2081  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tilt in gambling on: April 11, 2023, 10:41:35 PM
I never thought I would enjoy gambling) I remember playing cards for change with my cousin as a child, it was very funny when she lost, fell on the table and shouted that it was all mine) Grin
Kids shouldn't gamble but how old were you guys during that time?
I agree with you Children should not gamble!  I think children even in simple games are very gambling, take an innocent game - Get the toy out of the machine, the child will not leave until he gets his way, even though he does not need it at all.  When we played cards we were about 8 years old, it was an innocent game to me, but my sister loved money)
Okay.

Children thinks that it's ok to do such because they don't recognize that they're gambling. I have my own story as well and basically that's under on the teenager and legal age days.

And I think we all have our fair share stories about gambling during the old times and those were the days we're all young and curious. No pressure and no obligation. But as we grow older, a simple lose and struggle of getting a win is tilting us easily.
2082  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bybit P2P Exchange Scam Modus on: April 11, 2023, 07:14:32 PM
I think that SMS poofing can be done by anyone or any scammer can easily pay for the software that can send text messages and they can name it with anything that they can just as the Gcash.

While for the trust rating of that person where you've dealt with. That 10 transactions can even be only him, it's likely that it's also him that used others identities to verify his account there and make it look like genuine transactions for him to leave those few good trust rating.

Like you've mentioned, always check everything if money was sent to you actually and don't just rely on text messages as source of notification but check your wallet app if it really got the money.
2083  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tilt in gambling on: April 11, 2023, 05:52:45 PM
Have you experienced tilt over the long game?  How have you dealt with it?
That's pretty normal to be tilted when we do something that we're passionate about and the result isn't in our favor. Dealing with it is not easy for many because it's an attitude that you cannot control if you're not used to it. But when it does happen to me, I deep breath and drink some water and that's it.

How do you think you can gamble with a cool head, and how do you make yourself a good brake inside)
Before gambling, you need to set yourself that you'll not be hot headed because it won't give you good luck.

And why do people in general like to gamble? ?
Profit for everyone, entertainment, to enjoy and have fun but there goes those that have been staying in gambling as their bread and butter.

2084  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin breaking the biggest limit since match price push on: April 11, 2023, 10:55:49 AM
$29600 as of writing now.

While there were some positive actions that can be seen to bitcoin and the push that has been made just now. I still see some of those predictions from outside the forum that they're still waiting for $10k.

If they continue to wait, then they are going to lost their battle, because the chances are slim for bitcoin to hit $10k, in my opinion. We may have seen the lowest low for all we know for this bear cycle. And we have been trading sideways for the last 10 days, and now there is a big uptick in the price, and we might see $30k for this month or even higher if this bullish sentiments and FOMO continue.

As for the CPI report, speculators are hinting that the Fed will end it's series of interest rate hike.

If this is the case, the most likely, Bitcoin and the rest of traditional market is going to really because of this positive news.
That's also what I think because these people have been dying hard to wait that price to come, they've been all talking negatively and frustrating feelings of those that can read their "TA".

Bitcoin just hit $30k again and this is a celebration for everyone that has been waiting to see its price to be back at it again at that level.

Now that we already broke $29,000. By that, I am very positive for the short term that we can easily reach the $30,000 - $31,000 level.
I can say that these are healthy pumps because, for the past few days or weeks, we really did sideways and battling the $26,000 - $27,000 support level.
It just did got $30k this day and kinda stuck to that price. Well, that's so demanding if I say kind of stuck there if it has just been there. LOL

Like, I know that it's possible and bitcoin is too volatile that it can go as high as it can and go down more than what we're expecting. But realizing the situation now and cycles, it's very unlikely that we may see that falling on that price ever again.
2086  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: April 10, 2023, 07:33:02 PM
Day 1 is all set and done for the DreamLeague Season 19. Groups A and B matches still has 3 days left remaining until we go to the next level which is the Group Stage 2.

And after the group stage 2, we head to the playoffs and finals. Group Stage 2 will take 7 days in the process so this is gonna be a long group stage but with this, we'll see how teams have prepared well for this because it's a mental draining process for all of them.

All information are posted here --> https://liquipedia.net/dota2/DreamLeague/Season_19

And whoever wins this DL S19 goes to Riyadh Masters which has a $15M prize pool.

DreamLeague does not have a small pot either, the prize pool is 1 Million dollars. But the real prize is getting qualified for Riyadh Masters. Riyadh has upped their game. I think last year, the prize pool is just 4 million USD and now it is 15 million. That is a big leap from their first tournament. I guess DOTA is quite profitable for them.
It is and I think there's something to do with the crown prince there as you guys have known, whenever there's a battle pass he's buying a lot of it as if the amount and level isn't costing him much. Well, he's a prince and that's why I guess he's the most influential person to bring a Dota 2 tournament in their country.

