2101  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why Bitcoin still remains the leading cryptocurrency in the world. on: July 23, 2022, 09:25:08 PM
It is known over years and now that Bitcoin is a mysterious and some kind of digital currency that is not well known how come about and only the creators of it knows and control it and is a supernatural creature and it like is an idea or vision of the creators to control the planet after God.
Well, Satoshi don’t even have the control over bitcoin because it’s fully decentralized, and this coin is not mysterious but will always be unpredictable. And throughout its struggles over a decade, bitcoin is still dominating the crypto market because it has exceptional potentials that I think the rest of the other coins don’t have. And when we say bitcoin, it comes with a highly expensive price, but also expect for its highly valuable profits in the end.
2102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advice from a stranger on: July 23, 2022, 08:57:35 PM
Is it true that new altcoins are the best to invest in right now? Someone said you can easily make better profits from new projects than investing in old altcoins that have already x their values already, what do you think? Good or bad idea.
Partly yes. If the project is really good and has potential, then youll take advantage of being the early bird investor on that. But there are lots of projects that didnt survive because there is no product and use cases, even they got a new project they still failed to deliver and ending up losing investors fund.

But you cant go wrong on old projects that are just experiencing a mild bear scheme since we are on the consolidation phase. Still worth to invest if you find its price more appealing now.
I think once the project is promising, it will always meet the market demand and will sure to grow along with time. Regardless if its old or new, the most important is it can survive from the bear market and also grow along once the market returns to bullish. However, I would suggest to choose those old projects for investment as they have proven their utility cases, unlike new projects which we can’t be sure if they would end useful or useless in time.
2103  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Champions in this Bitcoin Winter on: July 22, 2022, 11:37:22 PM
What's interesting is I don't seem to see a website or company name on the billboard? They've just given this message, and that's it? That's kind of interesting, I thought they'd at least chuck their company name on it. I know there's a bit of text underneath that I can't quite make out, not sure if that's the local language, but even if they did put their company name there, you'd expect their branding to be just as big as the actual message, right?

I relate to the message though, I've had numerous conversations with several people who have been talking about buying Bitcoin for the last six/seven years, and they still haven't to this day, but bring it up at least once a year.
That’s what we call faith. Even if their brand or company name is not on the billboard, but the fact that the whole message is there, people will already understand and some will take the risk to get convinced. For me, those champions are mostly the people who take the risk investing in it while mostly believed that bitcoin is soon to collapse, and staying in the market without panicking even if they come to witness bitcoin continue to dump.
2104  Economy / Economics / Re: Avoid loan apps, a word of advice. on: July 22, 2022, 08:49:52 PM
Over the week, a friend and I had a conversation about loans and loan apps and she shared a bitter experience of how she was unable to write a very important exam because the money meant for payment of fees to qualify for that exam was deducted by a certain loan app that she collected money from a while ago.  Who will you really blame? My friend for not paying up as at when due or the loan app for not notifying her before the deduction.
In all, I advice that we should try to avoid any business with loan apps as they seem to be very numerous these days and are easily accessible. Most importantly, You should know that you are at the danger of developing a habit of borrowing from them if you patronise loan apps even for the smallest amount.
Loans are only helpful if you want rush money for emergencies and you have no other resources that can generate money. However, in situations where there is no necessary to take loans, then it’s better to avoid loans at all cost even through online or in physical lending companies. That way, you will not develop the habit of borrowing money knowing it’s yourself that is taken advantage, and that what you are doing is for them to make progress and become rich companies. In general, do not start taking loans if you think you will find it hard to leave that habit.
2105  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: You have not lost a dime if your Bitcoin is in your wallet on: July 21, 2022, 09:49:42 PM
This is purely for newbies in crypto currency and those who does not understand how Bitcoin works, and are always quick to cry when Bitcoin price drop below the price they bought.
Note: if you own 1 btc in your private wallet at a bought price of $40,000 and now the price is $20,000 per Bitcoin, economically you are at $20,000/lost at the moment if you have sold your Bitcoin but if you still hold you 1 Bitcoin the value still remains the same is just the price that have changed. So as long as you have your private keys to the wllet that holds the Bitcoin with the 1 bitcoin balance you have not lost a dime.
My cancel is this
Have a futuristic view and a long term perspective about Bitcoin, and don't sell out of panic of Bitcoin dollars value unless you are at gain.
Some sold at
1:  $69,000
2:  $50,000
3:  $40,000
4'. $30,000
5:  $20,000
All this people sold at different prices but their all sold only 1 Bitcoin.
Hodle hodle hodle is my language.
That's it, 1 bitcoin will always remain 1 bitcoin if you chose to hold it despite of the panic in the market. And you're not losing at all if you never attempt to sell your coin. However, this is not the case for everyone as they always thought that once the value has dropped already, then its already considered a loss. Yes, its a total loss if you stop hodling your bitcoin and decides to sell it on a lower value. But if you prefer to keep it hodling and only sell it when the value skyrocket, then your 1 bitcoin will eventually be worth more than the value of the previous 1 bitcoin.
2106  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Countries have banned Bitcoin; Do you believe is because of criminal activities on: July 21, 2022, 09:24:25 PM

