM
After long time CB has made hatrick post and that also within $47k range with leaving behind his NFT avatar and now choosing to smash the bears the hell out with that price surge charts Grin

Are we going to enjoy $50k weekend this time? If so i am ordering two pizzas to embark the half century for bitcoin to celebrate it.

So now the official candidate running for Canada's PM elections is issuing this statement:

This statement might turn most of bitcoiners in his favour after the recent policy of Justin Trudeau on freezing the freedom convoy truckers btc transactions, bank accounts and the latest one coinbase privacy policy to disclose the receipt details if the amount is more than $1000 CAD.So this can prove some really bad points for them as the other party is having friendly behaviour to btc.

But can't really beleive on them as after coming into power they all make their own decisions without caring for people but will see the results and bitcoin remains unstoppable.
2008  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Self proclaimed Satoshi CSW losing his case... on: March 28, 2022, 01:04:55 PM
So the self proclaimed Satoshi Craig Wright who is none other than clown on that list of those having the same false claims is on the journey of losing all his fraudulent cases he has put against btc community and Cobra.

In a recent ruling by London high court he has faced legal setup against his case of bitcoin developers where he claimed of losing the private keys to the wallet containing his 79,957 bitcoins in Mt.gox hack and demanded it back from the developers.

The address holding the coins worth billions today is this one : Btc address

This was his another one fake attempt to take the control of money he didn't own a single penny but was determined to make everybody fool but the tables have turned upon him as the case is dismissed by the court

His lawyers were making this statement:

Quote
As reported by U.Today, Wright's lawyers claimed that the private keys to his wallet were stolen by hackers from the computer of the self-proclaimed Satoshi Nakamoto on Feb. 5, 2020.

But the court overuled this charges by giving out this response to his lawyers :

Quote
However, Judge Sarah Falk has ruled that "the pleaded facts amount to a fiduciary relationship." The court says that there is no allegation that any of the developers had "any involvement" with the Mt. Gox hack. Hence, it rejected Wright's efforts to impose a new legal duty on them.

The judge has concluded that the evidence presented by Wright "was not sufficient" to conclude that the entire case "was no more than fanciful." It remains unclear whether Wright will appeal the unfavorable judgment.

This one is just starting and he will taste his own medicine by getting defeat in every case proving himself the real fraudster and moreover the Clown who thought he would prove himself genius without even taking care of his keys  Grin

He is always careless not to safely secure his private keys and can't even sign a message from Satoshi address but still if confident that he will win this one sided fake war but have no idea he is going to jail at the last for all his conduct because his networth will be wasted in these lawsuits and will get nothing in his hand at last.

2009  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How secured is fingerprint lock on wallet? on: March 28, 2022, 12:03:54 PM
If I use a fingerprint lock on my crypto wallet will this add more security to my wallet and recovery seed or just security over avoiding someone to see my wallet balance via operating my phone?
As members have given out their suggestions to you regarding this biometric protection of your wallets I would also recommend you to avoid using fingerprint sensor to unlock your crypto wallets due to some reasons.

This sounds good and can add layer of protection with pattern or pin combination in case of fingerprint not working and it's designed in this manner but there are some technical faults in the software sometimes which would not able to detect the finger prints.

There was similar topic that i made about block also planning to implement this fingerprint sensor instead of having the traditional way of seed phrases but you could see it reduces security in many ways mentioned in this thread. You become exposed and your wallet is at danger because only one touch of your thumb could unlock it while seed phrase is not easy to remember and you don't carry hardware wallets all the time.

So be smart and avoid using them because some things if kept in traditional manner are more useful and secured rather than experimenting the technology aspects in them.

2011  Other / Meta / Re: Please State What Criteria or Reasons Willing to Give Your MERITS to Someone? on: March 28, 2022, 11:23:06 AM
Cause if someone runs for merit and he/she doing his/her best to create useful topics and made a good quality reply then the merits will come easily.
There is some difference in this because you are thinking that way but i have seen some members only caring about getting merit so that they can join any campaign for earning purpose ignoring the quality post fact but ends up getting nothing or nearly one or two merits. So merits should be in your mind but quality preference for long survival should be more important and delivering your best to this community.

Chasing a merit is not just hard if you are knowledgeable enough.
Or say it's the other way around like if you have knowledge you don't need to chase merits  Wink

I don`t think this advice really works for you, since you didn`t receive any merit for the last 120 days. I also can`t agree that not caring about merit is productive as well. Sure, focusing on this alone will not add constructiveness to your posts, but you need to think about the future possible merits, because in this way you can imagine what other forum members can evaluate you for, and thus write a more contributing post.
There are many such members who are willing to deliver many statemens related to meriting policy but they themselves have not been contributing to this system well like not getting any merits due to zero good contribution to the forum or not sending merits. So the best is exchange of knowledge and merits as well to grow on the forum. There could be your personal way of giving out merits but it's more important to give and earn them in efficient manner.

