1161  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can this be effective against the increasing numbers of gamblers? on: April 13, 2023, 08:50:49 PM
Not gonna affect people.

People still gonna gamble, especially in "Football" which generated the most revenue on gambling. As you can see, even in the World Cup on QATAR with most religions countries.

Gambling revenue comparing 2018 world cup has just increase 13% without any betting sponsor.
I also think this will not create any difference in gambling. People will continue to gamble because they were used to it most particularly for football as it’s gaining a lot of popularity and demand from all gamblers all over the world. So with or without betting sponsor, gambling will still be a big hit for football as most of the audience too are probably fond in gambling.
1162  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tipping Dealers on: April 10, 2023, 07:08:35 PM
~snip~
For those who have ever tipped a dealer, have you been so satisfied with a dealer that you tipped them something other than a chip, money ?
^ For me, it is generally seen as a way to express gratitude for good service, while tipping with cash or chips is the most common way to show appreciation for a dealer's work, it is not unheard of to tip with something more unusual. But on my side, I will not give tips once I lose, I give tips when I am in a winning situation. However, they know already that tipping should never be seen as mandatory or expected, while it is a way to show appreciation only. That is a lucky dealer who has received car as a tip, probably that player who gave tip has won a big amount.
Well, tipping is only our act of being grateful for their service and for their job well done. Though it’s not compulsory, but i think it’s a like a culture in casinos that you have to give them something or reward them because you were satisfied of their services. However, it mostly happens when you are in profits, some may even leave generous tips for them. But in times where you are in a great loss, mostly dealers do not receive anything from gamblers.
1163  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much these features weigh most when you choose your favorite casino? on: April 10, 2023, 01:48:41 PM
This is my rating. This is a little different from @cryptoperkele's rating and much of everyone's ratings hehe. However, we should give more importance to a good rewards program, a good user interface and a good help desk. If a gambling site has these, it will certainly have a strong community and a good reputation heheheh.

Features:Importance:
Huge variety of games and different sections (sports, live tables, etc
Good bonus/reward program
Good looking, intuitive and fast user interface
Good help desk
Strong community/ Reputation
The age of the site
Casino's own token that pays dividends / ability to mine it by gambling
Instant deposits & payments
No Kyc
Nr of payment methods

I guess putting the highest emphasis in strong community/ reputation will top it all. Because if a certain casino is reputable, that means everything in it is perfectly aligned. So no need to worry on good bonuses, good help desk and fast user interface as they can be well observed and practiced in a reputable casino.
1164  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 13) on: April 10, 2023, 08:09:48 AM

Just baby steps for Casimero starting in this fight and I think he will be good in this division. Inoue on the other hand has his hands full with Fulton and maybe the other champion in this division.

They might take a different path, but if Inoue win against Fulton then all roads lead to him. So Casimero will have to win every fight moving forward starting here. And he should fight big name after this one so that he will be recognized by the governing body as a potential mandatory fighter for Inoue in the future. So still there is a big chance for him to face Inoue as this is the fight that he wanted since bantamweight.
We could assume that it was an easy fight for Casimero, unlike the way we think if he fights against Inoue. But it looks like their path is too long to cross but fans are waiting.

But in this fight of Casimero against a not known boxer, it is something it won't help to bring him closer to a big fight but just drop it down. We don't know of their plan but honestly, it is more interesting to witness his fight if he faces known boxers in his current division, unlike this which was just like an easy game for him(in my opinion).
I would agree to this. This fight maybe an easy win for Casimero since it’s obvious that he got all the advantage compared to his opponent. But honestly, matches like this will not improve and level up his boxing career. He should be pair with another impressive fighter so that there is more challenge and that the audience too will be more entertained watching them. I just hope after this fight, Casimero will face a challenger that is also equal with his potentials as that will determine who is really the undisputed one.
1165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Martingale strategy in casinos on: April 10, 2023, 07:21:27 AM
Martingale strategy in casinos. How do you feel about it?  Huh Huh Huh My little experience sometimes comes with a good result) but more often the result is negative
If you are trying the martingale strategy just to get some fun then that is fine, however if you are expecting positive results from it then I am sorry to disappoint you as this will not happen, the idea behind martingale is attractive, if you lose and you double the amount of money at risk during the next bet not only you can win your bet but you can recover the money you have lost previously, however casinos know about this strategy and they do not fear it, do you know why? Because over the long term you will lose enough times in a row and lose all your capital.
Martingale strategy is attractive but only for those who have not been there and are still tempted to bet because of their greed. However, for those who have been doing martingale before, I guess most of them are not gonna do it again and just settle for small bets if their bankroll are just limited. Except for rich and high rollers as they have all the reason to love this strategy since losing their bets cannot affect them financially.
1166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Times When Casinos Will Ask Certificate That You Are A Responsible Gambler on: April 10, 2023, 06:34:18 AM
My opinion is that it is practically impossible to happen in free countries.
Even if a person is "addicted", the individual is free to make the choice to gamble or not. It is not an activity where the company forces the person to gamble.
Just make the comparison with addictions to drink and cigarettes, nobody is forbidden to buy or consume.
There can be discouraging actions, but a certificate like this I find extremely difficult.

