1181  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 5 Things I've learned day trading Bitcoin for 3 years (successfully) on: April 06, 2023, 09:34:32 PM
They say when you’re in trading, never trust anyone but only yourself. Never trust others to do your trades because  it will never bring advantage to you but will only make you as a useless trader. However, listening to some crypto influencers might not be bad at all, you just have to weigh things right if they can be trusted or not. At the end of the day, it’s not them who will lose but only yourself.
Listen and learn what is worth and don't follow any given investment advice or crypto buying advice. there are some influencers who do provide good crypto education for beginners and some only suggest buying certain coins. Filtering the influencers you follow might be better, so that you get more and more useful information.
With constant research, you will know which of those influencers are highly educational or are not helping you at all. At the end of the day, it’s you who will finally decide whether to take their decisions or not. But I believe it will help you grow as a trader if you provide your own strategies and work on it. Trading is risky, that’s why you have to trust yourself more than anyone else.
1182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do women engage in crypto trading on: April 06, 2023, 08:57:19 PM
I don't know if this is a question or an answer, but trading is not gender biased; it is not exclusive for men or women as it was made to give us all equal opportunity to earn profit, and the truth is that you can see that there are a couple of women that are more successful than men because they are more disciplined and follow their rules before they trade. I really like following some female traders on social media because they are good at recognizing their biases.
Exactly. Trading is not just limited to men as both men and women have equal opportunities to trade and earn significant profits. But it’s undeniable that there are higher population of men who are into trading than women but that does not mean that women are incapable to trade. There are still quite number of women who have made successful trades because of their high determination and eagerness to trade and earn valuable profits.
1183  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to use crypto to miximize profits through sport betting. on: April 03, 2023, 07:12:50 PM
Do you want to maximize your profits while betting on sports but don't know where or how to start? Crypto is rapidly going traction as an investment opportunity, and now you can use digital currency while playing all type of sport betting
Yes, it's true that everybody wants to maximize profits while betting on sports, but the truth of the matter is that its not always easy as we think, as it requires high skill with luck for anyone to make huge profits from sport betting.
So do you have any strategy that you will love to share to the Bitcoin community? As that will be a pleasure if you could share and show proof that what you claim to offer is not fake.
I though OP might include giving some strategies on how to maximize profits with crypto. But whatever it is, I believe sports betting profits can only be maximized if you have the knowledge and skills on the players or teams that are playing and of course the luck so that you will attract positive vibes to win. Otherwise, a single strategy will never work no matter how good you are at it as long as you’re not lucky enough to win and make profits.
1184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: April 03, 2023, 06:35:30 PM
If I'm not mistaken, we have a thread here: It's on! 2024 US Presidential Election Biden+Harris Vs Trump Bitcoin betting....

And yes there are many sites that also cater for this kind of betting. However, I'm not into this kind of betting though, not my type, but I don't have any agaisnt those who are willing to make a bet on US Election or any election for that matter. There is no one size fits all type for gamblers.
I also don’t feel this kind of betting as it’s like I am wagering on a person that could make us suffer in the future. No offense but election nowadays is like a business, if you don’t put a big capital on it, it will never win and prosper. However, there might be some of us here who will bet on this type of betting, and I respect them. It’s just that we also have different preferences when it comes to gambling.
1185  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: On which Sports do you like to bet apart from the the listed one here? on: April 03, 2023, 06:14:23 PM
For me, it has always been football, though I do sometimes touch on tennis and basketball, and maybe occasionally on UFC, but my major sports of focus when ever I bet is football.

I love racing as well, like auto or bike racing, formula 1 and the likes, but I must admit that I've never betted on this games ever since I began gambling, and this is simply because I hardly have time to follow up on this type of sports, doesnt make sense placing bets on sports I don't really know much about.
Football has always been the most popular topic in the forum, and I agree that most of us here are football fanatics. So I definitely bet on it, and even in basketball too. However, I also want to include boxing even if it’s not on the list. Boxing has also been the talk of the forum and I also keep on betting on it, but only to those great players that I know, not on those players that I have never watch them playing inside the ring.
1186  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What could be the Symptoms of Getting Loss in gambling According to you? on: April 03, 2023, 05:57:09 PM
What do you mean what could be the symptoms? Basically if you lose in your session in gambling, that's already a loss. There's no "according to you" difference. It's going to be always "when you lose money" is getting loss. There's no other thing about it.