2012  Other / Meta / Re: [Results 2021] Bitcointalk Community Awards 🏆 on: March 28, 2022, 09:08:50 AM
First of all congratulations to all the winners of the Bitcointalk community awards 2021 who have also got some exciting prizes this year which is impressive.Secondly thanks to @icopress and @GazetaBitcoin for organizing and managing this event in effective manner making the members engage in this time to vote for.It literally feels like having awards ceremony like the Oscars but for the forum members.

Those who have contributed well enough for the community in different ways have earned their rewards for it but it's not like those who have missed the opportunity are not good because there are so many members who might not be on that winning list but as forum member we know their tiredless efforts to make forum learning library. So be happy all with the results.

The another issue which I am seeing is privacy related but yes there are many of us who will prefer being anonymous rather than revealing their indentity for these prizes but it's after all our personal choice and if they don't want to compromise with it like @o_l_e_o has said it's completely fine and we should respect it.I also remember when the BitcoinTalk Show suggestions were asked i said about interview from top members but they have privacy issues which we should accept as it is same for me also.

So will see who is going to have this main VIP tour from sportsbet.io this time?

Regarding myself, second year in a row without winning anything. Last year I was close to the top, this year I was nowhere close to getting a prize. Shame on me, I need to work more for the “bitcoin geek” category (the category where my results where less awful.
Feel bad for you and was hoping that you will be winning in any one of the category but as a joint bitcointalk community we all share common base and these rewards are at secondary but our main priority is to make this forum better place and keep up the same good work we are doing.

You have been contributing so much towards bitcoin like sharing lot of useful stuff so you are also bitcoin geek man for us so cheer up and like your competitive spirit that you want to improve yourself more and be on that list.

Hopefully next year the competition will be bigger, funnier and louder!
Icopress, you get to be ready!
And my instincts tell you will be getting some tours next time the awards results are out if you are football fan and Steve has the same VIP prize next year.So cheer up for you and all the winners  Wink

Winners from 2 basket

Was just outside when I saw that i am one of those five lucky players form second basket getting some exciting rewards from Chipmixer and Free bets from Sportsbet and can't beleive my eyes but was filled with joy and happiness on seeing it.So thanks @icopress for organizing it and giving the extra opportunity to other members also in these tough times you are facing in your country. Also hope everything comes down to normal there and peace prevails again. But once thanks for these community awards.

I don't know, but why is mine bald? Shocked

2013  Other / Meta / Re: Questions About Acounts Ban Evasion on: March 28, 2022, 08:32:14 AM
Don't worry @OP because you have done your work well but now it's moderators work to take any action against them or not because you see daily there are hundreds of report submitted which is time consuming but they might also took a look at your reports.

If the IP address is banned, it will be blocked from rejoining the forum.
But if this IP address is allowed to rejoin the forum by paying an evil fee, that means the user has atone his sin with the evil fee payment, and therefore should not be punished for ban evasion again.
Not actually true because there are evil points associated with the IP address you are using and they are determined by your account getting banned. But there is problems with some users who might signup with the neighbouring IP address who have evils associated with it so you also have to pay the fees to sign up on the forum.

Quote
When you register, the IP that you used when you submitted the registration form is used to calculate your evilness. The more frequently this IP or its neighbors were banned, the more evil is associated with your account. The amount of evil associated with an IP decays slowly over time, but the amount of evil associated with an account does not. You must pay or be manually whitelisted to enable posting on one of these "banned" accounts.

Here are some stats:

Evil   % new users
0   53
0-1   35
1-10   4.4
10-20   0.80
20-50   2.2
50-100   1.3
100+   2.9

Currently each unit of evil requires a payment of 4023 satoshi. You only need to pay something if you have 1 or more, though.

But there are ways through which you could be whitelisted like this one from @LoyceV where your proxyban could be removed without paying any evil fees

Remove Proxyban (evil fees) - email to get whitelisted for free

If you want more information on this topic then this thread is helpful for you: Units of Evil, copper membership & list of copper members

The rules on bans are simple, if a member is banned, then the are not allowed to create another account on the forum, doing that is an evasion of the ban and would lead to a ban if discovered.
Yes but sometimes they try to evade the rules because as per the rules if your account is banned on the forum then you could only create ban appeal thread in Meta section to convince the members and if mods find it suitable it could be removed. But if you participate in other conversations your account will get banned also. They need to follow the rules.

2017  Economy / Economics / Re: One Alternative To High Gas Prices, The Electric Scooter on: March 26, 2022, 11:17:16 AM
This is an interesting thing to share the views upon as the gas prices has been grown to reluctant levels to double digits EV's are becoming the top priority of many people around the corner and this market is growing at really unexpected levels in almost every country. We could see there are some pros and cons related with these categories of e-scooter,bikes and cars but more problems could be there of small bikes.