Controlling countries can easily make gambling illegal or not allow the individual.
I believe that most gambling sites contain a readme with the information that everyone is responsible for the bets and the money.

In your opinion, who would issue this certificate? Who would have the right to decide whether or not the individual can bet?

You have a point mate. As long as you're living in a democratic country, you have all the right what to do in your life as long as its not against the government rules. You can drink, smoke, or gamble all you want, but make sure you are responsible of its consequences. And with regards to this type of certificate, I guess this is only possible in countries with small population as the government can control every actions of their citizens. Other than that, majority of the countries cannot control the activities of every citizen, though they can make restrictions.
1167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: who Want To Bet On 2024 USA elections? on: April 09, 2023, 09:58:04 PM
As you all will say that Still there is almost 1 and half year away for USA elections but still I want to highlight this option because here there will be almost in millions of bets that people will do and also that's based on speculations and also someone's interest.
I think that this could be one of the biggest Bets we can see because a whole world Knows america and it's superpower and it's has international recognization because of it's influence to the whole world.
So what are your speculations over this USA elections. And I know that everybody has their own speculations and also wins and also loose. So let's see what will happen?

It would be nice to see some new blood in the game, I see John F. Kennedy Jr. has thrown his hat into the ring as a possible candidate for the Democratic party, at 69 he's at least younger than the current two expected candidates. However it would be nice to see some people in their 40's or 50's who are well balanced, able to negotiate across party lines and generally more in tune with the generations either side of them. It seems obscene in the current age that the most sophisticated and advanced country on the planet is stuck with two contenders on the verge of going senile. It's very hard to predict the winner but it feels like Trump is definitely too tarnished compared to his first run.
Well, Trump might still get the power from the people as he still has a lot of connections to help in his campaign, but talking about his productivity as a politician, I don’t things he’s capable enough. I just hope to see a new candidate that is all in, you know with a younger age and that has bigger plans for the future of the country, and not just to fulfill one’s desire by entering politics.
1168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Thought On Gambling Strategies on: April 09, 2023, 09:42:17 PM
I think people don't understand that there is no strategy in gambling. Gamble but consider your spendings on it as an entertainment expense. Got luck on your side and won? Good. If you don't you still had fun.

I guess what people need in gambling is more of luck than strategies or skills. Because even in games like sportsbetting, though it’s a skill-based, but I believe if you don’t have luck, you will never have the chances to win too. That’s the reason why gambling is not to earn a living but only for fun and entertainment purposes only. Otherwise, you will never see the good side in gambling.
1169  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How not having money helped my Bitcoin journey on: April 09, 2023, 09:19:07 PM
You are right in there. Money should not be the first thing to acquire but certainly knowledge and skills. Invest in yourself first before you invest for profits. And once you have that, you will have easy money coming your way. However, when it comes to investing, it’s still a basic thing to do to invest cautiously. Especially if you have less money to invest, at least you should be avoiding creating mistakes as that will lose the money that you put in.
1170  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How honest and transparent are casinos? on: April 09, 2023, 08:27:51 PM
I have seen several casinos with promotions where they do "drops" to thousands of people or they give bonuses to several gamblers, but how transparent is this process?

Do you think casinos are really doing these drops to 1000s of people or are they skimming from the top.... ? They might say a drop is for 2500 people, but they might only drop for 500 people and nobody will know. Yes, some of those 500 people will report that they have received the drop and it will look legit.... but is it really?

How can the gamblers verify that the actual amount of people are receiving the drop or the bonus, if there are no list to verify it? Let's discuss this.. I am curious if other people also thought about this...  Tongue

We will never know, just like when others accused casinos of cheating them and that the casino's are not fair. Not unless they will have to show us the name of the gamblers that have received the drop and they themselves confirmed it. But as gamblers in crypto, we wanted to remain as private and anonymous so I doubt that casinos will give us the names or the gamblers confirming that they've got the drop.