Team Secret will always have a personal style of playing the meta of Dota 2 heroes and I'm sure they will promote into Division 1 this year and then , I hope they won't relegate anytime soon.
IIRC, there was this season that they weren't able to get on TI correct me if I'm wrong. But sure is their playstyle is different from most teams but in the pro scene, they're not really unique at all.

Meanwhile , I do see why Execration are dominating China DPC.
Execration is part of SEA not China and currently they're playing in the DreamLeague and after that, they'll fly to Berlin major.
2087  Economy / Economics / Re: Quit borrowing on: April 10, 2023, 05:20:40 PM
Borrowing is addicting if the purpose isn't being put into a good use. But there is what call, good debt and this is applicable for businessmen. It's not like you'll borrow to buy bitcoin, that's totally a wrong thing.

You as a borrower have already a good source of income and that will be your main requirement in borrowing, to get a better cash flow and to expand your business which seems to be truly profitable. The banks are going to allow you to borrow but with a limit and this is what business people are doing.

But if you're someone who's borrowing money to buy needs like gadgets, expensive travels and vacation and yet you're not earning that much. That's just irresponsible way of borrowing, yeah, YOLO and you deserve better but that's not the type of description of borrowing to me.

So as a newbie I am, can I tell people about Bitcoin or will I get into danger if I introduce people to Bitcoin investment and they lost their little capital?
If after your introduce it has come to investing and these people started buying bitcoin and then saw that the value is going down, then yes.

They might blame you for their losses and it had happened to many and that's why many from the community don't want to introduce it anymore and just good advocating it online.

Although it differs the situation and maybe people in your neighborhood are kind and excited to know more about it, you can fairly say that it's part of the journey and show them proof that this how bitcoin moves at most times.
2090  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in times of danger. on: April 09, 2023, 09:45:18 AM
While for sure there will be people that will feel the regret on you and even you, it cannot be hidden. What matters most is you are able to spend and sold that with a very important thing that you have to address.

You do not need to feel bad about selling it even if we all know that bull run is about to come soon. What you need to think of is profit is profit.

It has helped you in emergency need and you will be forever grateful with that and it will become a memory soon that no regrets and you just did the right thing.
2091  Economy / Economics / Re: Al Transforming Job Market on: April 08, 2023, 10:03:18 PM
Bad news as it may seem, but we people have the best skills and abilities and one of it is to adapt.

And with such rapid changes and innovation with certain technologies like AI. Things will be eventually normal when we've already adapted the phases and changes.

We may lack of skills for now on how to maneuver and maximize the usage of it but eventually we'll get there for sure like being in the AI, machine learning, automation, etc. are going to be simple jobs in the future as if data entry in the past.
2092  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Every Bitcoin Purchased is a Vote for Decentralization!! Poll on: April 08, 2023, 08:47:35 PM
All of you've said are correct but what if it goes like this?

Every bitcoin purchased is a vote of confidence to this technology and its future.

And that is because not everyone will just waste money these days to buy something that they have no confidence at all and as we know, there have been more people came to the market during the start of the pandemic and even now that there have been big investors in the form of financial institutions.

Because these financial institutions are for centralization and that's the system they're following on, does that mean that they're voting for decentralization? I guess not but they're buying it mainly for profits and that's a confident move for them like Microstrategy because they're very optimistic and trusting to its future.

Anyway, have you seen the video that Ame cried in Somnus and telling sorry that he failed him to win TI8 because his morph was "noob" as he said? Ame still thinking of that and haven't moved on yet all of these times, now I understand why Ame is like after all of those years.

It had given him sort of traumatic experience. How I wish that they've won a TI.
I did see that clip earlier today and to be fair he was drunk when that happened so it was understandable, but it does feel bad when you look back at that moment since they were so good during that time yet they fumbled at the final hurdle.
It was a horrifying experience for him that he's still bringing it until now. Yeah, he may be drunk but I think the thought of his that he's thinking that he failed somnus and his whole team is still ticking on his mind.

I also want to see them win a TI but I think it'll never happen or there's a little chance they'd go back because now they're likely earning more money through streaming.
Yeah, it won't happen anymore. Somnus has retired, so just as ame and then the rest of the original PSG.LGD roster during TI8, together with fy.

Well who knows if these players will still play for some fun and accidentally manages to get a spot on the division 1 and then road to TI. Just a fun thought but yes, it's more unlikely to happen.
2094  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does it take to become a Bitcoin investor on: April 08, 2023, 05:34:33 PM
Buy bitcoin and that's what it needs to be to be called a bitcoin investor. You won't be a bitcoin investor if you hold Ethereum or any other altcoins.

There's no need to complicate things to understand and there's no need for any technical aspect needed to be understood by having means of that.

And as you invest in bitcoin, you understand that this isn't just eenie meenie miney mo. But there's a responsibility on your own that you have to take care of your bitcoins.