Most countries are giving excuses and  reason for banning Bitcoin is because it can easily be used to fund crimes.
But I think they are afraid of losing control of their citizens' financial activities because they believe being the ones regulating financial activities makes them powerful.
What are your thoughts
You can't expect for the government to say good about bitcoin, they will always create FUDs that will scare and threaten the people to avoid bitcoin at all cost. However, this excuse existed already before and maybe has worked before since the people are not yet familiar with bitcoin. But now that bitcoin has become a mainstream, and has proven its usefulness in more than a decade, only those who believe from this excuse are those left naive and fools. Those who are already aware on the facts about bitcoin will never be fooled anymore.
2107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] Should Online Gambling be Banned? on: July 18, 2022, 09:56:40 PM
Of course no.

Adult people can decide what to do with their money. It is not the government's business. People should have the right to lose money. If online gambling is going to get banned, they should ban real life gambling too. There is barely a difference.

What we need is a better education system and less population. Without these, there will always be lots of losers.
Gambling has become more established these days as they are now backed with big authorities. So what's the reason of banning it? Just because of a heavy loss? That is why only adults are allowed to gamble because they can already perceive what's right from wrong. If they will gamble all their hard-earned money, then they should be ready for the consequences. Gambling is designed for fun and entertainment, if one gambler goes beyond it and exceeds on his limits, i guess that's already his own problem. The gambling companies should not to be blame for it.
2108  Economy / Gambling / Re: I miss the old OnChain gambling on: July 18, 2022, 09:25:02 PM
Those were the days and I've seen one before that no registration is needed and you just send your bet to the given address per user/guest that visits them.

Well, we have to embrace the changes as before the authorities don't look at crypto gambling as a legit thing and it looks like a game to them. Now that money talks and the value and worth of the entire market is huge, they now have to make rules that they'll have to require the casinos for their customers to follow kyc.
Everything changes, as businesses and gambling casinos these days have been more regulated to be more safe and secured not only for the operators alone, but also for the players. The authorities have seen this coming, and for that KYC has been more established and strictly imposed. Although some still prefer the old and traditional way of gambling, but in most of the new generation these days, they have learn to love the new ways of gambling.
2109  Economy / Gambling / Re: A New Era for Betting - (After Corona Circumstances) on: July 18, 2022, 08:50:46 PM
Considering the time when they played in empty stadiums and then how people were allowed with masks and vaccinations as well I do think that we have come a really long way.

The whole idea is making sure that people do not spread the virus but at the same time there are countries like the UK where it's spreading tremendously but they are still having matches normally, The epidemic have improved the sanitation and provided a new era for gambling and betting undoubtedly.