So for me there's no way to confirmed it.
I also think that it’s not even necessary to know the list of those who were given the drop, for what? Whatever it is, casinos have all the right either to disclose or to keep it private since it’s just a bonus and it’s not that they should be obliged to give that. What I am more concern is their transparency and honesty when it comes to releasing our funds especially for big wins. Otherwise, it will cause a big problem not just to the player but even to the casino’s reputation.
1171  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rigged Game on: April 09, 2023, 07:46:10 PM
I just thought I would be unlucky if I lost many games and wouldn't blame the casino because it was my own fault. Also, I only play in trusted casinos so I would not believe that they are cheating the players and taking the money, even if it is a small amount of money.

There might be a way of knowing that a casino is cheating or honest but I don't know how. If you play at a casino suspected of cheating its members, you may also be suspicious of the casino.
Well, as much as gambling is concern, once you’re unlucky, it’s possible that you will end up losing from all your games and eventually used up all your money. However, in cases that the games are rigged, that’s the main reason why we should avoid playing unlicensed casinos because they can actually do that, unfortunately we can’t sue them for that since they are even unregistered. And maybe there’s a way of identifying the games that are being rigged, but maybe the casinos are not practicing it or it’s just that no casino will ever admit that their games are rigged regardless of how reputable or not the casino is.

1173  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: People mindset in Bitcoin on: April 08, 2023, 09:13:00 PM
for those who have knowledge and skills, of course, Bitcoin can make them rich. it is for those who see an opportunity. but not for those with blind ambition.
get rich in no time, I don't see that anyone can do. including with Bitcoins. all successful people have a steep road. they achieve it with hard work and perseverance. those who have seen Bitcoin change someone's finances for the better, with trust and consistency in Bitcoin investment. many beginners think it's easy, but in fact, more of those who try to fail to hold.
I guess there is no shortcut to being rich, everything is done by hardwork, full determination and perseverance. Even in gambling, you can’t expect that those who hit the jackpot prize and become instantly millionaire have not lose a thousand at first. Most especially with bitcoin, knowing the risk is high, still even if you have high knowledge and honed skills in it, you won’t be easily become rich with bitcoin. But for those who have been investing bitcoin for such a long time and has been managing their risks all throughout that long years, most likely they have been in a state right now of financial stability and independence.
1174  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Skill Based Slot Machines on: April 08, 2023, 12:36:29 PM
You are probably misunderstanding the whole concept here, the implementation of a skill-based bonus round doesn't mean that the luck factor is removed, there cannot be a game of gambling that can be won without luck, no matter how much changes, developments, and implementations are made for it, it will still be a game of luck at the end of the day.

Your winnings will still be dependent on luck even in a skill-based slots machine, the only difference will be is that you will be given a bonus round where you can maximize your winnings by playing a skill-based game since we don't have any more information about it so far, that's all you should know for now.
Besides even if the element of luck was removed then we need to wonder if the game is still considered a gambling game at all? If I am not mistaken chess or at least one of the variants of chaturanga called chaturaji was played with dice, making it a gambling game, but once you remove this element then it would become a game of skill.

So even if slots add an element of skill for the player, at the end the most important factor when it comes to winning is still their luck, as it is unlikely any casino will implement a slot machine with a bonus which will make them to lose any money.
Probably, this is just another strategy of the casinos so that players will be more tempted to play slots and would be somehow deceived that it’s not anymore a game of pure luck but certainly all about skills too. Beginners might believe on this and manage to play but lose more, but for long time gamblers they will never see slots that will increase your winning chances but still a game of pure luck that will only make you lose if you’re not lucky enough.
1175  Economy / Gambling / Re: Enough to consider a casino scam? on: April 08, 2023, 12:05:15 PM
Hi friends, I have some questions for you guys about online casinos

What will you do if you don't know that a online casino will ask you for KYC after winning over 8,000$ on the platform? And you now manage to process with the verification and they failed to pass you? Can you consider such a casino a scam?

Also, imagine you get attracted to an online casino because of the bonuses they offer and you open an account and make your first deposit then you didn't receive the promised bonus, is this an act of scam or not?

I am trying to solve such an issue for someone very close to me and that the complaint he gave, I have no answer than maybe the bonus was canceled already before he made the deposit or there was a minimum deposit requirement.