By means of that, not just in risk aspect but also responsibility on how you're keeping it and as you know, you should be the one holding your private keys and not the exchanges.
2095  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: New virus & malware automatically empties crypto exchange accounts on: April 07, 2023, 11:06:56 PM
The virus comes from a browser extension, this is a common trick scammers use to gain access to our devices. When browsing on the internet we should adopt safety practices;
• Do not allow unverified extensions, if there's an alternative avoid them entirely,
• Do not click unverified links,
• Do not download random apps from appstores or PDF files which can contain malwares,
• Use an ad blocker to protect against pop ups.
I think the shortcut on this one for those non-technical people is the first one and that's to not download any extension that they're unfamiliar with. And even they're familiar with what they're downloading, they need to look at it first and see if it's from the official service and company that they want to download.

I guess the most common thing on this imitation will be from Metamask users. It's a very popular browser extension and wallet and it has a lot of users and keeps on adding more.

As a crypto user the ultimate safety hack is keeping your stash off exchanges and permanently offline. This way they cannot be hacked.
I agree, but no matter how many times we remind everyone. It is a personal choice that they think is less of the hassle because they can trade on an instant without doing deposit/withdrawal waiting time.
2096  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: sinbad-mixer.io is this a clone site? on: April 07, 2023, 09:04:33 PM
Great find.

We all know how hot the mixers are today and with a bunch of it having their signature campaigns in the forum, that adds more popularity in them and one of them is sinbad.

This is likely a scam website that tries to ride on sinbad's popularity. Anyone who's going to use and deposit on them is likely to receive nothing and that deposit is gone forever.

It can also happen into other mixers that these scammers will have their eyes on.
2097  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: April 07, 2023, 07:37:06 PM
I recognize BetBoom as a strong team. Btw, have you noticed the name of ramzes' team named "EX-HR?" The roster have been dropped by the org and said they'll no longer be able to support their Dota 2 team. Well, everytime ramzes jumps into a new team, it dissolves.
I also thought BetBoom is strong but they're starting to look overrated when they can't produce the best results despite having the best players in every role.

From what I've heard why HR dropped them it's because the org wasn't actually in charge of the dota roster and on top of that some teams including TSM are likely to release their teams so that means the dota squad is most likely included even though they're finding success in the NA DPC. Anyway, it's only a matter of time until another org picks these two up since both of them finished first place in their region.
Yeah, it's better to have some org on their back so that they won't be problematic about expenses and they can just focus on games. That's the reason why many teams and players want to be in an org because they carry most expenses and at the same time, they all have got the resources.

Anyway, have you seen the video that Ame cried in Somnus and telling sorry that he failed him to win TI8 because his morph was "noob" as he said? Ame still thinking of that and haven't moved on yet all of these times, now I understand why Ame is like after all of those years.

2098  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Airbnb Crypto Project - Concept notice on: April 07, 2023, 11:05:52 AM
I have already thought of this idea if AirBNB is going to launch some good news about accepting payments in bitcoin. IMHO, with good projects that has the potential like yours, it doesn't need to have and make any new tokesn for you to go along with these innovations, acceptance and adoptions for bitcoin or entirely crypto payments.

What's a better approach to this idea is just to contact airbnb and be the source of this idea about accepting payments in crypto and have it worked by a third-party service upon booking to their website or offer a service that you'll be the source for that conversion and just hand over them the cash minus the deduction of your service commission fee.

If I'm one of airbnb executives and understands the concept of bitcoin first and then other potential cryptocurrencies that it's quickly convertible into cash which is what they prefer, then I might take a shot but not with any random and new tokens.

I understand your point, it's certain that the user will prefer to receive btc or eth than a new currency, it's completely understandable!
Airbnb has already mentioned its idea of wanting to make payment in cryptocurrency but I think with everything that has happened in recent months FTX / Terra . The United States are angry against cryptocurrencies and they are making it known right now. Also France my home country is starting to make anti cryptocurrency laws that does not bode well for Gafam. If he decides to implement the payment in crypto I think that the different states would be against after to see ...
These regulators really are a big problem in terms of innovation. But we can't blame them because of the fiasco that has FTX has brought and also the other projects like Terra, etc.

Anyway, it's nice that you've understand my point and I wish no harm to your project and even wishing you a success by working hard on it.

You know where you're going and coming from and this is an important point when you're working on a project and is very open to the ideas of the others that's being shared to you.

Welcome to the forum and also congratulations with your initiative for investing in bitcoin. While I give you applause for doing that, but it made me sort of worried about what you've said guaranteeing your parents telling them by December you'll have more, and they gave you additional money to invest again.

I think this is a wrong approach to say that you're guaranteeing and giving timeframes on when you shall profit because nobody knows how and when the bull run will start. The market is volatile and no one can predict accurately if by that time it's going to be a better month for bitcoin. Although in the past, we've seen runs that have been so good at the end of the year.

But as said, we don't know if by that time it what will be as you've expected. Explain to your parents also the risk of investing in bitcoin and what it is with volatility and you should be patient while waiting for that time to come.

Nevertheless, if you're short term and you're foreseeing out of the market by December I think that will change.  Cheesy