I do think we are as close as we are going to get to normality but the online betting sites are an excellent alternative to in-person bettering especially concerning with sports betting as well. They provide more offers, have more practical applications and at the same time have better winning percentages in certain areas, what not to love?
If this globally pandemic has brought tremendous effects on most of the physical games, well online betting has also been given a chance to flourish and succeed. You can just enjoy the game watching at the expense of your home. However, since we are now in new normal, football and the rest of sports games have started to be alive again gaining back the interest of the players and the audience themselves. Just never mind the masks and vaccinations as they will always be part of the new normal.
2110  Economy / Gambling / Re: Good gambling tipster on: July 18, 2022, 08:23:23 PM
No, I don't know him. He doesn't have a lot of followers to be famous. And I don't think he can beat the casino in the long run because gambling depends only on luck. If you're not lucky you can't win the jackpot. I advise you to search on popular channels because such people are always looking for new ways to deceive, so pay attention!!!
You can always have other preferences for your bets but you should not rely in them for your decision making. Remember that gambling can't be predicted, as its always a game of chance or luck. If you want to follow some influencers or youtube vloggers for additional ideas, then do it but never trust them fully as they can be sometimes one sided. Always consider the game's statistics as it could be more convincing than relying your luck to some people's views and ideas.
2111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Teofimo Lopez vs Pedro Campa - Aug 13 on: July 18, 2022, 08:04:53 PM
Pedro Campa is very dangerous opponent for him besides he was adjusting on the weight, His opponent has a lot of experience and has a good previous record prior to this upcoming match. This is indeed a good fight because they are both a good hitter type boxer but I’m just concern to Lopez career after this match if he lose again to another dangerous boxer. He just suffer a terrible lose and this will be bad to his career once he lose once again.
I'm sure Lopez has prepared for it, but i think he's still be the underdog this time as majority of the audience will likely to end in favor with Campa. Lopez has endured losses prior to this fights, and if he will not improve his skills in the ring especially that Campa is not just an ordinary opponent, then he will end up with another loss which will create more destructions on his career. Well, will find out soon when August 13 comes, if Lopez can be the new light-welterweight champion.
2112  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale Betting Strategy on BlackJack, how effective it is? on: July 18, 2022, 07:31:43 PM
People take it in different way. I personally see anything with gambling needs to be luck than skills to develop strategies. Even with blackjack, if the player is lucky he'll get the right cards after shuffle as well as while making a draw. So, there are more luck factors that decides the winning/losing. This happens even when you play well with good skills and strategies.
Gambling alone is a game of chance and luck. Whether players come to gamble with prepared skills and strategies, i don't think they can easily win bets without luck in them. Although there are games that are sometimes considered skill based, but in reality the fact that you gamble, you should have more luck other then skills for it to work. Martingale may increase our chances to win but its certainly very risky that it could be a source of your quick losses and leaves you empty handed.
2113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Ryan Garcia vs Javier Fortuna - July 16 on: July 17, 2022, 10:23:10 PM
I hope the fight bet Ryan Garcia vs Tank Davi will happen this end of the year.

I'm optimistic with that because I believe that Ryan Garcia will have no problem winning this fight.

Davis has the power and Ryan is impressive with his speed. They really need to face each other now and stop fighting the boxers below them. If Ryan can carry out his timing and speed against Davis he will likely win their match. The kid is impressive with his precise jabs against Fortuna. But if they are not going to make this Davis vs Garcia happen, boxing will just be a gag and easy win to bet for the crowd's favorite
Both will definitely create a very exciting and a very impressive fight if ever the fight will be granted in the future. With Davis being undefeated in all his games as he bulldozes through his opponents, and Ryan having its own legendary speed that defeated all his opponents, there's no reason that their fight should not be put in the ring. I would love to see the game really, as both undefeated legends will now be tested.
2114  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This clearly damage the gambling. on: July 17, 2022, 09:58:59 PM
Well fixed matches are everywhere sometimes the people who are actually competing decides to let go of their winnings to earn even more through sports betting, match fixing and they get sold off to rich people and that is why in many countries match fixing is considered illegal ofcourse, it would not only alter the course but would also make the whole idea of sports obsolete, there is something called team spirit, playing fair and square this i do think that it is essentially for the games to be fair and square. Max fixing is well known and also comes with a lot of damage and you can also go to the jail if you are found out, you also might not be allowed to compete again. Lets see what happens here.
It's a sad reality that even professional players have taken this step because there are tons of money to gain if they chose to let go of their winnings. I believe its always a malpractice but i don't think this will be easily given a solution since most of the people involved are also those who have big titles in the game. Instead of giving the game a fair play that the audience needs to witness, there are always under the table transactions that creates more impact than just being fair to it.
2115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Threshold of Loss in Gambling on: July 17, 2022, 09:21:31 PM
I can't remember how much it was but that's not that much compared to those actually addicted gamblers that would be fine losing $1k in just a single spin or roll.

the researchers found that gamblers are satisfied with small wins and will tolerate small losses but when they hit the threshold of loss, they will not play anymore.
Both are true, we're happy with small wins and that makes us content and want to gamble again sometime. And when we lose, it's the temporary halt that we have to make but after moving on, we'll gamble again from that loss.
As gamblers, losses are part in the game so even if we have endure a huge loss, the chance is we will still be gambling again not that we want to chase the losses, but because we want to have more fun in gambling. Even if we say that we have reached already the threshold of loss, for me its very normal. After taking time to rest, then there will come a time that you're excited to gamble again with a small hope that you'll be lucky this time.
2116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Fengshui on: July 17, 2022, 08:57:18 PM
Quote
Feng shui is an ancient Chinese art of arranging buildings, objects, and space in an environment to achieve harmony and balance

But do you know that Fengshui is practiced and observed in gambling and in popular casino cities? even MGM and many hotels in casinos are following Fengshui, these are just some of the examples

Quote
the MGM Grand had to change its entrance, one that formerly forced customers to walk through the mouth of a lion (actually, under its chin, but close enough), deemed to be a very bad mojo by players from Asia.