Any other reasons?
If I have to answer it honestly, I would quickly say that they are clearly scamming you. But I believe everything that a casino will perform has got to do with its ToS, and if you fail to read and understand it, you will immediately suspect them as scammers. Besides, it’s certain that with those huge wins made by players, the casino will eventually require them to pass for KYC so that the funds will be refunded. However, in the case that your KYC has failed and was not approved, probably there was a mistake with the documents you pass to them. So you better find it then by contacting the management or the customer service in charge.
1176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to convince a sceptical person to buy Bitcoin ? on: April 08, 2023, 11:37:45 AM
Although within this community Bitcoin is practically the only currency in which everyone believes, just look around a bit and we will find thousands of people who think otherwise.
At this point I wonder, what reasons should we give these people to make them realise that Bitcoin is a right choice? The first argument that comes to mind to convince a person who is sceptical about Bitcoin, is first of all that with Bitcoin you no longer need to delegate the custody of your money to a third party (banks, mutual funds, etc.): you are the master and you hold them. What else would you add?
Even if you tell him everything about bitcoin, as long as he’s doubtful and skeptical about the legitimacy of bitcoin, he will always stick to what he often believes. So it’s better to leave him that way and let’s see if he won’t change his mind in the future if majority of the people are already using bitcoin. But I doubt if it will happen, unless the government has legally adopted bitcoin as a currency.
1177  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: one mistake that crypto beginners should be aware of ? on: April 07, 2023, 10:06:23 PM
Mistakes shouldn’t be overlooked and there’s no one mistake only that newbie should be aware of because all of them should be considered. Focusing on limiting yourself to prevent a single mistake will just just give a terrible result in the future because you are allowing other mistake to come at you.

In general, Being cautious by not trusting everyone here in crypto space is the best thing to do. Use a service as if they will scam you so that you will not be comfortable leaving your asset unsecured with them. As a newbie, They are the one that needs extra caution on what they are dealing in crypto but sadly most of the newbie are careless and just learning from mistakes after losing their funds.
That is the reality to most of the beginners out there, they tend to invest and trade quickly because of their greed to make instant profits, and when they start to fail and losing their money, that’s the only time they will learn. When in fact, they should be learning at first before they consider to invest or trade. Furthermore, I believe not just newbies but certainly all crypto investors and traders should take them with caution. Otherwise, they will never learn from it and continue to commit mistakes the same way as before.
1178  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbie: If trading isn't working for you, buy and hold. on: April 07, 2023, 09:45:20 PM
Every newbie who gets to know about about bitcoin mostly conceives the idea that you must have to trade or be a good trader for you to make or be able to earn on bitcoin.
I think it's the opposite, those that I've talked to personally were all just newbies and one thing in common that they believe. And that's just to buy bitcoin and they all gonna be rich. That's the contrary of what you've said about someone has to trade and be profitable in trading bitcoin.

I guess most of us has got that story when someone thinks that having bitcoin is already enough and holding it is the best strategy. That isn't wrong and that's actually what most of us are doing, these newbies weren't also wrong but they lack patience and being profitable by just holding and buying it are all correct.

But to understand of by buying and holding, we're not free from the risk.
I have no doubt in that, since buying and hodling is profitable enough. But still, it’s never free from risk so you have to be very patient and be strong enough not to fall from any pressures that would lead you to sell. However with trading, I know it’s more profitable than hodling alone, but I believe if you can be good in hodling too, your profits will be as huge as trading too.
1179  Economy / Economics / Re: Is some certain lifestyle a waste of money and time ? on: April 07, 2023, 09:30:20 PM
It’s very obvious that your friends are having a lifestyle that is not appropriate since they are clearly wasting their  own money and time with their vice. Though I also drink, but I make it sure that it only happens when there are special events or simply I do it occasionally, and definitely not as often as 4x a week. You can support and join them if you want but learn to prioritize your family first over your friends. And maybe you can also advise your friends to lessen their expenses when it comes to drinking, but make sure you do it not in an offensive manner.
1180  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some scams that can be avoided that people failed to check!!! on: April 06, 2023, 09:57:36 PM
All your tips explain phishing in one way or another, simply because it is an attempt to use a service that claims to be a reliable service, or at least there is an unreliable service that wants to attract followers by offering offers that are too good to be true.
But the fraud is much greater than that. You may find a real service that works for several years, and yet it deceives you.
So preparing static lists will not solve the problem, but:

 - Be skeptical.
 - Do not trust any service.
 - Always ask and do not be shy to ask the question, no matter how stupid.
 - Finally, do not think that you know everything, because it is the scammers' way of finding victims.
That’s why constant research and education is necessary so that we won’t fall into these type of scams. And never be greedy as greed will always lead to its consequences that you will only regret in the end. And never trust any link or service providers as they could be a source of scams, so always take caution in everything that you plan to do.