Once you can accept that, then that's probably the moment you would win. Because you will try another day and you would not try to chase ALL your losses.
You should have known in the first place that once you start gambling, you are allowing yourself to lose and definitely to lose more, so just accept it because that’s how gambling should be. Otherwise, if you consider gambling as an entertainment, losing will be nothing because you have enjoyed your game, so it’s more of a profit than a loss. That’s the reason why we should always see gambling as an entertainment rather than a source of living, at least if we lose, it will not totally hurt us.
1187  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How honest and transparent are casinos? on: April 03, 2023, 05:43:20 PM
Does it have to be transparent?
The casinos decide what to do with their own money and who to give bonuses to. They want to make more money, who are we to judge them? Grin The gambling businesses aren't charity foundations, after all. They don't have any social and moral obligations(sad, but true).
I'm pretty sure the casinos will give "drops" and bonuses to the most hardcore gamblers, in order to keep them spending money on the casino.
There's no point giving away money and bonuses to new players, who might play once or twice and leave the casino after a while.

Exactly. Sometimes, being honest and transparent are only in the books, but if they really do execute then that’s way better. But I think what matters here is how they can be more profitable, and where they can be profitable. It’s their funds so they have all the right where to spend them, or if they really spend them or not. Bonuses are what we also find interesting in gambling, but of course the casino will only give them to those who are deserving players, those who have stayed for them and have wagered a lot for them.
1188  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Referral bonuses are waste of time on: April 02, 2023, 10:00:22 PM
Referral bonus tasks are not for everyone, most of these bonuses are calculated based on how much those you referred have deposited on the online casino or how many times they have played some games on the casino, gone are the days where all you have to do is refer people and as they sign up on the platform your referral bonus will be credited to you, for someone who has fewer friends that are into online gambling this is a waste of time like OP said, you are better off with other dividend opportunities available on online casinos.
Only people familiar with the referral link can get new people to join under it. They know how to find these new people and where to spread the referral link. But for people who want to learn how to spread referral links, you can also try it so they can find out that spreading referral links is not easy. And if they feel that it is difficult, they don't need to try it and it's better to play gambling as usual.
Well, everyone has still its freedom in gambling. You can make some referral bonuses and make an advantage on them later, but you can also just focus on your games and never mind people that are asking you for some links. With that, you are preventing yourself not to be blame in the future. It’s good to give referrals especially if that person will wager high because you’ll also benefit from it but be considerate also as to whom you are giving your referrals because they might not know how to manage their emotions the moment they start losing from gambling, same like be careful as to what kind of casino you are referring them to as it might be a non reputable one and they might only get scam when they start to deposit their money.
1189  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is Online casino always take risks? on: April 02, 2023, 09:37:22 PM
I am just curious about how does online casino pay for their promotion on their influencers? Where does their earning comes from? How will you get scammed when you try online casino? How can you tell that online casino is safe?
Online casinos are just physical casinos, they need more advertising and promotions so that people will notice them and develop interest on playing them, that’s why they make sure to secure big funds so that they can pay for those influencers who will promote their casino. And when that becomes a hit to the players, the casino will start earning their profits so they can provide more bonuses and promotions as well that most players would like to have. And in order not to be scammed from online casinos, make a research and find the reviews of the casino. Make sure to play on reputable casinos, most especially those who have sustain their long existence in the market, otherwise you will most likely be scam if you venture on new casinos online.
1190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin usage in crime activity. on: April 02, 2023, 08:37:45 PM
Bitcoin was never been anonymous in the first place, it's pseudonymous which mean no one know who's you, but anyone know your address, how much you have transacted and  how much your total holdings.

we don't want bitcoin to be associated with drugs and sex trafficking
We? or only you? I don't care if Bitcoin to be associated with drugs, money laundering, sex trafficking etc, as long as I don't use it for bad purpose, there's nothing I should need to worry. Ask yourself, can you make sure and verify if every fiat money you get from banks or other people are clean money which not associated with drugs and sex trafficking?

Money is money, there's no dirty or clean money.
I guess there’s nothing we can do about bitcoin being associated with illegalities, that will continue to happen as long as there are people who will always take advantage on bitcoin and ruin its reputation. Even in fiat, knowing it’s highly adopted and back up by the government, it’s undeniable that fiat is also involved in different illegal activities nationwide. So whether it’s bitcoin or fiat, both are still used as tools to commit illegal activities, but only bitcoin is being put in high restriction since it’s considered a threat in the government.
1191  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Shuichiro Yoshino April 8 on: April 02, 2023, 08:10:25 PM

Upset still possible but I can be more biased here since byt stats and by capabilities Shakur do have a huge advantage.

Not unless if Yoshino will get that lucky opening and throw a KO punch that will bring Shakur in the floor.