Quote
The number Four is unlucky because it sounds like the Chinese word for “death.” This is why many hotels in Las Vegas skip floor numbers that start with the number four. The Rio Las Vegas, for example, is advertised as having 51 floors, but if you deduct the missing 40-49, it actually has just 41. The Encore is also missing floors 40-49.

Fascinating Chinese Gambling Superstitions

So you see even if everything depends on luck and circumstances there are many people even non-Chinese are following Fengshui practices.

How about you? Do you have Fengshui practice that you're observing when you are about to play or while playing
I do believe in Fengshui when it comes to attracting luck in my career and how to improve it. However, when it comes to gambling, i have never tried to gamble applying all my fengshui beliefs. For me, gambling is just something that is out of your control, even if you do your mantras before gambling, that don't make any guarantee to win. Well, not to offend those fengshui enthusiasts, but not all in fengshui have proven effective. Everything still lies into our own efforts, and in gambling, relying its own statistics are mostly the bases to win in gambling.
2117  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Gambling companies can get more uses to deposit. on: July 17, 2022, 08:38:29 PM

The key import things in there were :
1. Choice
2. Experience
3. Privacy
4. Preference

These are important but you have missing couple of other parameters which are very very important for the sustainability of an online casino,

1. Trust
2. Promo offers on deposits

A lot of crypto gambling people takes these two parameters as paramount while choosing a new crypto casino for themselves. Trust is very impactful parameter among all others because scams are rampant and anything can happen in an online environment without any regulatory body.
Reliability is a very important factor when choosing where to gamble. Players would likely to keep gambling on reliable casinos where they have build their trust after playing there for a lot of times. Since they have trusted the casino already, then there's no reason to find another place only to gamble. Also, these promo offers on deposits are important too since it will drive the interest of the gamblers, and also make the casinos more alive and very enticing to play.
2118  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are we going to recover or continue to dump? on: July 16, 2022, 09:54:12 PM
What are your current opinions on the cryptocurrency market?
My current opinion is today but the market has increased a little bit and all the markets have started to move upwards. But the market may be good soon, those of you who want to invest can take money and those who have invested earlier but today have a little profit. The cryptocurrency market will get better soon but if you want to invest you can invest in the market but there is a possibility of getting better.
Investing is best when the market is still in deep bearish because that’s how an investor can maximize his purchase since the prices are very cheap. However, when it comes to bitcoin, even if you start investing at a higher value, there are still guarantees that you will be a lot more profitable if you keep hodling it in the future. Good to see that the market starts to recover, I just hope that everything won’t fall in a trap and see them declining again.
2119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My old officemate become millionaire on investing on Bitcoin on: July 16, 2022, 09:36:54 PM
That's a nice story to hear. The takeaway for me was that unlike the others he held because he forgot about his investment. The irony being that he could of sold back in 2017 just below $20K and started his business many years ago, but that's beside the point really. The most challenging parts of hodling is not taking profits too early, selling too late, or failing to buy back. Forgetting about the investment certainly helps here!

Glad to hear he became a peso millionaire either way Cheesy
The story is indeed inspiring. Hodling is never that easy for all of us as it always tests our patience and our faith in crypto especially when there is market crash, that eventually makes our investments fall apart. If you have weak hands, the tendency is you will sell immediately your coins like his co workers did. But forgetting your investment, not checking the price often, is really helpful I guess. This story is something that has a very legit ending, that hodling alone can make you an instant millionaire if you also have faith on your investment.
2120  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: don't be fooled by titles. on: July 16, 2022, 08:48:08 PM
After reading how a forum user  Almost Gave Scammers Access To his wallet, there is a need to state how important it is not to be deceived or fooled by titles. This is an advice to newbies and some other forum users to not be deceived or fooled by titles. There is a tendency for someone to let his/her guard down when approached or contacted by another person with a title like Chief executive officer(CEO), Managing director(MD), Consultant, Project Manager, Business Development Manager, Investor, Forex trader etc. due to the fact that titles naturally accord respect to the individual who bears them. Do not be deceived, scammers can easily bear these titles to have an advantage over you.

Don't let your guard down.
It just proves that sometimes titles can be deceiving too, that even scammers can use highly appointed names just to lure everyone and gain their trust. I guess the best thing we can do here is always take caution before doing important transactions like money transfers. As much as possible, make a background check first and do research on the person you wish to deal or transact with.