They are currently operational in many countries and the number is growing continuously like in the US, Germany, Belgium and all other parts and these pictures are common to see in some developed countries where people or say at this time most of the teenagers are seen riding these e-scooters on thr streets :

If you wish to find out for each country then here is really helpful guide for you all to study: E- scooters around the world

But what are the problems related with it :

1) As above said there are safety issues concerning them because you need to have balance over them and not enough Strong to pushback any outside force like hitting of the vehicle from any side

2) The top speed is mostly limited to 20mph and you can't go on for long trips on them which is another drawback.

3) The seperate lanes for them needs to be developed so they can travel hastle free as there are other vehicles in which they cannot roam around easily.

4) The battery exhaust after few trips and you need to charge them as they don't have any long life and needs replacements

5) Suitable for single rider only

But there are positive aspects also for these rides which we all know like :

1) Cheap cost then our traditional vehicles running on gas

2) Maintenance costs and their size is small which is much beneficial for them to ride upon.

3) Your health remains fit if you are riding these small scooters across the street.

Talking about the global share then these are biggest players involved in this market or say investors which have big share in them :

This market is way beyond than what we are expecting it to be and the returns or say CAGR is expected to grow at much bigger level than what we have anticipated.

Quote
The eScooter market will worth nearly $41.98 billion by 2030, as per the study by Grand View Research Inc. Due to this rise, the market will face a boom in CAGR by 8.5%.

Quote
As per a report, the global sales of electric scooters and bicycles are expected to reach 129 million units by 2028. In 2019, the electric scooters sales was near 46.89 44.39, which grew to 50 in 2020. This gradual growth tells us the incessantly growing demand for the eScooter services

The expected growth is at this level :

Source: E-scooter trends

But still there needs to be wide adoption but keeping in mind various factors we could say that EV cars would be in much use as all the major players like Ford,Tesla,Audi and others will develop more sustainable cars for the future maybe alternate to electricity also but the need of hour can help us with these scooters so if you wish to have one it's worth it.

2019  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Did you share your key to your family? on: March 26, 2022, 09:08:49 AM
I have told my family members already about the funds I am holding and they also are familiar about it's usage so it's not a problem for me but the seed phrase have been stored safely with backup at some places out of which one is known to them but the key always remain with me to that storage. In the time they can use those funds in a way they find suitable.

But the thing is you keep them safe in much better way so the backup of the seed is never in wrong hands like if you don't have anyone to trust then keep the secret buried in your heart.

Your lost coins will make others more expensive so keep this in mind.

I would never share my keys with my family. First of all, these keys are mine, and I would like to keep them personal for as long as possible. Second, no one in my family understand what crypto is, how to use it and so on. Sharing keys to them will be dangerous. Same as leaving private key on a bus stop.
I would disagree on this part because there seems to be some trust issues on your part as comparison of family members can't be done with strangers you met on bus stop. You can give lessons to your any family member like how to use wallets and what are seed phrases so in case they need it they can easily use it.

Life is totally unpredictable so it's better not to burn your coins and tell any of your family members about it so if you are not able to use it they can for their betterment.
2020  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase the most anti-Bitcoin organisation. Make #DeleteCoinbase great again on: March 26, 2022, 08:51:55 AM
Coinbase confirms itself a pro-government organisation, even if they ask them aggressive actions against their customers:
Today this picture was all over Twitter:
Yeah just witnessed these pictures of Canadian customers receiving this email from Coinbase where you need to disclose the information above $1000 CAD to anyone like the recipient which has shattered the privacy issues and people are against this. But we might be familiar with these behaviour of exchanges who in order to run abide by these rules and become puppets of the federal agencies more likely operating for them. They have said it is implemented due to the Canada's FINTAC
rules covering these transactions but this is stupidity because where is the privacy?

But wait there was not much of privacy things over coinbase early also as they were selling out the personal information of the users to some companies and DEA to track their transactions records also, denying user withdrawal request many times. If you Google about it then you would also know privacy issues with them. But now they have gone one more step ahead becoming government agents.

They have stated the  requirements of additional information also which is beyond imagination like seriously they want name, address and above it some more so no fun of using these services.

If you leave your coins on an exchange, you leave yourself exposed to those aggressive practices.
That's well said and never trust these exchanges for your funds because they are now being operated under central monopolies of which we need to be freed. Moreover not your keys not your coins is for these exchanges.

Canadian government is now on a dystopian berserker after the “trucker incident”.
 Actually, honey badger doesn’t care.
Actually they are also not able to freeze the bitcoin donations being sent for the truckers convoy protest worth millions of dollars so now they are cracking up new things to put some peer pressure but will end up with nothing in their hands. So let them try with all these coinbase tricks and we might see user downfall in them.