The chances of Stevenson getting knocked out are very low because we know how careful of a boxer he is. According to his stats, he is not a KO artist and yet remains undefeated. This means that he does not take unnecessary risks by going toe to toe and instead relies on his advantage, which is his quickness. Therefore, it is possible for him to get KOed, but the chances are close to none.
Well, looking at their individual stats, obviously Yoshino has bigger number of knockout wins than Stevenson, but I don’t think he will be easily knockout by Yoshino since we know that he’s more a fighter and warrior when it comes to the ring. But we can’t underestimate too the strength of Yoshino as he would never reach this far if he’s not good enough. So let’s just hope we’ll see a good fight then, and only then we can tell who’s going to level up and bound to fight a heavier opponent.
1192  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chasing looses Vs Finding closure: Any difference? on: April 02, 2023, 07:15:32 PM
Definitely not; chasing losses will give you the drive to continue playing in order to got back with what have you lose while closure is simply enduring losses and accepting that it is not your 'day'. On my end, it would be much better to set limits and seek for closure whenever you are losing than to seek for revenge. Being to eager to got back will put you at risk for bigger loss. On the other hand, being disciplined won't be achieved in an instant. It is normal to be eager for a comeback given how an individual give importance for losses. It would be easy to say taking a pause would be advantageous but as long as the drive is still there, it is where struggle would start.
Chasing losses will never give you a closure, but it will only make you lose more until you decide that gambling won’t give you some fortune and won’t definitely give you chances to chase your previous losses once more. So if you mean you’ll keep on chasing losses because you want to find closure from gambling, then it’s definitely not happening for all you know. If you want to put closure from gambling, then just stop gambling once and for all, and never try to gamble because you think you are lucky or you want to chase more of your losses.
1193  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Not about to give up hope. on: April 01, 2023, 10:28:34 PM
Am not about to give up hope, so should you.
•What ways have you exercised hope after setbacks or failure?
•What lessons can we learn from your experience?
In this case, giving up is never an option; the cryptocurrency market has been down for more than a year, but the interesting thing is that people are still buying Bitcoin despite the price drop.

Even though many Altcoins have collapsed along the way due to a lack of transparency and some personal issues that result in some people losing money in the process, people who understand the importance of and believe in Bitcoin continue to invest in Bitcoin because they believe it will rise above its ATH again.

The lesson I learned from the current crypto market situation is that there is always a chance for people who missed out on the early stage of investment, to get their investment now.
Quitting is never the best option here. Instead, move forward but with caution. Since we know that there might be unforeseen incidents that are inevitable, so we should be more wise and smart in choosing the path we should take. And that we should focus more on bitcoin seeing its more secure and safer than any other cryptocurrencies in the market. And when it comes to exchanges, learn to avoid centralized ones because if those will also crash in the future, that means our coins too has gone forever also.
1194  Economy / Economics / Re: Should you save, when you are wealthy? on: April 01, 2023, 09:59:35 PM
Definitely yes. Saving is very important most especially if you are very able to save because you have a lot of resources that generate you an income, so saving and safekeeping your funds is very vital. Otherwise, if we never care about saving because we always think wealth and fortune will always be there, so we might end up completely broke because of overspending. And in cases where unforeseen events might happen, then we can’t no longer prepare for it because we never save even a potion of our wealth, and so we end up struggling to earn some funds again.
1195  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 2years of trading! on: April 01, 2023, 09:43:11 PM
i was started trading 2 years ago, and i learned so many things and written some rules and tips that i learned after every trade,
i thought it is helpful to many of other traders, and also so many good quotes are there, read one quotes think understand move to other quote, and follow.
here : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OsNMJRRp-3qmZA81BuGJyHsCwKsOunWr/view
discipline is most important to trade like a robot, discipline matter more than winrate. I suggest this two books , 1. disciplined trader , 2. trading in the zone , if you can't afford these books then there are so many websites availed to download for free or you can watch summary on youtube 2 times .

Reading will help a lot in trading as you will acquire a lot of knowledge but how about the skills to trade? Certainly, traders need to be exposed and experience what is trading and the realities behind it, so we need to do actual trades so we will know what to do and expect when trading. With enough trading knowledge and experiences, you can always lessen the risk in trading and avoid much losses as well.
1196  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Paying bills with digital currency cards, gift cards on: April 01, 2023, 09:24:37 PM
I have only seen this type of application in a teaser. You would go inside the store, and there wouldn't be any other cashier, but you would immediately be recorded by the items you pick up, and it's being counted. It's exciting because I remember it as a concept before.

