In Switzerland the capital gains are not taxed if you are a person (as opposed to a company).

2103  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it true that 90% of current Bitcoins are owned by 50 people? on: November 29, 2013, 07:15:28 PM
List in inaccurate.. plus you don't think transactions and wallet splits like this aren't common? Such as these..  First address has 20,000 bitcoins split between 200 different addresses with 100 bitcoin in each... the second address recently split off into the third and placed 5000 bitcoin between a number of wallets.

i never said the list was up to date and accurate
i dont even know who compliled it

but if it were ever true it would reflect  that a vast amount of BTC wealth is controlled by a  not too large minority of persons in the community
2104  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it true that 90% of current Bitcoins are owned by 50 people? on: November 29, 2013, 06:11:52 PM

Remember that its possible quite a few of those addresses may have been lost.

you can see the date the top 50+ richest addresses were last accesed
(most  or almost all of them within this month, many just yesterday or even today )

2107  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The world will not use BTC. on: November 29, 2013, 10:39:36 AM
The chinese government is going to ban all vendors from doing transactions with BTC. Its already in the works, look it up at google.hk

Also, alot of you people who have this idea. That bitcoins will be used as a medium for transactions throughout the world are very wrong.

FYI- The Internet is about to be broken up, and not interconnected with the world soon.

Alot of you members havent heard about this, and the news media hasnt even talked about it.

But after the NSA spying scandal. All governments throughtout the world are building there own INTERNET system, seperated from the USA internet.

The world wide web will be dismantled in the next.2-3 years, so it will be impossible for BTC to be used
  from country to country.

Each country will control of its own internet. So this dream that BTC will be used for.transactions.everywhere is dead.

Souce-

if the world will not use bitcoin ,send as many as you like to me then

2108  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi: The first anonymous USD Billionair on: November 28, 2013, 03:14:23 AM
Satoshi never existed. No one currently holds anyway near a billion USD in Bitcoins. (For that they need to have 1 million BTCs, which is near impossible).

I seriously doubt whether any individual hold more than 100,000 BTCs. Winkelwii might be the topomost... but even they don't have anyway near a million BTCs.

if you look at the 500 richest wallets there appaers to be at least 4 owned by the same individual or group numbers,i noticed numbers  13 through to 16 have the exact same amount in them down to the very bitcent  and were all last accesed on the same day  within about 3 minutes of each other (9th april if i remmeber correctly )

that could be satoshi's coins devided between several wallets to attract a bit less attention than having one gigantic wallet with an epic balance in it Smiley

This thread has come true for many many people (who have cashed out lol)

Remember - it aint real until its actually in your hands ....

And getting it there isn't super easy.

And Uncle Sam is going to rape you for 20-30% of it ...

Mo money Mo problems ...

Only 20-30%?

God, you US citizens are lucky bastards. I won't tell you the amount of raping that gets an European declaring capital gains of +6 figures - you would cry.

He was lowballing it, anyone who makes a million USD or more usually loses 50% if they try to take it in a lump sum.

Nope, that's income taxes.  Increases in the value of an asset (such as bitcoins owned) is capital gains taxes, which is 20% MAX and normally in the 10 to 12% range in the US.

I'm crying. Really. You don't even know how lucky you are.

there may be some way to cash out internationally in china ,eastern europe or  russsia if you dont mind and reduce your taxes
down to about zero and transfer the money to a tax free haven ,(quick  google check says  there are several )
this may or may nor be legal depending on which country you reside but if you have a lot of BTC  you can also buy citizenship in a lot
of other countries that dont have such taxes

Never to return.

if i had enough coins id have no problems moving to china for awhile to cash them Cheesy
open a chinese bank account and you can withdraw money anywhere with  the atm card
without losing 40-50%

The dude could have be holed up in his parents basement, wearing dirty underwear and popping pills.  Truly amazing they have managed to amass so much wealth and their identity remains not publicly known.  That fact alone is a testament to the power of Bitcoin and an example of one of the many ways in which it is going to change the world.

if he has over a billion dollars worth ,i wonder what his exit strategy is
how do you cash a billion dollars worth of btc ?
2112  Economy / Speculation / Re: Taking a loan to buy bitcoin on: November 27, 2013, 06:45:01 PM
I borrowed $ in the 200's because I wasn't satisfied with my position and knew we would obliterate 266. I would be a lot more nervous about doing that now, but if you have the balls to hold it long term I'd say go for it.

Of course, I'm young and have no dependents. If bitcoin somehow fails my life will not end.

if everyone had the "balls " to hold it long term and nobody spends any at the retailers that are accepting it
i dont see how it can succeed as a currency

everyone cant just hoard coins and hope they will be worth millions at some future date
2113  Economy / Speculation / Re: Taking a loan to buy bitcoin on: November 27, 2013, 04:51:42 PM
where do you get your facts ? it could easily drop below $1000 at any time
2114  Economy / Speculation / Re: At what price would you stop buying BTC because the price is crasy on: November 27, 2013, 04:35:57 PM
it depends totally on the adoption which looks bright

if they are accepted globally in almost every store ,the skys the limit

when you can buy property, cars ,furniture and groceries etc without converting to fiat

it may actually  be a bargain someday to be able to buy  for $10,000 each
2115  Economy / Speculation / Re: what is your sell price in USD? on: November 27, 2013, 04:07:28 PM
id probbaly cash out for $10,000  each but i might feel differntly
if we reach that point rapidly and its still growing strong but i still
make as  many purchases in btc as i can because if everyone just hoards
it will become worthless anyway
2116  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Scammer: Matthew N. Wright on: November 27, 2013, 03:30:08 PM