Can you share OP where you are and where you have encountered this? It makes life simpler and more accessible.
This one would totally be amazing and certainly fast without hassles, but never in my life i have encountered like this. Even in movies, I have not seen like this either. So tell me OP, where have you seen something like this? I think if things are just easy like these, life would be peaceful, and definitely simpler than ever.
1197  Economy / Economics / Re: How Long in Years Should I Wait Before I Close Down an Unprofitable Business on: March 31, 2023, 09:59:40 PM
How long in years should I go before I give up and close down a business that is unprofitable?

I was listening to a podcast where Kelvin O'Neal1 was featured. He said, "If you are not making money after 36months(3 years), you've gotta take a behind the barn and shoot it. It's just a hobby. It's not a business."

According to him, "people can get so stuck on a bad idea that they just keep thinking that if I keep working on it, it's going to fix itself. It doesn't fix itself. It was put on your journey to teach you, what not to do."

- To what extent do you agree or disagree with this assertion ?

-Have you had a business that even though it wasn't profitable in the first three (3) years, then it  kicked off to bring in good returns in the fourth (4th) year?

1 https://www.instagram.com/reel/CqVbhNCt0yF/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=
Probably, if the business never works from the start, then it’s hard to expect that it will still be profitable in the next months or years. However, if you change your strategy on handling the business, might as well that it may start working. This has happened to some businesses, at first there was seen no progress, but when there was a change of management, it started to work and prosper. But there might be some exception too. Like in business that was never in demand, or it’s not position wherein consumers are highly accessible, then mostly business like that will never make any chance to be profitable.
1198  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Skill Based Slot Machines on: March 31, 2023, 09:28:40 PM
They have the name Skill added to it but I don't see any skill can be applied on the slot to win the game, its just another round of spin so the chance matters here so its still zero skill and pure luck when it comes to slot. I think they use it to trick players by giving an extra round where the results are still going to be random and no skill to be applied with it.
There's no skill involved when you do pull out that level or pushing that roll button on which there's no way that you could be able to apply any strategy into it.This is why its not really that something possible to have this kind of skill based slot machine. If ever there's one would be created then i would be curious on how it would really be applied and it would be somewhat interesting if ever this one is possible.
I cant really think off on how this thing could really be that possible considering that slots are code generated and each roll is really something that it is really that totally random.
There's no way you could apply any tactics or ways on increasing your winning chance.
In the end, slots are still games of chance and luck. If ever there will be slot games that will be skill-based in the future, then maybe that’s something that we should look forward to but I can’t imagine as to how it will be possible. Slot games have nothing to do with skills, but if you can have the best luck when playing, you can always have the chance to increase your profits while increasing your chances of winning.
1199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you feel bad while paying with BTC? on: March 31, 2023, 08:40:25 PM
Hello everyone!
Recently I was thinking about BTC payments and I believe that the system is moving towards bitcoin adoption and paying with bitcoin. And it's great!

But the problem for me is that anytime I think about paying with BTC I feel somehow uncomfortable. I always remember the guy who spent 30+ bitcoins on pizza and now these bitcoins are worth a fortune. Like I don't want to be this guy and pay with an asset that WILL go up in price. It feels like you paying more for the product from a future perspective.

What are your thoughts about this? Personally, I usually try to buy with stablecoins if I have some, it just feels more natural for me. I don't want to touch my BTC while the market is still bad.
If you feel uncomfortable spending your btc, then just hold it. Spend it only in case of emergency or when your funds are not enough to pay so spending a portion of your btc is quite reasonable. I guess you are not alone as most of us here are still hesitant to spend our hard-earned coins but if spending could contribute to faster adoption for bitcoin, then we should ought to spend a portion of our hodlings so we can do our part too. After all, bitcoin is not just a sole investment but certainly designed to be a good currency.
1200  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Neymar Loses €1M in Casino in Just an Hour on: March 31, 2023, 07:35:42 PM
Liberty means that anyone can do whatever they want as long as they are not hurting other people. Neymar didn't gamble with anyone's money, he didn't lose anyone else's money, he didn't broadcasted it so that addicted people should watch, he didn't force anyone to watch, and he didn't lose on purpose to make others feel better about their loss neither.

It was his own money, his on computer, his on webcam, his own twitch channel, if YOU end up watching him and get a bad lesson out of this, that's your fault. You can't claim its unethical just because what he did put a wrong psychological thought into your brain, that's what you did, not him. I believe he has every right to do this as he wants.
With liberty, anyone is free to pursue his own interest or preference in life and I think Neymar is a perfect example for it. So if he lose that huge amount, I think he’s prepared for it, as much as he also wishes to double the amount if he’s lucky enough. Though there might be some regrets, but you know for wealthy man like Neymar, money is only used to enjoy his luxurious lifestyle and sustain whatever he needs to sustain. In the end, as long as Neymar is able to regain whatever he lose, that will be good enough.
